Frieza moved in front of Angel. Blocking her from Rydge's view. The Brench Man chuckled at the move.
"Funny, how you try to protect someone who's been lying to you from the start. She new the Daigon Sphere was here the whole time. And she didn't even tell you." He taunted.
Angel winced slightly at that remark. Mainly because it was the truth. She looked up at Frieza, who was still keeping an eye on this new enemy. She stood up and moved to stand next to him. She gave him a sideways glance to see what his reaction was. He had a scowl on his face, that was still directed towards Rydge. But a part of her knew, he was a bit pissed at her too.
"But then again. You have been hiding something from her too. I can't help but notice, that I can sense her energy just fine. Yet, yours is rather difficult to track. As if your doing something to conceal it. This wouldn't happen to be because of that lovely little metal bracelet you wear is it?" Rydge asked with a knowing smirk.
Angel turned sharply to face him. Her brows furrow then she looked down to the bracelet. She did always wonder why she could hardly sense his power. But Angel chalked it up to not mastering her ki signature sensing skills as of yet. That's one of the last things she was learning with Goku and Vegeta. Right before Frieza showed up and kidnapped her. He still didn't turn to face her. She knows with him, she should've known better and not be so surprised. Yet, she can't also help but feel hurt that he kept it secret.
"Looks like you have concealed your energy as well. And appear to be quite good at it. But then, either way you still wouldn't be a match for us." Frieza replied.
Rydge started laughing. "Oh I know for a fact I'm more than a match. At least for you that is, Lord Frieza." He said, mockingly.
Now the tyrant was getting annoyed with this Brench Man's cockiness. Did this slip of a man really just admit that he is stronger than him. Him, the mighty emperor of this universe. Was that a joke!? Look's like it's time to put this arrogant prick in his place.
"I hope your better at fighting than you are at jokes. Because it's going to be fun pummeling you." Frieza snapped.
Koji didn't know what to make of this confrontation, as he watched it from the sidelines. As much as he wants to help, he feels he may get in the way. He turns his gaze to Angel. If anything, she would have a chance against this horrible man. Even though Rydge was excellent at concealing or suppressing his ki. But Koji learned from a very young age how to detect someone's true ki. And this man's was massive. Frieza and Angel need to be careful. This man was obviously very dangerous.
Then Frieza went down into his fighting stance. Rydge just stood there, not going down into a stance or any move for that matter. He seemed as cool as a cucumber, which is rather strange for someone who is about to fight. Angel didn't like this, obviously this man had something up his sleeve. That eerie smirk never left his face either.
Then before either of them could blink. Rydge was suddenly right in front of Frieza. He wasted no time in shoving his hand into the arcosian's side. Then he gave his hand a jerky twist. Frieza gasped in pain and surprise before dropping to his knees. Then he began coughing up blood. Angel looked on in horror. What just happened!? How did he do that!? One second he's several feet away from them. The next, he was suddenly right in Frieza's face. And by the tyrant's surprise, he hadn't expected that either.
Despite the danger right there in front of her. Angel dropped down on her knees next to Frieza and put an arm around his shoulders. While the other went to his side. He flinched away from her touch with a hiss. But Frieza wasn't down long. He shot back up and threw a punch at Rydge's face. It made contact and sent the orange man sailing backwards. He went through a few trees and slammed into a boulder.
Frieza looked over at her. "Get away from here. I'll deal with this arrogant bastard."
Angel shook her head. "Forget it, I'm not going anywhere."
"He's after you. He wants to use you to activate the Daigon Sphere. It be reckless for you to stay here. Now go." Frieza said, spitting out another small glob of blood.
The hit from Rydge must've been a pretty critical one. The way he twisted his hand on the side of Frieza's gut seemed like he just twisted his insides. Possibly damaged an organ, with the way he coughed up blood.
"I'm not leaving you behind here. Just look what he did to you with one hit." She said, trying to reason with the stubborn arcosian warrior.
Frieza growled. "You fool, this is hardly a scratch. I won't tell you again. Get out of here!"
Before Angel could say anything back, Rydge was before them again. But what surprised them most, is that he didn't have a scratch on him! You would think after taking such a hit, he'd at least be bruised with a busted lip or nose. Instead, it looked like Frieza hardly touched him. The tyrant was a bit surprised himself. That right jab to the face point blank should've done some damage.
Rydge chuckled again. "Did I fail to mention that whatever you throw at me will barely harm me? You certainly learn a lot from books about magic and potions when you have all the time in the world to do so and nothing else.
So that was it, he either did some kind of spell, or took some type of potion that made it harder to cause damage to his body. Great, this should be one hell of a fun fight. Even more so since they had to now figure out a way past his defenses. Frieza wasted no more time and powered up to his 'Golden Form'. Unfortunately, this power up didn't seem to faze Rydge in the slightest. Could he really be that powerful, that even Frieza's golden form may still not be a match?
