Chapter 147

Everybody had a relaxed afternoon at Tegan's house. Tegan was pretty much glued to the couch. Alex, Jeremy, Sara and Kate offered to do the cleaning up after lunch. Tegan lay with her head next to Lindsey's large belly and her feet on her dad's lap. Lindsey played with her hair. "Wow... we have a movie star doing our dishes Boo" laughed Tegan. "He can do any role you know. Look at him... he's in character" winked Erin. Alex flicked Erin's bum with the drying towel and pulled her closer for a quick kiss. Tegan was quite reserved compared to the previous night, she was tired and her body ached after the violent asthma attack that morning. Her neck and shoulder muscles felt on fire and her rib muscles didn't feel much better. "Hey Tee... I think it would be a good idea to get the physio over tomorrow, and maybe take a nice hot bath tonight. I'll give you a muscle relaxant / anti-inflammatory combo before bedtime too, that should help you feel a lot better in the morning" said Kate. "Thanks, I'm pretty sore. I'll call Jane tomorrow" said Tegan. "I'm so unfit, I'm actually stiff after last night. Can I have a massage too" laughed Sara. "Physio is not a joke Sara... It's not like a massage, it usually hurts like hell. Not much fun, but it does work. Go for it" said Tegan. "I'll give you a massage baby" smiled Kate.

"Thought you're going running with me tomorrow, that should get rid of your stiffness" said Kate with her arms around Sara's waist. "I don't think you're going running tomorrow babe" said Sara laughing pointing at Kate's injuries. "Don't be silly, It's just a few scratches" said Kate. "We need to go guys... I really don't want to though" said Stephen. "Nooo... stay" said Tegan and made a sad face. "Next time sweetie" said Stephen and kissed Tegan goodbye on her cheek. "Yeah next time you see us you'll see your grandkids too" smiled Tegan. "Can't wait! The guys at work are already sick of all the baby talk... can you imagine when I have photos to show off" said Stephen. "Well, women love it. Total chick magnet" winked Erin. "I'll remember that" said Stephen. "Okay guys let's go we're late as it is" said Sara. "You don't have to take us Sar, one of the security guys can" said Bruce. "I'll go" said Jeremy. "No Jer... you're not on duty today. Kate and I want to go" smiled Sara.

After saying goodbye to Stephen and Bruce Tegan nodded away almost immediately on the couch. "Poor baby" said Lindsey running her fingers up and down Tegan's back. "She's so exhausted" said Sonia. "Erin, remind me, how far along are you?" asked Sonia. "Twenty-two weeks" said Erin. "Oh of course, almost ten behind Lindsey. That should be easy to remember. I'm getting grandma brain already" joked Sonia. "Yeah and you're not even half my size" complained Lindsey. "Well I only have to house one" said Erin. The guys were having fun in the pool shouting as they played some sort of ball game. "Boys... I'm going to tell them to turn the volume down. Tegan's sleeping" said Erin. "No, don't... she's probably sleeping better with the noise than without" said Lindsey.

After Tegan woke up Alex, Erin, Jeremy and Ted said their goodbyes and headed home. Jeremy and Ted were happily sharing the poolhouse for a couple of days before they were due to head back to Canada. Tegan plonked back down on the couch and yawned as Kate and Sara got back from the airport. "Hey Teebag... got you a gift" smiled Kate and handed Tegan a gift bag. "Cool... what did I do to deserve a gift?" said Tegan. "Open it" said Sara. Tegan put her hand inside the bag and smiled a sarcastic smile. "Oh ha ha guys... very funny" she said pulling out an inhaler. Then another one, and another one, and another one. Everyone laughed. The inhalers just kept coming. "Well this is handy" she said. Sara packed them out in a row. "Ten little soldiers... one for next to your bed. One for your pocket, one for your bag, one for Lindsey's bag, one for the car, one for our house, one for the kitchen, one for the living room, one for Erin's house, one for the bathroom... Oh hang on here's two more – we'll call these spares. An even dozen" laughed Sara. Tegan smiled and shook her head. "Thanks guys... I need this" she said. "There's something else in there" said Kate. "Oh what's this one?" said Tegan taking out a weird looking inhaler. "Some new meds. Hopefully it will prevent this kind of thing happening in the first place. Two puffs in the morning, two in the evening. This stuff is new on the market and it's been getting rave reviews" said Kate. "And then... oh... Swiss chocolate?" said Tegan. "Sometimes when you have a shitty day you just need some chocolate" said Sara shrugging. "I didn't have a shitty day... well I had a shitty morning, but a great afternoon" said Tegan.

