"I cannot believe it. Tickets to an animated movie about the bug and cat. And we get into the VIP party. Knew it was good to have connections to the directing world." Odd said.
"That seems interesting." Medusa said. "Yet at the same time weird."
"Ah...I get it. You're one of those types that prefer live action to animation. I get that animation isn't as popular as...actually is more popular so you should enjoy it." Odd said.
"Well, it could be fun." Medusa said.
"You bet it'll be. And I'll be getting an autograph from that director guy. Uh...what was his name again?" Sonata asked.
"Thomas Astruc." Odd said. "I love you but sometimes you get excited over things you have no idea about and you haven't heard a word I just said, right?"
"Sure I did. Uh...was it about macarons?" Sonata asked.
"No but there will be some at the catering table." Odd said. "Oh well, this is close enough."
"Never thought he would exist in this world." Lan said. "This may be interesting."
"So you know about this guy?" Jet asked.
"Not personally but I saw some of his work back in my world before I entered this fictional reality. He worked on a number of shows including Code Lyoko. He actually created this show called Miraculous and it was based on this world." Lan said.
"Man, it's kinda weird when you think about it, some worlds existing as media in other worlds." Scarlet said. "Kinda like the chicken and the egg question."
"Maybe we should save the philosophical questions for another day." Mark suggested.
It wasn't long before they were at the premiere of the film as they enjoyed themselves at the VIP party.
"Now this is what I call classy service. Top notch food, rich guests, how...amazing." Vector said. "And we don't gotta pay a thing."
"Always about the money, huh? But yeah. It was a lot better than I expected it to be. And...surprisingly accurate." Mayumi said.
"Yes, though it is a shame Marinette has to work during it." Medusa said.
"Yeah...I wouldn't call that working." Catra said pointing to Marinette who was looking at Adrien with Kagami.
"Oh, Kagami's here too." Saki said, wearing her gotholita dress. "Does anyone else think those two might become a couple?"
"Probably. Hard to say." Sectonia said, wearing a blue dress.
"Well, judging from Marinette's expression, she certainly doesn't like the idea." Emo noted.
"Only time will tell." Anna said, wearing a black dress, black gloves that extended to her elbows, and her hair in a top bun.
"Of course she doesn't. She's got a major crush on him." Odd said as he saw some girl trampling over a guy.
"Whoa. What a chump. How sad would it be if he were the director of this thing, right?" Vector said.
"Vector...that was the director." Odd said.
"Oh…" Vector said.
"Eteud." Simon said.
"Yeah. Some people just don't understand how talented animation directors are." Odd said seeing Thomas walk off. "Maybe some time to cool off will help him...hopefully."
"Let's hope you're right." Saki said.
Meanwhile at the Agreste Mansion…
"Well, would you look at that...seems we got a down on his luck director." DaDan said.
"A perfect target. I mean, it seems people have put down the powers of animation." Techno said.
"I would have to agree." Hawk Moth said sending out an Akuma as it flew into Thomas's keycard. "Animaestro, you're going to show everyone who you really are with a power as limitless as your imagination. All I ask are the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous."
"I will show them the power of a director." Thomas said as the Akuma overcame him.
It wasn't until a short moment later that he marched into the party.
"So none of you think a director does nothing, huh? Well I'm about to show you what I'm capable of." Animaestro said as he transformed into a large cartoon dragon as he fired beams at the nearby buildings.
"Huh...would you look at that." Odd said. "Okay...party just got postponed."
"It would seem so." Medusa said, donning her combat outfit.
"Not the kind of scuffle I prefer to get into on my Sunday Best." Sectonia said.
"Yeah but...we gotta stop this guy." Sonata said as the four of them went out with Ladybug and Cat Noir to battle the new villain.
"Hey, dude! You gotta stop this! Also, what was with that line about Ladybug being afraid of cats?" Odd asked.
"You haven't even seen the movie and you're already slamming it?" Animaestro said.
"It's called constructive criticism." Odd said.
"Some people just can't handle criticism." Sectonia said.
"Gotta agree on that." Ladybug said wrapping up the guy.
"Don't celebrate so soon." Animaestro said, becoming a large mecha. "You will all be forgotten." he said, firing a beam at them as they dodged before jumping down as a cartoon dog from the 1930s. "I'm the only real hero anyone needs."
"You wish." Sectonia said as she shot light disks at him.
"I concur." Medusa said, throwing her chain daggers at him.
"Haha!" he said tossing out a black spot as their attacks disappeared inside it.
"We can't fight a living cartoon. They're too clever and crafty. We need a way to shut him down." Odd said.
"Hmm… Hold on. He was upset when he assumed that no one saw his movie. So… If we can divert everyone's attention from him, he won't be able to move." Sectonia said.
"That's...genius. He's a living cartoon now. If no one sees him, it'll be like he doesn't even exist." Odd said.
"Then I shall move in and grab the mask, with my eye cover on, I can't technically see him." Medusa said.
"So first, we need to focus on shutting off the cameras." Sectonia said.
"Shouldn't be too hard. The only one covering this is the local news." Odd said firing a laser arrow and breaking the camera lens.
"Okay everyone. If we all shut our eyes, the bad guy will be defeated. So lets do it!" Sonata said as they started covering their eyes one by one.
"No! Don't!" Animaestro said lunging at them.
"Sorry...that's all, folks." Odd said as he and Sectonia shut their eyes as Animaestro froze in place.
"Now, Medusa." Sectonia said.
"Yes." Medusa said as she dashed towards Animaestro and grabbed his mask as she ripped it in half, releasing the Akuma.
"And...scene." Sectonia said as everyone opened their eyes. "That's a wrap."
"Well done everyone. Well done." Simon said.
"See y'all at the wrap party." Odd said.
It was later that the group sat in the theatre as the movie was set to begin.
"You know, as premiere parties go, this one definitely goes in the top 5." Odd said.
"Yes, it is rather...fun." Medusa said with a small smile.
"Now all that's left is the real fun part...watching a movie." Sonata said.
"Think there will ever be a Hero Alliance Movie?" Vector asked.
"Can you imagine the casting for that one? That would be a nightmare." Sectonia said.
"It would be a hell of a movie series, that's for sure." Simon said.
"Yeah. No one would wanna make a movie like that. Not even me. But...maybe if it were animated." Odd said.
"I'd pay to see that." Eddy said.
"Yeah...guess only time will tell." Odd said as the movie started.
