Reality
Sam walked into the main room of their Bunker, keeping an eye out for his brother. He hadn't seen him for a few hours now, so it started to get him worried and a tad bit suspicious. Of course, they're grown men but it was his older brother - the man that could change the mood in three seconds flat.
So, he was worried and suspicious, for his sake. His mind's other half was telling him that it was nothing and he should continue his routine, so, that's what he did.
Sam pulled up a chair and sat down, then pulled out his phone and started checking any cases he and Dean could do. After a boring few minutes of seeing news reports of regular things, his eyes landed on one in particular, which caused him to straighten himself. His eyebrows shot up as he continued to read the report more carefully and putting it as a suspected monster case. Just as he was about to dial up his brother, the thought-of man walked in from the ground floor with a plastic bag.
"Hey Sammie," Dean smirked as he descended the metallic stairs.
"Hey Dean," the taller man said back, keeping his eyes on his phone. "Guess what I came across?"
"A case?" The shorter brother guessed correctly. He sat down across his brother and started taking out the food that he brought, which happened to be burgers and pie.
"Yup. 'A young woman suddenly passed away in her sleep; her cause of death was unknown'-"
"What's so special about that?" Dean interrupted with a mouthful of bread and meat.
"Well, I don't think it's something normal, I mean, people die from something all the time and you were able to tell the cause of it but her? It's just… odd," Sam reasoned, wrinkling his nose as he went into thought. "I say we check it out. It might be something up our alley."
Dean, with a heavy sigh, swallowed his bite of food and put his burger down, then looked at his younger brother. "Where?"
"Um, it's ten minutes away from here," Sam raised his eyebrows. "Looks like if it is nothing, at least we won't be going far."
"Alright, we'll head over. We'll leave in five."
James and Carlos grinned when they saw on their TV that the new episode of 'Supernatural' was on in ten minutes. They made a quick plan; the shorter teen gets the snacks ready while the tallest rushes down to get their two other friends. James had to be sneaky about it though. People in the Palm Woods don't like or believe in the show's content like the four boys do so, to keep up their reputation, they didn't tell anyone.
Even Mrs. Knight and Katie were oblivious to this, since they didn't like the boys wasting their time on nonsense or 'stupid things'. BTR did their watching in secret because of it. So, Carlos needed to hook up a smaller, less expensive, TV in the boys' shared room so they could watch it.
James, who had snatched Kendall and Logan away from their dates, had returned to the crib with the excited two in the back.
"I wonder what Sam and Dean are going to do in this episode! After that whole thing with the First Blade and the Mark of Cain, they must be doing something cool now," Logan grinned when the three made it to their room and saw a pile of snacks on the floor next to the TV and some pillows and blankets too.
"They're probably going to catch a small break after that - I mean, come on! Dean and Sam had a battle against each other while Castiel had to compete to get his powers back," Kendall thought out loud as he plopped down on his bed, being closest to the television.
"We won't have to wait for an answer for long because the show is starting!" Carlos spoke up, bringing his attention to the screen while the others positioned themselves and did the same as him. They were extremely captivated by the show's review of what happened in the last season. Then the show began with its intro then showed Sam Winchester coming up into the scene and look around, then sat down in his seat.
The Winchester brothers had finally arrived at the police station, both wearing their FBI outfits and fake badges in their pockets. When they entered, the two were immediately greeted by an enthusiastic secretary.
"Welcome! What can I do for you boys today?" The woman with a heavy southern accent smiled at them. The two forced a quick smile then went down to business as they showed their badges.
"I'm Detective Mason, my partner is Detective Hines," Sam introduced. "We're here to look into the death of Danielle Harper."
"Now, why would you look into that? Is the FBI that curious or bored to look into something as simple as this?" She questioned innocently.
"We happened to be passing through the town when we heard. It just seemed strange to us why someone could randomly die in their sleep," Dean curtly explained. The woman nodded.
