Rex moved quickly, grabbing Sonya out of the ride as they began to run. 'Great time to be without my blasters!' Rex growled, hating to run from the enemy.
"Rex!" Sonya yelled and turned to see her be grabbed.
"Sonya….!" Rex starts but Sonya bites the droids arm and as it fritzes she gets away.
"Rex we need help." Sonya panics.
Rex agrees as he grabs her again and they run while he calls for help. "General this is Rex. We're under attack by commando droids."
"How is that possible?" Kenobi sounded shocked.
"Don't know sir but without blasters there's not much I can do." Rex growls at this.
"Rex get yourself and the others to safety. I'll be there as soon as I can and the Chiefess is calling the Paladins to help." Kenobi replies before hanging up.
As that happens Sonya is panicking to get away but soon feels someone grab her tail. She yelps at this and then growls as her teeth show and hear nails come out "No one grabs me!"
At that Rex felt her hand slip out of his and looked back to grab her but instead his eyes widened when he saw her run on all fours and began to attack the droids head on.
Sonya would use her teeth and claws to either wreck them or make them back off. Her wolf strength helped in overpowering their lighter bodies, her teeth help in tearing off any limbs or weapons, and her Lubin speed helped her avoid attacks.
Rex looked slacked jawed as he thought 'I think I'm in love.' He snapped out of it though when he saw a droid sneaking over to her.
"Keep away from her!" He yelled as he slammed his body into the droid and began to wrestle it to the ground.
Meanwhile….
When the bomb went off it shook the tunnel and Flora jumped "What was that?" as she shook.
"Danger. Come on let's get out of here." Wolffe picks her up, making her flush as he rushes her out of the tunnel.
"But what about the others?" Flora looks back worried.
"I'll go back to help but first you need to get to safety." Wolffe said with determined eyes.
Flora felt her face turned completely red and her heart go a mile a minute at this. His oak like scent stronger than ever before.
With Bly…..
Bly heard the same explosions and looked back "The guys." He glared.
"Go to them, I sense anger and fear." Sage replies.
"What about you?" Bly looked worried.
"I am far from the danger. Go, I know you must help them." She nods as she runs.
Bly nods back and rushes off to help.
STAR WARS
Rook had seen the explosion and got to work as he howled "Get the people out of here, all Paladins come to my position. The visitors are in danger, move, move!"
At that Rook raced in, other Paladins who had been on guard racing along into the tunnel.
Meanwhile….
Rex had been doing well so far, that was till he was pinned up against the wall and was about to be cut down by a blade.
Rex clenched his teeth waiting for the pain, but a howl went out and then Sonya jumped on the droid as she bit her teeth on it's arm and ripped it off.
It stumbled back with her till she ripped the head off and then it fell, Sonya falling on her back.
"Ow." Sonya groaned as she sat up.
Rex rushed up and said "Sonya are you okay?"
"Bruise but alive." Sonya sighs.
Then they heard whirring "Not again?" Rex glares.
Then more commando droids popped out of the shadows and began to incircle them. The two stood back to back, ready to defend themselves when…..
"Stay away from them!" Rook and the other Paladins rushed in using their powers and weapons to attack the droids. It was much easier for them to take them down.
Sonya and Rex still helped where they could but soon got more when Bly and Wolffe rushed in and started helping them fight. Soon the droids were all defeated.
"Where's Flora?" Sonya looked worried.
"I got her out, she's safe." Wolffe called.
"How could this have happened, we should have had something tell us they were here?" Rook growled.
"I may have an idea of what happened." At that they turned to Kenobi who was rushing in.
"I apologize for being late, a few droids decided to attack the estate as well." Kenobi frowns.
"Is the Chiefess okay?" Rook looked worried.
"She is unharmed." Kenobi nods "What about the rest of you?" he looks at his men.
"We're fine sir, but I need to go check on someone." Wolffe looked worried.
"We'll check on them on our way out. Best to stick together for now. What about you, from what I can see you're not a paladin?" Kenobi raised a brow.
"I'm a friend. I'm just slightly bruised." Sonya whimpers as she moves.
A Paladin comes up and starts to heal her wounds. She sighs and thanks them.
Rex flinched, feeling guilty that she was put in that position and then realized something "Why didn't you use your own powers against them? You wouldn't of bean so hurt then." Rex looks worried.
Sonya replied sadly "I don't have any abilities."
The others looked shocked, even Kenobi, all Lubin had at least one force ability. From what they heard, to not have one was unnatural.
Sonya looked away thinking they would act differently towards her but Rex held her shoulder and said "Well you don't need them with the way you fight." He smiles.
Sonya looked up and smiled back at this.
Kenobi thought 'So she's the one.' he smirked as he said "We should get going, Miss Sonya since you were attacked you should come with us for protection. We don't know if there could be more." Kenobi frowns.
Sonya looked worried at this and nodded, not wanting to face anymore droids. At that they headed out and as they did Flora ran into Wolffe, hugging him and yelled "You're okay! I mean you're all okay and um…" she flushed noticing her blunder.
Wolffe just smirked as he said "Yeah we are, what about you?"
"I'm okay." She whispers.
'A second one I see. Master Koon will be please.' Kenobi inwardly chuckled and said "You can connect with us with this. For now, it's best a Paladin takes you home till things calm down." He gives her a com number.
Flora looked sadly at having to go, but nods as a Paladin escorts her home.
Wolffe frowned, uncertain about this but Rook said "They'll keep watch at her place till they know it's safe." Wolffe only relaxed slightly at that.
