Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story. This one about Warhammer. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Warhammer; Games Worship and a few others do.

When it came down to it? There was almost no equal to the Black Legion. There was no group of warriors within the forces of Chaos more elite.

"Damned mission." One marine stated which another marine rolled his eyes at. "Being sent to a frozen hellhole…" The marine stated.

"This is just another one of the Warmaster's pathetic attempts to test us…" Another of the Marines stated.

The Battle Barge Contest of Subjugation was dispatched from the Black Legion to secure a relic… What none of the crew knew was that there weren't expected to survive.

This was what their Chaos Lord 'Raines' wanted to avert. Still? He knew that Abaddon was not going to make this easy on them.

But he had the Warband: Followers of Domination and the resources of the Black Legion.

Raines found it somewhat amusing that he was sent out to do the work of the Daemon Prince. Since he had become ascended? The War Master did not do much war outside of his 'Black Crusades.'

"When Horus was in charge, this didn't happen." Raines muttered to himself while going to prepare his men.

If they were going to secure the relic? He would lead his men personally. His brothers might not be united by much… But he was.

Raines hummed and cracked his armored hands. His armor had been worn so much it was warped to his very body.

The warp fascinated him. Khorne controlled their region of the warp, however… The god of war was still very active.

"Are we even close to the location of the relic?" Raine questioned with a raised eyebrow.

Raine was well aware his brothers grew restless with every hour they were denied this mission. Several of them wanted combat enough to please the blood god.

"Not yet." Raine heard from one of his men. "But we have an issue." The soldier put in which made Raine sigh.

He looked at the screen. Raine wanted this assignment done as soon as possible. The sooner they were back to the warp? The sooner his men could rest.

Part of him laughed at this. Raine was a warrior first and a leader second. The only reason he was leader over this batch of marines? He battled several until he had become the strongest.

Raine still enjoyed tactics over pointless bloodshed. That amused him further.

"Which is?" Raine put in and turned the side with crossed arms. "We have a mission to accomplish. The longer we are preoccupied with this? The longer Abaddon mocks us with this defiance." Raine said and rolled his eyes.

There was far more at stake, however. His brothers might be of a disorganized bunch, but he did care about them. he wasn't going to let them get executed by Abaddon.

"There is resistance where the relic is… It seems that the forces of the false emperor…" The soldier put in which made Raine grind a fist into his hand.

He relished the chance to fight the Imperium once more. Raine wasn't part of the various armies the Black Legion had within it… But he had fought on Terra when Horus tried to destroy the Imperium for good.

Many of his brothers had forsaken Horus. He hadn't, and Abaddon knew this. He would carve up a legacy for the former war master.

"When this is over?" Raines stated to himself more then the soldier. "Then we will have the servants of the false emperor dead…. Prepare for deployment. I will lead the invasion myself." Raines put in and chuckled darkly.

The chance to acquaint himself against his former brothers called to the warrior. He wanted nothing more then to greet them in battle.

He walked to get his weapon and brief his brothers on their assignment. Abaddon didn't care much for his brothers… Raines did, and he planed on showing them what a true Lord of Chaos was capable of.

"They will be ready when we arrive." Raines heard from the soldier. He sighed and nodded before cracking his neck.

"Then tell me when they are prepared for it." Raines stated to the soldier in question.

The Black Legion would rise to glory once more… But it would be under a banner of death and destruction.

Author Notes

Phew. First chapter done! I want to point out that I like the Black Legion and want to create a story about them. This story is taking Grissom's place. Next chapter will be 900 words or so. It will also show the invasion of Raine's and his brothers. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: Next chapter will hopefully be 1200 words or so soon.