"Well, if you're interested in that, then I suggest you look into these as well." She pulled out multiple file folders and opened all of them so the men could see. "Harper wasn't the only one who passed the way she did. Three others before her had the same thing and all died with unknown causes," she informed them quietly.
The 'detectives' scanned the victim's information.
"Have the police suspect anything about how this could have happened?" Sam asked, not moving his eyes away from the papers.
"No. We all just think that it could have been something natural, like a heart attack," the secretary sighed. The men nodded, gave her back the file folders, and left the building. As they got into the impala, they started the plan of action.
"So, we know that at least four people have died the same as Harper, they no connections with each other, and had died in their sleep," Sam summarized.
"Well, it does look like this might be up our alley," Dean nodded. "Should we ask the locals or any connections with the victims that maybe before they died, they could have spilled what they were experiencing?"
"Harper was a college student so she had a roommate. I'll go check her while you check out the place she died in. She may have been cursed or sabotaged by a witch for all we know, so try to find anything that might lead us in the right direction," the taller one decided. The shorter nodded and started the car.
The teens of BTR groaned when there was a commercial break, obviously didn't help their excitement to know what happened next. However, they quickly stopped their moaning when they heard the apartment door open. Kendall, acting quickly, shut off the TV while Logan threw a blanket over their snacks then James and Carlos threw a sheet over the television. At once, the four threw themselves in bed and pretended to sleep. Not a few seconds later, their bedroom door opened.
Mrs. Knight, who was out all day with her daughter, smiled at the boys as they slept soundly. Or, with snores that is. Not wanting to wake them up from their slumber, she quietly closed the door and went to her room, having already said goodnight to Katie.
Once the coast was clear, the four boys started moving again. The hopped off their beds and took off the blankets from the items, then turned the TV back on. They lowered down the volume and made sure not to be making any noise during the show, knowing perfectly well that they couldn't afford to get caught.
The boys grinned when 'Supernatural' came back on, the scene starting with Sam with a young woman who the boys already guess was Danielle Harper's roommate.
"Sorry for disturbing you and your studies but, I'm here to investigate your roommate's death," Sam started, the two standing outside of a classroom that the girl was previously pulled out of. The girl, who was named Amy, sighed in stress. "I understand that this is hard for you but, I need you to help me so I could figure this out."
"Danielle… she was a good friend, not just a roommate," Amy began in a low tone. "She had always helped me with my work and let me hang with her when she went to parties. Danielle, it was like she had no care in the world and was always so happy - I was sometimes jealous. I asked myself why I couldn't be like her. I confronted her about it but she told me right away that I shouldn't be like her… but more like me."
Sam nodded.
"Everything was great and perfect for us… until one day, sometime last week, she started acting strange," she admitted, furrowing her eyebrows together. "Instead of her happy, care-free self, she seemed more - paranoid? Scared? I don't know, but it was strange to see her like that. It was like those types of feelings or emotions don't match up with Danielle's natural personality. Still, I thought she was feeling a little down because not too long before that, her parents divorced, but she didn't react right away. So, I thought it was just her delayed reaction taking effect. But… it started getting worse, her whole mood and entire personality turned to a complete 180."
Sam furrowed his eyebrows together.
"I asked Danielle the day before she died on why she had been acting that way," Amy continued, starting to fiddle with the string of her hoodie. "It took me a while but I finally got her to admit what she was going through. Every night since the beginning of the week, she had been waking up to a lot of pressure on her chest and she could never move in bed, like something we holding her down. Danielle said that every time she woke up, she felt like something was standing on top of her chest. That's why she never slept for that whole week, only going off of caffeine to keep her running."
Sam, by the time she was finished, was deep in thought. His head going through all the possibilities of what Amy was describing. He sighed when he couldn't remember what it was.
The boys of BTR had their skins crawling when they heard the confession of Amy, all of them silently trying to figure out what the Winchester boys were up against. They didn't have much time to figure it out as the next scene played, this one was Dean in a college dorm room.
