A/N:

Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed the last chapter, as it was a great little thing to begin writing. But I love this story, and want to continue it. So, here is chapter two. Now, I am planning on creating my own little storyline for this fanfiction. Hilda doesn't turn into a bug faced monster, and I am going to try and relieve the Pagan ritual issue early on in the story. I really want to focus on Caliban and Sabrina's relationship, as well as Sabrina's relationships with her friends and family, and the progression of them all. I hope you can understand what I mean. Anyways, here is chapter two. Enjoy!

Chapter 2

"You agreed to what?!" An exclamation came from Auntie Zee, Auntie Hilda, and Ambrose as they sat around the kitchen table. This was not going well.

"I've decided to make an alignment with Caliban. For the sake of not only Hell, but Earth as well. If I can stop the monstrous plans that Caliban and his gang of Plague Kings have in store for Earth, I will do whatever it takes...and if that means marriage, then so be it." I tried to defend my choices by making my family see the bigger picture, though I don't think I was being quite successful.

After the whole Roz situation had been handled, I had gathered my family in the familial home to discuss my plans for the future. Roz and the boys from the football team had been restored to their normal selves. Caliban had departed back to Hell, and had given me an ultimatum. I had to decide my terms of our marriage by tomorrow, when Caliban, I, Lilith, and the Plague Kings would discuss our alignment. And so far, I hadn't even gotten past the part of telling my aunts and cousin of my impending nuptials.

"First, you take the throne of Hell, and become queen. And now you decide that 'Oh! I'm going to get married to the Prince of Hell, and not give any thought to the desecration it will do to my future!'. You are sixteen, Sabrina. Sixteen!" Aunt Zelda shoved her half smoked cigarette into the crystal ashtray on the table, making the piece of furniture jolt in the process. I watched Aunt Hilda jump at the action.

"It's not like I didn't think this through, Auntie Zee! I have a responsibility as Queen of Hell, but also as a member of the Spellman family and our coven. I have to protect Greendale, and marrying Caliban may be the only way to do that." I was giving my all for my aunties to see where I was coming from with the whole alignment idea, but it was getting gnarlier but the minute.

"What about this Unholy Regalia that you've been chittering on about? Can't you avoid this whole marriage fiasco if you find the third artifact?" Auntie Zee questioned me.

"I've retrieved one item, and Caliban retrieved the other. There is no guarantee that I could win the Regalia. That's part of Caliban and I's alignment. We find the last artifact together, and we rule on the throne as King and Queen. That way, there are no more power struggles, and we both get what we want."

"Oh of course! And now we hear the truth of it, don't we Sabrina. It's all about the power. I know that your Aunt Hilda and I never raised you to be this power hungry of a witch. You must have received that trait from your father!" Aunt Zelda shot up from her chair, and began pacing the room. The heels of her t-strap shoes clicked against the hardwood in a flurry of frustration.

"Now, Zelda. Maybe we're being a bit hard on the girl, yeah?" Auntie Hilda approached her sister, trying to diffuse the turmoil in the room. Aunt Hilda had always been the peacemaker, and now she was trying to use that power to calm down Aunt Zelda.

"Our sixteen year old niece has just told us that she had agreed to enter into an unholy matrimony with the Prince of Hell, and you think we're being too hard on her? Really, Hilda?" Aunt Z snipped at her sister, we gently cowered away from the harsh remark. I tried to ease her fury, hoping to calm her enough to see the reasoning behind my decisions.

"I know that you didn't raise me to be power hungry, and I can promise you that I'm not." I paused when Aunt Zelda rolled her green eyes, but continued speaking for the sake of it. "But you did raise me to help people. And even though it may sound completely insane to you, this is how I can make the people who matter most to me safe."

"She has a point, Zelda." Aunt Hilda quietly spoke, and all of us looked at her in surprise. It was known by the entire Spellman family that Aunt Hilda rarely ever expressed her own opinions, and I tried to keep the shock off my face that she was agreeing with me.

"Why don't we discuss this as a family? Maybe relieve the, uh, tension." Ambrose finally piped up from the dinner table. Aunt Hilda nodded, and Aunt Zelda let out an exasperated sigh.

"Alright." She agreed, and headed back to her spot at the table. Aunt Hilda followed her, once again seating herself in the chair that she had previously occupied. I continued to stand, since I was the center of this discussion, and the drama it contained.

