As the ship landed the guys were surprised at what they saw. Several Lubin were surrounding their ship, most of them females with wagging tails and bouncing ears.
As they walked down a few called to them and fluttered their eyes. The poor men flushing at this. Bly hid his face behind a hand, Wolffe tried to look annoyed, and Rex just looked curios. 'Now that's a welcome.' Rex raised a brow.
Dora was at the front of the group with a few warriors, Paladins as they were called on the planet. As she came up, she said "Welcome distinguished guest. I am glad to see you have made it safely." Dora nods.
"Thank you for the welcome Chiefess. Though I was unaware we'd have such a crowed." Obi-wan looked around curious.
Dora chuckled as she said "Well it is the courting season, fall tends to drive the singles crazy." She smirks.
"Hmm I can see why you asked us to come so soon then." Kenobi shook his head.
'Courting season!' The guys looked on wide eyed. They were not expecting this.
"Please fallow me and my guards to the estate. I've had rooms made for them till things calm down." Dora waved for them to fallow, but as they did some females broke through and yelled "Get them!"
At this the boys jumped, give them droids, monsters, sith, anything but this. They ran as they saw the predatory females chase after them.
Kenobi tried to help but Dora stopped him saying "Let them get this out. Your men will need to know how to deal with exuberant Lubin women anyway." She chuckles.
"I suppose your right, and they are more than capable of finding us. Still shouldn't one of your Paladins go after them." Kenobi still looks worried at the forest his men ran into.
"Of course." Dora nods as he looks to a male Paladin and calls "Rook, please track them and bring them back to the estate."
Rook nodded and disappeared into the forest as silently as a shadow.
Meanwhile…..
Wolffe, Rex, and Bly were running through the fall colored forest trying to escape the horde of females that called "Wait come back! I'll give you a message everyday! I can give you the best pups! I'm the best cook in town!"
The only thing that did was make them run faster. Soon they came close to a dried-up ravine, and when they jumped in the girls did as well, looking for them.
"Their gone!" One girl called looking around.
"Track them with your noses!" Another called and they headed off.
After the pack of females had ran off, a pile of leaves and mud moved.
Rex sighed as he said "Thank goodness for survival lessons."
"And that we learned a bit of Lubin anatomy before we got here." Bly rubbed the mud off his face.
"If this is how the rest of the trip is going to be, then I quite now." Wolffe growls.
"It can't be that bad for one month, can it?" Rex looks on afraid the pack of females would return.
"I really hope not." Bly shivers.
Then they heard a gasp. They looked up and their eyes widened, a female Lubin was standing in front of them with a holo camara. She had white fur and hair in a pixy bob cut, olive skin, her marking periwinkle blue, and large brown eyes showing shock.
The guys froze at this, unsure what to do as thye stare at the just in much shock female. Then the unexpected happen. She laughed.
This made them raise a brow. Wolffe growled "What's so funny?"
She pointed and said "You, you guys look so goofy!" at this point she was holding her stomach.
The guys looked at each other and Rex and Bly, well they smiled as they started to laugh. Wolffe just huffed at this but tried to hold in a small smirk. He guessed they did look kind of ridiculous.
Once they all calmed down the female said "You guys need help?"
"Thanks, we just need to get to the estate. Do you know where it is?" Rex said as they all got up and wiped the rubbish off of themselves.
The female looked confused and then "Oh you're the troopers. I didn't notice since you were so covered up, I thought your tails and ears might of just been under all that." She chuckles.
"That, and I guess you couldn't smell us either." Bly flushes.
"That too. I can help you find it, it's pretty easy to find. Do you guys maybe want to get cleaned first or…" She pointed at their muddy suits and the guys looked down.
They couldn't possibly meet the Chiefess like this.
"But where can we get cleaned?" Wolffe frowned.
"I can help with hat." At that a figure with dark gray fur came out.
The female jumped "Rook! Stop sneaking up on people." She glared.
"Chuckle, sorry Sonya. Old habits die hard." Rook smirks.
"More like never go away." Sonya crosses her arms.
'Sonya, that's an interesting name.' Rex raises a brow "You two know each other?"
"We used to go to school together." Sonya explains.
"Now that that's out of the way. Let's get you three to the cabin nearby, it's used by the Paladins as a sort of rest stop for night shifts or long patrols." Rook points the way.
