Ch 29 Confession

Sirius and Remus were in awe at Ritsuka's Servants defending Hogwarts with their life. The one who protects them called Saber was pouring his heart out to defeat those creatures. "Just how many are there, they're endless," Sirius said as the creatures looked up in the sky and howls.

"What's happening?" Remus said as they heard the distorted, demonic cry of those creatures. Then a bright blueish green light shined in the west part of the forest.

Arthur and the other Servants looked at the Demonic Beast as they act. They are now disordered and gone berserk. "Now our chance, master was able to defeat the leader." Arthur cried out.

"Got it." They said as Gilgamesh summons more golden portals behind them soon golden scepters appear.

"Disappear you mongrels!" Gilgamesh said as he shot a spell at the remaining herd that wiped them out in one blast.

Gilgamesh floated down from the air as he landed in front in front of his master's uncles. "Tch, they're not even a challenge." He said dismissing his stone tablet.

Soon the Servants gather around the uncles of his master. "Just what are you guys?" Remus asked.

"We are Servants contracted to our master, summoned by him to aid him to preserve humanity," Arthur said.

"Preserve humanity? What does that mean?" Sirius asked as Saber and Berserker return to the formal clothes they wore before the battle.

"That's master's right to tell you, not us," Siegfried said as he dematerializes to go patrol off somewhere else.

Both wizards were shocked at the disappearance of the Servant. "Where did he go?" Remus exclaims.

"He simply went off somewhere to check the surrounding area if anymore Demonic Beast is lurking around." Berserker said as he renters the school.

"So where is your master, I mean Ritsuka?" Sirius asked.

Arthur and Gilgamesh looked at the west forest entrance. "He went off with Ruler to deal with the main enemy in the forest," Arthur said.

"Why would he go off and deal with the enemy?" Sirius asked as he looks at his godson's Saber. "Is Ritsuka trying to prove himself?" he asked.

Arthur shook his head as Gilgamesh scoff. "Foolish Mongrels, master doesn't want any fame from anywhere. He just following his ideals." He said as he opens his stone tablet as he brought down the Bounded Field that covers the whole school. "I have put down the Bounded Field, you mongrels can go back inside the school." He said before dematerializing.

Remus and Sirius looked at each other before looking at their former King. Arthur sighs as he scratches his head. "I will speak to master to let you speak with him."

"Thank you, Saber," Sirius said.

"We appreciate that Saber," Remus said. "To be honest, we're worried about him since he was sent away from James and Lily." He said a bit of worried in his voice.

"Yeah, I would gladly take Ritsuka under my care and raise him," Sirius said. "As his godfather, it's my duty to step in and raise my godson if James and Lily are unable to."

Arthur looked at the two wizards as he judges them by his words. From what he can tell they both deeply care for his master just as the rest of his Servants. Arthur smiles slightly at them. "I'm glad master has at least two of his original family that cares deeply for him. Even though you two aren't related he is still lucky." Arthur said.

Sirius inclines his head. "We appreciate your words, Saber."

"Go back inside, the Yule Ball will come to an end soon." Saber said. "I must wait for master to return." He said to them.

"Of course," Remus said. "And thank you for being there for our nephew." The werewolf said as they return inside.

Arthur sighs as he looks out in the distance. "I wish that you were more open with us about your personal life, master." He said to himself.

Forbidden Forest

Hermione, Ritsuka, and Sigurd walk through the forest handing back to the school after that fight with the Demonic Beast. Hermione thought to herself of the information that Ritsuka disclose to her about the real purpose of Chaldea. "Ritsuka?"

The Magus looks back at Hermione. "Yes Hermione?" he asked.

"When you disclose to me about the Grand Orders and the Remnants you mention the Incineration of Humanity." She asked. "What is it?"

Ritsuka sighs as he'd hoped that she didn't ask the question that soon. But he did disclose too much information to her, there's no turning back now. "I'll be frank with you, Hermione this is a topic that sounds farfetched, but it really did happen." He said. "Remember that."

"Okay,"

Ritsuka looks at the night sky as they walk. " You're aware that Solomon has seventy-two familiars right?" he asked.

Hermione nodded. "Yes, I read somewhere in the mug-mundane world in the library that Solomon has seventy-two familiars. But can't find any reference on them," she said.