"Well, if we're going to discuss this, someone better start talking." Auntie Zee quipped, and I took that as my cue to continue my explanation of my plan.

"I know that you all believe that I'm crazy for wanting to do this, but I feel as though I have no other choice. The entire world around us is falling down, and I need to find a way to stop the destruction."

"Yes, my dear Sabrina, I am quite aware of how our world is falling down. I've been dealing with the Pagan nonsense ever since they arrived. Not to mention the constantly recurring that is Faustus Blackwood." Aunt Zelda sighed, and I watched as Ambrose tried not to roll his eyes. Auntie Zee had always held a special flare for the dramatic, and she was really putting it to use tonight.

"Maybe I can get help from Caliban on the whole Pagan issue. He said that as part of our agreement, I could lay out any terms that I deem fit. I'm sure that I can request help from the citizens of Hell to help rid Greendale of the Pagans." I attempted to include Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda's issues into my decision, that way they at least could feel like they benefited from the arrangement, at least in some way.

"Sabrina, sweetie. Marriage shouldn't be a brokerage deal. It should be between two people who love one another. Like your parents. They wouldn't want you to do this to yourself." Now Auntie Hilda was getting into the action. I knew that she would be the one to try and appeal to my emotional side, but I hadn't expected her to bring up my parents. That was a low ball, especially for Aunt Hilda.

"I know my parents loved one another. But my father is also the King of Hell, and I have to pick what is right for everyone. Even if it means sacrificing my happiness. Responsibility comes before love." I concluded, and I looked at everyone directly so that they could see how determined I was to go through with this. But of course, Auntie Zee had a few comments of her own.

"You're willing to give up your friends? Your home? Your entire life? Hear me now, Sabrina. Once you marry the Prince of Hell, you will never be able to leave. Your duty as a monarch will fall before anything else. No more being the carefree teenager you once were. Your life will belong to them." Aunt Zelda heeded her warning. Ambrose and Aunt Hilda looked at me, expecting a response.

"I doubt that I'll never be able to leave...I'll just have to spend more time in Hell. I'm sure that I'll find a way to see everyone." I knew that I was speaking of uncertain possibilities, but I had to make sure that Aunt Zelda didn't win.

"I wonder what Mr. Nicholas Scratch would think of you. You know, marrying the tall, dark and handsome Prince of Hell. I will say, cousin, that Caliban is quite the striking specimen." Ambrose tried to lighten the mood with some of his famous humor, but all he received was whack on the back of his head from Aunt Hilda and a dirty look from me.

"Nick lost any vote in my life when I caught him cavorting with sex demons. There's no trust between us. He ruined it." I was clipped as I spoke. The whole cheating/trust issues situation between Nick and I was still somewhat of a fresh wound.

"I wonder what your friends would say if they knew what you were planning to do...I'm sure that Harvey, Rosalind, and Theo would be as upset as I am about the entire thing." Auntie Zee once again turned the attention back to the distaste she had for my impending nuptials.

"I'm sure that they will be understanding. Because I know that they will love and support me no matter what I decide to do. They've been there for me before. They'll be there for me again." I countered, and Aunt Zelda upturned her nose. She knew that I had beaten her at her own game.

For the first time since we had begun this riveting conversation began, a bout of silence filled the room. It passed slowly, the sound of the cuckoo clock on the kitchen wall being the only constant chime. It was after almost two minutes of dead quietude that I finally broke the lag.

"If that's all that we have to say on the matter, I am going to head up to my room to work on my list of agreement terms. Caliban and I have agreed to have a meeting tomorrow to make the finalization of the alignment." I spoke, my hand absentmindedly twisting together as I spoke.

Neither Auntie Zee or Aunt Hilda looked directly at me, and Ambrose was staring directly down at the shiny, wood stained top of the kitchen table. I waited a few beats before I said my farewells for the night.

"Good night, then." I went to turn to head upstairs when I heard Aunt Zelda speak from behind me. I turned my head to face her, and made eye contact with her slitted emerald irises.

"Just know this, Sabrina. You may think you know Caliban, but every snake has their own venom. And they will always strike when you're at your most vulnerable. Be careful what you enter into. It may come back to bite you."
