Ch 39 Second Task Pt 3

A Cannon fire was shot that cause the four Champions to dive into the frigid waters of the Great Lake to retrieve their treasures.

"Good luck Senpai," Mashu held onto Ritsuka's jacket close to her heart praying to all deities for him to be safe.

"Fou, Fou!" Fou said coming out of Mashu's hood and he nuzzles on Mashu's cheek.

Mashu chuckles as she scratches his chin. "Thank you, Fou-san."

"Mashu," Mashu turns around to face Mordred.

"Yes, Saber-san?" She asked the Knight of Treachery.

"Let's go, we can monitor master on the ship," Mordred said to her as Mashu looks at the water. "Hey, don't worry master is a resilient type of person. In an hour he'll pop right back on the surface leaving those bastards behind in the dust." Mordred gave a cheeky smile.

Mashu sighs and puts on a confident face. "Alright, Saber-san." She said as the two went to the Golden Hind.

"Hey, Mashu?" Hermione called for the former Demi-Servant's name.

Mashu turns around to face the Gryffindor girl. "Mind if we tag along?" she asked as Fred, George, Luna, and Ginny was behind her.

"Sure." Mashu smiles. "Fou?" She asked the Beast.

"Fou!" he said happily

The twins gave each other a high five as Ginny and Luna smile at each other.

Draco and Daphne look at each other when Holmes looks at the two. "Ms. Greengrass, Mr. Malfoy you are more than welcome to join us on Rider's ship." The detective said.

Daphne looks at her fiancé for his opinion. "What do you think, Draco?" Daphne asked him.

"Why not, it's boring just waiting for an hour for them to get to surface with their treasure," Draco said as he turns to Holmes. "Sure Ruler, we will join you on the ship." He said as both Slytherins followed the Chaldeans.

Charles and Ron saw them walking to the ship that Ritsuka went on to get here. "Should we follow them, mate?" Ron asked his friend.

Charles scoffs. "Why should we go on that ship where everyone is here enjoying themselves?" he said. "Let them do what they want." Charles looked away from them.

James, Lily, Sirius, Remus saw the Chaldeans as well boarding the ship thinking the same thing as Charles and Ron. "James, I think we should follow them," Lily said.

James looks at the ship as Reines looked back at him with a smile before she disappears in the boat. "Maybe later." He said to his wife.

Sirius and Remus look at each other and nodded to each other as they follow the Chaldeans on board.

Mashu was setting up a holographic map of the Great Lake as it turns on as a blue dot indicating Ritsuka's position in the lake. "There he is," Daphne said pointing to the dot.

"I will say it again, this technology is amazing," Hermione said impressed that this existed.

"We,"

"Want to,"

"Learn how,"

"To create this."

The twins said wanting to know how to make this stuff for their pranks the just thought of.

"If you are impressed by this, I suggest you speak with our Head of the Technology Division," Holmes suggested. "She's the one who approved of this map."

"Wow," the twins said wanting to meet the person who made this map.

Meltryllis and Salieri looked back at the plank as two wizard board. Meltryllis swiftly points her spike arm at them as Salieri did the same with his sword. "State your business human," The Alter Ego threaten them.

"Who gave you permission to board this ship?" The Man in Grey asked them.

Everyone looks to see Sirius and Remus with their hands up. "W-We just wants to see if Ritsuka is alright," Remus said.

"It's kind of nerve-wracking when you don't see him underwater," Sirius said to the Avenger and Alter Ego as they hardly budge.

"Avenger-san, Meltryllis-san release them," Mashu said to the two. "Those are Senpai's uncles." She said as they lower their weapons.

Salieri places his hand on his chest as he inclines his head. "Apologies for our actions, we're just guarding the ship for unwanted guests."

"Tch, don't expect an apology from me human," Meltryllis said as she eyed Remus. "Especially you, dog." She said to him.