Ritsuka chuckles. "Of course, the Mages Association has the real documents on the world's history before handing them over to Chaldea."

"Whats does that mean?" She asked.

"How should I put this, The Mage's Association made it their primary mission to hide Magecraft from the Mundane and sealed the true historical documents within the Clocktower and alter the history a bit." He said.

Hermione blinks at him. "So what you're telling me this Mage's Association altered the history books in the public and kept the true history hidden? Why would they do that?"

"To prevent anyone to discover ancient mysteries that would use that knowledge to heir selfish gain," Ritsuka said.

"Even though, the Mages are considered selfish by others," Sigurd said.

"I see, there are selfish people who would do that." She said. "What does this have to do with the Incineration of Humanity and Solomon's familiars."

"Demon Gods."

"I'm sorry?" she asked him.

"Solomon's seventy-two familiars are known as the seventy-two Demon Gods." He said.

Hermione's eyes widen at the names of the familiars. "B-But Solomon was supposed to be an agent of God, why would he have Demon Gods as his familiars?"

"That, we don't know," Ritsuka said solemnly. "Anyways those Demon Gods form a being called Goetia, a hive mind of the Seventy-two Demon Gods. He has seen the destructive and flaws side of humanity deciding that humanity should have aa fresh start." He said looking at his shadow.

"For him to restart humanity, he needs to deal with this humanity first by performing a ritual called the Human Order Incineration Ritual altered from the ordinal called the Human Order Correction Ritual. This alteration causes the world to be incarcerated leaving Chaldea all is left in the world." He said. "For the ritual to work he needs mana to power the ritual since the world is almost depleted from mana, he used an alternate option…humans."

Hermione froze at what he was saying. "B-But how? How could that ritual exist?" Hermione said horrified at what she was hearing. "Using humans as a power source, it's just…just…just…just despicable!" she exclaims.

"Trust me, it was," Ritsuka said. "Even its more difficult when a grail is involved."

"Grail? As in the HOLY GRAIL!" Hermione exclaims. "THE ONE THAT KING ARTHUR AND HIS KNIGHTS SEARCH FOR!" she asked shock that a holy object would cause that much.

"Not exactly, these Holy Grail were created by Magecraft that has the ability to grant any wish." He said. "We've been collecting these Grails and store them in a secure vault within Chaldea."

"Any wish, that's amazing," Hermione said. "Wait a moment, why don't you use them to grant your wishes? Don't you have any wishes you want to come true?" she asked.

Sigurd chuckles. "Lady Hermione, master doesn't have any wishes he desires." The Saber said.

Hermione was surprised that Ritsuka doesn't have any wishes. "None at all?"

"Nope, I accept things on how they are." He said truthfully. "Besides if I was going to use the grails it will be useless. Their only purpose that they were created is to distort history." He said as they saw two people in the distance.

Hermione saw that Ruler and Ginny were standing next to a tree. "Ginny!" Hermione called out to her friend as she ran to her.

"Hermione!" Ginny said turning around seeing Hermione running up to them with Ritsuka and Saber following behind.

"Hermione did you and Ritsuka manage to…" Ginny asked as Hermione nodded.

"Yes, Saber was able to defeat the Demonic Beast." She said, "How are you?"

"I'm fine, Ruler protected me from a couple of those Demonic Beast." She said. "He was cool with those…what do you call it, Ruler?"

"Baritsu," Holmes puff out smoke.

"Yeah Baritsu, it was so cool," Ginny said as Ritsuka walks up to them.

"Fujimaru, things will be dangerous going forward if Demonic Beast will continue this onslaught," Holmes informs him.

Ritsuka sighs. "I know. That's why when we get back to the Outpost, I will be assigning Servants in specific areas in case of another attack like tonight." He said to his Advisor.

The detective nodded. "Decently choice, Fujimaru," he said to him. "As your Advisor, I support your decision."

"Hold on for a moment," They all turn to look at Ginny. "I understand that protection is necessary and you have some issues with the Headmaster, but Hogwarts is still his school, shouldn't we at least warn him about the attacks?" Ginny asked.

Ritsuka shook his head. "From our spy, Dumbledore has a spy of his own in Voldemort's circle so any information on what he is planning will give Dumbledore an upper hand."

