Chapter 3

"Emma!" Mary Margaret yelled when she came into the room. "I'm so relieved that you are awake!" She leaned down and hugged me. "We have been so worried about you." She kissed my forehead and stepped aside and let everyone else hug me.

"I will give you some time with your family." Regina stood up and left the room leaving me alone with my parents and Henry.

"So, I hear that I've been out of it for two months. We have flying cars yet?" Everyone laughed. "Thank you for taking care of Henry." I grabbed his hand, holding it close to me. "I need to tell you something mom, actually, I want to tell all of you but I want Regina in here when I tell you, will one of you go get her please?"

Mary Margaret and David left the room to go find Regina, leaving me alone with my son. "So, are you and mom together yet? She does really love you, you know?" he came to the bed and sat next to me, grabbing my hand. "I know you love her too. You know, she hasn't left your side other than to shower; she hasn't been to work in two months. I have been staying with grams and gramps, not that I mind." He smiled. "We've been having fun, grams makes me do my homework, but we have fun."

"What is going on, I thought that you'd want to spend some time together as a family?" I could hear Regina from down the hall. I couldn't stop my smile when I watched her come through the door. Mary Margaret gave me a weird look, like she knew that something was off. I let go of Henry's hand and held it out to Regina, she smiled at me and took my outstretched hand.

I looked around the room, Henry was the only one that didn't look confused. "I don't want to be with Hook, I have never wanted to be with Hook." Mary Margaret opened her mouth to say something but I quickly put up my free hand to stop her from talking. "I have been in love with Regina from the moment I met her, I was only Hook to make the two of you happy." I looked up at the beautiful woman I was holding hands with. "It's time that I think about my own happiness and the happiness of my family."

"But Emma, Regina is a woman." Mary Margaret said, she sounded confused.

"I am quite aware of that fact." I looked at my mother. "Is that going to be a problem?"

"No, it's not going to be a problem, Emma." David finally said something, Mary Margaret looked at him and stormed out of the room. "We almost lost you, I will not lose you because of who you love." He smiled at me. "I just want you to be happy and if you find that happiness with someone that happens to be the same sex as you, so be it." He came over and leaned down, giving me a hug. "I am proud of you for having the courage to come out to us. Don't worry about your mother, I will talk to her." He walked around to Regina, hugging her before he left the room.

"Now, kiss!" Henry laughed as he walked out of the room.

Regina sat on the bed beside me, she looked at me shyly. "Can...can I kiss you, Emma?" I smiled as I sat up to pull her in, I have been waiting for this moment for a long time. The kiss was soft and loving.

"What the hell is going on?!" We jumped apart, like teenagers that just got caught doing something bad. I looked up to see Hook standing in the doorway.