"Thanks guys... your little gag gift is actually quite handy" said Tegan. "It's not a gag gift, it was either a dozen inhalers or us gluing the thing to your hand permanently" said Sara. "I'm sorry for scaring you guys" said Tegan. "Tee... nobody blames you for what happened this morning. We should have made sure we left the inhaler where you could find it last night" said Lindsey. "No... I need to take responsibility for the fucking thing... at all times. I promise it won't happen again" said Tegan. "Okay... let's drop it now... I think we've all learned our lesson" said Kate.

"Hey Tee... sing your new song for us" said Sara. "I don't think so, maybe tomorrow" smiled Tegan. "Please, it's just so amazing and I can't believe I've only heard it once" said Sara. "I'll record it on my phone for you one day" joked Tegan. "I hope you're really going to record it, in the studio I mean. It's amazing Tee" said Sara. "Thanks Sara... I appreciate you saying that. It was one of the more difficult songs I've ever written" smiled Tegan. "So... no playing tonight?" said Sara. Tegan shook her head. "Emotionally, I'm feeling a bit fragile today Sara. Next time, I promise" said Tegan. "Okay okay, I understand, but I really do want to hear it agin" said Sara. "And you will" said Tegan.

"You guys want to stay and watch the Emmy's with us?" asked Tegan. "Sure... Haven't watched much TV in the last few months but I've got lots of time to catch up now" said Sara. "Unless... sorry Katy... do you want to go home? You must be feeling pretty grotty yourself" said Sara. "I'd love to stay... only if there's popcorn" said Kate. "There's popcorn and chocolate" said Tegan. "I'm in" said Kate. "Speaking of Emmy's... I spoke to our Emy earlier. Apparently she had a great day out with Nancy. Looks as if those two are really hitting it off" said Tegan. Sara smiled. "I'm glad... hope it lasts. Those two are both great people. They make a good couple" she said and sat down next to Kate. Kate just smiled at her and put her arm around her shoulder. Tegan, Lindsey and Sara all barely made it through the first thirty minutes of the show and were all knocked out cold. Kate and Sonia looked at each other and smiled. "Should we give it up and get this lot to bed?" asked Kate. "I think so, you look pretty tired yourself" said Sonia and smiled. Kate got up and flinched. "Ouch". Sara woke up. "You okay Katy?" she said groggily. "Yeah, my knees are just bruised and stiff" laughed Kate.

Tegan groggily followed Lindsey to their room after being woken up by her mom. "You have everything you need mom?" asked Tegan. "I sure do honey. Sleep in tomorrow morning. I know where everything is and I have a ton of work to do in the next few days. So please, no need to get up before four pm" laughed Sonia. "Teegs... sorry, I know you're tired but... let's just check how those lungs are doing before you go to bed and then I'll give you some meds for those sore muscles" said Kate. "Oh... okay. Glad my doctor is my friend... what would I have done without you" said Tegan, tame as a kitten compared to that morning. "Well... You probably would have had to spend the night in the hospital" said Kate. "Phew, thanks for the get out of jail free card" joked Tegan.