"Well, that was a nice apology." Remus sarcastically said as the two walks over to Mashu.

"Hello Mashu," Remus greeted her.

"Hey," Sirius greeted.

"Remus-san, Sirius-san good to see you again." Mashu greeted them. "I assume you want to see Senpai's location in the Great Lake?"

Sirius nodded. "Yes, we're just worried about him." He said truthfully as Remus agrees.

"Well, you are more than welcome to join us." Mashu smiles as she led them to the map.

Remus and Sirius look around the ship as a blonde boy look at their way. Remus gulp sensing the same aura as Rider when he stares at him as a blonde woman that he assumes his sister turns his face to hers.

He ignores them as he and Sirius walk to the map. Once they look at the map, they too saw the blinking dot. "That's where Ritsuka is?" Sirius asked them.

"Yes, Mr. Black," Gray said to the Animagus. "This shows his location in the lake."

Remus looks impressed that muggle technology has advanced so far. "It looks like he's entering the kelp forest," Remus said.

Underwater

Ritsuka dove right in the water he used the technique that Chiron taught him when training to breathe underwater, he swam deeper in the darkness of the lake reaching a kelp forest at the bottom.

Ritsuka saw Fleur and Cedric entering the forest as Victor swims above. He swims into the forest as he evades the kelp. The place was getting darker as he swims further in, he took out a yellow gem and activates his magic circuits. "(Licht)" he mentally said as the gem glowed a faint light.

After a few minutes of swimming through the forest, he notices Fleur was next to him as she was heading the same way as he is. Ritsuka swam forward trying to get to the end of the forest where he thinks that this treasure is located.

Fleur was swimming for the end of the kelp forest when something swam passed her. She stops to see what just swam by. "MMPFF!" Fleur was suddenly pulled from her legs as it drags her down.

Ritsuka made it to the edge of the kelp forest and saw what seems to be ruins of some kind. He scans the area and saw four students were floating tied down by strands of kelp. "(What was that old fool thinking,)" Ritsuka thought disgusted at the headmaster would use his students in this.

He swam towards them before he heard a sound that is like a jet engine. Ritsuka looks back to see Fleur using her wand to create a Jetstream to get to the surface.

Ritsuka thought of helping her at first then remember the students. He continues to swim to them so he can free them. Once he arrived mermaids were circling them like sharks, he notices these students are Neville, Padma Patil, Gabrielle Delacour, and Cho Chang. Ritsuka checks each of them are still breathing and surprisingly for being underwater for this long they're all okay.

He swims under Neville as he tries to untie him from the kelp. Soon the mermaids swam away from his direction. Ritsuka was confused at first as he turns behind him. His eyes widen as he swims out of the way of an incoming shark.

Ritsuka held his arm ready to shoot the shark when he notices Krum written on the back of a beige muscle shirt. Ritsuka chokes from the water as he took out a gem to activates a spell that allows him to breathe.

He looks at the Drumstrang student. "Krum?" Ritsuka questioned as he smiles back at him.

He was about to bite the kelp off Padma's leg when Ritsuka stops him. "Wait, Victor before you swim to the surface, I need you to wait for a moment."

Victor was confused as Ritsuka swam over to Gabrielle and shot the kelp off her leg. He grabs Fleur's sister's arm and swims over to him handing the French student to him. "Wait, is it against the rules?" Victor asked the Magus as she was thrown into his arms.

"Not unless if the champion is unable to complete the task." He said to him as a sense of admiration came to the Champion for Ritsuka's selflessness. "Take her too, and I will take Neville." He said as Victor nodded as he swam up to the surface.

Ritsuka swims back to Neville trying to untie the kelp. Soon Cedric arrives as he swam to Cho using his wand to free her. "I saw you helping Fleur's sister, that was admirable what you just did." He said to him.

"I was just doing what is right." Ritsuka said humbly as he held his arm "schießen" a red gem was shot at Neville's leg releasing him from the hold of the kelp.

