Link panted heavily as he stabbed the master sword into the ground, his legs shaking and his breathing ragged as he looked up at the beast before him. Ganon had won, the massive beast letting out a roar that shook the very ground as it stomped toward link with malice in its eyes as he licked his lips with a long and crooked tongue.
Link had fought hard to make up for his 5 year absence, he had seen his friends pass on, his dearest companion Volvagia die at his own hands. All these thoughts ran across his mind, and yet his only thought was of zelda. Zelda, the princess of hyrule who had been there when he was but a boy, the princess who entrusted the small kokri child with a task of saving the world from the King of evil.
Fortunately, his last sight would be her, in this one brief moment, he was at peace. Links grip on the master sword loosened as he let go and dropped the legendary weapon, his eyes closing as a faint smile crossed his lips as ganon raised his sword
"Zelda... I'm sorry.." he said softly as ganon swung down, zelda letting out a shriek of anguish as the hero was struck down in one sickening slice.
Link awoke in fright, panting as he gripped his chest to ease his racing heart, it was another night with that same dream... he then jumped as he heard the sound of roaring thunder and cracking lightning as the rain poured on his roof. He then turned his head to the now open door, his uncle standing in the doorway wearing a raincloak "Link... I'm going out for awhile.. this is no ordinary storm.." he said somberly as he turned away "Don't leave the house.." he said before leaving and closing the door behind him.
