Chapter Two: The Klarno

Hello there! I'm back, and this time, I've brought along chapter two. Once again, thanks for reading! Enjoy!

"Snips!" Anakin yelled as he walked towards the gunship that would carry him to the planet's surface. "Are you coming? These Klarno aren't gonna save themselves!"

"Coming Master!" Ahsoka replied as she sprinted towards the gunship. When she stepped aboard, she glanced around to see that Anakin, Rex, Fives, and Hardcase were also there.

As Ahsoka grabbed the hand-hold that dangled above her head, she began to think. She wondered what the Klarno were like. Considering they had been hunted to the point of near extinction, she expected a little bit of distrust, and maybe some paranoia, but she really hoped that they wouldn't be hostile. Had the Jedi Council told the Klarno they were coming? Ahsoka hoped so. She certainly didn't want to fight the Klarno, when the sole reason she and the 501st were here was to protect them.

"You alright, Kid?" Rex asked, noticing her distress.

Ahsoka took a deep breath before answering. "Yeah, I'm fine. Do the Klarno know that we're coming?"

That second part was directed towards her Master, who thought a moment before he answered, "I honestly don't know."

"Great. Just great," Ahsoka stated, sarcasm evident in her tone. "So we're heading towards a reclusive colony of paranoid force wielders who don't know we're coming? With an entire army? They won't freak out at all!"

"This'll be fun," Rex said as he put his twin blasters into their holsters.

Just then, a large thud echoed throughout the enclosed space as the gunship lurched forward slightly, signaling that it had arrived on the planet's surface.

"Invitations are stupid anyways," Anakin started as the doors of the gunship opened. "I prefer to just crash the party myself!"

"Does that apply to ships as well? You seem to enjoy crashing those!" Ahsoka countered as she exited the ship. "Besides, this isn't a party. It's a life or death situation."

"We could throw a party though!" Hardcase exclaimed. "We could have games, music, and cake!"

"Only if it's chocolate cake," Fives said.

Ahsoka, Anakin, and Rex burst out in a fit of laughter as Fives and Hardcase began to fight over what kind of cake they should have at their party.

"Guys, everyone else is giving us strange looks!" Ahsoka said in between laughs. "We need to get back to the mission!"

"Yeah, okay! Just give me a minute!" Anakin said as everyone's laughter subsided. "Alright men, let's move out! Rex, Echo, Fives, and Hardcase you're with me. Everyone else, wait here until further notice. If you see anything of interest, Com me, Rex, or Ahsoka."

Everyone replied with different variations of "Yes, Sir!" before scurrying off to do various tasks. Anakin and his group began heading out towards the coordinates where they were supposed to find the Klarno's tree.

"Whoa! That is a huge tree!" Ahsoka exclaimed as she reached the peak of a hill. The tree in front of her was massive, bright green leaves sprouting from each and every golden brown branch. "Is that the Klarno colony?"

"I think so," Anakin replied as he gazed at the towering tree, which seemed to grow larger with each step they took.

"But there's nothing there other than a tree! No way inside it either," observed Rex.

"We know that the Klarno are there somewhere!" Ahsoka said as she walked determinedly towards the tree. "We just have to look for them."

When they finally reached the tree, everyone began looking for even the slightest sign of life.

"I've found it!" Echo suddenly exclaimed as he was studying the lower half of the tree. Everyone quickly ran over to him to see what he had discovered. "See that hole near the roots of the tree? There's light down there. They don't live in the tree, they live under it!"

"How do we let them know we're here? None of us are small enough to get down there!" Fives said.

Hardcase looked towards Ahsoka and said "Well, you're the smallest out of all of us."

"I'm not that small!" Ahsoka said "I could only fit my foot in there at the most."

"Alright, let's tape a note to Ahsoka's shoe, and she can put her foot into the hole so that the Klarno can read it!" Fives suggested, sounding almost proud of his plan.

Ahsoka was about to respond when, suddenly, a whistling sound cut through the air and a dart hit Hardcase in the neck, causing him to collapse on the ground.

"SCATTER!" Anakin yelled, immediately before he was also hit by a dart. He stayed up slightly longer than Hardcase, but he still fell to the ground.

Everyone who was still up ran, each in their own direction, but it was no use. They fell to the ground one by one. The last thing Ahsoka remembered was a sharp stinging in her arm, and then, everything was black.

MWAHAHAHA a cliffhanger! I know that chapter was once again short, but I plan to update a lot more now since I have nothing to do. I might even start updating twice a day!
