Ch 35 Training Pt 2
Hermione felt a sensation of something small and soft that was tapping her cheek. 'What's going on?' she thought.
"Fou?" she heard a small voice but can't seem to find where it came from.
'Where is that coming from?' she thought as she heard it again.
"Fou!" a small pat hit her cheek before something was covering her face.
"FOU!"
Hermione bolted forward as she can't see or breathe. Her screams were muffled by a fluffy thing that was on her face.
"Hermione-chan, I'll get him off your face," Mashu said as she pulled the fluffy thing off her face.
"GAH!" she gasps for air once and looks at Mashu who had a fluffy creature flailing in her hands. "Fou-san calm down. I know it's been a while since you met someone new, please calm down." Mashu pleas.
"Fou, Fou!" the small Beast cried as he calms down.
Hermione stared at the small creature as it clams down. "What is he? I never have seen any creatures in any books that look like that before." Hermione said as Fou climb up to Mashu's shoulders.
"Fou!"
Mashu pets the Beast. "Fou-san here is the only one of his species, most of the staff consider Fou-san to be Chaldea's mascot others may say he's the pet here. He usually with us but nowadays he pops out of nowhere."
"Fou!" he beams with pride.
"I see," she said as Fou jumps on her shoulders.
"Fou! Fou!" The Beast cried as Hermione stroke his fur. Then Hermione realized something. "Wait, where are we? This isn't the Outpost." She said looking around.
"Oh, what is the last thing you remember?" Mashu asked.
"Well we went out of the coffin and heard a computerize voice muffled in those coffins and that's it." She said as she looks around.
"Where are we?"
"You're at the Medical Department of Chaldea," Mashu and Hermione turn to see a man with whiteish grey hair wearing a black robe with a hood and a mask that a plague doctors would wear. By his is a staff with something coil around it as it floats next to him. "I was the one who attended you and your friend on master's orders." He said to her.
"Medical Department? You mean we're at the Chaldea Security Organization!?" Hermione's eyes widen. "The organization that Ritsuka is running? This is bigger than the medical bey at the Britain Outpost."
"Yes, the Medical bey is one example of the departments that were expanded once Chaldea was under construction," Mashu said. "Berserker-san is the Medical Department head while Caster-Sensei is the acting head until she returns."
"Amazing." She said as she looks at the Divine Spirit. "Thank you for healing me, Caster." She thanked him.
"I'm a doctor. If there's any patient that needs my attention I will assist." He said. "Though I prefer recently deceased patients so I can revive them," he said walking away to speak with the medical team.
"What's up with him?" Hermione asked. "He's not like the doctors I've seen before."
Mashu sighs. "Caster-san is a Divine Spirit; he has little experience in treating humans such as yourself. Though the staff is humans, accidents rarely happen here at Chaldea."
"So he never has done any surgry or that before?" Hermione asked as she petted Fou.
"He uses his Noble Phantasm to heal anyone who's hurt, usually Berserker-san does the surgery with the doctors here." She explains.
"I see…Wait! You said he's a Divine Spirit!? As in a God!?" Hermione exclaims at the realization.
Mashu covered her mouth as she realizes she spat out viable information. "Oops, you're not supposed to hear that, but it's already too late." Mashu sighs. "Yes Caster is a God, to be more precise he's the God of Medicine of Greek Mythology."
Hermione's brain work trying to remember her Elementary school's lesson on Greek Mythology. Then she remembered as she looks at Mashu with shocked eyes. "He's Asclepius, the Greek God of Medicine who studied under the Greek teacher Chiron! He was also one of the Argonauts lead by Jason to retrieve the golden fleece!" She spat out information.
"Merlin's bloody beard, there's a literally a god here in the human world." She held her forehead chuckling at the development.
"Hermione-chan, breathe," Mashu said trying to calm her down.
"Fou!"
"Oi, human try not to hyperventilate," Asclepius said to the bushy-haired girl. "I don't want any humans fainting on me that I need to tend when I have work to do."
Hermione blushed. "S-Sorry, Lord Asclepius." She said to the god.
"Tch, I don't need my name spat out randomly. Your friend might hear you," he looked at the human girl. "Just call me Caster."
"Okay Caster." She said to him as she looks at Mashu. "Where is Ginny?"
As Mashu about to answer the Medical Department doors open to an excited Ginny as she ran to them. "Hermione! I was wandering around this amazing place when I came across the window!" she said pulling her off her bed as Fou jumps down on the mattress.
"Ginny-chan, Hermione-chan, where are you going!?" Mashu stood up from her chair.
"Fou!"
