Next chapter is up! I would also like to add that the super human race I've written about is my own creation. Kandusai is pronounced (Can-doo-sigh) and their Home World was known as Kandu. Enjoy :)
Angel was in awe as they zipped through space and headed straight to earth. For the time being, everyone was quiet during the trip. Which is really no surprise. Both deities seemed pretty surprised at everything Angel told them earlier. She's still not sure what surprised them more. How she knew everything from when Goku was a young kid all the way up to current events. Or the fact she told them that in her universe they don't exist and are pure fiction.
Originally, Angel didn't want to share all this info with them. But she felt like she had to. For fear of the destroyer eradicating her if she were to leave a single detail out. At least by the end, they weren't upset, but rather part shocked and part intrigued. Afterwards, they told the young woman not to mention any of this to the others. Worried it could somehow change things for the fighters and their families.
"You sure you guys are ok? Been pretty quiet since we left." Angel asked over the destroyer's shoulder.
Both deities peered back at her briefly before looking straight ahead again.
"We're fine, we could only expect that your universe would be completely different from ours. Though we find it still rather odd that there are no gods or even supreme kais in your universe. Sounds like it's pretty dull there if you ask me." Lord Beerus replied.
Angel gives him a sideways smirk.
"In some ways, that maybe for the best. We don't have any super strong warriors that can protect us if any god wanted to come down and destroy our world. If it makes you feel any better though. A lot of people do believe aliens exist and many claim to have footage of strange ships in our skies that don't appear to be man-made." She told him.
"Fascinating, do you believe in these other worldly beings existence too, Angel?" Whis asked.
She shrugs. "I believe there maybe other intelligent life out there. There are millions if not billions of other galaxies out there besides our own. Only logical to believe they all have some form of intelligent life. As for them taking a trip to earth. Well, I'm a bit more skeptical when it comes to that. I like to believe there is a more logical explanation to these unknown crafts people have seen in the sky. Plus, why would aliens really be interested in us? Especially since many of them would probably think us rather primitive."
Whis smirks. "You'd be surprised. Just because one race doesn't match another's intellect, doesn't mean they are not the least bit curious. They may find something about earth and it's inhabitants fascinating."
"For instance, we rather like earth. Because it produced some good warriors and even better food." Lord Beerus said.
Angel shakes her head. Of course, she knows that's why they enjoy such a beautiful world. She remembers many of those episodes quite clearly. In truth, she found Lord Beerus and Whis very amusing. She's curious if the others are just like their cartoon counterparts as well.
"So, how much longer until we get there?" She asks.
"Not much longer now. I'd say another twelve minutes until landing." Whis replied.
"Just remember, don't tell them what you just told us earlier. Can only imagine how they would react to that kind of information. You are however, free to tell them that you are indeed from earth in another universe. We'll try to explain the rest." Lord Beerus added.
"Ummm, your not going to tell them that you two think I'm from some ancient race of super humans are you?" Angel asked, with hesitation in her voice.
"We don't think, Dear. We know. Plus, they will question your strange energy that's unlike other humans. Of course, most of them probably never even heard of your race. Except for possibly Vegeta. His family had vast knowledge of many races, including ancient warrior races like the Kandusai. The Saiyans of old even worked along side them, especially in battle." Whis informed her.
"So they were Allies, once upon a time." Angel said.
"Indeed, they even tried to help save them once they learned the Arcosian Leader at the time planned on exterminating them. Unfortunately, by the time the saiyans came with reinforcements it was already to late. The planet had been destroyed by Froze." Whis replied.
Angel arched a brow. "Froze is Frieza's ancestor then? I heard you mention earlier it was someone of his bloodline that destroyed them."
"Yes, and just like Frieza, Froze was an ornery bastard with a superiority complex." Lord Beerus stated.
"Sounds like you knew the guy personally." She said.
Lord Beerus grumbled. "Unfortunately, I did. Such a disrespectful little cockroach. The only reason I didn't end the fool's existence on the spot, is because he was one of the most powerful mortals I have come across. And if there is one thing I have respect for, it's strong fighters."
"He also took care of some problems for you on a couple troublesome worlds too, if I recall." Whis added.
Angel was tired of hearing about some ancient murderer. It doesn't matter if he was very powerful, still sounds like he was quite the monster. All the more easier to believe Frieza was related to him. For the galactic emperor seems just as savage and ruthless as his infamous ancestor. It also made her worry more about her safety. Surely Frieza knew of the Kandusai, especially if his family bloodline had a hand in their untimely demise.
"Does this mean, Frieza will know what I am if he saw me? And if so, are you sure the others can keep me safe? Because after hearing all this, I'm really starting to get scared." Angel told them.
"You will be fine. For Frieza to learn of your existence, he would have to come to earth. We doubt he will anytime soon. It was not that long ago, he had that fiasco with the saiyan known as Broly back on earth. Don't think he is looking for another rematch with Goku or Vegeta just yet." Whis assured her.
Those next few minutes flew by and before Angel knew it, they were landing. When the bright lights dissipated, they were on a very familiar balcony. She recognized it to be the large balcony at the Brief's Capsule Corps Home. Currently, the only one out here with them was Bulma. Whis informed her of their arrival a little while back.