Tegan sat down wordlessly on the bed as Lindsey went into the bathroom to get ready for bed. Kate sat down next to her and listened to her heart and then her lungs. "Okay, there we go. Nice deep breaths, you know the drill" said Kate and smiled. "Hmmm, sounds a bit tighter than usual but that's to be expected" said Kate and put the pulse ox on Tegan's finger and a lung function meter to her mouth. "Blow into this" she instructed. Tegan obliged. "Lungs are okay, not awesome but completely acceptable. They're a bit traumatised after this morning. How are you feeling?" asked Kate. "Honestly... like crap. I'm kinda traumatised myself... Can't keep my eyes open... Got this achy feeling all over. My shoulders and neck are killin' me" complained Tegan. "Yeah well, you strained those muscles big time this morning" said Kate rubbing Tegan's shoulder. "Even my abs are sore, my ribs too" said Tegan. "Uh huh... would be" said Kate. "Guess I'm not invincible after all" said Tegan softly staring out in front of her. Kate looked taken aback.

"Did you and Sara have a conversation about this?" asked Kate. "No... why?" asked Tegan. "Nothing... it's just weird, she talked about you guys feeling invincible this morning" said Kate. Tegan grinned. "Ha... Twiiiins" she laughed. "Pulse ox looking okay, a little on the low side. BPs normal, Temp..." said Kate putting the digital thermometer in Tegan's ear. "Oh... temps a little high, 100.5. Looks as if you have a low grade fever" said Kate putting her hand on Tegan's forehead just as Lindsey walked back into the room. "What's going on?" she asked. Tegan stayed quiet and waited for Kate to answer.

"Everything's okay... Tee's got a low grade fever though but that's probably just a bit of inflammation due to that attack this morning. The meds should bring that right down. Okay Tee... I'm going to have to give you an injection. I know you don't want a drip again" said Kate. "I'll do whatever you want me to, strictly following doctor's orders from now on" said Tegan laughing. "Okay... you take two puffs of this so long. Hold your breath for a couple of seconds after each puff so the meds have time to work" said Kate as she gloved up and prepared an injection. "Tegan... I want to warn you, there's a higher than normal chance of you having an attack during the night. Simply an aftershock from this morning. I'm not saying you definitely will, but just be prepared in case" said Kate. Tegan's breathing sped up. "No please... please Katy I don't want to go through that again... make it stop" said Tegan close to tears. "Hey, calm down, you're going to be fine, if it does happen you're got one of your dozen inhalers right here" said Kate.

Kate felt Tegan's pulse giving her anxiety away as it increased under her fingers as she held her wrist. "Do you want me to stay tonight? It's not a problem? I think you're going to be just fine but I'll also sleep better if I'm close" said Kate. "No... go home... I don't want to inconvenience you" said Tegan secretly so scared, wishing Kate would stay. "You're not... I'm happy to stay. In fact Sara and I went by our house earlier to pack an overnight bag just in case" smiled Kate. "Please stay! We have a really great sleeper couch in the playroom. The best one we could find. It's super fancy" said Lindsey. "Sounds great" smiled Kate. "Thanks... I really would feel so much better with you here... Tee? Just for tonight baby?" said Lindsey. "Okay... Thank you... it's just... I mean this morning was really scary" said Tegan getting emotional. "Of course, I'll be two doors away. We've got the nebuliser back if we need it, everything's going to be okay just relax now" said Kate. "Sara's staying too right" she said fast. "Of course she is" said Kate.

