Tegan felt fantastic again after the previous night's treatment and a great night's sleep. Lindsey was tired and moody after being up most of the night worrying. Tegan walked back into the room with a spring in her step after letting Sara and Kate out. "Time to resume where we left off last night" she grinned and pulled her shirt off and crawled into bed next to Lindsey seductively. She started kissing every inch of her face. "Ohh you're one hot mamma" said Tegan. Lindsey turned her face away from Tegan and tears started rolling down her face. "Baby? What's wrong?" said Tegan. A few minutes later Lindsey got up. "I'm going to take a shower" she said. "Do you want me to come with you?" said Tegan seductively. Lindsey was quiet inside and Tegan opened the door. "Just give me a few minutes to calm down... I just need a bit of alone time Tee" she said not looking at Tegan. "Okay... call me when you need me sweet pea... I love you" said Tegan bracing herself for another pillow missile. "I'm sorry Tegan... I love you too" said Lindsey softly. Tegan walked up to her carefully. "Some space please baby" said Lindsey.
Tegan took some clothes out of the cupboard and left. She got dressed in the spare room, brushed her teeth and took a walk outside and sat down next to the pool with her feet in the water sipping her tea. Alex joined her a few minutes later. "Hey, whatcha doing?" he asked. "Nothing... getting out of the war zone" said Tegan. "Well that makes two of us" said Alex sitting down next to Tegan. "One moment she can't keep her hands off me and the next I'm enemy number one" said Tegan. "Yup... I know the feeling... Pregnancy hormones" said Alex. "Crazy shit" laughed Tegan. "You okay by the way? Kate tells me you weren't feeling well last night" said Alex. "Yeah I'm good... All back to normal this morning... and now that I'm back to normal Lindsey is like a pregnant nutcase" said Tegan.
"So you've also been kicked out of the room?" asked Alex. "Uh huh... and I swear I didn't even do anything wrong" said Tegan. "Or maybe I did... I dared call her gorgeous and I wanted to have sex" she shrugged. "Erin freaked out because I promised I'd get her some peanut butter cups and I forgot... and then, to cover my ass I told her that they're only candy and maybe it's best she doesn't have them anyway... and that's when she threw me with a shoe" laughed Alex. "Oooh... dude no... you never, ever keep a pregnant women's candy from her and you definitely never tell a woman... pregnant or not... that maybe she shouldn't have said candy... have I not taught you anything" laughed Tegan. "Well what do you know anyway? You're out here with me" laughed Alex. "Yeah I am" said Tegan. "Meh... they'll get over it. But we need to do something spectacular to get our shares back up bud" said Alex. "Ya think?" said Tegan sarcastically. "I think I'm buying a bucket full of candy and a hundred roses" said Alex. "Good luck with that" said Tegan. "What... you think it won't work?" said Alex. "Dude... if I knew what would make a pregnant woman happy I wouldn't be out here right now would I?" said Tegan and laughed. "Women" said Alex shaking his head. "Yeah... women" repeated Tegan. "You're one of them!" said Alex. "Okay okay... pregnant women" sighed Tegan and laughed. "Well... I'm glad to have someone in the dog box with me!" laughed Alex.
After two hours of cool down time Tegan stood outside the bedroom window with her guitar over her shoulder. "Damn this better work" she mumbled. She knocked on the window a few times and waited but got no reply. She knocked again. Lindsey yanked the curtain open and stood with her arms crossed over her stomach. Tegan fumbled around for a second looking flustered and started singing while strumming her guitar "Havin' my babies... What a lovely way of sayin' how much you love me... Havin' my babies... Tegan gave Lindsey an amazing foot massage and fed her her favourite cheesecake from a Deli in Hollywood on the patio. "Thank you sweetie... I love you. You're the best" said Lindsey. "You're welcome beautiful. Here's some vouchers for more" smiled Tegan and handed her a spiral notebook with "Lindsey's voucher book" written on the front. Something was written on every page in colorful pens with funny pictures next to it. "This voucher entitles you to a 30 minute back massage... this voucher entitles you to breakfast in bed... this voucher entitles you to 10 nappy changes... this voucher entitles you to a freak-out" Tegan had everything in there, baby vomit cleaning, foot rubs, bitching sessions, dinners, kisses and the entire last quarter of the book was just sex "vouchers"... sex on every page. "This is the most awesome thing ever... I better start using these sex vouchers because I have a feeling they're going to expire when the kids get here" said Lindsey laughing. "Yeah... and they did say you should get going with that as soon as possible so I think we should do that straight away" grinned Tegan.
Tegan led Lindsey into the bedroom by the hand. She gently removed Lindsey's shirt and bra. "Make yourself comfortable" she said softly and put some nipple cream on her fingers. "Oh no Tegan... get your ass up there now" said Sara annoyed pushing the door open. "Sara... please... give me ten minutes" said Tegan. "No... get your stuff we're going" said Sara. "I'll be there in ten minutes" said Tegan. Sara pulled her hand. "Fuck the fuck off Sara" said Tegan glaring at Sara. "I guess you're not as committed to this as I thought you were" said Sara. Tegan's shoulders slumped and she looked down. "Sara... I'm very committed to this... I promise I am... but I'm more committed to my marriage right now... please Sar... ten minutes" she whispered. "Okay... ten minutes Tegan... ten minutes... tick tock" said Sara.
Tegan closed the door in Sara's face and jogged back to the bedroom. "Where were we" she grinned seductively and started kissing Lindsey's neck again. "Tee did you run up here?" asked Sara concerned. "Yeah... I had to or I'd be late" said Tegan. "You were late anyway... Tegan I don't think you should have ran up here... you're out of breath" said Sara. "Fuck Sara what do you want from me? I'm doing the best I can okay" shouted Tegan. Sara put her hands on her head and turned away. "I'm fetching you some socks... you take a moment to calm down. I really don't want a repeat of last night" said Sara.
Tegan sighed and took a few deep breaths as Sara left. A few minutes later Sara returned with some socks. Kate was short on her heels with her bag. "Oh great... tattle tale" said Tegan and rolled her eyes. Kate put her stethoscope in her ears. "Shut up and breathe in and out please" said Kate. "Happy? Everything's fine" said Tegan annoyed. Kate just shook her head. "Yeah, but I think I'll just stay and keep an eye on you" she said. "Thanks for organising a babysitter Sar" said Tegan. "Tegan... don't try me... get your guitar, we've already lost an entire morning" said Sara. Tegan looked down. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry I was late and I'm sorry for whatever I did wrong... not wearing shoes and shit" said Tegan. "Apology accepted... can we get going please" said Sara looking the other way. "Everybody is in such a fucked up mood today" mumbled Tegan pulling her guitar strap over her head. "Yeah well none of us really got much sleep last night you know" snapped Sara. "I didn't ask you to babysit me Sara" said Tegan throwing her hands in the air.
Sara glared at Tegan and started playing 'I bet it stung'.

Sara lost herself in the song and really rocked out. Tegan just stared at her. "You feel better now?" she said softly when Sara was done. "I do actually" said Sara. "Tegan... I'm sorry for being hard on you... I just want this show to be a success... we have a lot riding on it you know" she said shaking her head. "I know... It won't happen again" said Tegan.