Dean was pretty relieved when he found Danielle's door room. He had been searching for quite a while until he gave up and decided to ask someone who she was and where her dorm was. Luckily, he asked the right person because it happened to be the IT of her building. Before he began his search, the previous owner of the Mark of Cain scanned the room.
The room was an average apartment size, perfect for two people that had a small kitchen, bathroom, and one bedroom. Immediately, he pulled his old homemade EMF device and scanned the area in case there was anything worth investigating. Fortunately for him, there wasn't anything plugged in and no powerlines that might disturb the readings. As he waved the device around the room, he received no spike, at least that was until he reached the bed where, unbeknownst to him, was where Danielle slept. The readings started spiking, which made the small lights on the busted Walkman light up.
"Huh, I guess it's a spirit of some kind," Dean muttered to himself, putting the device away. The man started searching all over the bed, for any clue that might help him figure out what the spirit is. It was until he lifted the mattress is when he found something - iron nails. A bunch of them.
"Hmm…" Dean furrowed his eyes as he grabbed one of the many nails and examined it. 'Iron' he thought. 'Why would she place iron nails all beneath her bed?' He dropped the mattress and stuffed the nail into his pocket, then he received a phone call. Grabbing his phone and looking at the name, he picked it up. "Hey, Sammie. Did you find anything?"
"Yeah," Sam spoke from the phone. "I just finished talking to Amy, the victim's roommate? Apparently, Danielle was a pretty happy person until last week where she started acting differently."
"Like how?"
"Well, she never got any sleep and when she did, she woke up to feeling like someone's standing on top of her chest, preventing her to move and putting a lot of pressure on her. It had been going on for a week until she died," the man reported. "I also checked on records of the other victims and-"
"They got sudden mood swings and died in a week?" Dean guessed, heading out of the dorm room.
"Yup. Did you find anything?"
"Yeah. I checked the EMF readings and they're all catching something right on, what I think is, Danielle's bed. When I lifted her mattress, you wouldn't believe what I found."
"What?"
"Iron nails."
"Iron nails? Huh."
"I thought the same thing. There was a bunch of them under her mattress. If she was being attacked on something, she might have thought that putting nails under her bed might stop them. After all, iron does stop ghosts dead in their tracks- ha, get it?" Dean grinned at his accidental word-play.
"... I'll meet you at the Impala," Sam said, clearly not having it with the jokes, making Dean's smile wiped from his face. When the two hung up, the man sighed.
"People never appreciate good humor," he mumbled to himself, then walked off.
A phone started ringing. The boys looked at one another but ultimately it fell to Logan. Wincing when he saw the caller ID, he picked it up.
"Hi… um, okay… yeah sure… right now?... are you sure?...*sigh*okay, I'll see you soon," Logan sighed again when he hung up and looked at his confused friends. "Gustavo wants us to head to the studio to do some last-minute recordings that Griffen wants."
The boys groaned and whined in an instant.
"But what about the show?!" James motioned to the TV.
"Shh! My mom and Katie are still in the other rooms, so quiet down," Kendall hissed. "We'll just use our phones. We all have the TV app right?"
The rest nodded.
"Okay then, let's watch it on the way there and try to get in as much as possible," the dirty blonde planned, getting smiles from the rest. So, with a new plan, they turned off the TV, turned on their phones to connect with the running show, grabbed some snacks for the ride, and left the apartment, not without telling their guardian where they are going.
As they waited for the limo to pick them up, they all used James' phone (which had a bigger screen) to watch the show that resumed its place.
Sam and Dean had met up at the Impala and were seen sitting at the desk in their bunker, to try and find out what they were dealing with through the different research books written by the Men of Letters. The brothers, after hours of searching, were running low on energy and becoming more bored by the second… at least, Dean was.
"Dean!" Sam scolded, smacking his brother's arm, causing the man to wake up from his accidental nap. "Focus, we need to keep looking before-"
"'Before more people die' yeah you've said that already," the shorter one groaned. This response caused the taller, but not older, brother to roll his eyes.