Cedric smiles. "Let's go-" All of the sudden mermaids swam up to the surface of the lake. Then an earthquake that causes the sea creatures to swim up to safety.

Ritsuka looks around him as he saw something coming up from the abyss. Tentacles and soon some serpent heads rose from the depths. "Cedric, take Neville and go." He said seriously as he gave Neville to the Hufflepuff.

Cedric looks down to see what Ritsuka is seeing. "H-How about you?"

"I will try to hold off it and buy you some time," Ritsuka said as his limbs started to glow and held out his hand like two guns are in them. "GO!" Ritsuka said as a myriad of colored jewels at the creature.

Cedric saw Ritsuka as he was buying time for him and the other two to escape. Cedric gritted his teeth as he swam up to the surface.

Ritsuka looked back and sighs. "He made it. Now for-"

Surface

Cedric breached the water as Cho and Neville gasps for air as Cedric swam to the platform. "AND CEDRIC DIGGORY CAME IN SECOND PLACE RIGHT AFTER VICTOR KRUM!" The Announcer said as the crowd applauded for the Hufflepuff.

Cedric reaches for the platform helping both Neville and Cho on. Amos helped his son get on the platform and patted his back. "Great job son you are this close in first-"

"THERE'S NO TIME FOR THIS, THERES A CREATURE UNDER THE LAKE THAT IS GOING TO ATTACK!" Cedric said to them.

"Cedric my boy, are you sure?" Dumbledore asked as he, the judges, and Bagman arrived to meet him. "And where is Harry-"

Soon mermaids appeared on the surface of the water making room for the incoming creature. "What in Merlin's name is going on?" Fudge asked as the mermaids started to sing their song.

"Vhat are they doing?" Igor asked as the song of the mermaids grew louder each second.

Maxime looks closer as they sway their heads as they sang. "Are zey singing?" she asked as a black shadow is coming up.

Alarms went off on the Golden Hind as Ritsuka's single disappear. "Wait, where is Ritsuka?" Remus said a bit frantic that his single disappears.

Mashu quickly tried to recalibrate the holo-map to track her boyfriend. Suddenly a large red dot appeared on screen as it was moving to the surface. "What is that on the map?" Ginny asked shock to see how large that dot is.

"Fou! Fou!" Fou growls sensing the danger from the lake.

Mashu looks at him. "Fou-san?"

"Ms. Kyrielight, I know you are no longer a Demi-Servant, but you can still sense an enemy," Moriarty said looking at the lake.

"Professor," Mashu looks at him then at the lake. "Yes, I do sense the danger," Mashu said.

"What danger?" Hermione asked as a sudden earthquake was felt underneath them and waves formed as the red dot is getting closer to the surface of the map.

Soon serpent heads erupted from the water as it's unholy cries filled the skies. The wizards are in a panic at the sight of the creature before them as the body of the heads was revealed.

Remus was shocked sharing the same expression with every wizard and witch that was present. "I-Impossible,"

Sirius and the others look at him. "Remus, do you know that thing?"

Remus nodded petrified in fear. "I-It's a-a-"

"A hydra? Well, I never thought we encounter this day and age after the Age of Gods." Castor said.

"Lord brother, we do encounter this type in the material missions." Pollux smiles.

"Wait, did you say you encounter hydra's before?" Remus said shock to hear that.

Castor scoffs at the werewolf. "Yes, when we are gathering materials for Chaldea. Though it should be extinct, and a sub-species exist somewhere." He said.

"So this is a sub-species of a hydra?" Hermione asked as everyone was confused.

Holmes walks up to examine the creature. "No, this is a genuine hydra. I have no clue how it was able to come here but our objective is clear."

"And what's,"

"That?" the twins asked the detective.

He puffs out smoke as he smirks. "Ms. Kyrielight, since you're the Assistant Director of the Chaldea Security Organization would you do the honor of informing our friends here?"