Ginny understands now, Dumbledore already knew this attack is coming and did do anything about it. "So he knew this attack is coming?" she asked.

"Yes, but we beat him to it," Sigurd said. "That's why Caster, Saber, and I are patrolling the grounds instead of attending the Ball."

Hermione looks at her protector. "So Ritsuka's entourage are the ones who are protecting the people back at the Yule Ball?" she asked looking at the Magus.

Ritsuka scratches the back of his head as he looks away. "That wasn't part of the plan, we just planned for a relaxing evening." He said truthfully.

"Oh,"

"In any case, Ginny since you got involved with us then I have to place a bodyguard for your protection." He said to the Weasley girl.

Ginny looked at Ritsuka with a surprised look plastered on her face. "Wait, WHAT!" she exclaims at the news she was just told. "But why? I can't let anyone follow me around like a puppy. The others will suspect something suspicious."

Hermione walks up to her. "Don't worry, Ginny they'll be in their spirit forms so no one can see them. they can communicate with you in your mind so it would be easy to talk to them." She smiles as Sigurd nodded.

Ginny smiles as she looks at Ritsuka. "Alright, it seems that Hermione has convinced me."

Ritsuka nodded. "I will ask someone to be with you later," he said. "Since it's still the holiday weekend I can let you come over to the outpost. Unless if you have something planned with your family already?"

Hermione shook her head. "My parents are visiting my grandparents this holiday and don't have time to pick me up since their flight leaves when the train arrives." She said.

"My parents are also visiting my brother in Romania again," Ginny said.

Ritsuka nodded. "Well perfect, the staff and I had moved our Christmas party tomorrow. I will be recalling all of my Servants here at Hogwarts to come back to the party." He said to them. "I can introduce the Servant I'm assigning as your bodyguard at the party."

"That sounds fun, can't wait for tomorrow," Hermione said.

Ginny nodded getting excited for the Christmas party tomorrow. "Same,"

Ritsuka and the others walked back to the ball. As they arrived at the gate of the school Arthur was standing in front of the gate. Ritsuka walks to the Saber Servant wondering why he's standing outside. "Saber?" he asked him.

"Master, we have defeated all of the Demonic Beast that was trying to get in," he said to him.

"Good job, Saber," He smiles at him.

Arthur smiles at the appreciation he just receives. "Master, your uncles Sirius Black and Remus Lupin witness our battle with the Demonic Beast and want to speak with you." He said.

Ritsuka sighs as he turns to Holmes. "If I can't talk to Uncle Sirius or Uncle Remus can you have them come with Hermione and Ginny tomorrow, I will send envoys to guide them through the Forbidden Forest." He asked his Advisor.

"Of course, master." He said as they went back inside the Ball. Sigurd returns to his spirit form before entering back in Hogwarts.

Mashu look at the doors as Ritsuka and the others return from their mission to defeat the Demonic Beast. "How did it go Senpai?" she asked.

"It went well Mashu," he said as he looked around to see some people ready to leave. "I think we should get going, it's late." He said as his Servants got up heading to the exit.

As they walk, they passed Hermione and Ginny as they collected their stuff. "Well see both of you tomorrow, have a nice evening." Ritsuka smiles as the walks out of the school.

"You as well, Ritsuka." Hermione and Ginny bows in respect for him.

The golden carriages arrived to pick them up to head back to the outpost. Scáthach, Vlad, Jeanne, and Arthur went inside the first carriage as it started to move to head back to the outpost. The second one came up as the doors open for them to enter.

Bedivere, Arturia enters the carriage, Ritsuka was about to enter when his parents and the Headmaster walks up to them. "Senpai." Mashu held onto his sleeve worried that they'll do something to hurt him.

"Mashu, don't worry." He said giving her an ensuing smile.

Mashu nodded as he walks over to them with Emiya and Mordred by his side. "How can I help you?" he said with a fake smile.

"Ha-Ritsuka your parents are having a Holiday party tomorrow," Dumbledore said with a Grandfatherly smile.

"Yes, it's at the Potter mansion you and your brother's home," James said to his son hoping he'll go.