Tegan closed her eyes and looked dejected. "Hey... you're fine Tee... just a precaution. Calm down now... anxiety isn't really conducive to keeping these attacks under control" smiled Kate. Tegan nodded. "Okay... get up and bend on over" said Kate. "In the bum?" complained Tegan. "Injections to the buttocks reach the bloodstream quickly due to the large amount of muscular tissue and corresponding blood supply. These little arm muscles need to bulk up a bit before we can use them. Trust me, bum's the best spot" said Kate. "Fuck it" mumbled Tegan under her breath. Tegan bent over and pulled her pants down half way. She clutched the duvet with her fists. Kate quickly cleaned a spot with an alcohol pad. Sara walked into the room doing something on her cell phone. She glanced up and looked mock horrified. "My eeeyes, my eeeyes" she yelled jokingly with her hands in front of her eyes and left the room. "Sorry" she screamed down the hall. "Asshole!" shouted Tegan. "No, I just saw the cheek" joked Sara. Tegan shook with laughter. "Ouuuuch" she yelled as she felt the injection hit her bum and go into her muscle. "Stay still. I'll push it slowly so it won't burn so much" said Kate. Tegan bit on her teeth. "Mother fucker" she breathed. "Oh come on it's not that bad" said Kate laughing. "It is! Jeez it stings" complained Tegan rubbing her bum after the shot. "Hang on let me put a plaster on" said Kate. "Look at that cute bum... love it" joked Lindsey and leaned forward to kiss Tegan.

After a luke warm bath Tegan lay in bed holding Lindsey in her arms. Kate checked her temperature again and it was down slightly as the meds started to kick in. "Get some rest. Call me if you need me. Sweet dreams" said Kate and left. "I was so scared this morning... so, so scared" said Lindsey softly. "Yeah me too... I really did think I was dying" said Tegan. "I'm happy you're okay sweetheart. Don't do that to me again. Tomorrow we have nothing to do and nowhere to be for a change!" said Lindsey. "For a change yes. Oh hang on... physio... then Tuesday we have Lamaze class and we have your check up and Wednesday... ugh... that interview. My life is one massive emotional roller-coaster" said Tegan sighing. "Tegan you don't have to do the interview if you don't want to" said Lindsey. "I know... but we thought this through pretty well and I think... It's probably best if we do it... as much as I dread it" said Tegan. "Don't worry about it... We're so having a pyjama day tomorrow" said Lindsey. "Cool... I'm exhausted" laughed Tegan and closed her eyes. She stayed quiet for a minute. "Linds" she whispered. "You're my favourite person in the world... Goodnight... I love you" said Tegan softly. "Ditto except... I love you more" said Lindsey.

Sara and Sonia made the bed in the kids' playroom and Sara was already lying in bed reading when Kate joined her. "Everything okay?" asked Sara. "Yeah, hopefully she'll feel much better in the morning" said Kate. Kate sat down next to Sara and looked at her phone. "Ha... Tegan's going to kill you when she sees this" laughed Kate looking at an Instagram picture of Tegan sleeping on the couch with her mouth hanging open with the title 'Post show snooze'. "She shouldn't have left me in charge of the social media then" joked Tegan. "She didn't really leave you in charge Sara, she was critically ill" said Kate laughing. "Yeah but she's not right now... and she's not posting much so I guess I have to. She can just be glad I didn't post a pic of her bum" said Sara winking. "I wonder if she's going to post pics of the babies" said Kate. "Hmmm... difficult to say. I have a feeling she's so going to want to show off but she's also going to want to shield them from any publicity" said Sara. "You know the fans are going to freak out if they don't get to see what these kids look like" said Kate. "Yup, It's going to be mayhem anyway. Can't wait for these babies" said Sara. "Me too" said Kate and pulled up her knees to inspect the damage.

"Ahhh baby, so bruised... we should have given you a hello kitty plaster for your boo boos" said Sara looking at the two large bruises on Kate's knees. Kate made a puppy dog face. "Yeah it hurts... Kitty would have made it better" she sulked. "Big baby" joked Sara and kissed Kate. "Ahhh, fuck hello Kitty... this is much better" laughed Kate kissing the nape of Sara's neck. "Nurse Sara to the rescue" winked Sara. Kate smiled "I'm sooo tired, let's get some sleep" said Kate and looked around with the light switch in her hand. "I don't know how I feel about this?" she joked. "Why?" asked Sara. "Those soft toys are looking at me... it's like Chucky" joked Kate. "I'll protect you" said Sara and kissed Kate. Kate switched the light off and put her arms behind her head. Sara took a friendly looking teddy bear from the floor and mock walked it up to Kate's chest. "Helloo Katy... will you play with me, I have some knives" she mocked. "Oh hey Ted... I have so many scalpels let's go" joked Kate and chucked the bear down on the ground.