(Insert Familiar Melody (First Order Arr.) [Fate/Grand Order: First Order OST]) The two wizard girls ran down the hall of Chaldea passing a lot more staff than the ones back at the British Outpost.
"Ginny, where are we going?" Hermione asked as she looks around the white halls.
The girls pass two Lancers as they look at them running. "Hey aren't those girls that master brought in?" Diarmuid asked his king.
"Ah, two beautiful girls wandering in the halls of the great Chaldea," Fionn said smiling at the two. "Yes, such beauties must be accompanied by a gentleman of equal standing, and I volunteer to be that gentleman." The Lancer said as he was about to follow them until a presence stops them.
Diarmuid turns to the presence as inclines his head. "Master," he said to Ritsuka as he arrived.
The leader of the Knights of Fianna of Ireland turns to his master with a smile. "Ah master, the two beauties ran down the hall. I was going to accompanying them seeing they might get lost in a place like this." Fionn said to the black-haired man.
"Fionn, I can handle those girls." Ritsuka smiles at him. "You and Diarmuid can go back to whatever you were doing prior." He said to him.
"As you wish, my respectable master." He said so fully of himself. "I shall do as you say. Come Diarmuid, we must head to the cafeteria for the Sunday's specials." He said walking off.
Diarmuid sighs. "As you wish my King," he said turning to his master bowing before leaving him.
Ritsuka chuckles at the two before following his guest.
The two girls arrived at the place that Ginny wanted to go. "Hermione look outside." She said pulling the studious girl close to her.
"Ginny, what's so important…outside." Hermione trailed off as she walks closer to the window. Hermione looked in awe outside of the building as the landscape outside of Chaldea white filled with crystal-like trees similar to those flowers back at the Outpost. "It looks like it's from a fairytale," she said looking at the sparkling trees.
"I know right? I don't have any clue where we are?" Ginny said excitedly.
"I read many places describing their landscape, but nothing in the books I read describes this," Hermione said as three human figures flew down at the landing pad where staff we're talking to them.
"Just, where are we?" she asked.
"You're in the Chaldea Security Organization built six thousand meters above sea level on a side of a mountain." The girls turn around to see Ritsuka in the same uniform he wore when he first arrived a Hogwarts.
"Six thousand meters above sea level?" Ginny said shock at the numbers.
"But where are we, Ritsuka? What area of the world is Chaldea is located?" Hermione frantically asked.
Ritsuka smiles, "The only continent that has many nations said that they claim it, the frozen wasteland that most explores have difficult due to the cold. We are in-"
"Antarctica!" Hermione exclaims. "But how could this be? The recent information that Antarctica was a frozen waste stayed the same for eighteen twenty! Only organisms that adapted to the harsh blizzards and cold can live such a place, how come plants and this place existed?" she asked the director.
"Well, to put it bluntly, Mages place a bounded field in the surrounding area of Chaldea that no people can see this place. An illusion that makes anyone outside of Chaldea's area a barren wasteland." Ritsuka said. "It's similar to a ward but more advance."
"Amazing, and those trees are created by that Caster you spoke of who made those flowers in the flowerbed," Ginny said looking at the outside.
"Yep,"
"Impressive, just impressive," Hermione said clearly in awe of the place.
"I know," Ritsuka said.
"So, what are we doing here anyway?" Ginny asked.
Ritsuka understands now. "I get it, this was your first time teleporting and you two might have side effects to it."
"Such as memory loss." Hermione widens remembering the conversation with Mashu.
"That what Caster said when I first awoke," Ginny said.
"Great, I don't need to explain it," Ritsuka said. "To make it short we're here for me to train underwater combat for the Second Task in the training simulator."
Hermione nodded as her brain get fuzzy. "It's coming back to me, but I get the gist."
"Same here, so where is this simulator thing?" Ginny asked.
Ritsuka smiles "Follow me." He said leading them to a huge metal door that opens to a virtual plain. (End Song)
Hermione looked around feeling the breezes. "How is this possible, we're inside a room yet I feel a breeze." She said walking.
"I already told you before, it's an advance form of argumentative reality diverse from Magecraft." He said to them as some noises up ahead.
"What's that noise?" Hermione asked as the noise got louder each time, they walk to where it was coming from.
They went over the hill and saw a small army training with swords with a couple of Servants overseeing them train. "ONE MORE TIME!" the old man said.
"HA!" the soldiers brought down their swords as they went to the left then the right repeating the same movements.
"Sensei!" Ritsuka called out to the Saber.
Yagyū Munenori one of Chaldea's Swordmasters and drill Sargent for the Humanity Preservation army turns around to see his master walking to them. He turns to his first infantry. "Training is down for today, get lunch, or take a shower." He orders the soldiers.