"Well, we could finish faster if you weren't falling asleep every five minutes." Before Dean could retort, there was a sudden sound of flapping wings and, in front of the, Castiel appeared, dull face and beige-est trenchcoat as ever.
"Hello, Dean," Castiel's raspy voice greeted, but a silent one was given to the other as well. This sudden appearance, however, lit up Dean's face more than ever, then it changed back to serious.
"Hey, Cas… you have your angel powers back right? All of them?" He questioned, a smirk forming on his face.
"They're not as powerful as when I was still a powerful angel, like when we first met, so they are failing, but it should keep me-"
"Okay yeah," he cut him off. "So, we're working on a case. This woman, before she died in her sleep by an unknown cause, she said that she kept being woken up by something standing on her chest and she couldn't move her body. This made her entire personality go upside down. So-"
"He's not going to know Dean, let's just get back to-" Sam was cut off by Castiel.
"You are most likely after a 'Cauchemar' which stands for 'Night mare' in French. The demons will jump on the chests of sleeping humans, inflicting pain and crushing the life out of them, similar to an incubus. The victim will wake from this attack, feeling the heavy pressure against their chest and unable to move," the angel informed, getting surprised and smug looks from the two. It's obvious which expressions belong to the brothers.
"See. Who needs books when we have a walking computer," Dean smirked.
"I'm not a computer, I'm an angel," Castiel corrected, getting an eye roll.
"...Ah, here it is," Sam spoke up, looking at one of the many books. "Looks like Cas might be right. If this is a Cauchemar, then all we need to kill it is… by hanging it with a noose coated in blessed goat's blood. Yeesh."
"How could we find this thing?" Dean questioned.
"Summoning spell" was all Sam said.
"Alright, well, you will start to get the spell ready while I make a noose-"
"And I'll get the goat," the angel volunteered, getting bewildered looks from the brothers but he didn't mind. Without another word, he vanished with the same flapping sounds from earlier. Seeing that it was their queue, Sam and Dean left the area to start on their tasks.
Kendall, James, Logan, and Carlos were sweating in anticipation when another commercial break came one but, unfortunately, they had made it to Rocque Records. Not wanting to waste any time, the four pushed each other out of the car and rushed to the inside of their studio, where their music producer and his assistant waited with tired and irritated looks.
"Dogs!" Gustavo called, seeing them approach and not noticing how anxious they look. "Griffen wants to record a song-"
"Yeah, and we need to sing it, so can we please hurry up and do that!" Carlos rushed, bouncing from foot to foot. The two adults were a little thrown off by the slightly rude comment, especially by the nice one, but they didn't comment, only lead them to the recording studio.
He didn't need to since the boys were already there and singing their song in a rush. Gustavo quickly moved to his desk and tried to perfect it but, not five seconds later, the boys finished and rushed out of the booth and to Gustavo's office. James locked the door while Logan set up the show on their boss' computer.
The boys sighed in relief when they made it just in time, and gathered themselves around the monitor as they watched, ignoring the yells and bangs from the door.
The three men had finished their tasks (two of them being weirded out by the third, who had been smiling ever since his 'hunt' for goat) and had met back up in the main room of the bunker. Dean, who had the finished noose, dipped it into the bowl of blood and held it until the demon creature came. Castiel also pulled out his angel blade in case as Sam started the summoning spell.
"Ex quo sequuntur somnia, et doloris, congreget in horrea: sollicitudine et timore autem ejus daemon sed inferentis mortem somno," he recited. A dark opening appeared in front of them and a small goblin-like creature on top of a black horse rode in. It grinned when his red eyes landed on the shorter Winchester.
"Hm… you have night terrors… that plague your mind… during the times… where one… usually rests," it's raspy voice spoke in breaths. Although unnerved, Dean still held a strong front.
"Now Dean!" Sam signaled, which allowed the older brother to throw the bloody noose at the demon, but it saw it coming. The Cauchemar moved him and his horse in time, then smirked at the brothers. The angel tried to attack by slashing his blade around but, once again, was dodged.
