Chapter 10

Hogsmeade Part 2

"Where ya running, Hallow?"

Cold shivers ran down my spine. I slowly turned around facing the person calling out for me.

"Malfoy," My voice came out less venomous than I had intended for it to, " What do you want?"

"Not very friendly. Something wrong?" He chuckled.

"I said, what do you want?" I glared at Draco.

"Even your little friends don't want to hang out with you? Pathetic." Draco teased.

"Leave my friends out of this! Besides, they didn't leave me, we split up." I sighed.

"Yeah? Is that why Chang and Jett are at Honeydukes together, right now?" The blonde smirked, a glint of mischief in his eyes. It was almost like he had a plan.

"What? They shouldn't be together. We agreed to split up!" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Well, why don't you go see for yourself?" He suggested.

"Wait, why should I believe you?" I crossed my arms.

Draco scoffed, turned on his heel and walked away, with Crabbe and Goyle right behind him.

I sighed and decided to just head back to Hogwarts. "This wasn't my idea," I muttered to myself, "I didn't want to be here, I'm going back. Besides, if Cho and Henry are really together right now, they won't care."

The whole way back, I was humming a lonely tune. I just wanted to shut out the world and be alone. Meeting Draco just pushed my buttons right now.

When I got back to Hogwarts, I went straight to the Astronomy tower. Today was not my day, so I wanted to be where I'm most comfortable.

The walk up the stairs felt longer than usual, but I didn't really care.

As I got closer to the top, I felt the wind run through my hair.

The stairs soon lead me to my favourite spot in the castle. But I wasn't there alone.

"Beautiful day, isn't it, miss Hallow?" Dumbledore asked, without even looking at me.

"Beautiful indeed, professor." I replied. In my mind I was questioning how Dumbledore knew it was me, without looking at me.

"Weren't you supposed to be at Hogsmeade with your friends?" The headmaster asked another question, his back still turned to me.

"Yeah, I was," I sighed and walked towards the old wizard in front of me.

"So what brings you here?" The wise man finally turned to me.

"I just needed to clear my mind," I smiled sadly.

"Alright, then I'll leave you to it. Goodbye, miss Hallow!" Dumbledore nodded his head.

"Goodbye, professor!" I bowed a tad bit.

Dumbledore left as another gush of wind ran through the Astronomy tower.

I walked to lean on the railing. My mind started racing immediately. From my friends to Hogsmeade, from Hogsmeade to Draco. Damn, that boy just couldn't get out of my head. He really did have a way of getting what he wanted.

The wind was slowly getting stronger.

But that wind was only the calm before the storm.
