Ch 28 Attack on Hogwarts

Ritsuka, Holmes, Sigurd, Ginny, and Hermione went into the west entrance of the Forbidden Forest to track down where the Demonic Beast originated. They encounter some of Uridimmu that tried to stop them only to be struck down by Sigurd's sword.

"Ritsuka, you said your familiar with this kind of what do you call them?" Ginny asked.

"Uridimmu, and yes me, Mashu and my Servants that time encounter them during an important mission." Ritsuka said, "I can't spare the details, it's a well-preserved secret between Chaldea and the Mage's Association." He said as Uridimmu appeared.

The group stops as Sigurd went off to deal with the Demonic Beast. One Uridimmu attacks the dragon slayer only for him to dodge it and stabs it on the side. The other one tried attacking from behind. Sigurd cut straight in the middle of its face as it cut in half.

The final one charges at the knight as he took out two daggers and throws them right in the eyes as they fell on the ground. Sigurd jumps on top of it and stabs it in the heart. "Enemies eliminated," Sigurd said.

Hermione tried to remain calm at the sight of blood and manage to calm herself. "I'm impressed that your ability to hold it in, Ms. Granger," Holmes said to her. "It's not every day a human encounters Demonic Beast," Holmes said as they continue their way to the origin.

"Demonic Beast? I think I heard that term in one of Professor Moody's classes when we're going over demonology." Ginny said.

"Not the creatures from hell, these are from the Age of Gods," Ritsuka said. "These creatures were created by the primordial goddess Tiamat the mother of all Demonic Beast." He said as he already knew these aren't mother's doing.

"So how do we defeat them?" Hermione asked.

"We find the mother, if she's taken out that means there won't be anymore Uridimmu produce," Holmes said to the two.

"We're almost to the source, get ready," Sigurd said sensing the magical energy. Suddenly a fireball came reign down from the sky.

"LOOK OUT!" Hermione points the ball of fire.

"Ruler!" Ritsuka orders as Holmes grabs Ginny and jumps way back from them.

Sigurd carries both Hermione and Ritsuka as he moves at an inhuman speed just before the fireball impacted the ground creating a crater and smoke.

Hogwarts

Dumbledore senses strong magic from outside the Great Hall. He looks at the window only to see the clear night sky. He looked around the Ballroom as it was still going on. Ritsuka's Servants and his date Mashu were here chatting with each other.

He doesn't like this at all, Ritsuka wasn't anywhere to be seen. He walks outside to look for the boy only to halt with a sudden sensation to stay within the Ballroom. He tried to resist the sensation but a sudden urge to drink some butterbeer came running to his mind. "I could use some Butterbeer." He said walking to the drinks.

Scáthach sighs in relief that her rune was working as the wizard wanted to go out change their minds to stay in.

Vlad looks at the Lancer. "(How are you holding out?)" He asked.

"(I'm doing just fine, though I'm not sure how long the rune would last.)" The Queen of Shadows said. "(I suggest that one of you should assist Saber and Caster outside.)"

"(I will go,)" Vlad said as he steps out of the Ballroom.

Remus noticed the Berserker going outside the Ballroom. "Sirius, let's follow Berserker there." He said to the Animagus.

"Why Moony?" He asked the werewolf.

"I want to speak to Ritsuka about the whole fight between him and Umbridge." He said truthfully.

Sirius sighs wanted to go talk to him as well. "Okay, let's do it." He agrees as the two Marauders follow the Berserker.

Arthur notices the two as they manage to get past the rune. "(I'm going after those two.)" he said

Mashu looks over to where Arthur was staring. "(Those are Senpai's uncles, Saber please make sure they are safe.)" Mashu said to the King of Knights as he followed them.

The two Marauders followed Vlad to the entrance of Hogwarts as he returns to his original clothes. They saw him morphed his clothes as he summoned his lance in his hand. "What in Merlin's name is that man is doing?" Remus said as he took off at an inhuman speed.