"Silly" she whispered into Sara's ear and kissed her passionately, her hand slowly made its way up under Sara's shirt to her breasts. "Ooooo this is the best kind of playing this room will ever see" joked Sara under Kate's kisses. "Stop it... now I keep picturing kids watching me" laughed Kate and fell back down on her pillow. "Don't stop" whispered Sara. "Next time... your mom's going to hear us... and the toys... and imaginary kids are watching us" joked Kate. "Okay then, but I want a rain check... tomorrow I want a whole day set aside for... for love... business" said Sara folding her arms playfully. "You got it... haven't even had a chance to bang you yet after that amazing show and I'm so, sooo hot for you Sara... You make my heart race, you take my breath away. My core aches for you. I can't wait to fuck you silly tomorrow. Brace yourself... Get some rest and build up your strength" breathed Kate sexily into Sara's ear. "Oh fuck... you know how I love it when you talk dirty to me and now I have to wait until tomorrow! You've got to be shitting me" complained Sara. "Sorry hot stuff" joked Kate and held Sara in her arms.

"Hey Sar..." said Kate softly. "Yes baby" said Sara. "I was thinking... maybe... um... I was thinking we could do a self-defence class" said Kate in the dark holding Sara's hand. "A self-defence class?" asked Sara. "Yeah... I just... I think I would be good if we can both defend ourselves. It will be fun, something we can do together" said Kate. "Yeah fun to learn how to punch someone" said Sara sarcastically. "Sara... We need to be able to defend ourselves" said Kate. "Okay... I agree but..." said Sara sitting up. "No buts... I'm going to take control of my fear... and part of that fear is somebody hurting you. And I can't be with you 24/7. I know it's irrational but... " said Kate. "Even if you are with me... that didn't help much last time" joked Sara. "Ha ha" said Kate looking away. "Kate I..." said Sara before being cut off. "I'm sorry if I seem clingy I just... I just want you safe" said Kate. "I understand and I get that. Sweetheart, nobody is going to hurt us again" said Sara softly. "I know... because I'm going kick their fucking asses into next Tuesday if they do" said Kate indignantly. Sara laughed. "My hero" she whispered. "Maybe Tegan and Erin can come too" said Kate. "Tegan and Erin are so busy with baby stuff they're not going to go to self-defence class" said Sara. "I think Erin might... she's not over... it... she's just a bloody good actress" said Kate. Sara nodded. "Let's discuss it tomorrow babe, get some rest" said Sara and kissed Kate's soft lips.

Tegan woke up in the middle of the night. Her breaths came in the form of short, sharp gasps. She sat up fast looking panicked. Lindsey woke up startled and without even asking if Tegan was okay screamed at the top of her lungs; "Kate! Help! Kate!". Tegan patted her hand around the night stand and found her inhaler pretty fast. "There you go baby... just take a puff. You're okay" said Lindsey. She helped Tegan shake the inhaler and put it to her mouth. Kate burst into the room followed by Sara and Sonia. "There we go Tee. Sit up. Hold your breath so the meds can work... there we go another puff" Kate guided her. Tegan seemed to be breathing better again, the medication having an almost instant effect. "You're okay. Another puff please. Sara can you grab my bag" asked Kate calmly. "Sweetie just take slow deep breaths" said Lindsey. Tegan nodded. "I'm okay, no problem" said Tegan.

