Morning… it was morning and her head felt nothing but pain. All Reimu could remember was the newcomer saying Yukari was his daughter, thinking that another Yukari had arrived in Gensokyo, Reimu tried to forget everything by drinking directly from Suika's gourd.

"Please, let it be a dream…." Reimu muttered searching for water to drink. 'Please kami let it be a dream, Gensokyo won't be able to handle another Yukari'

"Here water and medicine from Eirin for the hangover" She turned towards the voice, it was him…. Yukari's father….. it wasn't a dream….. damn it. She took the glass of water and the medicine anyway.

"Thanks…."

"You're welcome, let me introduce myself again. I am Watcher" The guy smiled, at least it wasn't like Yukari's schemer smile. "Nice to meet you"

"Hakurei Reimu, nice to meet you too" The medicine was good, it was already working. 'I should ask Eirin for more of these.."

Reimu took a look at her surroundings. Seems like she got knocked out where she was drinking, Marisa was still asleep cuddling with Mima, Shinki was hugging Alice who looked like she died from embarrassment, Aya was tied to a tree with some charms preventing her from moving and the fairies were nowhere to be seen along with the Yakumo family, Yuuka and Satori's group must have gone home too. Sanae was beside her all curled up, her gods nowhere to be see and the two oni on top of her shrine all wasted and Byakuren was with them too…..wait what?!

Watcher looked at the roof of the shrine "Apparently Byakuren is weak against alcohol"

Reimu stood up and cracked her knuckles. It was time to clean her shrine, and there were a lot of helpers available.

The shrine was clean again. Breakfast was served, Reimu appreciated the fact that all the ingredients for the breakfast were provided by Watcher or else she would not have enough to feed more than two people.

The two oni and a very ashamed Byakuren went their separate ways to do their things.

"Now! Watcher-san, can you answer some questions for my newspapers?" Aya asked, her face a little too close to Watcher's.

"Yes reporter-san, I will answer any questions you have within reasons"

" Okay! First question, what is your relationship with Yukari?"

"How about a little story?"

That caught the attention of most of the people there.

"You see…."

I don't have a name, that's why I am called Watcher, that's what I am. Watchers are the beings who maintain the integrity of the boundaries that separates one universe from the other and watch over the beings who may have potential to affect the boundaries.

I have maintained 4 different universes till the end of their natural lifespan. After every 4 universes we get a kind of vacation in some universe where we are a little more free and have personality.

I am telling you this because that's how I found Yukari, the watcher of this universe sensed an anomaly in the boundaries between this universe and a dead one. I went to investigate in his stead and found a girl, a living being stuck in the boundaries of existence and non existence and survived the end of her universe.

"That girl was Yukari?" Reimu asked in a low voice.

"Yes, a little girl not older than ten, just floating in the void where nothing should have existed" Watcher replied. "So I took care of her because of my own curiosity, don't know when she started calling me father but I accepted being her father after that"

"And what about Rumia?" Aya aked while writing something in her notepad.

"Rumia…...is just like me but she is a caretaker, a being who works for the watchers. They take care of the people or a whole civilization if they pose a threat to the universe. Rumia is the caretaker assigned to me and she has been known as many names in human history but the most common one is the 'one who brings destruction and death' or the 'black angel of death and vengeance'" Watcher replied. "Would have been common enough if there were any survivors…"

Almost everyone in Gensokyo knew who Rumia was, but no one knew what kind of youkai she was. She always said she was a man eating youkai of darkness but ever since the creation of Gensokyo there has been no records or witness of Rumia actually being a man eating youkai. For most she was just a harmless and friendly youkai, she would often go near the human village's gate and would talk with the guards or even attend classes under Keine's supervision.

"Haha….to think that she was hiding something like that" Marisa nervously laughed. Few months ago, she and Alice got curious about Rumia's ribbon that was on her hair and they tried to examine it more closely. Long story short, they made her cry and that got them into trouble with Yuuka and Reimu who were nearby.

"Yeah…." Alice weakly said looking a bit pale.

"And what about the ribbon on her hair?" Aya was also curious about the ribbon on Rumia's hair. It contained some magical spells on it and there were rumors that it was used to seal Rumia's true form. "It emits a faint magic sometimes and the magic feels old"

"It's just a piece of cloth and the magic is because of the self repair and preservation spell casted on it" Watcher replied. "Rumia treasures it. It was given to her by Hakurei when she first started to practice using her powers"

" Hakurei?" Reimu asked

"Yes…. Hakurei, a little orphaned child whom Yukari found in the forest half dead" watcher answered. " Yukari was young and she wanted a little sister so I also took care of her as my daughter on this very hill where this shrine is built. This is where I built my little house"

'Whattttttttttt?' This was the thought almost everyone was having after hearing Watcher.