"No human can run like that!" Sirius said surprised at the speed.

"Don't forget, these are Ritsuka's Servants we're talking about," Remus said. "Quickly let's catch up." He said as the two ran to him.

They stopped when they saw only a few can witness. Lion-like creatures were everywhere as they gather on the main road.

"What are those things?" Remus said as a roar was heard by their side. They turn around to see a Demonic Beast lunged at them.

"Remus, look out!" Sirius said as a gust of heated wind throws the creatures off-balanced and fell on the pavement.

Both Remus and Sirius took out their wands and cast spells at it only to be unaffected. "These are not affected by magic!" Remus said as the creature stood up.

A blur soon came between them as the creature was cut in half. They look to see Saber in his usual attire.

"Saber?" They said questioning the Servant.

He glared back at them. "Stay behind me. Caster's bounded field prevents anyone to enter." He said as he took h position.

"Bounded Field?" Remus asked as he felt something that prevents him from going inside the school.

"Mongrels, on the ground," Gil called the two as they saw him flying without any broom. "Stay there and let us Servants of Chaldea handle these Demonic Beast." He said as golden portals shot spells at the herd.

"What the-" Sirius look at the spell's trajectory as they exploded right in the center of a huge herd of the creatures.

They saw Siegfried out there cutting down each beast that came after him and Vlad summoning stakes from the ground impaling them.

"Wait a moment. You're protecting us aren't you?" Sirius said.

Saber looked back at them. "It's master's orders to keep everyone safe in the school, and make sure no one can see this battle." Saber said as he stabbed one in the head.

"Ritsuka ordered you to keep us safe?" Remus said shock to hear that Ritsuka is protecting them even though they treated him as an outcast.

Sirius suddenly realizes something. "Where's Ritsuka!?"

Forbidden Forest

Hermione opens her eyes to see a flaming crater where they once stood. "Hermione are you alright?" She turns to Ritsuka standing beside Sigurd.

She looks around for Ginny in a frantic state. "Where's Ginny?"

"Don't worry, Ruler has taken her back to the school." He said to her as she sighs in relief that she's unharmed. "We still need to get to the mother." He said helping the Gryffindor girl up as they continue their way to the Demonic Beast.

"Right." She said following the Magus.

They walked a good distance before Ritsuka stopped and peered behind a tree. "Ritsuka, what is it?" Hermione asked.

"Saber," Ritsuka motions the dragon-slayer to him. He did so peering where his master stood.

A large version of the Uridimmu with a bright yellow mane staking the area. Hermione sneaks close to the pair to see what are they staring at. She was shocked to see the large beast with two smaller ones guarding it like it was their queen.

"Is that the mother?" Hermione asked as the creature let out a roar. "What is it?"

"So it's a hive mind?" Ritsuka said to himself before going back. He looks at Hermione "That Demonic Beast is called Ugallu, they usually in packs or one leading a group of Uridimmu as the hive mind." He informs her.

"So if we take it out what would happen to the Uridimmu?" She asked him.

Sigurd looks at the enemy to see how many are there. "There's seems to be two guarding it, best to take out the smaller two before head to face the mother." He said taking out his daggers ready to kill the two Uridimmu. "Master, your orders." He said.

"Defeat the enemies before you Saber," he said ordering the dragon-slayer as he rushes out to kill the two.

Hermione witnesses Saber as he throws the daggers at the two Uridimmu as they cried in pain before Saber summoned his sword cutting them down. "I gotta say, seeing Saber fighting like that is entertaining." She said.

The Ugallu saw its protectors defeated as it charges at the knight. It spits out a fireball at him.

Sigurd manages to dodge the attack but was knocked to the tree by its paw. Sigurd gasp at the force he felt. Sigurd stared at the beast as it charges at him, once it was close enough Sigurd jumps in the air throwing his daggers at the hide of the Beast.

