"Good morning beautiful" said Tegan and kissed Lindsey softly. "Big day ahead of us" said Tegan and smiled. "Yeah... I'm so excited! What time are your parents arriving?" asked Lindsey. "Around 2" said Tegan. "Baby... have you thought about how you want to do things tomorrow? Are we both walking in at the same time? Who do you want to give you away? Our opening dance song?" said Tegan lying on her stomach propped up on her elbows. "I don't know... I guess we could walk in together? Maybe I'll just walk alone" said Lindsey. "I've got two dads... I want you to have one" said Tegan sweetly. "You are so generous and adorable... but really baby... I'm fine with going it alone" said Lindsey. "I'm not going to pressure you into something you don't want to do... think about it though. Want to go for a walk on the beach before Kate gets hold of me and sticks things into me? I know she's going to be all over me fueling me up for tomorrow" said Tegan getting out of bed. "I would love to" smiled Lindsey. "How are you feeling boo?" asked Tegan. "I'm feeling remarkably good actually" smiled Lindsey. "You're glowing... you've never been more beautiful. You'll make me want to have you pregnant all the time" cooed Tegan as Lindsey threw her back on the bed. "Next time we wake up together we'll be married" said Lindsey. "What do you mean?" frowned Tegan. "The night before you get married a couple should sleep in different rooms" laughed Lindsey. "Fuck that!" said Tegan fast. "I'm not leaving you for a second" she said and started kissing Lindsey's neck. "Naughty girl... all this pre-marital sex..." joked Lindsey. "Oh but you like it naughty" smiled Tegan biting Lindsey's lip playfully.

"My baby girl is getting married" exclaimed Stephen as he pulled Tegan into a huge hug. "I'm so proud of you" he said. "Thanks dad..." smiled Tegan. "How are you feeling munchkin?" he said seriously while eyeing the IV in Tegan's arm. "I'm great dad... don't mind this, it's just some immune boosters. Getting into tip-top shape for tomorrow" said Tegan. "Oh okay good. How's my new daughter in law and how are my grandkids" he said as he greeted Lindsey. "We're great thanks grandpa!" said Lindsey. "Grandpa... still getting used to that one" said Stephen. "You're going to be the coolest grandpa ever" said Sara and hugged him from behind. "Hi dad... I've missed you" she smiled. "Hey Bruce... we're going to be grandads... can you handle it" said Stephen as Bruce came into the room. "Hope you're on the waiting list for that old age home Steve" mocked Bruce before greeting the girls. "Yeah but you're ahead of me on the list" said Stephen jokingly. "Cool we can play bowls together... but I'm not letting you win just because you're old and weak" said Bruce. Tegan and Sara always admired how well Stephen and Bruce got along. "Where's mom?" asked Tegan. "She's... oh she's probably helping the driver get all those bags of baby clothes out of the car" said Bruce as Sonia entered holding bags full of gifts. "Sorry Sonia... we were a bit eager to see the girls" said Stephen. Sonia dropped the bags and opened her arms. Tegan and Sara both went in for a hug. "My babies are all grown up. Gosh it's all too much for me" said Sonia with tears in her eyes. "We've been grown up for a while now mom" said Sara laughing. "Yeah but it all feels real now... let me look at you two" said Sonia and stepped back to look at her girls. "You both look amazing. Are you okay Tegan? What's with the IVs?" asked Sonia. "It's nothing mom... just immune boosters. I feel great" said Tegan. "You look so much better Tegan. The old Tee's back. And Sara... my gosh you're looking... Um... relaxed... happy... in love" said Sonia. "I am mom... Kate makes me so happy. I'm head over heals for her" blushed Sara. "I'm happy for you Sara... I've been so worried about you" said Sonia. "You know Sara mom, she always comes out smiling on the other side. No matter how bad the roller coaster ride was" said Tegan mock punching Sara's arm.

The group was having dinner in a private room in the most amazing restaurant overlooking the ocean. Champagne was flowing and Tegan looked around the table wordlessly. She felt her throat go thick and her eyes fill with tears as her emotions started overflowing. She hastily wiped them with the back of her hand and squeezed Lindsey's with the other. Lindsey looked at her and smiled. "Everything alright boo?" she whispered. "Everything is awesome" smiled Tegan and kissed Lindsey's hand. Tegan took a minute to compose herself. "Guys... everyone, lend me your ears" she said. The group quieted down. "Tonight is not a night for speeches. I'm sure we'll have more than enough of those tomorrow. But I just want to say... Um..." said Tegan choking up. "Jeez I can't believe I'm getting emotional and it's not even the big day yet... Kate I hope you have some drugs to calm me down tomorrow or I'll be a blabbering mess" joked Tegan. She took a deep breath and swallowed hard. "When I look around this table, I see the people we love most in this world. Thank you... for being here... thank you for always being there for us... always... through anything life can throw at us. Good and bad. This love..." she said looking at Lindsey, "is rooted in every single one of you. You keep us grounded... you inspire us... you help us grow... you make us safe. Your example of how to live and love touches my heart every day. You made me who I am today... you made me the person that Lindsey could love. You also saved my life... every one of you... and I can never thank you enough. We're so blessed to have you here tonight. Tonight isn't about us. Tonight we celebrate YOU. The most amazing group of people... We have nothing but mad love for every single one of you... you are all the loves of our lives. So... cheers, to you guys" smiled Tegan and lifted her glass. "Cheers" said Sara. "Well done Tee... not a dry eye in the house" she said smiling through her tears.
