Chapter 102
Tegan and Lindsey had great time on the dance floor but a few songs later Tegan was looking absolutely exhausted. "Let's take a break baby" said Lindsey kissing Tegan. She noticed Tegan was taking strain and she was feeling tired herself, being pregnant with twins on her wedding day wasn't easy. "Okay. Who can keep up with Alecia and Ellen on a dance floor anyway" said Tegan sounding winded. The party was in full swing and Tegan hated leaving the dance floor. Tegan and Lindsey didn't have much time to rest though because they were hijacked by guests congratulating them and just catching up. Tegan looked at Lindsey and blinked her eyes hard a couple of times "I... I think I need to sit down... I just... need a minute" she said holding onto Lindsey's arm looking pale. Lindsey looked alarmed and led Tegan to an informal area to the side with some couches. "There we go baby... just take it easy" cooed Lindsey. "Tegan... are you okay?" she said stroking her bride's hair. "Yeah... I just needed to catch my breath" said Tegan. "Just sit back and relax... should I go get Kate" asked Lindsey. "Mmm.. no I don't think it's necessary... I just need a moment" said Tegan trying to normalise her breathing. "Okay... just breathe... just breathe" said Lindsey. Tegan took another puff of her inhaler and coughed. "My heart is beating so fast from all this excitement" smiled Tegan.
Sara and Kate were making out on the beach. Kate hovered over Sara and breathed into her ear "you look amazing tonight... I wish I could ravish you right here and now" she said and continued kissing Sara's neck. "You just made my day! I love it when you talk dirty to me. You're so hot" giggled Sara running her hands up and down Kate's stomach under her shirt. "Sara! Kate!" they heard Sonia call out. "Damnit... can they give a girl some sexy time" sighed Sara and resumed kissing Kate. Sonia kept calling out sounding a bit desperate. "Sar... hang on something might be wrong" said Kate and got up. "Over here Sonia" she called out. "Kate, can you come have a look at Tegan please... she's out of breath and pale and... please just go make sure she's okay" said Sonia. Kate immediately started jogging towards the party.
"Tegan! Hey what's up... you okay?" said Kate sitting down next to Tegan. "I'm okay... just catching my breath... Too much dancing" smiled Tegan. Kate took Tegan's wrist in her hand and felt for a pulse. "How long have you been sitting here Tee?" asked Kate. "I don't know... five minutes" shrugged Tegan. "Your pulse is very fast and your breathing a bit ragged. I'm sure it's nothing but I'm going to get you inside the venue and just check your pulse ox okay?" said Kate calmly. "No I'm fine... I just need to take a break" said Tegan. Kate looked at her wordlessly but her face spoke a thousand words. "Baby you don't want her to do it right here" said Lindsey. "Okay then" said Tegan out of breath. "Lindsey, are you feeling okay?" asked Kate. "Yeah, just a bit tired but I'm fine" said Lindsey. Kate and Lindsey led Tegan into the boutique hotel building and into one of the rooms where Kate left her bag. "Tee just lie down on the bed for me" said Kate. "Guys come on! I don't want to miss my wedding" complained Tegan. "Calm down and give me a minute to check that you're okay please" said Kate. "Please baby, for me?" said Lindsey. Tegan smiled and relaxed. She lay down against the pillows and closed her eyes. Kate put the pulse ox meter on her finger as Tegan turned her head towards Lindsey lying next to her. "You... are so awesome" she said still out of breath. Kate took her BP and listened to her lungs with a concerned expression on her face. "Kate is she okay" said Sara sounding panicked. "She's fine Sara. Pulse ox and BP are both a bit low so I'm going to let you breath some oxygen for a few minutes okay" said Kate. "No... I'm missing the party" said Tegan. "Hey... five minutes Tee. Let's just get you breathing normally again. You're fine... but if we don't sort out your oxygen levels you're going to faint on the dance floor. Just take it easy. Relax with your bride for a few minutes. Just enjoy the break. The party will still be there ten minutes from now. I'm sure Lindsey could use a rest too" said Kate. Tegan smiled and pulled Lindsey closer. "Most brides slip away to the hotel room for some sex... we slip away to breathe oxygen and rest" she smiled. "She's right, I can kinda use the break baby" said Lindsey with her head on Tegan's chest. "Sara, please go check that everything is okay with the party" said Tegan. "It's fine Erin's there" said Sara quickly. "Sar... go! I'll phone you when we're done here. Meet me back at the spot" whispered Kate into Sara's ear. Sara grinned and left the room.
Kate put the oxygen mask on Tegan's face. "Just stay quiet and take deep breaths please" she instructed. "Your pulse is high because your heart is working harder than normal since your oxygen levels are low. You'll be fine after this" smiled Kate and took out a syringe and pulled some meds into it. "Hang on what's that" said Tegan pulling away the mask. "I said I'll get you back to the party soon and the only way I can do that is to give you something to help your BP up. Relax and breathe the O2... shhh now" said Kate and plunged the needle into Tegan's arm. "Is that going to make me drowsy?" asked Tegan. "No, hopefully the opposite. You'll feel much better after this" said Kate. "That hurt" said Tegan. Kate rolled her eyes. "You big baby! I thought you'd be used to it by now" she said. "Baby... shhhh now" said Lindsey rubbing Tegan's stomach. Kate put her stethoscope on Tegan's chest. "Ok let's give you a shot from your inhaler to open up those airways, they're not giving the oxygen much chance to work here" she said. Lindsey pulled the inhaler from Tegan's pants pocket and handed it to Kate who pulled away the mask and put the inhaler between Tegan's lips. "Here we go, deep breath" she said. Tegan felt dizzy and tired and appreciated the medicine opening her airways to allow the oxygen to work.
