"Caaaaaaaaake!"
That scream followed by an explosion brought about another rampage of Gigantitan, as he was unconventionally wreaking havoc through the paris streets, looking for his favorite thing in the world, sweets. A group of heroes were following him as the giant infant made his way towards the Dupain-Chengs bakery.
"Why the heck did August have to get Akumatized this late? It's past his bedtime!" Leanne said.
"Apparently the kid wanted some late night cake and his mom probably said no." Sato said. "So now he's out looking for some."
"Let's try and calm him down." Ladybug said. "Lucky Charm!" she said summoning a large plastic donut.
"Donut!" Gigantitan said as he started teething on it before realizing it wasn't food and tossing it into the bakery.
"My room!" Ladybug said.
"Zahra, think you can calm him down?" Ajna said.
"I will try." Zahra said as she began singing a soothing lullaby while playing her Oud.
Tom Dupain, seeing the donut wedged in his daughters bedroom, became worried.
"That's Marinette's bedroom!" He panicked, quickly rushing upstairs while Zahra played and the heroes tried to prevent Gigantitan from stopping her.
"He's not listening. Oh wait...I know how to beat this guy." Odd said firing a laser arrow at the little bracelet on his arm as Ladybug caught and purified the akuma and Gigantitan reverted as Leanne caught him.
"I'll handle taking the little guy home. His mother must be worried sick." Leanne said, taking off.
"Sorry it didn't work out, Zahra. I guess bigger enemies don't receive your music as well as others do." Hope said.
"Hope, he was a baby. They barely pay attention to anything." Jexi said.
"Hence why even Hawk Moth can't control him." Nagito said.
"It's quite alright, I at least made an effort to help you all despite not being a fighter." Zahra said.
"Yeah. Hmm...hope Marinette isn't in too much trouble." Jexi said.
"I'm in love with you, Cat Noir." Marinette's voice called out from her room.
"Okay, so...we just ignore that right?" Odd asked.
"Definitely." Lea said.
"Are you guys sure?" Ajna said with one eyebrow raised.
"Take it from a guy who's had plenty of girls. You don't wanna get between fake love." Odd said.
"Well if you say so, but if I know parents, they can be very protective when it comes to their children's feelings, especially their daughters." Ajna said.
"Speaking from experience?" Zephyr said.
"My dad wasn't really the type to let me leave Ashwat. He raised me all by himself, teaching me martial arts, controlling my emotions, all of that, since my mom died." Ajna said. "And then, well… Ravannavar attacked my village, and dad was killed. And it kinda led to where I am now."
"Yeah but Marinette's dad is pretty chill. I'm sure that this will all blow over by tomorrow." Odd said.
The very next day…..
Everyone was on the Galaxy King, minding their own business, when the ground suddenly shook and a giant rose stem burst from the Dupain-Cheng residence and climbed into the sky.
"What happened?!" Hope asked.
"It's Marinette's dad, he got akumatized." Glimmer replied. "Apparently, things didn't quite go as well as we thought."
"Huh...what do you know? You think you know a guy." Odd said.
"He's now Weredad and he's trying to rip Cat Noir apart." Glimmer said.
"Ajna, you should go and help Cat Noir." Hope said.
"Right." Ajna said.
Ajna quickly leapt onto the scene as she saw Cat Noir running from Weredad.
"Whoa, he is pissed. What did you do?" Ajna asked.
"All I did was turn down his daughter gently." Cat Noir said.
"Liar! You broke her heart!" Weredad said. "And for that, I will break every bone in your body!"
Weredad leaped towards Cat Noir before he was blocked by Ajna and her ax.
"Not gonna happen!" Ajna said before pushing him back. "You've got to go through me first."
"Don't you understand?!" Weredad said, combating Ajna. "I'm protecting my daughter from all the boys who want to break her heart!"
"And you're just gonna keep protecting her from the rest of her life?!" Ajna said as Weredad avoided a big swing.
"Exactly! I'll safeguard her from sadness, hardship, and anything else that can hurt her!" Weredad growled.
"But then you would be preventing her from shaping her own path in life, she needs to experience those in order to become a better person because of them." Ajna said.
"What would you know about the life my daughter would want to lead? You haven't experienced anything she has!" Weredad said.
"Actually I did, from my own father!" Ajna said. "All that he taught me, all that I experienced, the people I met, and the friends I've made, it was because of them that I was able to follow my own path!" she said, before aiming an arrow at the rose and fired.
"No!" he growled sticking an arm out as it went and pierced through his hand instead as he growled in pain.
"He protected the rose. That has to be where the Akuma is." Cat Noir said.
"I've got this, you go on ahead." Ajna said.
"Don't need to. Seems the object of his affection beat us to it." Cat Noir said as they saw Marinette plucking the rose before destroying it.
"Alright, Marinette!" Ajna cheered.
"Wait, what's gonna happen to the giant one we're…" Cat Noir said as the giant rose they stood on began to crumble and wither.
"Uh oh. Kushi!" Ajna said.
"Altun, come!" Kushi said, materializing as Altun managed to carry Marinette and Tom to safety while Ajna took Cat Noir as they soon landed on the ground.
"You really saved our lives, thank you miss!" Tom said.
"I didn't do it alone. Kushi and Altun deserve some credit too." Ajna said.
"It was no trouble at all, sir. We were happy to help!" Kushi said.
"Still though, I wouldn't have caused all this trouble if he hadn't…" Tom looked back at Cat Noir.
"Don't worry, Dad. Cat Noir has every right to be in love with Ladybug. He's lucky to have her. And just because he doesnt love me, doesn't mean we can't be friends." Marinette assured.
"Yeah...exactly what she just said." Cat Noir said.
"Well okay. So...still sure you don't wanna work in the bakery?" Tom said.
"Heh...guess some things don't change that quickly." Marinette said.
"No...but...wouldn't have it any other way." Ajna said.
