Sitting on the beach, Maddie couldn't help but worry about her youngest child. There are so many things that could go wrong. Not to mention, she also didn't trust Sam and Tucker completely. There's no telling what they could do. As if sensing his wife's distress, Jack was quick to be by her side.
"MADDIE, YOU DON'T NEED TO WORRY. OUR DANNY BOY CAN TAKE CARE OF HIMSELF."
"Under normal circumstances I would agree with you. But you saw him, Jack. He was barely coherent, let alone mobile. If something happened-"
"Mom. Stop." Placing a gentle hand on her mother's shoulder, Jazz continued. "He'll be fine. They'll bring him back."
"I don't understand how you can trust these two so much."
"Mom-"
"Because they're my friends." Startled by the new voice, all three present turned and were shocked to see the smiling face of Danny behind them perched on the rock they were currently occupying. Without thinking better of it, Maddie rushed to hug her son, sending them broth sprawled in the shallow ocean water; Danny's tail flapping awkwardly on the semi-dry land. This only made her hug him tighter, however. Rushing to Danny's side, the other two Fentons were quick to join the hug; Jack scooping practically the entire family into his arms. While the hug was awkward because of Danny's inability to stand, thus resulting in the rest of the family having to crouch awkwardly, it was still very pleasant and well-needed. Pulling away, the Fenton family finally got a good look at Danny's tail, it being too dark before to do so.
Looking sharply to her son, she cupped his face in her hands.
"Mom? What is it?" His voice was slightly muffled due to Maddie's hands.
"You're beautiful."
Blushing furiously, Danny couldn't keep all of the whining out of his voice. "Moooomm!"
Chuckling at her family's antics, Jazz sat down not caring that her skirt got wet and the tide, and gave her brother a hug.
"Good to see you, little brother." Smiling, Danny happily returned the hug.
AN:HEY, GUYS! SO, I DID A TINY UPDATE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT YOU WON'T BE HEARING A LOT OF ME FOR A WHILE. MY GRADES ARE DOWN THE TOILET AND I HAVE THIS WEEK AND THIS WEEK ALONE TO MAKE UP ASSIGNMENTS THAT I MISSED BECAUSE OF BEING OVERLOADED. I'LL TRY TO POST A COUPLE OF LITTLE CHAPTERS LIKE THIS IN THE MEANTIME THOUGH. BUT DON'T WORRY! I'LL POST A BIG CHAPTER ONCE THIS IS ALL OVER! AND I'LL ALSO PROBABLY COMBINE ALL THESE LITTLE CHAPTERS INTO ONE :P