Kate put her stethoscope on Tegan's chest. "Okay... there we go, airways opening up nicely after that third puff" said Kate. Lindsey looked horrified. Kate put the pulse ox on Tegan's finger. "Jeez I'm okay... just chill. I just needed a puff or two, it's not a big deal. Calm down guys. This isn't really anything out of the ordinary" said Tegan still slightly out of breath. "Sats are looking okay... you're right, you're doing great. I don't think you need the nebuliser, you feel okay?" asked Kate. "Yeah I'm fine thanks" said Tegan. Tegan lay back against the pillows that Sara just put behind her. She looked straight at her mom who had tears rolling down her cheeks. She closed her eyes. Plump tears burst through her own eyelids. "Mom... come here" said Tegan looking sad. "Okay sweetie, mommy's here" said Sonia sitting down next to Tegan taking her hand in both of hers. Tegan sat back up and took her mom in her arms. "I'm okay mom" she whispered. "I know... You're going to be a mom soon and you'll understand the absolute gut wrenching terror you go through when your child is in danger or hurting" said Sonia. "I understand mom... but I don't want you to worry, I'm fine, I promise" said Tegan. "Yeah you are, you're just fine sweetie" said Sonia.

"Okay show's over" said Tegan and lay back down. "Sorry for waking everyone... Linds just yelled automatically" said Tegan. "I would rather have a false alarm than have your life in danger because we didn't do something fast enough" said Lindsey. "I know... sorry Boo I didn't mean to sound ungrateful or anything" said Tegan. "One last listen" said Kate and listened to Tegan's lungs again. "Good job. You're fine" smiled Kate and packed her stuff away. "Well in that case... goodnight... again" said Sara yawning. "Night Sar... sorry for waking you" said Tegan. "No problem, that's why we're here" smiled Sara.

An hour later Tegan still wasn't asleep again, the adrenaline slowly leaving her body. Lindsey was tossing and turning next to her. "Baby... you okay?" asked Lindsey. "Yeah... just trying to calm myself down after all that. Babies seem to be awake too" said Lindsey. Tegan sat up. "Tee, you need your puffer?" asked Lindsey fast. "No... relax honey, I'm fine!" said Tegan leaning over for a kiss. She pulled Lindsey's shirt up and ran her hands over her belly. "Hey kids... it's mom" she said softly. She planted a soft kiss on Lindsey's belly. "Just a few more weeks before your birthday!" joked Tegan. "Can't wait to finally see you and hold you... you're getting so big but you have a bit of growing to do still... we love you so much" smiled Tegan putting her head on Lindsey's belly. She started humming softly. She felt the movement in Lindsey's belly grow and then settle down as she continued softly humming. She felt Lindsey's breathing slow down indicating that she had nodded off. Tegan smiled and kissed her wife's belly before laying back down.

Tegan woke up around 9.30 and stretched. Lindsey wasn't there. These days she struggled to sleep late. Tegan got up and put her super fluffy dressing gown and slippers on before heading for the kitchen. "Morning guys" she smiled. Everybody else was showered and fully dressed. "What... did you guys wet the bed or something... why are you up so early?" asked Tegan. "We're not up early... you're up late" said Sara. "Hmmm – couldn't sleep after that nightmare of seeing my butt by accident last night. Sara shook her head and laughed. "Something like that" she said. "Boo why are you dressed? I thought we're having a pyjama day?" said Tegan with a sad face. "Hon... I need to go pick up a few things from the shops real quick. I'll be back before you know it and right back into my PJs okay" said Lindsey. "Oh... Okay... take someone with you" said Tegan. "I'll go with her" smiled Sonia.

"How are you feeling superstar?" asked Kate. "Like new" smiled Tegan. "Still a bit stiff and sore but I'm good to go" said Tegan smiling. Tegan had breakfast with the gang. "Okay honey, we're going to pop out real quick. Sara would you guys mind staying just a little while longer" said Lindsey. "I don't need a babysitter guys... I've got a dozen inhalers remember" said Tegan sitting back rubbing her full belly smiling. "No problem, Tegan and I need to work on a website message anyway" said Sara reading the morning paper. "No rest for the wicked" complained Tegan. "See you soon sweetie" said Lindsey and kissed Tegan's forehead. "I'm going to take a shower" said Tegan.