Mashu nodded. "Hai." She looks at the wizards as she prepared to tell them.

"Draco-kun, Luna-chan, Hermione-chan, and Daphne-chan knows already of we have to do," she said as everyone look them nodding as they understand the situation.

"We are the Chaldea Security Organization are here to preserve humanity, this includes modern-day situations such as this, we will handle the Hydra and defeat it," Mashu said.

"B-But how can you defeat something that huge? No amount of magic can defeat that thing!" Sirius said franticly.

"First off, we need to keep everyone safe on the platforms," Mashu said as they look at the Servants. " Rider, Lancer, Professor, Reines I need you to stay on the platforms to protect the wizards in case the Hydra decides to attack the platforms."

"Consider it done, Mashu-sama," Ushiwakamaru said as she and Benkei got off the Golden Hind.

"Of course, Ms. Kyierlight." Moriarty and Reines got off together.

"Great job on being calm and taking the lead, Mashu," Reines said as she went off the boat.

"Thank you, Reines-san." Mashu smiles as she turns to the remaining Servants.

Dumbledore notices the Servants getting off the ship that Ritsuka arrived on. "What's going on there?" he asked as The Order members that are presence and minister saw the Servants are coming on the platform.

"We should get on board that boat," Lily said as Tonks, James, and Moody agrees with her idea. While Kingsley thought we shouldn't but didn't say anything.

"I too agree with Mrs. Potter's idea." Fudge said.

"Very well, let go meet with them," Dumbledore said as they walk over to the Golden Hind.

Charles saw the Order and the Minister heading over to the boat. Ron scared out of his mind when Charles tugged his sleeves. Ron turns to Charles. "Charles what-"

"Dumbledore is going on that ship, we need to follow them," Charles said as he followed them.

"Wait!" Ron said wanting to be close to Charles as possible seeing how terrified he is from the sight of the Hydra.

Dumbledore and the others snuck on board the Golden Hind unnoticing that Charles and Ron were right behind them. Once on the ship, they saw that Sirius and Remus are with the Servants along with the students who are on Harry's side.

"(What in Merlin's name are they talking about?)" James whispers as they felt a presence behind them.

"Well, well, well some lowlife manages to get on the boat." They all turn around to see Meltryllis and Salieri standing behind them with Ron and Charles in the Man in Grey's hands.

"It seems that they didn't know that they were followed as well," Salieri said as the boys struggle in his hands.

"Let go, you, dark creature!" Charles shouts as the musician ignores his wailing.

"Mr. Dumbledore, what are you doing here?" Holmes asked as the Chaldeans look at them.

James looks at Sirius and Remus. "What are you two doing here?" He demanded of them.

"We wanted to see if Ritsuka was safe, but he's no longer on the map," Sirius said. "So we're lending a helping hand to find him."

Lily's eyes widen at what the Animagus said. "What do you mean Har-Ritsuka is no longer on the map? Is he…"

"His vitals are still active, we assume that he is lost in the lake somewhere," Remus said to them.

Dumbledore thought hard for a moment about the situation until Fudge spoke.

"We'll handle that beast, our Aurors-"

"Tch, your 'Aurors' can't match up with a beast of that caliber," Mordred said leaning on the edge of the boat. "Only Servants can defeat it."

"You may show great strength during the Yule Ball, but do you expect us to believe that you can defeat that thing out there?" Moody said to the Knight of Treachery.

"We can and we will." She retorted back at the retired Auror.

Jame went up to the knight. "Stop thinking you are better than us, you're just a dark creature that sank your fangs into the bastard I called a son-"

Mordred took his arm and twisted making the arm pointed upward. "Don't you EVER come up to my face again." She said as James held his arm at the pain. "And don't call my master a bastard you bastard!"

Lily went over to her husband trying to help him. Charles looks at his dad as his eyes widen and soon blinded by rage. "Why you little-LET GO OF ME RIGHT NOW!" Charles said as he struggles to get free from Avenger's hand.