Ritsuka sighs. "I'm sorry, my Tech Advisor also the Head of the Technology Development Division of Chaldea has finish plans for a project I had her worked on for the future. Plus my Organization will have a Christmas Party tomorrow all day, so I can't make it." He smiles

"But Har-Ritsuka, we're your family and Christmas is a holiday for family," Lily said trying to reason with her son.

"Yes, Harry you can let your Servants and staff go home to their families," Dumbledore said. "You can't let them stay for this important holiday of family. Your tech something can wait to show you that school project some other time."

Ritsuka scoff. "Family? Don't make me laugh, I don't consider you all my family after you left me to suffer under the Dursleys. Besides don't forget my Servants are my familiars, I consider them as family." He said glaring at them. "If we're done here, I would like to leave." He said as he turns around walking to the carriage.

James gritted his teeth as he stormed over to Ritsuka grabbing his suit. "SENPAI!" Mashu cried out as Emiya and Mordred were ready to attack the person who dares lay a hand to their master.

Ritsuka held out his hand to them singling them to halt. "I'm tired of you thinking you important and all high, you will come home with us and learn to respect your betters," James said to his son as Lily just stood there.

Ritsuka chuckles before bursting into laughter. James and the other two were surprised at his response. "W-Why are you laughing?" James demanded.

Ritsuka smiles with a sinister look on his face. "You think you can act tough and scare me? Think again father," he smiles. "I have face sadistic people, demons you never heard of, and foreign gods in my line of work that I'm used to it. I been captured and integrated before and trust me when I say, you're nothing compare to them."

James was frightened by the look on his son's face as he loses his grip on him. Dumbledore knew all to well the look on the Magus's face, it's the face of someone who sees that no one else has seen. He took out his wand ready to strike down Ritsuka to prevent any problems in the future he is determined to create when a knife was thrown at him dropping the wand.

He looks down grip his hand as the knife sticks out of his wrist as he looks to see who could have thrown the knife to see the man with white hair stood there with knives in his hand as he tosses them in the air as they land on his hand.

James drops Ritsuka as he straightens his tie. "Just what happen to you," James said stepping back from his son.

Ritsuka looks at his mother who was stunned by the event as he turns around walking to the carriage.

Dumbledore gains the courage to get up and grab the Elder wand before Mordred steps forward blocking his way to the wand. He looks up at the man who defies him before.

" Yo, old man. This is strike two, don't think of attack my master with your puny magic spells, because if you do." Mordred summons her sword as she thrust it in the ground leaving a crack on the bricks. "I will stab you with my sword."

Dumbledore stared at the sword as it has this distorted electric covers it. Only normal humans and wizards can see it, only Mages and Servants can't.

The wizards stood there scared for their lives as they enter the carriage heading back to the outpost.

The ride was silent as Mashu looked back at her Senpai. Soon they arrived home where the others were waiting for them. "What happens?" Vlad asked as Arturia and Emiya told the others of what happened.

Ritsuka turns to see Mashu standing alone as the others went back inside the Outpost. "Master?" Bedivere asked him as Ritsuka told him to go ahead.

He walks to his Kohai, as he stood in front of her she looked up at him. "Mashu, what's wrong?" he asked.

"Senpai,"

"Tell me what's wrong," Ritsuka asked worried for her.

"It's just…your family is horrible to you, why can't they treat you with the respect you deserve!" she said with emotions. "If only they knew the hardships you faced, and people you lost then…then…th-" She was interrupted by a sudden kiss on the lips by Ritsuka as she closes her eyes.

Ritsuka stopped as she looks at her. "Mashu, it doesn't matter what they think as long as you and the others are by my side then I'm fine." He said to her.

"Senpai,"

"I love you, Mashu. I always have feelings for you." He said. "I want to stay with you forever in Chaldea." He said with loving eyes.

"I-I love you too, Senpai and I want to stay with you as well." She said as they kissed in the night.

Tiamat was at the window snapping pictures of the two cooing at them. "Laaa," She sighs looking at them before her older son pushes her.

"Mother, leave them be," Kingu said as he looks at them. "Don't ruin their moment." He smiles happily for his little brother.

"Laa," Tiamat nodded as she went back to her room happy for her son.

"I wish you luck, little brother." He smiles following his mother.
