"A statue sculpted from Molten Lava discovered in Tibet?" Hope asked. "And it's gonna be on Display at the Louvre?"
"Atua has spoken to me of it." Angie said. "Also, we've been standing here and you keep repeating that."
"Sorry, guess I do overhype some things." Hope said. "It's just hard to believe. I mean, who would sculpt something outta molten Lava?"
"Someone not afraid of burning his hands, I guess." Himiko said.
"Yeah. Guess so." Ajna said. "Huh...what a weird looking piece of armor." she said ignoring the statue and looking at an old suit of armor. "Is that a chinese symbol?"
"You're right. Wait...where have I seen this before?" Sunset said before realizing. "It's the same marking that's on the Miracle Box."
"It's on a number of these artworks. They must have been part of the same order Master Fu was in." Jexi said.
"The Order of...Guardians right?" Ajna asked.
"That's right. Hmm…." Jexi said as they hurried off but not before Angie snapped a few pics of the unveiling.
At Master Fu's, the group had arrived with Marinette.
"Yes, it is true. They were part of the order. But they are centuries old. I'm not worried about that exposing me." Master Fu said.
"But what about that weird statue made from lava?" Ajna asked.
"Will you guys stop bringing up stuff like that? Geez, it's like you are all looking for trouble. Sorry...Master Fu?" Jexi said as Fu just looked in shock at the photo.
"No no no! Impossible! We're all doomed! It's the end!" Master Fu said.
"Just from some stupid statue?" Bakugo asked.
"That is not a statue. It's a sentimonster formed from negative emotions through the power of the Peacock." Master Fu said.
"So? We've faced them before." Kaminari said.
"Not like this one. It was born from the negative emotion of a young man who had no idea what he was creating." Master Fu said. "Remember when I said I made a terrible mistake in my past? I think it's about time you all knew what happened. When I was 5, I was chosen to become a guardian. My parents told me it was such a great honor. I couldn't turn it down, so I was taken to the temple. I wasn't very happy there. I would have prefered living with my parents and being around kids my own age. I didn't want to be a guardian of anything. One of my tests was to guard over a Miracle Box for 24 hours without food. All I had for support was my staff. But I was hungry and it got worse. I couldn't take it anymore. So I took the Peacock Miraculous and used its power. All I wanted was a little companion to sneak into the kitchen and bring back some onigiri. But the anger I was feeling mixed with my intense hunger. I ended up creating a Sentimonster far different from what I envisioned. A ravenous one that was set to devour all the Miraculous. In the confusion, I lost my staff, which would have allowed me control over it. I was so afraid, so I went to put the Peacock back before the master would realize what I had done. Didn't even occur that I could have destroyed it. The master told me to take the box and the grimoire he managed to save and run away. The last one. I ran and ran and eventually, when I finally did lose it. I also lost the spellbook along with the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculous. I thought it had disappeared, but I was wrong. Once Hawk Moth finds out, he'll use the Peacock to activate it."
"Wow...it must've been rough, being forced to leave your friends and family not of your own will." Ajna said.
"I don't think that's the part he wants you to focus on." Zacian said.
"Yeah, there's a dormant sentimonster laying in the Louvre, and Hawk Moth might reactivate it." Hope said.
"I have no choice. I will reclaim the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous and leave Paris at once." Master Fu said.
"But what if it catches you this time?" Asta asked.
"Then that will be my fate." Master Fu said.
"Look, we've put a lot of faith in you for some of these things. Now put a little of that in us." Jexi said.
"Besides, we dont believe in fate." Hope said.
"Yeah, I was able to change my fate, so I know you can too." Ajna said.
"Thank you." Master Fu said.
At the mansion…
"So this statue's really a Sentimonster?" Dabi asked.
"Yes. I could feel the Amok inside it." Natalie said.
"Interesting…" Shigaraki said. "Lets wake it up."
"Problem, since I wasn't the one who created it, I won't be able to control it." Natalie said.
"I will assist on that part." Gabriel said as Natalie coughed a bit.
"You should...get some rest." Compress said.
"No...I'll be fine." Natalie said.
"If you say so." Techno said. "But if it gets to be too much..."
"I will be okay. This is all for achieving our goals." Natalie said.
As night fell, Natalie had snuck into the museum and activated the statue, breathing life back into the Sentimonster.
"Yum, yum. Miraculous!" it said, attempting to eat the Peacock Miraculous.
"Hold it. I can easily remove your Amok. Do you really want to be destroyed?" Mayura said as the sentimonster backed down. "All yours." she said as an Akuma flew in and entered the monsters mouth.
"Hello there, Feast. You're feeling hungry, right? We've got a treat for you. The power to track down other Miraculous and devour them. But you need to bring back the Cat and Ladybug ones. Got it?" Pete said.
The monster was not sure about taking the deal.
"Look, I promise after we use the two, you can have them...and the Butterfly and Peacock too. Your hunger will finally end. So? Deal?" Techno asked.
The monster shook its head in joy as it soon grew to an enormous size. "Miraculous!" he said crashing through a wall.
"We're gonna destroy him the moment he eats them all, aren't we?" DaDan asked.
"Well, he'll have already fulfilled his purpose once he does eat them all, so at that point, destroying him is a mercy." Techno said. "Course, he doesn't need to know that right now."
"Wow...you are wicked and conniving. I like it!" DaDan laughed.
"I've already got a plan in place. Once everything is settled, Frieza will destroy it, freeing everything it ate, including the Miraculous." Techno said. "All we need to do is wait."
Elsewhere, Master Fu was loading his bicycle as Wayzz returned with the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses. "Master...are you certain we want to do this? They promised to help." Wayzz said.
