The guys came home with a massive fish for dinner. "Go figure that the gay guy gets the fish right" said Jeremy, he couldn't resist mocking Alex and Ted at every opportunity he got. "Sara and Kate not back yet?" asked Alex trying to change the subject. "No... Kate's probably got to carry Sara for half of the way" laughed Tegan. "She's not at her... fittest right now" she grinned. Tegan walked to the window. Dark storm clouds were gathering in the distance. "I'm sure they'll be here soon" she said sounding a bit worried. "Heaven knows Kate won't let me miss one damn IV session" she said.
Sara and Kate made their way down the footpath back to the house. They were talking constantly. Kate suddenly stopped in her tracks. "I don't think we're on the trail anymore?" she said with a frown. "The GPS should still work?" said Kate and took the phone. "Ah... there we go... mmmm... yeah we're pretty much on track. There we are... and that's home" she said showing Sara the screen. The phone made a quick three beeps and went dead. "Noooo no no... the battery just died" said Sara. "Don't worry, we know where we are now" said Kate. "Well I still don't" said Sara pulling up her shoulders. "I have a photographic memory... I've got the map right here" smiled Kate reassuringly and pointed at her head. "Well I hope for both our sakes you do" said Sara. Large drops started slowly falling. "Let's get going" said Kate. "This way". The girls kept walking through the forest. The rain wasn't too hard and they were a little bit sheltered by the trees. Sara suddenly screamed and fell to the ground in agony. "Sara! What's wrong" yelled Kate. "I saw a rocky overhang just back there, we'll be out of the rain there...come on... I'm going to help you up. Just lean on me... I'll get you there" smiled Kate. Sara got up in pain and hobbled next to Kate. "Ouch... it hurts" she whined. "Kate stopped and put the back pack over both her shoulders. She put her arm under Sara's knees and picked her up in one swift motion. "You don't have to do that" said Sara but she was secretly so grateful she wanted to kiss Kate. "All that swimming paying off" smiled Kate. The rain started falling more forcefully and they were drenched by the time they reached the rocky overhang. She knows what she's doing. They'll be here soon" said Lindsey rubbing Tegan's back. "Hmmm, she better take care of Sara" mumbled Tegan. "I'll give them one more hour and then I'm calling 911" she said.
Kate's face mirrored Sara's movements and moved closer. Sara grabbed Kate's head and pulled her face towards her own. Their lips met and Sara felt her body shudder.