"Yes, Saber of Empíreo." They said going to their break.
"I see the first infantry is looking good, Sensei," Ritsuka said to the Swordmaster.
Yagyū agreed. "Yes, they've been through rigorous training under the Swordmasters of Chaldea. They've are worth of being our pupils."
"Ritsuka, why do you need an army? This place seems to be well protected with your Servants around." Ginny said as she saw another infantry leaving.
"Well, the last time let just say that we were unprepared and cause this place to shut down," Ritsuka said.
"Yo, Fujimaru it's been a while." A woman with pinkish grey hair in blue and red Japanese style clothes.
"Saber, it sure has." Ritsuka smiles. "How are you two doing, I thought the other Swordmasters was training the army?"
Musashi smiles. "Well, D-Caster detected some wired readings in your old hometown Fuyuki, so the others went to investigate, Alter Ego is off somewhere with the other Alters, and one, well you know where he is." The Saber said motioning Beni-enma, Lanling, Okita, Okita (Alter), Nobunaga, Raikō, and Hijikata.
"I see, so only two of the Nine Swordmasters of Chaldea are here," Ritsuka said. "Poo, I was going to ask Saber and Archer to go do something for me."
"Welp, I'm always free to do whatever you ask of me Fujimaru," Musashi said with a smile.
"Really? Great, Rider of Resistance will be the one taking the small team I gather for this expedition. He'll be at the Command Room for Pepe's details on the mission." Ritsuka said.
"Leave it to me, Fujimaru," Musashi said as she left the training simulator.
The doors open to the Greek Teacher as Musashi passes him. "Archer," She greeted him.
"Saber," He greeted back as he made his way to his master.
Ritsuka smiles at Chiron. "Archer, thank you again for doing this."
Chiron chuckles. "Master, I do not mind training you." He said to him.
Hermione walks up to him. "So where are you going to train? I don't see any bodies of water anywhere. She said looking around the vast grassy plains and some small forest.
"That's easy, Lady Mashu is at the control room as we speak," Chiron said looking up as their surroundings changes to a beach setting.
Hermione and Ginny looked around impressed with the virtual reality. They soon saw Ritsuka taking off his jacket and shirt revealing his toned body. He looks at the girls as they blushed at the sight of him shirtless. "You girls can enjoy the beach settings while I train, it's similar to the beaches that you are used to." He said as he removes his pants and shoes.
They looked away thinking of Ritsuka in his underwear, they slowly look at him to see that he was wearing swimming trunks under his pants. "You just wore that under your pants?" Ginny asked.
"Well not all the time, per se." He said to them.
"Alright, master I'll leave you to your training." Yagyū inclines his head as he left the simulator.
Chiron claps his hands together. "Okay, master before we start, we need to do some stretches before entering the water."
"Hai, Sensei!"' Ritsuka said as he does his stretches.
After a while of basic sword techniques and combat, they went into the water. Hermione and Ginny watch in the water after getting some swimsuits from the shop that was randomly there. "Master, I humans can hold their breath for a certain period, unlike Servants who can go longer. There's a technique I taught my students to hold their breath for at least ten minutes before you need to go up for air." Chiron said. "After the limited go to your Magecraft once the limit is up."
Chiron told him the trick to hold his breath as Ritsuka tried it himself. Soon he figures it out after some failed attempts. "I think I got the gist of it," Ritsuka said.
"Good, now we move on to sword combat." He said as he turns to the girls. "Can either of you girls fetch a stick?" Chiron asked.
"I will!" Ginny said going to the forest getting some long sticks.
"Now, you already know how to use a sword and but underwater is tricky. Magecraft will fix that issue but the movement is important." The Centaur said. "Repeat after me." He said as he swung the stick left to right then down and up.
Ritsuka saw the movements as he did the same as the mentor to Heroes. "Good, you got the movements. Now go underwater and I will spar with you." He said as both went underwater and spar for a while.
Ritsuka dodges some attacks as Chiron swung his stick again. Ritsuka did a barrel roll over him as swims for a strike. They rose above the water where Chiron with a satisfied look on his face. "Master, you are one of the fast learners I have taught. You have absorbed the information well; I have nothing left to teach." He said as they getting out of the water.
"Thank you, Archer," Ritsuka said to him.
"Anytime." He said.
"So what now? Personality I want to stay in the water." Ginny said as she looks at the water.
"Same, it's just refreshing," Hermione added.
"Well, we have plenty of time before we go back to the Outpost," Ritsuka said. "Let's have a beach party, I will get some people to join us." He said as the girls cheered.