"Greetings Bulma, sorry for the last minute notice. But this was an important matter." Whis paused and looked around. "I take it Goku and Vegeta are not back yet from training."
"Yeah sorry, they got a little held up. But they're on their way. Should be here any minute." The blue haired scientist said.
Bulma then noticed the petite young woman who stepped out from behind Lord Beerus. This surprised Bulma. Because Whis didn't mention anything about a human woman. She even dare say the young woman looked a little out of place and anxious. Not wanting her to feel anymore nervous, the older woman approached her.
"Hello, I'm Bulma Briefs and you are?" She asked, in a friendly manner.
"I'm Angel Mancini, nice to meet you." Angel said, while grabbing Bulma's hand in a handshake.
The Capsule Corps Heiress shook her hand back with a soft smile.
"Angel, that's a very pretty name." She said.
Then Bulma turned to the two deities with a questioning look. As if knowing what she was about to ask. Lord Beerus spoke up.
"We will explain everything once the saiyans arrive." He then looked up into the sky and to his left. "Which will be right about now."
A few moments later, earth's strongest defenders touched down only a few feet away from the group. Just like everyone else she's seen so far. Goku and Vegeta look every bit like they do in the anime cartoons. Of course, seeing them now in person intimidated Angel quite a bit. They were tall and ripped, easily towering over her 4ft. 11in. frame. 'Like everyone else here so far.' She thought. They didn't notice her at first. Because she was blocked by Whis's towering form.
"Yo Whis, Lord Beerus, what's up?" Asked a cheery Goku.
"I'd ask what is with the last minute call. But it wouldn't be a first...And where is that weird energy coming from?" Vegeta added.
Whis turned his gaze to his right and looked down at the antsy woman. He nodded his head at her as if to say, 'everything is fine.' Angel took a deep breath and stepped into view. The two saiyan warriors were baffled at first as to why Lord Beerus and Whis were totting around a young human woman. Their bafflement turned into curiosity and started to approach the group.
"That energy...it's coming from her?" Vegeta said, never taking his eyes off the mystery woman.
Goku leaned in and started looking her up and down. Like he was trying to figure her out. Then he looked her straight in the eye for a moment without saying a word. Then he rose back up and looked to the destroyer god and his attendant.
"Hey, is she another deity? And if so who is she? Is she like your girlfriend or something, Lord Beerus?" The orange clad saiyan asked.
Whis covered his mouth and started giggling. While a vein pulsed on the side of the destroyer god's temple.
"No, you fool. She's a human. Plus, I'd never let myself get tied down in any relationship. Having to live with Whis while he's in one of his whiny moods is bad enough as it is." The destroyer said.
The blue angel man rolled his eyes while mumbling, 'Honestly'. Then he began to address the saiyans of what's going on.
"This young woman here, is Angel. She's a very long way from home and we request you give her refuge while she's here. As you have noticed, even though she is human; she has a different energy signature than any other human here. And there is a reason for that. It's because she is from an ancient race."
Whis paused and turned his gaze to Vegeta.
"I believe you, Vegeta; are familiar with the race known as the Kandusai, correct?" The destroyer's attendant asked.
Vegeta crossed his arms. "I learned of them in my studies when I was a child. They were an ancient race of superhuman warriors and..." The saiyan prince paused and gasped once realization hit him. "Wait, no! Are you insinuating this woman is a Kandusai?! Because if you are, then that's impossible! They died out around three thousand years ago!"
Goku stood there, blinking in confusion.
"Uhhh sorry, but who exactly were these Kandusai people? And how come you never told us about them before?" The other saiyan asked.
Vegeta turned to Goku. "Because there's no point. As I said, they died out long ago."
"Ok, but how?" Goku asked.
"A leader of the Arcosian Race known as Froze, eradicated their entire home world. All died, except for a few who managed to get away before the world exploded. This young woman here, is a descendant from one of those survivors." Whis explained.
"Survivors? I never heard of any surviving their extermination." Vegeta said, still in disbelief.
"Take it from us, we were around then. And we can tell you for a fact, their were a few survivors. Four, to be exact." Lord Beerus added.
"What's an Arcosian?" Goku asked.
Vegeta grumbled in irritation at the other saiyan's blatant ignorance.
"Seriously, Kakarot? You know one very well. You've known him for years, as have I." He stated.
Goku scratched the back of his head in thought.
"That doesn't really help. You know a lot of people I know. Unless...are you talking about Chiaotsu?" He said, to the saiyan prince.
"No you dumbass! I'm talking about Frieza! His race are called Arcosians. Originating from the planet; Arcose!" Vegeta yelled.
"Enough with your incessant prattling. Point is, this girl is a Kandusai. The last of her kind for all we know. This is why we are leaving her with you." Lord Beerus snapped, losing his patience.
After remaining quiet during most of the exchange.
Bulma spoke up. "Just where exactly are you from? You are human, but it doesn't seem your from this world at all."