The Cauchemar grinned sinisterly as his needy red eyes landed on a certain man. In a quick moment, the demon and horse passed through Dean like a ghost then turned back to them, knowing exactly what it did. "Now, I must… be on my… way. I wouldn't… want to miss… my next… appointment!"
"Alright, time for plan B!" Sam called again. This time, Castiel poured a special pre-mixed potion into a bowl, which opened another portal. The plan was to suck the demon away to a different place it can't harm anyone but, since it WAS a pre-mixed potion, it has more defects to it. As in, when the portal opened to an unknown place, the Cauchemar was sucked in, but so were the three other men.
The boys were shocked at how the episode was left off for another commercial break. What was going to happen? Why was that monster staring at Dean like that? Why are there so many commercial breaks?! Those were the questions going through the minds of four teenagers. Finally, when the commercial started again, Kendall opened the door to a furious producer.
"Thanks for letting us use your officer and computer Gustavo," the dirty blonde thanked innocently with a smile but for everyone who knew Kendall, that smile meant either; A) 'what are you going to do about it', B) ha, I beat you, or C) I'm smart, you're not you stupid b-
"DOGS! BOOTH, NOW!" He roared, his face redder than a tomato. The boys, although still excited to see the next part of their show, listened and went to the recording booth. The producer plopped in his chair as Kelly stood next to him.
"Alright guys, you just need to sing 'City is Ours' then you're free to go," the assistant nicely instructed, getting thumbs up from the boys. On a count of three, BTR started the song.
It went nicely - the pitches were perfect, the tone and sensitivity to the lyrics were sung correctly, and Gustavo didn't cut them off like usual so, it went great. Just as Kendall finished the song, there was a sudden dark light that came from Gustavo's computer. James, who happened to be in the right angle to see it, ran out of the booth to investigate. His friends followed, obviously confused, but Gustavo and Kelly stayed since they had to review the song and didn't notice the boys leave.
The boys reached the room and, with wide eyes, watched a purple portal start from the computer and transport three familiar figures into the room the four boys were in. Kendall secretly closed the door when they recognized who the three were. James and Carlos immediately gasped and hugged each other while Kendall and Logan's jaws dropped.
"They're the guys from Supernatural!" The hugging pair squealed like teenage girls.
"They're the guys from Supernatural?!" The jaw dropped teens exclaimed.
"Okay, um, I don't know who you are or where we are but um… who's the guys from Supernatural?" Dean questioned, furrowing his eyes in confusion.
"You are… the show you are in?" Logan helped, but the three newcomers were still confused. Then, an idea popped into the teen's head. "Where do you think that spell took you three?"
"... How do you know about that?" Castiel questioned back, exposing his angel blade, which caused the four teens to step back, knowing exactly how powerful the thing is.
"W-We watched your latest episode, or until the commercials came back on again," James stuttered.
"Dean, this may be like that time where we were transported to a different dimension where we were the actors to the show called 'Supernatural'," Sam whispered to his brother. "But this time, we were just transporting ourselves to a time WITH the actors themselves."
"English, Sam!" Dean hissed.
"I mean it's like the characters of your favorite show just popped up from their show but, what they think is just a program, is actually the real world of the characters," the man elaborated.
"That's exactly what happened," Kendall pipped up.
"Well, it doesn't matter, what we need to do is-"
"-find the Cauchemar because it might start killing people here? You have a point but you were the only ones that popped out of the computer," Logan interrupted.
"How did you-"
"We watch your show, like we said, and your newest episode is about the Cauchemar, which also might be your most recent case," Carlos cut off. "Like, we know that your Dean- you died like multiple times and even became a demon- which is awesome!" Dean flinched a little. "And you're Sam- you also died, had your soul taken, and your girlfriend died." Sam shifted his eyes downcast. "And you're Castiel- an angel that had worked with multiple demons, betrayed heaven, and had your powers taken away." Castiel gripped his blade harder. The boys, who had been listening to the boy rant, noticed these changes. "Man, you guys been through so~ much, I'm surprised you didn't-"
"Carlos!" Kendall shouted, making the teen look at him. When the leader motioned his eyes to the men, the Latino looked over and instantly felt guilty.