The daggers were able to do minimal damage to it but not that much to injure it. "Damnit, only if that Mage was here then he'll boost my attacks," Sigurd said wishing Merlin was here. He looks back at his master nodding to him as he dodges another attack.

Ritsuka noticed Sigurd nod as he turns to Hermione. "We're lucky that you are here and not a big group." He said with a smile wishing this would be easy to deal with.

Hermione looked at the final master as he looks at Saber. "What do you mean?" she asked as he stared back at her.

"Hermione, what you are going to see is where only a few can witness." He said getting up from the ground.

"What do you mean by that, Ritsuka?" she asked.

He grips his hand in a fist as he concentrates his mana. "A Servant has a trump card called a Noble Phantasm when things are dire, such in this case." He said as he opens his eyes as Sigurd jumps to dodge another attack.

"Noble Phantasm?" she asked. "What do you mean by that?" she asked.

"Just watch," he smirks as a Command Seal glows. "By my order! Show the power of a member of a Lostbelt…SIGURD!" he cried as the red seals disappear.

"Sigurd?" Hermione questions as Saber's body glows a blue aura.

"Yes, master!" he said as he dismisses his sword and daggers appear before him spiraling around and greenish-blue lighting sparks around him as he closes his eyes.

"Demonic blade, complete. "

Sigurd opens his eyes as the lighting disappears and starts punching the daggers at the Ugallu

"Show me your pride. "

Then his sword appears before him and punched it to the Demonic Beast with enough force that echoes through the night sky.

"This is the dawn of destruction..."

The daggers jabbing the beast in multiple directions before the demonic sword penetrates the Ugallu's skull. Sigurd appears before it and punches the sword with a strong force while calling his sword's true name.

"Bölverkr Gram! "

Once he punched Gram a beam of light slices the Ugallu body in half.

Hermione gaped as Sigurd called back his sword to his hand as the Beast split in two as it disappears. "Just what is that?" Hermione asked in awe of the power she witnesses.

Ritsuka saw a shadow of a person retreats further into the woods. He decides not to pursue him seeing there's no Servants station in the west part of the Forrest and would be foolish to let Sigurd go after her where they stand in the middle of a dangerous place.

"Enemy destroyed, master," Sigurd said as the body of the Beast disappears to dust.

Ritsuka walks to where the Beast once laid as he picked up furred things on the ground. "Item secured." He said putting it back in his pocket.

"R-Ritsuka what was that?" Hermione asked.

Ritsuka turns his head to Hermione and smiles. "That Hermione is a Noble Phantasm, a crystallized mysteries or powerful armaments made using the imagination of humans as their core, and weapons or abilities owned by Heroic Spirits." He explains to her.

"What?" she said not fully understanding what he said.

Ritsuka sighs. "How should I explain this…" he said before snapping his finger. "A Noble Phantasm is a heroic spirit's or a Servant's representation of their legends, for example, let's use Godric Gryffindor." He said as Hermione nodded. "His legend is that he is one of the founders of Hogwarts and Gryffindor house and his memory for wielding the Sword of Gryffindor that would make it his Noble Phantasm." He said.

Hermione pounders in her mind on what she's been told. She looks up at the two. "So what you're telling me that Saber here is a Hero from the past?" she said as Ritsuka confirms it.

Hermione staggers a bit as she leans on the tree. "Then…then Saber-wait a moment…" she paused as she looks up at them. "You called Saber, Sigurd…as in the hero who slew the evil dragon Fafnir!? THE…ACTUAL…SIGURD!" she exclaims. "AND THE SWORD YOU USED WAS GRAM RIGHT!? THE SWORD THAT YOU REFORGE FROM YOU FATHER'S SWORD!"

"You got that right," he said.

"So that means, your Servants are heroes from human history!" she exclaims. He nodded as she squeals in joy.

"Merlin's underwear, I actually met the hero from history." She smiles until she realizes something. "Wait is Sigurd from a Germanic Mythology? He was supposed to be a myth?'