"It's kind of hard to explain. But...I am from earth. Just not from this universe. I'm from a universe or dimension, that's completely separate from your own. I was jogging in the woods near my home. When I came upon a strange glowing orb on the side of the trail. When I touched it, there were these bright flashes. Next thing I know, I ended up on Lord Beerus's World." Angel said, answering the older woman's question.
"She stumbled upon a Daigon Sphere. It was activated and it brought her to our home world like she said." Whis added.
"I thought the Daigon Spheres were lost. Not long after planet Kandu's demise." Vegeta said.
Whis cleared his throat. "Oh, they were. And they still are. Only now, there are only two that remain. The one that sent her here, was destroyed. So as you can see, it put her in quite the dilemma. It's why we believe she will be better off here under your care."
"Why's that?" Goku asked.
"Because if Frieza learns of her existence, he may try to destroy her. You two can protect her." Lord Beerus explained.
"Why? Why would Frieza want to hurt her in particular?" The orange clad saiyan asked again.
"Probably to finish what his ancestor started." Vegeta said, answering his question.
Instead, Goku gave him another look of confusion. Vegeta growled in annoyance.
"That Arcosian Leader, Froze. The one who wiped out her race. He's Frieza's ancestor. Dammit Kakarot, get with the program here." The saiyan prince spat.
Goku's face turned serious. "If that's the case, then we should definitely keep an eye on her then."
"I'm glad we came to an agreement." Lord Beerus said. He then turned to Bulma. "So, what dish did you cook up this time?"
The blue hair scientist groaned and informed him it will be ready in a few minutes and to wait out here. She turned to Angel and smiled. She told the younger woman that she will also make up the guest room for her. Angel thanked her and Bulma went inside to finish up with the food. Feeling a little out of it, Angel decided to take a seat at one of the round tables.
She wasn't alone for long, when someone decided to plop down beside her. Angel turned to see who it was. Only to see a pair of familiar onyx eyes, a few inches from her face. Goku was rubbing his chin. Like he was still trying to figure her out.
"Uh, hey." Was all she could get out.
"So, Lord Beerus said your race was really strong. Does this mean your a warrior too?" He asked, in curiosity.
"No, though I did a few years of kickboxing. That was quite some time ago though. But, I wouldn't say I'm any kind of warrior. I'm still finding this all hard to believe. Earlier today, I was a normal woman with an ordinary job and an ordinary life. Now all of a sudden, I find myself in an unknown universe with deities. Claiming I'm part of some ancient race of superhumans. It's certainly a hell of a lot to take in." Angel told him.
Goku gave her his trademark goofy smile.
"Don't worry, We'll start out slow in training." He told her.
She furrowed her brows. "Training?"
"Yeah, Whis and Lord Beerus told us we should prepare you, in case a threat arises. Also something about a power lying dormant within you. They believe it can be brought out during training." He paused for a moment and leaned in close again. "Did you really deflect a hit from Whis? Because if you did, then that's amazing." Goku said, with excitement in his voice.
Angel gave him a small smile. "Yeah, but I still say it was lucky. I don't think I can do something like that again."
The saiyan gave her a knowing smirk.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that. I think there is much more to you then you believe, Angel. Even Vegeta and Myself have a difficult time deflecting or blocking any blows from Whis. The fact you were able to do it the very first time, shows there is something powerful there." He told her.
Angel looked away and ahead. "Even if Frieza were to come here and somehow see me. What's to think he will know what I really am? Especially, when he knows that the Kandusai are extinct. He may not even figure it out right?"
Goku's expression turned serious again.
"I'm not sure. But Frieza is very intelligent and observant. Plus, he will definitely notice something awry when he senses your strange energy signature." He admitted.
She sighs, she really was getting tired of hearing about her so called 'strange' energy signature. But also knew he was right. Obviously, if Frieza were to find her out. It would certainly pique his interest. And most likely not in a good way. Angel shutters at the thought.
The saiyan sensing her unease, places a large hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, don't worry. Vegeta and I won't let him near you. Your in good hands here." He assured her.
They chatted a little longer, until Bulma came out with one tray of food after another. Goku hopped up and rushed over to the table of food and started piling up as much as he could on his plate. Vegeta joined shortly after. Who was then followed by the two deities. Angel remained where she was, deep in thought. It felt like so much was happening at once here. Already, she misses her home and her family. Everyone here had given her so much information. Yet, at the same time, she was no closer into finding answers on how to get back home.
Angel was startled from her thoughts. When Bulma placed a plate full of food down in front of her, along with a glass on water. She then took a seat next to her and started talking.
"I know this all seems scary and strange to you. But you are among friends, and we will try to make your stay here as comfortable as possible."
Bulma pauses and quickly glances at the men at the buffet table before turning back to Angel. She leaned in and put her hand by the side of her mouth and whispered just loud enough for the young woman to hear.
"Plus, it be nice having another girl around to talk to. One can only take all this testosterone for so long before losing it. I swear, at times I wonder why I haven't chucked Vegeta over the balcony head first yet." She finished.
Angel couldn't help but chuckle at Bulma's confession. And in a way, it did help put her mind at ease. The Capsule Corps Heiress was right. She was among good people. With that in mind, she dug into the delicious plate in front of her.
Until Next Time ;)
