Angel squared off against the Brench Man, preparing for a fight. She can't describe the strange state she is in. But rage and grief clouded her mind. It was ironic to say the least. Here she was uncertain of her feelings towards Frieza. But once she saw that other side of him, things have changed. Once he was struck down, a sharp pain embedded itself in her heart. Now all she wanted was revenge against this vile man who stood before her.
Rydge remained stoic. But this unknown level she has reached has put him on the defensive. Yes, he did manage to manipulate some energy with magic to give him divine power. But it was mainly borrowed power. That is why he made his fail safe, the Mai'ki Stone. If the power fails, he will at least still have the stone. It will continue to keep him from sustaining severe damage. But Angel, was a different story. Her power was not borrowed. It was in fact her own. Stemming up from within. Unlocked with grief and sorrow.
This level made her dangerous. He had to put her down as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will be more difficult later. He tucked the Daigon Sphere in his robes. Rydge didn't have long to ponder his thoughts. When Angel was suddenly in front of him. His eyes widened with a gasp.
"How." Was all he managed.
Because Angel thrusted her fist into his gut. He bent forward with a pained grunt. The orange man coughed up some blood. Then retaliated with a swift kick to her legs. Only to find he didn't hit her. Angel's form flickered and fazed out of existence like smoke. Only to faze behind him. She put her hands together and slammed them down into the back of his head. Rydge slammed face first into the gravel with tremendous force.
She then went airborne. Never taking her eyes of her opponent, Angel brought her palm up to the sky. An orange flickering flame like ki formed in her hand. It grew to half the size of her body. Then she flung it down at Rydge. Who barely got out of the way in time. Or so he thought. With a flick of her wrist, the flaming ki blast shifted sharply and slammed into him with a bang.
The orange man was blown backwards. He sustained some damage. But was not completely unscathed. Had he not had the stone or the borrowed divine power. He would've easily been killed by that blast. In anger, Rydge built up his own ki blast and fired it towards Angel with a yell. She put her palms out in front of her and once the hit was close enough. She stopped it mid air, and with a clap of her hands the energy dispersed like a tiny fire cracker going off.
Upon the distraction, Rydge fazed to the right of her and threw a punch at her head. Without turning her head, Angel quickly caught his fist. She began to squeeze it until you could hear the bones in his hand crunching. He grimaced, but didn't stop his assault. The Brench Man tried slamming his knee into her gut. But she blocked that too than shoved him away.
Soon they were locked in a deadly fight, parrying moves back and forth. They were almost equally matched. But he couldn't keep up the dodging for long. She slammed a roundhouse kick into his side. Her hits were hard and brutal. He could barely recover in time, before she came in with another blow. Rydge blocked it just in time. He grabbed her extended leg and was about to slam his elbow down on to it. Only to hit shimmering smoke where she used to be. His eyes widened again in shock after witnessing her doing this a second time.
"How's this possible!?" He asked himself.
She fazed in behind him, little streaks of orange lightning crackled around her hands. Angel brought her hands up on either side of the man's head. From there, Angel sent volts of energy and electricity shooting through his head. He screamed in agony, even the stone couldn't suppress the pain she was inflicting on him.
A few yards a way, Goku suddenly appeared with Vegeta. Lord Beerus and Whis informed Goku, that they felt a massive amount of divine energy radiating from this world. They asked them to go on ahead and that they would meet the saiyans there. The Z-Fighters gasped at the massive energy that was coming off the individual in question.
"Vegeta do you feel that?!" The orange clad saiyan asked.
"Of course I do, you moron. It's coming from up there." Vegeta said, pointing to two beings going at it in the sky.
"Whoever they are, I haven't felt energy like this since we fought Broly and Jiren." Goku said.
Vegeta concentrated and tried getting a good look at this unknown fighter. The two of them were moving at incredible speeds. It wasn't until they slowed down, that he noticed what looked to be a man of the Brench Race. And he was fighting some woman with bright white hair and skin. She was surrounded by a fierce orange aura. When she turned, Vegeta saw most of her face.
"No, it can't be!" Vegeta said with a gasp.
"What, what is it?" Goku asked.