Lindsey and Sonia got into Lindsey's car and drove to the nearby supermarket. "Good to be leaving the house without security guards" said Lindsey. "Hmm, still freaks me out a bit thinking about this sudden upsurge in their popularity" said Sonia. "They'll probably freak out if they find out we left Jeff at home" said Lindsey. "Nobody's interested in us without them... especially not on a Monday morning" laughed Sonia. "Uh huh" sighed Lindsey.

Sara and Kate was involved in a heavy make out session on Tegan's couch while she was happily singing in the shower. Sara hovered over Kate, her lips lightly brushing her lover's. "I want to go home... I need you now Kate I'm so turned on" said Sara. Kate responded by pulling Sara's head closer to her face and attacking her lips. "Soon" she whispered.

Lindsey and Sonia cheerfully did the weekly shopping. "Oh I should get Tegan some of this carrot juice, she loves it" said Lindsey. "Yes, good for the immune system. You're really good for her Linds... I'm as happy as any mother could be with her choice of wife" smiled Sonia. They picked up some healthy fruit and veggies and some other necessities and was walking back towards the car chatting.

Lindsey and Sonia started loading the shopping bags into the back of Lindsey's car still chatting away. Lindsey stopped suddenly and held onto the car with her eyes closed. "Linds? Are you okay?" asked Sonia. Lindsey balled her cheeks. "Uh... yeah sure. Something just felt... I don't know... weird. Think I'm having some practice contractions again" said Lindsey. "You sure you're okay?" asked Sonia. "Yeah... It's happened before, it's nothing. It's gone now" said Lindsey. "Let's get you home" said Sonia looking concerned. Lindsey sat in the driver's seat with her eyes closed for a minute. "Let me drive" said Sonia. "No I'm fine just give me a minute" said Lindsey. Her face contracted the next second. "Aaaghh" she moaned and breathed fast. "Lindsey I'm not asking anymore, I'm driving" said Sonia getting out of the car. She helped Lindsey out of the drivers seat and into the passenger's seat. "I'm sure it's nothing" said Lindsey. "Probably... just take some deep breaths" said Sonia calmly starting the car.

Tegan walked into the living room and saw her sister and her friend making out on the couch. "Ehhemmm" she said clearing her throat. "Oh hi, that was fast" said Sara sitting up blushing. "Uh... not really... Do you want me to go take another shower" joked Tegan, her hair still damp. "Go home guys I'm fine" said Tegan. "Sure, soon as Mom and Lindsey get back" said Sara. "Let's do that website message in the meantime" said Sara.

"Sonia..." said Lindsey with her eyes closed. "Yes Linds" said Sonia driving. "There's another one... ughh" said Lindsey becoming emotional. "Almost home Linds" said Sonia. She sped down the leafy street to Tegan's home. "Dammit... this needs to subside now" said Lindsey, sweat beads building on her forehead. "Hang in there, we'll get you checked out by Adison" said Sonia as she pulled into Tegan's driveway. Tegan walked outside to greet them and smiled. Lindsey sat in the passenger seat looking pale. Sonia jumped out. "Call Kate" she said. "What... why?" said Tegan suddenly looking panicked.

"Kate" yelled Sonia. "Lindsey... babe what's going on?" asked Tegan opening Lindsey's door. "It's okay Tee... just having some practice contractions" smiled Lindsey. "Oh... um..." mumbled Tegan. She helped Lindsey out of the car. Lindsey stood next to the car collecting herself as Kate and Sara ran outside. She felt something warm run down her legs, wetting her pants. "Tegan... I... I think my water just broke" she whispered.

A/N: *Gasp* - is Lindsey in labour? Review, review!
