The next chapter is posted! Enjoy :)
If Angel thought Lord Beerus's bed chambers were weird on the show. Then nothing could compare to the real thing.
"Well Whis, the hour glasses are definitely a nice touch. You really need so many though? I'm sure one will do the trick just fine." She said.
He smirks. "Because getting him up is like trying to get an irate toddler out of bed in the morning. So, the more the merrier. And if these don't work, I just go to plan B. Which sadly, I hardly get to do. Since my Lord already expressed how terrible I am at singing."
Angel tries to stifle her laughter at the image. "Surely it can't be that bad."
"No, I'm sure he's just being overdramatic, like always." He replies.
Whis levitated up to one of the hours glasses and gave it a firm push. Sending it crashing into the wall and creating a loud explosion.
"Wakey, wakey, My Lord. I'm sorry to disturb your sleep. But I have important manners to discuss with you." He stated.
His answer was a few angry grumbles from the bed above. Whis huffs in annoyance.
"Shall I ask our new friend here to break out my karaoke machine. Maybe, I'll even talk her into doing a duet with me." Whis joked.
There was the sound of rustling sheets and a purple head with big ears shot up and looked over to his assistant.
"Who did you bring back with you now, Whis? This better be important like you say it is or there will be hell to pay." Said the cranky destroyer god.
"It is, I have a mortal who was transported here; via Daigon Sphere. A human from an entirely different universe." Whis informed him.
The destroyer god perked up and dropped down to the floor below. Landing right in front of Angel, making her jump. He narrowed his yellow eyes, as he studied the young woman in front of him. Unlike Whis's curious analysis of her. Lord Beerus made her feel like he was sizing her up.
"Uh, What's Up?" Was her oh so brilliant remark.
"Hmph" Was his reply.
Then he really did something that made her a bit uncomfortable. Lord Beerus leaned in and sniffed her. His yellow eyes suddenly widened. But only for a split second. Then he met her gaze before slowly turning to Whis.
"Hey Whis, I think your losing your touch. She is human, but not your run of the mill earth human that we're use to seeing. Don't tell me you didn't pick up on it." The destroyer stated as a matter of fact.
Whis just shrugs. "I had an idea, My Lord. but I wanted your second opinion in case I was wrong."
Angel was now thoroughly confused. Just what in the hell were they going on about?
"Well, yeah. You said it yourself. I have a strange energy signature for a human. But I figured it's because I'm a human from a completely different dimension." She says.
"Oh no, that has nothing to do with it. Your human, just not the kind of human you think you are." Whis stated.
Of course this only confused her even more.
"Uh Whis, I'm pretty certain there is only one kind of human." She told him.
That's when Lord Beerus finally spoke up.
"There is only one race of humans, as of now. There was once another. But most of them were wiped out a few thousand years ago. A race of super humans. They were called the Kandusai. They were almost as powerful as the Saiyans and Arcosians. Unfortunately, they were wiped out by an Arcosian who feared their growing power." He informed her.
Whis rubbed his chin in thought. "If I remember correctly. It was one of Frieza's ancestors who destroyed their home world. Which comes to no surprise really. His line was always intimidated by other powerful warriors that could one day possibly overcome them in battle. It's part of why, Frieza wiped out the Saiyans."
Angel shook her head in disbelief.
"Guys, I have no idea what the hell your talking about. But I'm just an ordinary human woman from Camden, Maine. I'm not part of this candoo whatsu race. No offense, I know you two are deities. But this is one time I think you clearly made a mistake. I don't have any super human strength or speed. I'm as ordinary as they come." She said, trying to convince them.
But the two deities were anything but convinced.
"Hate to break it to you, kid. But it's the truth. You see, rumor has it they didn't all parish in that explosion. They said some survivors made it off world, before it's untimely demise. They went and hid on other worlds, trying to stay off the Arcosian's radar. Though we never thought at least one of them would transport themselves to another dimension. Even though they are the original creators of the Daigon Spheres. I never would've thought they'd use their power to send them across time and space." Lord Beerus said, clearly astonished by the feat.
Her eyes widened. "Wait, did you say they created those spheres? I thought since the orb looked very similar to the one on top of Whis's staff, that divine beings created them."
Whis smirked. "Indeed, we did give them the idea for a basic design. The orbs us Angels carry inspired their creation. Besides being of a warrior race, the Kandusai also had their fair share of powerful sorcerers and mystics. They're the ones that created the Daigon Spheres. Mainly for defense purposes. But they quickly found out that the spheres were more powerful than they initially thought and eventually deemed them too difficult to wield or control. So their strongest sorcerers had them hidden away. Only to be used during a highly critical time."
"I still find this whole thing rather crazy. I get someone used it to run and hide in a safe place from their enemies. It's just weird that I'm the one that stumbled upon it. Hundreds of people have gone down that trail. Yet, no one else spotted it on the ground that close to the trail. it's certainly mind boggling to say the least." Angel said.
Lord Beerus folded his hands behind his back.
"It's no coincidence that you happened upon it. The fact it was able to transport you here already proves who you really are. The Daigon Spheres can only be activated by someone of the race of it's creators." He stated.
"Or a deity such as ourselves." Whis said, cutting in.
Being the stubborn one as she was. Angel tried to throw out logical solutions.