"Kakarot, you don't recognize her? It's Angel!" Vegeta snapped at him.
Goku's eyes widened and he quickly looked at the young woman in question. He gasped when he realized it was indeed Angel. Their friend whom they believed disappeared a little over half a year ago. Before he could speak, they heard someone coughing and staggering over to them. Vegeta was too focused on the fight to pay attention to whoever was clumsily making their way over to them. But Goku noticed them right away. His eyes widened in shock.
"Frieza?" He asked, shocked to see his biggest enemy here of all places and in such a state.
Goku made his way over to Frieza who was still staggering, due to the huge gapping holes in his body. The saiyan reached out and caught his arms to keep him from falling forward. But the tyrant shrugged him off. And leveled him with a look.
"Stop it, you fool." Frieza hissed.
"What are you doing here? What happened? More importantly, what happened to Angel?" Goku asked.
"I don't know myself. It's like she became someone completely different." Frieza said, before turning to look up at the fight above.
"What in the hell is he doing here?" Vegeta asked as he walked over. The saiyan prince stopped besides his comrade and narrowed his eyes. "Most of all, why can't we sense your energy signature?"
Goku blinked a few times. Until he realized himself, that he couldn't sense Frieza's battle power either. Frieza didn't answer or even acknowledge Vegeta's presence. He still had his blood red eyes locked onto the fight. Goku too has turned his attention back to the spectacle lighting up the sky. He still couldn't believe it. Goku would've never believed Angel could reach such a level. He knew she had tremendous potential waiting to be unlocked. But this...was just crazy.
"We need to stop her. She's out of control." Vegeta explained.
"But, how did she even get like this?" Goku asked.
"Does it matter? She's not use to harnessing this much power. It could get out of hand." Frieza added.
"I suggest you all stay where you are." Came the familiar voice of the destroyer god.
They turned to face Lord Beerus and Whis, who stood a few feet behind them. And next to them, was a young man they have never seen before. The saiyans and the tyrant couldn't believe what he said. Stay here? Until what? Angel loses complete control of her power and herself?
"But Lord Beerus, Angel never fought on a level like this. It's insane, we haven't felt power like this since we fought Jiren or Broly. It's like she unknowingly unlocked some form of God Level." Goku said, worried for his friend.
"This is Angel's fight. Have a little more confidence in her." Lord Beerus said.
He closed his eyes for a brief moment. Before focusing his attention back on the Kandusai Warrior.
"This is all the evidence I need." He said.
The three of them turned to the Destroyer God.
"What do you mean? And who is that?" Vegeta asked, gesturing to the young man next to Whis.
"This here is Koji, another Kandusai Descendant. And what My Lord means to say, is that our suspicions were right. Angel is Princess Mila's Descendant. There was only one other Kandusai who could've reached such a level. And that was the Princess herself." Whis paused for a moment and smirked. "She even gave Lord Beerus a run for his money in a fight."
The two saiyans gaped at the news. While Frieza turned his gaze back to Angel. She really is extraordinary. Watching her, he has no doubt that her ancestor held her own against the Destroyer God.
After a few minutes of trading hits, Rydge finally made some progress. He struck Angel hard with a back fist to the face followed by a side kick to the same area. She went to the side a yard or so. When she stopped, Angel slowly turned gaze back to the orange man. She had a nasty gash to her cheek and lip. Rydge had a cocky smile on his face.
"Well, well, looks like I can touch you after all." He said, with cockiness in his voice.
Angel didn't say a word. Just kept her electric blue eyes on him while she waved a hand over her face. When she pulled her hand down, the gashes disappeared as if they were never there. This shocked the Brench Man.
"What are you?" He said, cockiness gone. Replaced with a tinge of fear.
But Angel remained silent as she placed her hands in front of her, one over the other. She started to form a bright ball of energy between them. Rydge followed suit and started forming his own energy attack. After a few moments they finished building up their energy. The end results had them holding a huge amount of ki.
Then they simultaneously thrusted their hands forward and fired off their blasts towards one another. The large blasts met in the middle. But not for long. Angel's blast was overpowering his without much trouble. Even as the orange man tried forcing more into the blast, it was not enough. Not a minute went by, before her blast forced his back and both blasts hit her opponent. The ear shattering explosion lit up the sky. Causing most of the audience down below to shield their eyes.