Sonya felt strange with all the stares directed at them, it felt weird to be looked at. Rex then said "Hey let's go." As he held her shoulder.
She flushed but said "Yeah, it's getting cold." She shivered some as they start heading off. On the way to the estate the two stayed close, Sonya feeling safe close to Rex. Rex feeling somewhat the same with her around.
The brothers smiled as did Rook, seeing the two closer. And Kenobi, well he was pleased that things seemed to be going along.
STAR WARS
When they got to the estate Sonya had to call her family and tell her what happened. Rex said he help and well, he rather be back to fighting droids.
The family was in a panic and were also questioning Rex on several things. Things Rex was not ready to answer. 'Are you interested in my daughter, are you going to take her away, are you serious about this?'
Sonya stopped them at this saying they had just met and were friends, Rex looked hurt and Sonya asked "Or do you want to be more?" Sonya flushes.
Rex looked shocked and said "I want to try." Rex looks on flushing.
At that the family looked surprised, they could see how they felt and decided to let them try this. Though they warned about staying in separate rooms.
Rex nearly fainted and Sonya howled in embarrassment.
Once the call was over Sonya said "Rex, do you really mean it? Do you really want to try this?" Sonya looks over with shaking eyes.
Rex looked shocked, but as he looked into her eyes and remembered all they've been though he said "Why wouldn't I." He smiled.
"Because I'm not force sensitive." Sonya looks away.
Rex looks shocked but he holds her face to make her look at him and she flushes and looks on startled as he says "That doesn't matter to me. And besides, I thought you were hot the way you took down those droids." Rex had a flirty smirk on his face.
A that Sonya had to laugh, tears in her eyes as she finally broke down. Rex held her close and patted her back. Today had been scary, for both of them. A ride of emotions they weren't expecting. And now they knew that they wanted to try this.
Meanwhile….
Wolffe looked out the window of the living room irritated. He was still worried about Flora and if a droid would appear.
Bly looked worried at him but then as Rex and Sonya came in, he smiled and said "How'd it go?"
The two flush and Rex says "We're going to try and see where this goes." Rex flushes.
The two looked over shocked but smile as they congratulate them.
"A couple already, I'm so pleased to hear that." Dora says as Rook and Kenobi fallow.
"Chiefess, it's an honor to meet you." Sonya nods her head.
"I should be saying the same to you. If things go well you might just help our people take the next step." Dora smiles.
Sonya and Rex flush but knew this was part of the deal.
"I suppose you're wondering how the droids got here?" Kenobi frowns.
"Yes." Sonya glares, ready to find out how this happened.
Kenobi sighed "Well, it seems that a male Paladin that is sterile helped the separatist get their droids past Lubin's defenses."
"What!" They all say outrage.
"How could he do this, is this because he can't…" Sonya looked on worried.
"It seems he didn't want the treaty to work so as not to have competition for a mate. He also may not be the only one." Kenobi sighed.
They all flinched, so this happened because of them.
"But he can't deny someone the right to choose their mate. If someone loves him it won't matter to them." Sonya says saddened.
"It seems they don't see it that way. The sterile males see the troopers as competition. We're questioning the suspect now to see if there are others in on this." Rook sighs.
"So, what do we do General?" Wolffe looks on determined.
Kenobi rubs his beard and says "The Chiefess and I will talk to the people and assure them we don't mean to cause any trouble. It's not like our troops will marry the entire papulation of females, just enough to help set up the next generation."
"I cannot believe some would do this, I would never leave my own loveless. I am just trying to help our situation." Dora looked saddened.
"We will find the traitors Chiefess and end this. But for now what do you want to do?" Rook frowns worried for the answer.
"Do you want us to stop courting?" Bly looks worried. He didn't want his brothers to miss thier chance.
"No, I will not do that to you men, you are our guest and I know two have already started relationships. I will not give into fear, so instead I will just have to ask that the Jedi accompany you and ask the republic for help." Dora frowns.
Wolffe wanted to deny that but couldn't force himself to tell the Chiefess she was wrong.
"But Chiefess what about you?" Rook starts.
"I can protect myself." She starts to make things float and the guys looked surprised.
"Kenobi is there another Jedi nearby that can help?" Dora looks serous.
"I believe Master Secura is near and would be more than happy to help as she has just been sent out." Kenobi explains.
Bly's heart jumps at this, 'She's coming here, to Lubin? Does this mean I can finally tell her?'
The brothers looked at each other surprised, what would Bly do?
Before more could be said Dora called "Excellent, call her up. Meanwhile we should all get ready for dinner. Sonya I have some cloth you can barrow for dinner."
"But why would I need to….?" Before Sonya can ask, she's pulled away by Dora.
Rook chuckles as he said "Oh boy she's going to start match making. Better get dressed yourself boys. She'll want to celebrate the new couple." He smirks.
Rex flushes "We're just dating."
"To the Chiefess that's as good as a proposal. I'll be off to contact the Star Corps now. See you all at dinner." With that Kenobi walked off.
Once gone and Rook headed to make his rounds, Wolffe and Rex turned to Bly worried.
Bly looked at his brothers sadly and said "Don't worry about me. I had time to figure this out and I know what I have to do."
The guys looked surprised and worried btu Bly just smiled as he got up and said "Mind telling the General I won't be at dinner. I have a few things to get ready."
The two nodded at that and patted his shoulder as Bly headed to his room. A plan forming in his head on how to tell Secura how he felt about her.
So basically we have the couples planned out. We can guess what Bly will be up too next time but not in the way you think. I have something planned that will hopefully work. And Sonya and Rex are going to have to deal with a lot of attention. Have fun with that.
