The next chapter is posted! Enjoy :)
Angel was lead into the training area of the Brief's home. The two saiyans well, mainly Goku wanted to test her and see where she's at. It's like once he learned of the Kandusai and that they were a warrior race. He's been eager to see what she can do. While Vegeta was still very doubtful and skeptical of her abilities. And he wasn't the only one. Angel didn't really believe in herself either. For she still firmly believes deflecting that hit from Whis was a fluke.
Lord Beerus and Whis stayed a while. Because they wanted to make observations during a small bout of training between one of the saiyans and the young woman. Angel was not really looking forward to this at all. It wouldn't take much of a hit from one of the saiyans to kill her. Something she tried to explain to Lord Beerus and Whis.
"You'd be surprised. I'm sure your body can endure more than you think. Remember, like the Saiyans, the Kandusai's bodies were also meant to endure strong blows in battle." Lord Beerus told her.
But Angel would not relent. She also tried reminding them that she's a descendent. And that she was most likely not nearly as powerful as a full blooded Kandusai. But of course, the two deities had to have an answer for everything.
"No, The race had strong bloodlines. Your not the first product of hybridization. There were many half breeds among their race. And it never became diluted down the bloodlines. Just like the saiyans power hasn't become diluted through their bloodlines. Vegeta's children along with Goku's children and grandchild are prime examples of that." Whis added.
At this point, all she could do was let it go. Because no matter how many excuses she tries to come up with. They will counter with more facts. So now here she was. Standing facing Goku, who was standing a few paces away. Angel started to get nervous and fidgety. Of course the orange clad saiyan noticed this and felt sorry for the petite woman.
"Hey, there is nothing to be worried about. We just want to see where your at. If it makes you feel better, you can fight on the offensive and I'll stick to defensive." Goku assured her.
Angel opened her mouth to say something. But was cut off, when the destroyer god spoke up.
"There will be none of that. You will be exchanging attacks too." He paused and set his yellow gaze on Angel. "You must learn to have more confidence in yourself. Because when an enemy confronts you, they won't go easy on you. Their sole objective will be to defeat you. By any means possible."
"Just concentrate, Angel. We have full confidence in you." Whis said, encouragingly.
He had them face each other and bow. Of course, Angel's was a little awkward due to being a tad rusty and nervous. Goku couldn't help but smile slightly in amusement by it. He understood what Lord Beerus and Whis were saying. But that still didn't mean he was going to go all out on the poor girl. Hell, he was nervous from the start that he'd break the tiny human woman. She had some muscle tone, yes. But in his eyes, Angel still looked rather fragile. Vegeta leaned against the wall with his arms crossed and watched.
"Begin." Whis said.
Goku waited for her to move first. Of course, Angel didn't realize at first he would let her take the first hit. So it was an awkward momentary stand off. Until Goku gestured with a nod of his head, as a signal for her to make her move. Angel dropped down into a fighting stance. Which was more steady and secure than she thought it would be for some reason.
Then she zeroed in on Goku. Just in that moment, something came over her. And it was like her body was moving on it's own accord. She rushed at Goku. For her, it was unusually fast. Goku noticed this too as his eyes widened when she was suddenly upon him. Then with awesome accuracy, Angel quickly threw back her arm and sent her fist sailing towards his face. The surprised saiyan barely dodged it in time. But that wasn't the end of his worries. Not long after she threw that punch, she grasped his shoulders firmly and rammed her knee into his gut. This caused him to double over as the wind was knocked out of him.
Once he recovered, Goku shoved her back. Angel ended up hitting the back wall pretty hard. It hurt like hell, but instead of being scared she went back into the fight just as fast. This again surprised him and he barely avoided a swift roundhouse kick to the side of his face. After ducking, he came back up and swung his leg across the floor, trying to trip her up. To everyone's astonishment, Angel cartwheeled over his extended leg and kicked him in the face on the way over.
By now Vegeta watched on, mouth agape in shock. He knew Goku wasn't going completely all out on the girl. But the fact that she was landing such efficient and strong blows was quite astounding to say the least. And this is only the beginning. If he was surprised with what he was seeing right now. Then he will be downright shocked by the end outcomes of this training session.
Goku started sending in combo punches putting Angel on the defensive. She moved with fluidity as she danced around and deflected each one. The last hit did the trick though. He sent a right jab to her gut, which sent her sailing back again. Angel landed hard on her back with a harsh auditory exhale. Signaling that the wind been knocked out of her again. It took her a little longer this time to recover.
He waited until she stumbled to standing position before he charged her again. When Angel looked up, her eyes widened in a panic. Without thinking, she threw both arms out in front of her, palms facing her opponent. Then something amazing happened. A bright orange energy circled down her arms and shot out her hands towards the charging saiyan. Once the blast connected, Goku went sailing back with such force that he actually went through the metal wall!
Vegeta's mouth practically dropped down to the floor. While Lord Beerus and Whis had smug knowing smiles on their faces. Angel dropped her arms and gasped in horror. She then ran over to the hole in the wall and jumped through it.