When it cleared, Rydge was no longer in the sky with Angel. Instead, everyone turned their attention to a pile of rubble down below. A few streaks of blue light shot from the rubble. Then an angry shout mixed in with an explosion of rubble. Out came a rather enraged Rydge.
"You think you can defeat me! You can't hurt me! I've made sure of that!" He screamed.
But Angel made her smoky disappearing act again. Only to appear right in front of the Brench Man, who let out a startled gasp. Faster than he could blink, she thrusted her hand towards his chest. Angel dug her fingers into his flesh around the stone. His gasp of pain turned into a yell as she ripped it along with chunks of flesh out of his chest. Angel then flipped back a few feet with the stone clutched in her bloody hand. While Rydge staggered on his feet, clutching the gaping hole in his chest.
Everyone was still watching from the sidelines with unease. Frieza eyes widened, a feeling of dread washed over him. Like he knew what she was about to do, and he couldn't let her do. He'd be damned if he let Angel lose herself completely. She's no killer, and he knew she would never forgive herself if she killed someone. But in his current state, Frieza is unsure if he will get to her in time.
And it looks like he's not the only one concerned.
"I understand your concern. That's why it's time for you to intervene." Whis said.
Frieza turned slightly to face the tall, blue angel. Only to see Whis swing his staff around. After a few spins he pointed it at Frieza. Then there was a flash as it made contact with the arcosian warrior.
Angel wasted no time in crushing the stone into dust. Then pointed two outstretched fingers out to her side and towards the ground. With a crackle, a long, orange energy emerged from the tips of her fingers. It was elongated with a pointed end. Similar to the energy spears Rydge created to take out Frieza. She pointed it out in front of her. She made to lunge at the badly injured Brench Man. Until a pale hand gently but firmly wrapped around her bicep.
The move halted her in her tracks. She turned to see who interrupted her fight. Angel's lips parted slightly with a small gasp. When she saw Frieza standing beside her, whole and uninjured. He gave her a small reassuring smile.
"You need to stop this, My Dear. This isn't you, don't let your rage get the better of you." He then gently pushed her arm back down. "It's over now."
Tears gathered in the corner of her eyes.
"Your ok. But how?" She choked out.
Before Frieza could answer her. There was an angry shot followed by a flash and explosion. The two of them turned their attention back to Rydge. It was the last bit of the divine energy he had left. What was left of the Daigon Sphere, is now a small pile of dust in his palm. He looked up with a maniacal smile and crazed look in his eye.
"Looks like you won't be going home after all. Since I'm about to die, I figured I'd destroy your only chance of returning. By destroying the Daigon Sphere." He ended with chuckle. But his laughter soon turned into another coughing fit.
"No." Angel gasped.
Frieza gathered up energy and fired a death ball at the Brench Man. His black eyes widened in horror. Rydge screamed as it hit him and exploded. After the smoke cleared, he was gone. When the former emperor shifted his attention back to Angel. He noticed her stagger slightly, then her God Like form disappeared and she dropped down to her knees.
Frieza knelt down beside her and pushed back her long dark locks, to see tears flowing down her cheeks. He pulled her into his arms while she silently cried, knowing that her chance at returning home was now all for nothing. The others went over to the pair now that the fight is over and the threat is gone. Of course, both Goku and Vegeta were surprised at seeing Frieza embracing their young friend. Which made them pick up their pace, as they made their way over.
Hope everyone enjoyed the fight scene. Angel had some really cool moves and techniques. The idea and inspiration for her fazing in and out in a cloud of smoke came from watching the movie, "Suicide Squad". The technique is rather similar to how the Enchantress teleports back and forth and during the fight scene with the suicide squad where she was disappearing and reappearing in a cloud of smoke. Throwing them off guard and giving her the upper hand in the fight.
Looks like Angel is a force to be reckon with now. But even though she won the fight against Rydge, she unfortunately lost her one chance at going home when he destroyed the Daigon Sphere. Now it looks like she is back to square one...or is she? Until Next Time ;)