"I know. But I cannot involve them anymore than this." Master Fu said as he got on the bike and started pedalling as the two figures that had been watching him were going after him.
"Master…" Wayzz said as they saw the two figures...but they were not the only ones.
"Old man, the hell are you playing at?" Aria called out on her hoverbike.
"You're going to cut and run like that?" Lan said.
"If you run away now, then you're no more than a coward." Ajna said, dashing in her Tara Heruka Form.
"I do not know to that extent, but… Do you truly believe that fleeing with the Miraculous is going to solve anything?" Rokuten Maoh asked.
"Also, who the heck are you guys going after…" Hope said to one of the figures as the hood flew back.
"What the...Mach?" Lan said.
"Could it really be him?" Rokuten Maoh asked.
"Yes, it's me. I've been scouting the old man for months for a chance to get close to that box to bring it back to Arthur to sell." Mach said.
"Wait, then who's…" Hope said as the other figure's hood flew back. "Ray?"
"Yeah...Jack had a similar idea. Only for the fame of taking it." Ray said.
"As if this hasn't got any more annoying." Aya said, riding a motorbike.
"Annoying? We're thieves." Mach said. "Well I am. Not sure about the kid."
"Doesn't matter what you think. I'm getting the…" Ray said.
"Miraculous!" a voice called out as they saw Feast running down the street after them.
"Yep...he woke it up." Aria said.
"What is that thing?!" Ray asked.
"It's a sentimonster. A monster created by the Peacock." Mach said as some of them stared at him. "You don't steal things without understanding some of the history behind them."
"We need to lose it down the streets. We keep going straight, it's gonna catch us." Ray said.
"That won't work. Odds are Hawkmoth enhanced it with tracking abilities, so it can find the Miraculous no matter where it goes." Hope said.
"Actually, Hope… Keeping him focused on the Miracle Box could be just what we need right now. Of course, this means one of us has to be the decoy." David said.
"I'm the fastest out of all of us here. I'll do it." UlforceVeedramon said.
"Okay." Ray said getting close to Master Fu, grabbing the box and tossing it to him. "Just try and keep it on you. Don't relax for a second."
"Just leave it to me." UlforceVeedramon said. He quickly took off down a street as Feast chased after him.
"Okay, that bought us some time." Aria said. "Let's see...it's been boosted by an Akuma and Amok. And it didn't seem like it had pockets so...the object has to be inside that thing."
"Oh boy… That's gonna be quite the surgery job getting it out." David said.
"According to what Master Fu told us, the object he used to create the sentimonster had to be his apprentice's staff." Hope said. "The monster probably ate that too."
"And likely the object we need to destroy." Aria said.
"Got it all. It's gonna be a bit heart-wrenching, but if that's what it takes… We'll have to get it out." UlforceVeedramon said.
"Are you nuts? We already lost our Ulforce! We can't afford to lose you too!" Magnamon said.
"I know… I'm from another dimension. But i have to do this. For you guys… for the Digital World and Earth…" He said, breaking and staring at Feast. "And Rina!" he yelled, charging right at Feast, whose mouth was wide open.
"Veevee!" Ajna said.
"It seems like a ludicrous idea, but… He knows what he's doing." Leopardmon said.
"For your sake, and the sake of everyone he just said… I hope so." David said. "This is gonna be a pretty messy job, Veevee. Can you manage it?"
"Yes!" Veevee said. "Hey, big guy! You still hungry? Here comes your dinner!" he said flying right into the monsters mouth before finding himself in a strange space where all the objects Feast ate sealed inside bubbles. "Whoa… This place is like its own dimension. Gotta focus. Need to find that staff." he said, flying around before seeing an old staff. "Of course it had to be intact. Otherwise the monster would disappear." he said grabbing it. "Now it will." he said breaking it in half.
On the outside as Feast had the others cornered, it soon stopped with puffed cheeks before bursting into multiple bubbles as UlforceVeedramon stood there with the broken staff as the Amok and Akuma flew out with Ladybug quickly purifying them.
"Ugh… That was a real inside job. Literally." UlforceVeedramon said.
"Thank you, all of you." Master Fu said. "Because of you all, I won't have to run anymore."
"It was our pleasure." Hope said.
The next day…
"In shocking news, a tibetian temple with the people who had disappeared at least over 172 years ago had suddenly appeared out of nowhere and look as if no time had passed for them." Nadja said as a familiar symbol was shown on it.
"So...my mistake has been undone." Master Fu said packing some of his things. "The monks have been freed and the temple has been restored. I cannot thank you all enough. I am now free of my burden. I will see them someday soon and explain everything."
"I understand. But...do you really need to move out and across Paris?" Kirito asked.
"I must. Hawk Moth and his allies now know what I look like. I cannot stay here. I must be on the move to avoid their detection." Master Fu said.
"I agree with that notion. Better to stay on the move and keep yourself and the Miraculouses hidden." Hope said.
"Speaking of which, whatever happened to those two thieves who had attempted to take the Miraculous in all the chaos?" Master Fu asked.
"Not sure. They just suddenly left after the chaos." Lan said. "Hmm...though with the temple back, Mach could have shifted his target."
A few days later, somewhere in Tibet…
"Wow...this was easier than I thought." Mach said jumping out of a window in the east with a box. "I only need to steal one. That should please the boss."
From a door in the west emerged Ray with another box. "This is another score for the Lost Thieves as we rise in notoriety." he said.
Back at the mansion…
"We may have failed but our appetite has grown even more ravenous for the box here." Techno said.
"We know what he looks like now. He can run, but he will never hide from us." Cell said.
"Yes. Seems while we did fail, things are slowly beginning to shift our way." Techno said.