"Stop moving brat!" Salieri said as he tries to get a good grip on his collar before he manages to slip from his grip.

Charles landed on the floor and rushes at the Knight with his fist clutched tight. "Charles wait!" Dumbledore cried out but he didn't hear him as he was guided by rage.

Mordred looks at him as he punched her helmet as he grips his hand in pain. "Really?" she raised her eyebrows under her helmet. "God damn your so stupid." She said walking up to him.

Charles glare at the knight as she ready to punch him. "NO!" Lily cried out as Remus and Sirius cover their eyes. Charles closed his eyes tight breathing hard waiting for his death.

Mordred stops her punch midway to his face. Charles opens his eyes seeing her fist then she flicks his forehead with a force that manages to push him back. "Consider yourself lucky," Mordred said walking away.

Charles rubs his forehead still feeling the sting from the flick.

Dumbledore sighs that Charles was spared as he turns to Mashu. "Ms. Kyierlight, I know we don't see eye to eye."

"Understatement of the year," Meltryllis said as they all look back at her.

"Anyways, I purpose an alliance of our forces."

"Dumbledore, what are you-" Fudge was about to say something when he looks back at him.

"And why should we forge an alliance?" Waver asked him. "Seeing that you all have a dislike of us, I don't see us working together with any longer than a few seconds." The Pseudo-Servant asked.

"Agree," Astolfo, Anne, Mary, and Sigurd said.

Dumbledore gulp as he looks at them. "Consider the situation, your master is lost out there, innocents are in danger, and a hydra is out in the lake. If we don't act now, then casualties will increase at a large scale." He said to them.

Mashu looks at Holmes as he nodded. "Very well, Dumbledore-san we will join this alliance of yours. When the situation is resolved then this alliance is to." She said as they return to the map.

"Albus, is this the right decision?" Moody asked the Order Leader.

Dumbledore sighs. "We don't have any choice is we want to keep everyone safe." He said as they followed Mashu to the map. Salieri lets go of Ron and followed them.

"Wait how about my husband?" Lily asked Mashu as she turns to her.

"Berserker-san is in the captain's quarter, take him there and she'll treat him." She said to her as she helps James.

"Now, what is the plan?" Tonks asked.

"The plan is to locate master, for he is our top priority," Holmes said. "Without him, we can't stay in this plane of existence."

"Can't you just make a contract with one of us?" Ginny asked.

"Yes, you can use me as-"

"No, you don't have magic circuits for a proper temporary contract." Waver said. "The best plan I have thought of is Gray's Noble Phantasm."'

"Huh?" Gray look at her mentor.

"Noble what?" Fudge asked.

"Yes, that seems a good plan but what if it dodges the attack? Then what?" Mashu asked. Then a bright flash of red flashes catching everyone's attention in the middle of the lake where the Hydra is then a sudden earthquake erupts as Drake tries to stable the ship. (Insert Prover)

"Hold onto something, this is a big one!" She said as she held the wheel preventing it to spin.

Everyone held onto something as a huge wave erupts revealing violet snakes growling at the Hydra. Everyone saw the serpents as more appears from the bottom of the Great Lake.

"What's going…on?" Ron looked up to see more snakes from the water.

Mashu walks forward with a sense of relief filled her being. "Mashu, what's happening?" Hermione asked stumbling to get to her as Sigurd helped her.

Lily came out of the captain's quarters to find out what is happening outside. "Wh-" she paused saw giant golden four golden wings spread out from the waters.

"What is that?" Ginny asked as the wings reveal a huge woman with snakes for hair.

Dumbledore and the wizards froze in terror of who this was. "It can't be…" Remus said unable to comprehend how she is here.

Hermione stood up as her mouth gaped at the sight. "I-I-Is t-t-that…"

Mashu smiles. "Gorgon,"