"Oh my god! Goku! Are you ok!?" She yelled while making her way over to him.
A few moments later he jumped back into view. Surprisingly, he was scraped up a bit from that blast. And if she looked behind him, Angel will see a path of broken tree stumps from where he hit them.
"Goku! I'm so sorry! I don't even know how that happened! It shouldn't have happened! It shouldn't be possible! I mean..." She rambled on until Goku put a hand up stopping her.
The cheery saiyan started to chuckle. "Why are you apologizing? That was awesome! I'd even say you were a natural. Either way, I definitely wasn't expecting something like that. At least not during our first training session."
"Yes, she clearly has potential." Came the voice of Whis from behind her.
She turned around and saw that the three of them followed her out of the big gaping hole in the metal wall.
"I don't understand. How did I do that? What the hell is happening to me!? It's like my body was moving all on it's own!" Angel said, her voice getting louder which each sentence. Clearly upset about what just happened.
"It's as we told you, My Dear. You are a Kandusai. This is who you really are." Whis told her again, for what seemed like the hundredth time. Since she arrived here in this universe.
Her breathing quickened, like she was on the verge of an anxiety attack or a melt down. Tears started to gather in the corner of her eyes.
"I don't want to continue anymore. I need a break. I just want to be left alone for a little while." She said quietly.
"Alright." Whis said.
As Angel walked past him. He placed a hand on her shoulder.
"I understand this is all new and shocking for you. And that it's a lot to take in. But just remember, your not alone in this. You may feel like you have no control over these actions. But in time with some practice, you will. Just take it one step at a time." Whis told her.
Angel looked over her shoulder slightly and gave a brief nod. Then proceeded to make her way back to the house. At first, she contemplated going back through the hole in the wall and entering that way. But she decided against it and went around the outside instead. When she was out of earshot they began speaking.
"What in the hell was that? How can someone with little fighting experience suddenly fight like that? It just doesn't make any sense." Vegeta said.
"It's like Goku stated. Angel's simply a natural born fighter. Though we will admit too, that this outcome was still nevertheless surprising. For now, give her some time and space. But we still advise you two to stick with a training regiment with her." Whis informed the two saiyans.
"But why? Why is it so important that we train with her? It almost sounds like your trying to prepare her for something." Vegeta replied.
Lord Beerus took a step forward. "Perhaps we are. When you really think of it. How long do you two really expect to keep her a secret from Frieza? Or any powerful foe at that? Others may find value in her. After all, this woman is the last of her kind. A race that has been all but extinct from this universe for a very long time."
"You guys have nothing to worry about. We will train her and look out for her." Goku promised.
Whis smiled. "Great! That's what we like to hear. In the meantime, You and Vegeta can go and do some of your own training for now."
"Sweet! Let's go, Vegeta!" Goku said, before lifting off.
The saiyan prince took a few steps, then stopped briefly to look back at Lord Beerus and Whis. Then he turned his gaze forward again and took off after the other saiyan.
"I wonder, you think it's possible that one of the survivors that escaped was 'Her'?" Whis asked his master.
Lord Beerus arched an eye ridge. "Her who, Whis? There were a a few million Kandusai women on Planet Kandu."
Whis sighed. "Yes, but there was one that shined above the rest. One of the most powerful in her planet's history. You know exactly who I'm talking about. You and I met her, along with the rest of her family."
Lord Beerus sharply turned his gaze to his attendant.
"Your talking about King Silas's youngest child and only daughter aren't you? Princess Mila." He stated.
Whis smiled. "The one and the same, My Lord. Knowing the King and Queen as well as we did. I wouldn't put it past them to send away their Princess in secret to avoid the rest of their home world's fate. When you really think about it, Angel has some resemblance to the late Princess. I wouldn't be all too surprised if Angel is her descendant."
Lord Beerus peered at the Brief's Residence, knowing Angel was most likely inside.
"Well, it could easily explain her natural affinity for fighting. A trait that was also present in Princess Mila. Her two elder brothers may have been good fighters. But even they couldn't hold a candle to their younger sister. That girl was born to fight, there was no doubt about that." He said to his attendant.
"As I recall she even held her own there for a while in a fight against you even. Similar to the fight you had with Goku when we first came to earth." Whis said, with a huge smirk on his face.
Lord Beerus grunted at the memory. Yes, he will admit that the Princess did give him a run for his money for a moment there. But in the end, he was still victorious. But he had great respect for the young Princess after that.
"If this really is the case. Then Goku and Vegeta really need to keep watch with her. Would hate to see any descendant of Mila's end up in the wrong hands." Lord Beerus confirmed.
Whis was now staring at the house too now in thought.
"Agreed." He said.
This chapter is dedicated to my inspiration for coming up with the Kandusai and Angel in a way being a chosen one of her kind. The base of my idea and inspiration came from watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 7. It reminds me of how they went further into explaining the Slayer's Origins and how the Potential Slayers became the Chosen Ones. Like a slayer, this story highlight's just how special Angel truly is. Both as the last of her kind and being a descendent of one the Kandusai's most powerful warriors. Until Next Time ;)