The Brench Man powered up and dropped down into a fighting stance. Frieza did the same. No one made a move the first few moments. Then the tyrant charged head on towards Rydge. The Galactic Emperor started throwing a series of hits at his opponent. But Rydge was doing a great job at avoiding them. Angel hung back, because at this point she felt like she would get in the way. Especially when they were fighting so vigorously right now.
Frieza executed a back spin kick to the side of Rydge's head. This time he made contact yet again. Sending the Brench Man flying into another large boulder. The force of the kick sent him straight through it. The tyrant didn't stop there. He sent a barrage of death beams towards his target. Kicking up more rock and debris until you couldn't see Rydge.
Nothing happened at first. Then a large yellow ki blast came through the debris towards Frieza. The arcosian warrior put his hands out to stop it. He was able to do so, but then something strange began to happen. The yellow ball of energy started to crackle and grow under his palms. It grew rapidly, until it was three times the size of him. The strength of the energy ball grew with it. And soon Frieza, was starting to struggle with it. Whatever this technique was, it reminded him of the ball of destruction Top sent him during the Tournament of Power.
It started pushing the tyrant back. And worse, it still kept growing! Pretty soon it would swallow him up if he couldn't counter it or deflect it. He wanted to send his own ki blast back into it to try and force it back and gain some control. But it was too close and too overwhelming right now to gather the energy needed. Especially, when he was using a lot of his energy to keep it from hitting him.
Koji ran over to Angel. "We have to move now! Before this whole area is hit with an explosion!"
At first she was about to protest. But Frieza was starting to lose ground now. While he along with the massive ball of energy was also headed straight for them as well. So Angel reluctantly fled the danger zone with Koji in tow. They flew until they were a safe distance away from the blast zone. Or so they thought. Soon there was a bright flash, that made the two Kandusai Warriors cover their eyes.
Then an earsplitting explosion followed right after, along with some powerful shock waves. Both Angel and Koji were thrown back from it. Koji ended up in a lake a couple miles away. While Angel hit a few trees on the way down to the ground. Once she made impact, Angel quickly forced herself to her feet.
"FRIEZA!" She screamed in fear.
Angel quickly flew back to the war zone. When she got there, a good portion of the woods had been decimated. She landed in the large crater which was the size of a few football fields. She hastily looked around trying to find any sign of the former emperor. To her horror she couldn't find any signs of life in the general vicinity.
Rydge dropped down in front of her a few yards away.
"If your looking for the Galactic Emperor, then I'm sorry to inform you, that he's currently down for the count. That was some highly concentrated divine energy. I'd be surprised if he were able to get back up again after that." He told her.
Tears made their way to Angel's eyes. No, he can't be down. She needs to find him. Instead of facing Rydge, she ascends into the air and start looking around. She couldn't spot him for at least a good minute. Then right there, Angel saw something pale in stark contrast to the dirt below on the ground. Several meters to her left. She raced over to him as fast as she could.
Angel gasped when she saw a bloody and battered Frieza laying among some rubble and other debris. He was breathing, but clearly in a lot of pain. She dropped down on her knees beside him. She gently cupped his cheeks. His eyes shot open and he gasped in pain. He looked about deliriously at first, blood was dripping over one of his eyes from a deep gash in his forehead.
"It's ok." She said.
Frieza coughed up some more blood.
"I...I told you...to leave." He said between coughs.
"And I told you. I'm not going anywhere." Angel replied.
"How touching, I'd be careful though, Angel. We wouldn't want history to repeat itself do we?" Came the mocking tone of Rydge, as he dropped down before them.
Angel turned her steely gaze to him. Only to gasp in shock when she saw he had the Daigon Sphere in his hand. She shook her head and muttered, 'No'.
"Now get over here. I've been waiting for almost a century for this very moment. And I refuse to wait another minute more. So be a good little Kandusai and activate this sphere." He said, with an edge to his voice.
She stood to her feet. "No."
The Brench Man narrowed his cold black eyes at the young woman. He quickly fazed in front of her and wrapped his hand around her neck, lifting her clear off the ground.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" He grounded out.
Angel clenched her teeth. "I said, No!"
He squeezed her neck and brought her face down until it was mere inches from his face. Which now had a scowl contorting his features. If she didn't know any better, Angel would even say, Rydge had a half crazed look in his eyes.
"You insolent little bitch. You will activate the Daigon Sphere. Even if I have to force you to do so!" He yelled.
"GO FUCK YOURSELF!" She all but yelled in his face.