"Sorry," he apologized in a soft voice and he tucked himself in a bit. "Don't know when to shut up."
"It's fine, I guess we have been through a lot more than we realize," Sam softly smiled. "Anyway, who are you four? And where are we?"
"Well, I'm Kendall, that's Logan, James, and Carlos," the leader introduced. "We're a boy band, called Big Time Rush and you're in Los Angeles, California, or more specifically Rocque Records, our recording studio."
"You four are a boy band?" Dean repeated.
"What are you banned from?" Castiel questioned, making the men roll their eyes while the teens grinned.
"We're not banned by anything, but rather loved by thousands of people," James proudly explained. "We play music-"
"What type of music?" The shorter Winchester asked, folding his arms.
"Pop, rock, some R&B," Kendall answered.
"So-" Loud banging came from the closed door, making everyone jump. The men got into battle positions while the four boys started panicking.
"DOGS! GET OUT OF MY OFFICE AND GO HOME!" a voice boomed from behind the door.
"You guys need to hide!" Carlos whispered.
"I can send us somewhere else," Castiel volunteered. He placed hands on the shoulders of the men and looked up… but nothing happened. He tried again but the same thing occurred. "I can't use my powers."
"It may be because you're not in your own world, so your powers might not work," Logan guessed quietly. Just then, the door busted open revealing a, once again, furious producer. His anger, however, changed to confusion.
"Who are those three?" He questioned, though his voice was still angry.
"Um, they, uh," Logan stuttered, looking at the second tallest for help.
"They are here for maintenance in your office. They needed help so we did," Kendall lied.
"Yup, looks like your desk could stand an earthquake 'cause it's so sturdy!" Dean cheerfully added, getting odd looks from his brother and friend.
"If it's okay… then GET OUT!" Instantly, the teens and men rushed out of the office and started making their way home, them using the limo to get there.
"That man is terrifying," Castiel commented. "I do not understand, you have to work for him?"
"Yup," the teens nodded.
"You could stay with us, by the way, until you could kill that Cauchemar and go back home," Kendall suggested.
"We'll just book a motel," Sam decided instead as he patted his pocket, where his wallet should be, but instead he felt nothing but air. Now getting confused, he dug into his pockets but found nothing. "I forgot my wallet."
"That sucks," Dean snorted, but also seemed nervous.
"Dean," Sam suspiciously started. "Where's the money you won at the bar?"
"Hm?"
"Where's the money you won, Dean?" Sam asked again but a little louder. His older brother didn't answer, just sheepishly grinned. "Oh my god-! You spent it on pie again, didn't you?!"
"No, I didn't! I spent it on a part Baby needed!" Dean shot back. Then quietly added, " then I bought pie."
"Seriously?! Can't you take anything seriously? You wasted our entire savings on a stupid car part and something fatty!"
"Hey! It's not stupid, it's for my car! Plus, what's your problem with pie?! Let me have my food man!"
"It's not even food-!" By that time, they had finally made it back to the Palm Woods and were just seeing the men bicker. Castiel was used to it, but it was kind of new to the teens.
"Hey, how about we just calm down, head inside, and just think about kittens?" Carlos tried to interfere but immediately shrunken down when fiery eyes landed on him.
"SHUT UP, KID!" The men barked, making the whole vehicle silent. Carlos looked down in shame and quickly exited the car, his eyes getting watery. The remaining teens knew how sensitive their friend could be and seeing his fictional heroes yell at him like that, they knew it broke his heart. Just as the car door shut, the boys of BTR glared at the still bickering brothers.
"HEY!" Kendall shouted, making the men silent again. "You made our friend upset, and no one does that, especially with me around. I want you two apologize."
"He's a teenager and going to be a full-fledge adult soon, by the looks of it, he could handle it," Sam dismissed.
