Open your eyes
Link heard these urgent sounding words as he opened his eyes, letting a soft blue light fill his vision.
He was confused. Why was he lying in this… water? Who was urging him to wake up? Who was he? Link chooses not to think about it too much and pushes himself out of the bed of water.
He takes in the small chamber and immediately spots a glowing blue pedestal near what appears to be a large door.
He stumbles his way over to the pedestal to quench his curiosity. Link notices a strange object lodged in the pedestal and decides to take it. The boy flinches slightly in surprise as the object lights up, as if it were waiting for him. As the light illuminates his face, Link hears the voice again
That is a Sheikah slate. It will guide you after your long slumber.
Link feels as though he recognizes the voice from somewhere, but he cannot remember where. He notices a hint of worry and urgency in her voice. Maybe she was waiting for him? He hangs the newly dubbed "Sheikah slate" on his hip before opening the doors which lead to a narrow passageway.
Link walks through the passageway, bright sunlight shining into his eyes. He runs to the edge of the cliff to take in the amazing view of the mountains and fields.
He spots a mysterious purple being flying around… a castle? Link reminded himself to check that out later.
Suddenly, the boy hears another voice, belonging to an old man standing just down the hill. He motions for Link to come over. Link was starving and the smell of baking apples called for him.