Sara was talking to her parents outside the hotel assuring them Tegan was fine. She felt her phone buzz and walked away. She answered without checking who was calling. "Done so quick Dr Lovegood... meet me at our spot and let's continue where we left off you hottie" she said playfully. "... Sara?" said a voice on the other side of the line. "O fuck..." said Sara looking at her phone screen. "Emy?" she said... "I'm sorry I... I didn't see who... I assumed... fuck I'm sorry" she rambled. Sara heard Emy laugh and looked perplexed. "Sara... don't worry about it... I take it you're having a great time at the wedding? Sounds like quite a party in the background" said Emy. "Um... yeah... It's been amazing. Isn't it the middle of the night over there?" asked Sara. "Yeah... couldn't sleep... Anyway, I just called to see if I could speak to Tegan and Lindsey... I really wanted to congratulate them but both their phones are off" said Emy. "Tegan and Lindsey... it was beautiful... the whole day has been so special. I'm sure they wish you were here Em" said Sara seriously. "I wish I could've been there... I miss you guys" said Emy. "They're kinda... well they're not available right now but I can ask them to ring your back in a few minutes" said Sara. "No... I don't want to take up their time. Please just tell them I called and that I send my love and best wishes" said Emy softly. "Hey I'll send you some photos" said Sara trying to cheer her up. "I saw the photos online, looks awesome" said Emy. "It's mayhem online by the way... mostly good. Very entertaining fans you have. I'm making some popcorn for the next round" she said. "Oh... that's good, I haven't checked" said Sara followed by an awkward silence. "So... you and Kate finally found each other... I had a feeling about this" said Emy. "Emy listen... I swear there was nothing between us when we..." she got cut of by Emy "I know... I know. I'm happy for you Sara. I really am. It still hurts... but I'm okay and it's easier knowing you are too" said Emy. "Thank you Em... I appreciate that" said Sara. Sara looked up and saw Kate walking up to her with a smile. "Listen I need to go... I'll send them your well wishes... thanks for the call Em" said Sara. "Take care Sara" said Emy. "You too, bye" said Sara as Kate took her hand. "Hey... who was that?" asked Kate. "Just an old friend" smiled Sara, her knees felt wobbly from the adrenaline rush of Emy's call. "Is Tee okay?" she said changing the subject. "Yeah... I've left her on some oxygen. Wanted to give them a few minutes alone" she said. "She's actually holding up remarkably well considering the excitement of the day and her antics on the dance floor" laughed Kate. "Good thing you brought your medical stuff" said Sara. "Always so prepared" she said seductively and kissed Kate. "Thanks for being my date tonight... you're the most beautiful girl here" smiled Kate. "No... you are" said Sara. Kate's love and affection made her feel giddy but at the back of her mind Emy was sitting alone in a cold New York apartment eating popcorn.
Lindsey could feel Tegan's breathing normalise under her cheek. "What a day huh" she said. "Best day ever" said Tegan softly under the mask. "You starting to feel better?" asked Lindsey sitting up and stroking Tegan's hair. "Yeah! Amazing what a bit of O2 and a shot can do" said Tegan. "You were amazing today baby" smiled Lindsey and kissed Tegan's forehead. "My bride... my wife" she said. "How awesome is that!" said Tegan. She pulled the mask away and kissed Lindsey. Kate walked back into the room "Ha! Caught in the act! I thought I told you to stay quiet" she said. "Kissing is a quiet thing" laughed Tegan. "I meant quiet and still Romeo" said Kate shaking her head smiling. Kate took Tegan's hand and looked at the pulse ox meter. "There we go... looking much better" she said and took Tegan's BP again. "You can go, but please take it easy... slow dance okay! And for God's sake take a break every now and then I don't want a repeat of this...You've actually done well today Tegan." said Kate. "Thanks Doc... you can go back to snogging my sister on the beach now" said Tegan. Kate blushed as she packed away her supplies. "It's time to cut the cake Mrs Tegan" said Tegan getting up. "Let's do it Mrs Lindsey" laughed Lindsey.
The guests were crowded around the happy couple as they cut the wedding cake. Tegan took a piece and gently put it into Lindsey's mouth. "Mmmm" purred Lindsey. Lindsey picked up a piece and slowly brought it towards Tegan's face looking into her eyes. She put it into her mouth and smeared cream all over Tegan's face. Tegan laughed and did the same to Lindsey. The messy, sexy, fun continued for a few minutes. "You're a mess... let me clean that off" smiled Lindsey. She put Tegan's fingers into her mouth one by one, gently sucking them clean. Tegan looked at her with a goofy, gummy smille. Lindsey moved on to lick cream off Tegan's face. Tegan turned her head and her lips met Lindsey's. She kissed her zealously as the guests applauded. "Well somebody's feeling better!" said Sara to Kate. "Yeah! How about a dance before we get back to business on the beach" said Kate seductively and pulled Sara to the dance floor as U2's "All I want is you" started playing. "Sara... I'm so in love with you" said Kate. "Ditto" said Sara kissing Kate softly. Tegan stood on the dance floor slowly rocking from side to side with Lindsey's head on her shoulder. "All I want is you" she whispered.
A/N: Hope you're enjoying the wedding. Review please!