"You say they died out thousands of years ago. If I am of their race, then how could I possibly be alive today? You claimed they were mortals. So their lifespans are just that." She argued.
Lord Beerus sighs. "Did you not hear what we just said earlier? Those spheres are powerful enough to send one across time and space. Meaning it could've taken the user to the future and into your universe."
She balled her fists at her sides. "No, I know who I am and where I'm from. My name is Angel Desiree Mancini. I was born in Pen Bay Medical Center on January 18, 1990. I am thirty years old. My parents are retired biologists and I have a twin brother, Jack."
"We're not saying you aren't, Angel. You could possibly be a descendant of this survivor. Like Saiyans, Kandusai look just like earthlings. It would've been very easy for them to blend into your society." Whis explained.
"Then why don't I have this incredible power you say they possessed?" She asked.
Instead of an answer. Whis sent a fist sailing towards her face. It was incredibly fast, but somehow Angel was able to deflect it. She gasped in alarm and took a step back. Of course, they were not all that surprised by that outcome.
Whis smiled. "It would've been impossible for an ordinary earthling to deflect that. Shall I test you more until you start to realize the truth?"
Angel just stood there and slowly shook her head. This whole ordeal was getting crazier by the minute She almost didn't know what to believe anymore. She went from going on a casual jog in the woods, to mysteriously getting transported to a dimension where the world of Dragon Ball Z exists, and now finds out she is supposedly a descendant of someone from some superhuman race.
"I know it's a lot to take in. If you'd like, we can take you to earth so feel more comfortable around other humans. I'm sure Goku and Vegeta won't mind your company. They could even perhaps help you unlock more of your power while your in this universe. It's obvious that it has been lying dormant while you were in your own universe. But the sphere sending you here may have activated it." Whis told her.
Before she could open her mouth to say something. Lord Beerus cut her off.
"Hold on Whis? You certain that is wise? If Frieza learns of her existence he may seek her out. It was after all, his ancestor that destroyed her race. No doubt Frieza has inside knowledge about the Kandusai." He said.
"I understand your concern, My Lord. But we can't keep her here like a caged up bird. If we explain her situation to the saiyans, they will keep a close eye on her. Plus, I don't think Frieza will risk another trip to earth so soon. Not after his last fiasco there with that berserker saiyan he brought with him. She'll be fine with them." Whis informed his master.
"You two forgetting something. How am I suppose to get back home?" Angel asked, slowly losing patience with their bickering.
"The only known way we can think of for you to get back home, is with one of the two remaining Daigon Spheres. Only problem is, we don't know where they were hidden. It's a vast universe with tons of planets. So it would take a long while to locate one of the spheres.
And unfortunately, the Kandusai sorcerers weren't able to inform us of their whereabouts before their home world was destroyed. Plus, if we were to find one. We wouldn't know how to activate it the right way to get you back. In other words, it could end up sending you somewhere else. Instead of sending you back home. So I'm sorry to say, you maybe here for quite sometime." Lord Beerus told her.
Angel had a look of defeat and despair on her face at this news.
"So even if we gathered the super dragon balls and asked to bring one of the spheres before us. Your saying we still wouldn't be able to activate it properly?" She said, not realizing she said the thought out loud.
She soon regretted it, when she saw the suspicious glances they were sending her way.
"What do you know of the super dragon balls? Or better yet, how do you know about them? Surely there aren't any in your known universe are there?" The destroyer asked, never taking his eyes off her.
"Shit," she mumbled.
"Explain, mortal." Lord Beerus said.
Cat's out of the proverbial bag now. Angel will have to most likely tell them how she knows of the whole DBZ Verse and Franchise. Less the destroyer god kicks her ass all up and down this galaxy until he gets answers. Thankfully, Whis was there to curb the tension.
"How about I make us all something to eat first, My Lord. I'm sure the girl's famished from her travels. She can explain everything over dinner." He suggested.
The destroyer grumbles but agrees to his attendant's request.
"Fine, just don't leave anything out. I want to know everything you know, mortal." He said while eyeing her.
Angel sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose, regretting she opened her big fat fucking mouth.
"Alright, though I'm not sure if you will believe what I have to say." She admits.
Lord Beerus takes another step closer to her, invading her personal space She can practically feel the heat of his breath on top of her head as he towered over the smaller woman.
"Doubtful." Was all he said.
Before he swiftly side stepped around her and started for the dining room.
Whis walked by and stopped beside her.
"So, you like shrimp yakisoba? Kind of in the mood for some seafood." He asked.
Angel couldn't keep a straight face around Whis. The angel was just so bubbly and positive, it made her feel more at ease. Especially while around his broody master.
"Sure, it's actually one of my favorite dishes. And you were right before when you stated I was famished from being transported. So lead the way, Chef Whis." She said with a smile.
He smiled back and gestured for her to follow him. On the way down there. Angel was trying to think of the best way she can explain to Lord Beerus and Whis. Mainly, how she knows about the super dragon balls and incidentally about nearly everything else that goes on in their universe. Hopefully, they will believe her and not write her off as crazy.
Just when Angel thought things couldn't get any worse. She feels after their conversation she is left with more questions rather than answers. But now she also knows she will be the one giving answers to Lord Beerus and Whis about her knowledge of them, along with the rest of the Z-Fighters. Can only imagine how they will take to the info she provides them with. Until Next Time ;)
