Chapter 4

The Invitation

I woke up in my bed. It was still dark, so I checked the time. '3 am...' I realised I won't be able to go back to sleep, so I just laid on my bed and thought. I thought about Malfoy carrying me to the Hospital wing. I thought about him caring about me. I thought about our conversation. And I thought about my alone time in the common room.

Flashback

I sat in the empty Ravenclaw common room, in front of the fireplace. The common room was a really peaceful place, but tonight it was rather cold and creepy. Tonight I couldn't calm myself. All I could think about was Malfoy's reaction when he found out, Madam Pomfrey had told me, it was him who carried me into the Hospital wing. 'Why did he run away? Why is it such a big deal?' My Thoughts were all over the place. "Y/n?" I heard a calm voice coming from the dormitories. It was a boy. I turned around and saw a tall guy with beautiful blue eyes and dark brown hair. His facial features were soft and innocent looking. He was rather handsome. "Henry! Hi!" I softly answered. "What are you doing here, in the common room? It's 10 pm!" Henry asked while sitting down next to me. "I was just...thinking." I simply answered. He lightly chuckled: "That's what everyone says, when there is something bothering them. N/n (nickname), you know you can tell me anything!" Henry was a really good friend of mine. We had met in our second year. We were potions partners for the whole year. Henry always knew how to cheer me up. "I know I can! It's just... I don't completely understand my thoughts. It's really complicated!" I sighed and pulled my legs up to my chest. "Maybe I can help you understand the whole situation? Y/n, we are really good friends! I want to help you!" Henry nudged my shoulder as I giggled a bit. "Alright! Maybe you're right. Maybe you can help me." I said, still looking at the fire. "Come on! Spill it!" Henry nudged me again. "So, today, at the feast I couldn't eat anything, because the news of Dementors at Hogwarts shocked me too much. As I walking back to the common room, I started feeling dizzy. All I remember were cold arms catching me as I fell. Then everything went black..." I put my head on Henry's shoulder. He patted my head: "Alright, it's getting quite juicy, don't you think?" Henry laughed. His comment made me giggle as I continued: "I woke up in the Hospital wing. Madam Pomfrey told me that it was Malfoy that carried me to the Hospital. She also told me that he looked worried, and before leaving he kissed my forehead!" Henry burst out into laughter as I told him this. I slapped his arm. "Anyways, after I walked out of the Hospital wing, I ran into Malfoy. He did look really worried, but when I told him that I knew about what happened, he ran away!" I finished my story. "Well, the best thing you could do right now, would be going to sleep! Maybe in the morning it will be easier to understand." Henry said, standing up. "You're right! Thank you, Henry!" I said, standing up and hugging him. "No worries! Goodnight Y/n!" "Goodnight, Henry!" We said our goodbyes as we walked into our dorms.

End of Flashback

I smiled remembering the conversation with Henry. I drifted back into sleep when I calmed down once again.

I woke up to someone shaking me. "N/n! Wake up! Breakfast is in 20 minutes!" I heard Cho's voice. "Alright, I'm up! You guys go without me! I'll meet you there." I yawned. "Okay, but hurry up!" Cho said and left the room. I got up, picked up everything I needed, and walked into the bathroom. I took a quick shower, and used a spell to dry my hair. After that I put my hair up into a ponytail, so it doesn't get in the way, while I'm going my makeup. Then I brushed my teeth, did my makeup and hair, and got dressed. My h/c (hair colour) was long and wavy. (I'm sorry if you actually have short hair!)

I ran trough the hall with my hair flowing behind me. Once I got to the great hall most of the people were looking at me. I sat down and ate my breakfast. Then I felt someone staring at me, so I turned around just to see Malfoy looking at me. When he saw me looking at him, he blushed and looked down at his plate.

~Time skip to a few days later because nothing interesting happened during these days~

I was walking trough the halls of Hogwarts. It was after curfew, but I just needed some air, so I decided to go to the astronomy tower. The news about Sirius Black escaping Azkaban were crazy. I walked to the top of the Astronomy tower. The cold air was blowing trough my hair, it felt nice. I heard steps behind me and turned around. There I saw Malfoy. "Malfoy? What are you doing here?" I asked. "I could ask you the same, Hallow!" He replied and walked to the railings of the tower. "I wanted to get some air. Besides, it's so beautiful here! I love coming up to the tower!" I calmly replied and stood next to the blonde. "I'm here because I wanted to talk to you." Malfoy announced and turned to me. "Yes?" I simply answered, still looking at the night sky and the beautiful stars. "Well, I was wondering..." The boy trailed off. "I looked at him, keeping my hands on the railings. "Yes?" I begged for an answer. "If you could meet me at the black lake, tomorrow night?" Malfoy finished and looked at the sky. Tomorrow was Saturday, we had no lessons. "Sure..." I said, but then something unexpected happened. Malfoy pulled me into a warm hug. I hugged him back. We stayed like that for a while. In silence. In peace. When we pulled away, Malfoy looked into my eyes: "Y/n, I'm sorry! I shouldn't have said all those things about you!" He blured out. "I wasn't expecting this! But sure, I forgive you, Draco!" And with that I left and walked back to my dorm.

Double update! Yay! Anyways, it looks like Draco asked you out. I'm not going to write what happens during the lessons, because Ravenclaw and Slytherin don't have lessons together… I think… I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