"Yeah, he might be, but this is Carlos. We know him. He's sensitive, especially when he got yelled at by his heroes," Logan frowned. This statement got him confused looks.
"His dream is to become a superhero. Sounds like a joke, right? Well, when he sees you two battling against evil just to protect the ones you care about, it only makes him believe he could be just like you," James explained, then his eyes landed on the shorter one. "Especially you."
"Why do you think he said that when you turned into a demon, it was awesome?" Kendall rhetorically asked. "Not only because he thought the entire season was amazing, but he loved it because he saw you fight the evil inside you just to protect your brother- to protect his family and everyone! And what you two did - it hurt him."
"..." Sam looked down in regret while Dean stared off into space with a hard glare. The silence was interrupted by the door suddenly opening to reveal Castiel with a frantic look, confusing and worrying them. They didn't see him leave the car.
"It's Cauchemar - it attacked Carlos and I," he reported, making everyone leave the car and run into the building in a flash. They found the Latino leaning against the front desk, breathing heavily.
"That… was ten times scarier than on TV," he breathed, shuddering at the thought of it. "That thing went right through me!"
"It did the same to me," Dean piped up. "Where did it go?"
"It left through the same portal he came with us," Castiel answered. "It first appeared near the elevators then told Carlos that he had interesting 'night terrors', then passed through him and vanished. By the looks of it, the Cauchemar can't escape this world."
"And now both Dean and Carlos are both cursed by the Cauchemar," Sam sighed. "We can't leave until we kill that thing. We also need a new noose dipped with goat's blood. Oh wait. We need ingredients for the summoning spell and I doubt we'll have the ingredients here…"
"I'm hating this world more and more," Dean muttered. The group, not seeing the reason to stay in the lobby, moved up to apartment 2J, and the three men were surprised by how expensive it looked. "Nice place."
"Thanks," Kendall nodded. "Okay, so, you three could sleep on the couches. Logan and James, can you go get the pillows and blankets?"
The two left.
"I suggest you apologize now," Kendall whispered in Sam's ear, then went to help the teens. The tall Winchester sighed and walked over to the silent Latino, who was preparing the couches for the visitors.
"Hey, Carlos?" The teen looked up with nervous eyes, then went back to his task. "Um, I wanted to apologize for my attitude toward you. You didn't deserve it but you were in the line of fire when Dean and I argue. Just know that if it happens again, we're sorry and it's not your fault. You shouldn't be upset about it either."
"It's fine, I know you didn't," Carlos sighed, and stood up when he finished. "I just have to stop acting like a baby."
"... I apologize on Dean's behalf too. He's not the type of person to apologize, especially when he knows he's in the wrong," Sam awkwardly added. Carlos sighed again but didn't comment. Kendall, James, and Logan had returned with the bed necessities, to which the men were thankful for.
"Wait, so that means that you're human again?" Dean questioned, clearly not understanding what the angel explained to him.
"Yes, but only until we get back to our world," Castiel nodded.
"Your cover names, for now, are the actors that play the characters in your show," Logan spoke up. "Sam, you're-"
"Jared Padalecki. Dean's Jensen Ackles, and Cas is Misha Collins," Sam filled in. "We went through this before."
"Oh yeah, I remember that episode," James nodded with a smile. After saying goodnight, the group split up and went to bed.
An hour into their sleep, two figures suddenly snapped their eyes open after having a terrifying dream. They tried to move around but they were stuck in that position. Then, heavy amounts of weight pressed down on their chest, making it hard to breathe, as if they were running a marathon.
They were pretty scared. If that wasn't enough, the familiar goblin demon appeared on their chests and used its large claws to scratch their chests, ripping their shirts to shreds. If they could have screamed, they would have. It was so painful, but they couldn't do anything to stop it, just watch their blood sputter out of their bodies.
"Enough… for today… go back… to your… night terror… as more will come," the Cauchemar's raspy voice spoke, then with a snap of his fingers, caused the two victims to fall back asleep. Unfortunately, it was only a nightmare they had to go through until morning.