Sigurd steps up. "Lady Hermione as long as those myths exist heroes from mythology, folklore, and other ways exists as well." He said.

"Wow, just wow." She said. "I can't believe that you're alive."

"Not entirely, we're heroic spirits recorded in the Throne of Heroes." He said.

"Throne of Heroes?" she asked.

Sigurd nodded. "Yes, the throne is where heroes and villains gather once their life is at its end. Once recorded a master can summon us as his servants to do whatever the master wants." He said. "In master's case, the preservation of Humanity."

Hermione looked at Ritsuka. "Preservation of Humanity? Why would you want to persevere humans?" she asked worried that it might be something evil.

Ritsuka sighs that he has to explain this to her. "Hermione, this is our Chaldea's most guard secret. Only the Mage's Association, the UN, and Chaldea know of." He said as she gulps. "Since you witness Sigurd's Noble Phantasm and figure out his true name, I can make an acceptation."

She nodded before he speaks "But do keep this a secret from the others, especially Dumbledore."

She nodded with a stern looked. "You can count on me, Ritsuka."

He nodded as he went to a log on the ground and sat down as he patted on its motion to Hermione to sit. "This will take a while."

"I have all night." She said.

"Well, it started with an ambitious Mage named Marisbury Animusphere the former head of the Astronomy Department in the Association, he has created the Chaldea Security Organization to preserve Humanity after receiving a large sum of money from a ritual that grants wishes to the victor." He said.

"What kind of ritual?" she asked.

"The Holy Grail War," he said. "It's a war between seven masters paired with seven heroic spirits. After winning the Grail War, he and a college created the future seeing devices called Chaldeas."

Hermione looks in awe, "A machine could do that? How is it possible?"

"Magecraft and science." He smiles.

"Anyways, Chaldeas detected seven unobservable points in time. These are Singularities Fuyuki, Orleans, Septem, Okeanos, London, America, Camelot, and Babylonia. These are called the Grand Orders missions to prevent the incineration of Humanity " He said. "Then the Remnants of the plan Shinjuku, Agartha, Shimosa, and Salem."

"Wait, you said these are in the past right? How can you…you can time travel." She said.

"We called it Rayshift, time travel technology permits the projection of the spirit of a living human into the past to intervene in events that were distorted." He said

"Amazing, by the looks your mission was a success," she said.

"Yeah, with a cost." He said solemnly. "The late director Romani Archaman sacrifices himself so we can succeed with the battle with Beast I." he smiles.

"I'm sorry for your lost." She said to Ritsuka.

"It's fine, he was a father figure to me and Mashu." He said.

"I see," she said as she changes the subject. " You said Camelot and Salem? Did you meet King Arthur or better yet Merlin?" she asked. "And Salem how we're you able to avoid being prosecuted since you're a magus?"

Ritsuka laughs at her questions. "This Camelot took place in the holy land where a divine version of King Arthur reign supreme. To be honest I thought we would die trying to stop the King." He said remembering the hardships during that time.

"And Salem, that was a shit show." He said telling her his time in Salem.

"I'm jealous that you were able to do those things, but it's kind of sad that you did not experience the era," Hermione said.

"Well, we tried to have breaks from time to time. Anyways it's getting late we should get you back to the school." Ritsuka said.

"Wait, you mention Lostbelts when you order Sigurd to release his Noble Phantasm." She asked. "What are the Lostbelts?"

Ritsuka looked at his watch. "Another time, maybe over tea. This topic is a lot to take in" He smiles

"Sure," Hermione said as they stand up from the log.

"Sigurd will continue to be your bodyguard but continue using his class name," Ritsuka said. "Don't want anyone finding out his weakness." Nudging the dragon-slayer.

Sigurd sighs at his master's childish antics. "Master,"

"Will do, um…what about those Demonic Beast back at Hogwarts?" she asked.

Ritsuka looks at the way back to the school. "I wouldn't worry about that, Caster and Saber probably already defeated them."