Then she worked up a small amount of ki in her right hand and placed it near the side of his head. Shooting the energy into his head point blank range. He quickly dropped her and was sent flying into the nearby woods. Angel rose to her feet and took a few steps towards the nearby woods that lined the crater. There was a roar of fury, before he came shooting out and punched her hard in the gut. The force of the hit sent her sliding across the ground.
Angel pushed herself up into a sitting position. Only to see Rydge with a ball of energy in his palm, that was held above his head. The ball crackled with energy. He was about to send it her way, when he was hit with a death bullet. The powerful technique was meant to go straight through him. But being that he was difficult to injure it just left a scratch on the side of his ribs.
But it did the trick. Rydge turned his attention to the one who shot at him.
"I must say, I didn't expect to see you on your feet again, and this soon. You truly are impressive." He mocked.
Frieza was back on his feet, still a little worse for wear.
"What can I say. I like to surprise my opponents." He spat.
The orange man narrowed his eyes at the arcosian.
"It's too bad I don't like surprises then." He said.
Rydge held his arm straight out. Then he formed what look like ki in the shape of a spear in his hand. He quickly threw it towards Frieza. The tyrant deflect the spear. But didn't expect the Brench Man to quickly form another and throw it at him as soon as he deflected the first. The second spear went straight through Frieza, leaving a gaping hole the size of a baseball in his midsection.
The orange man didn't stop there. He sent two more of those energy spears at Frieza. Who was still stunned by the gaping hole already there. The spears connected and once again passed through the former emperor with ease. One went through the right side of his chest. While the last one went through his lower left ribs.
"NO!" Angel screamed.
Frieza had a look of shock on his face when he saw three baseball size holes in his body. Soon after he dropped to his knees, before finally hitting the ground. Angel ran over to him and placed her hands over the gaping holes. But the damage was too extensive and he was heavily bleeding out from his injuries. More tears started flowing down her cheeks.
"You'll be fine, just stay awake. I'll find Koji and he can get us some help." Angel said, between cries.
He gave her a sad smile as he reached up and caressed her cheek, smearing blood on it.
"It's ok. Just please, leave this place. Get as far away from him as you can." He rasped.
Blood started seeping out the corners of his mouth. Angel's vision became blurred by her tears as she leaned in to kiss him. Frieza weakly returned the kiss. When she pulled back, his eyes closed and his head lulled to the side. His blood was smeared on her lips and chin. She frantically shook her head. Muttering, 'No'; over and over. Angel then tried to shake him awake. But he lied still.
"Please, please don't leave me." She pleaded.
Angel thought she felt heartbreak before, when her disgusting Ex cheated on her. But that was nothing compared to what she was feeling now. Her heart was literally hurting right now. She grasped her hand over her chest where her heart was. Angel then lifted her head to the sky with an anguished scream that filled the air. At the same time her aura fluctuated and her power skyrocketed. The force of it forced back Rydge, who was quite surprised by the sudden burst of power.
The orange aura around her crackled and sparked as she let out another grief stricken wail. There was a bright flash of stunning orange light, that blinded the Brench Man. The ground beneath their feet trembled and shook. While the wind around them howled and picked up speed, giving the impression of being in a wind tunnel or a storm.
When the light died down, Rydge pulled his hand away from his eyes and was stunned by what stood before him. Was this still the same woman!? Everything about her suddenly seemed so different. Her long brown locks were now a stunning bright shade of white that seemed to reflect the light. And it wasn't just her hair, her skin was reflecting light making it appear paler than what it was. She was shrouded in a bright orange flaming aura. But what was most startling were her eyes. If they were blue before they were even more so now. They looked to be electric blue, a stark contrast to her dilated black pupils.
Angel set her eerie eyes on the orange man. Who looked like he was trying hard to hide his nervousness at this new powerful form. Rage had taken her over and now she was out for blood, Rydge's blood. Angel took a couple steps towards him, the energy around her crackled and expanded. A deep scowl marred her features.
"My Turn." Came an eerie voice that didn't sound like her own.
Rydge clenched his jaw and dropped down into his fighting stance. Whereas he was completely relaxed earlier. Now he was as tense as a bowstring. Sure he had the power of the Mai'ki Stone, that kept him from sustaining grievous injuries. It was embedded in the center of his chest beneath his clothes. But now he's wondering if it will be enough.
Angel's power skyrocketed so much that it ascended into divine territory. Now, Rydge can only rely on his manipulation of divine energy. And hope that he will still be a match to the enraged Kandusai Warrior, that now stood before him.
Looks like shit just got real. Angel is all jacked up and ready to fight. If anyone wants an idea of where she is at with her battle power. I'd say it's just beyond The Super Saiyan Blue Level and Rage Mode Golden Frieza. In other words, she may even prove to be a challenge towards Lord Beerus himself. Please don't hate me for what happened to Frieza. I promise this is not the end for him.