"Thanks." Rex nods as they fallow the two to the cabin.
Once there the guys took turns in the shower. While Rook made a meal and Sonya headed to another room.
"There's no way we can wear these, their destroyed." Wolffe frowned, seeing his deck officer uniform ruined. He was just glad they had decided to wear their blacks under them, at least things wouldn't be awkward with a girl in the cabin.
"I wonder if they have a place so we can wash our stuff." Rex looks curios.
"There's a washer in the back if you need to use one. But maybe it be best if you guys just wore these." They looked over to find Sonya with some cloths for them.
"Thanks. I almost thought we'd have to keep the General and Chiefess waiting." Rex smiled taking them.
"Why do the shirts have hoods though?" Wolffe asks looking at his black long sleeved shirt. Two holes in the hood for the ears he supposed.
"Oh, they help keep Paladins warm. I thought it be a good idea to use them so you can get through town without being hunted down again." Sonya chuckles.
Rex looked at the dark sandy yellow shirt she picked out for him and said "Do you have anything in blue?"
"Don't argue with Sonya on color choice. She's a model." Rook smirks as he walks in with sandwiches.
The two looked at Sonya shocked, the girl wore very comfy cloths that where meant for lying about or going for a walk in the park. Not a walk on the runway.
Sonya saw what they wear looking at and said "I like comfy cloths. I only use nice stuff for my pictures or events."
The two shrug, that made sense they guess.
"And I can get you blue if you want. I just thought it look nice with your hair and eyes." Sonya flushes as she was about to take the shirt but…
"It's okay, cloths are cloths. And what do you mean?" Rex raised a brow.
"Well you have blond hair and amber eyes. I just thought the color would suite you. Kind of like if you had fur, I think this might be your color." Sonya smiles.
Rex never thought on that. He really just wore whatever he was told to wear and 501st blue was a thing of pride for him. Also, 'I never thought of myself with fur. Guess that's something they would think.'
Rex smiled and said "Thanks. It think I'd look good in this color if I did have fur." He smirks.
Sonya looked up, glad he liked what she said.
"Hey Sonya, don't you have to get home? It'll get dark soon and your parents will freak if you're late." Rook comments.
Sonya jumps "Your right they'll send Paladins looking for me. See you around!" She called as she heads off.
Wolffe raised a brow "Is she really a model." He's heard of models before and frpm what he knew they didn't act that way.
"Self-made. She and her mom take the pictures and everything." Rook explains.
"That's explains it. I've only ever seen a model once and she seemed stuck up." Rex frowned remembering the said model coming to 79's just to taunt him and his brothers.
"Well everyone different." Rook shrugs and then said "Now after you wash, eat up and we'll be on our way. Chiefess will be waiting for us."
The two nod and explain what happened to Bly once he come out and give him his cloths. He was thankful for the hoods and was surprised on what they learned on Sonya. He had to admit, he liked the whine red she chose for him.
Once they had dressed up and eaten, they sneaked through town. Rook showing them how best to get through it without being seen, they were immensely thankful for that. Especially with the pack of females still lurking about.
Once at the estate, which was mostly made of wood and decorated with many hanging plants and flowers, they were shown to the dining hall where Dora and Kenobi waited for them with a much larger meal.
They were thankful for this as the sandwiches they had hadn't really filled them. They could go without food for a long time, but they had large appetites.
As they sat down and enjoyed the meal Dora asked "So, how did you escape." She sips some whine.
The guys flushed but as they see the curios look on Kenobi's face, they decided to tell what happened.
Dora smiled saying "May I didn't expect for you all to make a friend so fast. Do you boys think you might want to try and court her?"
The guys almost choke on their food as Rook chuckles. They glare at him but Wolffe said "We've just met her ma'am and didn't exactly have much time to get to know her. I believe it maybe too soon to tell."
"Understandable, but so far a good start I say." Dora smirks.
The guys sweat drop at this, not sure how to take the comment. After dinner they were each given their own room. Which surprised them as they were all used to being in barracks sharing with several other brothers.
As they each took to a bed, they felt themselves unwind. The beds were so soft it was like they were on clouds. Let's just say after they day they had and the comfy beds, it was easy to fall asleep.
