A long,long time ago

A child with blond hair was walking on a beaten path looking around and muttering under breath. "I want a little sibling too….. but papa said I can't have one"

The girl was Yukari and she was pouting because earlier this morning she asked her father for a little sister but his father didn't like the idea too much.

She was going to the small settlement nearby like she always did to play with the children there. But always felt uneasy whenever she went to the settlement due to her family's position as their protectors, the adults always treated her as some kind of god and getting the Oni, kappas, and the tengu on the nearby mountain to stop terrorizing the humans only made the situation worse for her.

"I want to be treated like a normal girl, not a god! I am nothing like Suwako or Shinki!" She fell on a soft patch of grass and started her temper tantrum and after a while she calmed down. "Rumia, please tell me I am nothing like those two good for nothing goddesses right?!"

"Yes, little Yukari.. you're nothing like them" Answered Rumia who appeared out of nowhere. " You're still a bit naive, childish, spoiled and last of all flat"

" You're not any better Rumia, you still look like a little child too" Yukari pointed at Rumia who was suppressing her laugh.

"Is that so?" Rumia was suddenly covered by some black mist and another person, an adult, a well endowed woman stood where Rumia was a few seconds before. "Unlike you, I can change my appearance whenever I want and now I am bigger than you in more than one way brat"

Yukari just stood there quietly because whenever Rumia became an adult, she would never stop annoying her.

"Annoying old hag" Yukari grumbled under her breath.

"Huh?" Both of them felt the brief but sudden distortion in the boundaries near them, specifically the boundary that separates the existing from the non existing and it almost always means danger, so they ran toward the direction they felt the distortion.

What they found was a small child floating in the air naked.

Rumia looked at Yukari. "You didn't use your power to pull a little girl out of non-existence did you?"

"No, non-existent is scary, papa took me there once"

"Let's take her to your father, leaving her here is no good" Rumia carried the girl in her arms and walked towards the small hill where Watcher had built a small house.

According to her father, the girl was a result of a rare anomaly in the boundaries of a universe. And that meant the girl had no family and no place to stay.

"Papa! She can be my little sister" Yukari grabbed her father's leg and started crying. " Please, please, please, please papa!"

"Okay, okay first let's wait for her to wake up, until then why don't you go find some clothes for her"

"Okay!" Yukari jumped inside one of her gaps.

"At least little Yukari is happy" Rumia smiled and softly laughed"She is currently with Gaia and Shinki, better prepare some good food for tonight. Who would have thought you would have thought you would be a father of two"

"It isn't set in stone yet"

"For a being who exists in the past, present and the infinite future at the same time, you don't sound so sure of the future, hmm?" A woman with green hair came out of a gap smiling. She was followed by a silver haired teenage looking girl who had Yukari in her arms and some clothes.

"The future is infinite and I know everything that will happen in that infinite future but that doesn't mean which future will play out, or you can say for me the boundaries of the known and the unknown are blurry" Watcher smirked. "Welcome Gaia, you're the only one who has any real parenting experience, so any advice?"

"That joke is getting old and for the last time, the Titans aren't my children!" Gaia scoffed, when the humans first learnt about her, they started creating stories about how she gave birth to the Titans and Watcher would always use it as a joke.

"Grandpa! It's rude to joke around about her children like that!" The silver haired girl, Shinki, said totally oblivious of the joke which made Gaia groan and Rumia laughed in the corner.

"Papa! She is waking up" Yukari called out from the little girl's side.

7 years later

The little girl now named Hakurei was playing with Yukari and the children from the settlement that had grown to be a small village now. She was now 11 years old.

They were currently playing hide and seek. She was hiding on a tree, suddenly her mouth was covered by a hand and another grabbed her tight.

"Move and you'll die child" The one who grabbed her said in a whisper.

Hakurei knew who this person was, a tengu from the nearby mountain. This tengu was a prankster and a troublemaker that even the other tengu were annoyed of. He has been trying to play pranks on her family for sometime now only to become the victim of Yukari's pranks.

The tengu took flight with her towards the mountain where the tengus lived.

"Do you think the tengu will even be alive after little Hakurei is done with him?" Gaia thought aloud looking through one of Yukari's gaps at the tengu carrying Hakurei.

"Hakurei will be alright, after all the three of us taught her how to protect herself" Shinki puffed out her chest and put a hand on it looking proud.

"I think Gaia is talking about the tengu" Rumia in her adult form facepalmed. "We all know how Hakurei can be if she gets angry"

Rumia wasn't worried about that particular tengu but she was worried for the tengu village. Rumia and the others learnt that Hakurei was a power house full of divine energy and she also had the ability to float out of reality and become invincible, combining that with her bad temper was a disaster waiting to happen. At least Hakurei had enough self control to not use her powers against the humans, but a tengu was different.

Just like Rumia and Gaia predicted, Hakurei left the tengu a few inches from dying and almost destroyed half of the tengu village.

"This will teach the young ones not to be too reckless with the humans" Ryo, the current leader of the tengu said as he observed the little girl beating up the younger tengu warriors who tried to stop her while the elders and some Oni cheered them on.

"But is the damage to the village worth it?" Watcher asked, while he knew the answer he just felt like asking.

"We are relocating the village higher up the mountain." Ryo replied with a smile. "It is easier to defend if we have the higher ground"

"That young prankster…. His name was Tenma, right" Watcher thought aloud.

"Yes, he is next in line to be the leader after I am gone" Ryo looked at Watcher with a pleading look. "Please, Watcher-sama be his teacher and make him wise so he will be a great leader in the future"

"He has already received one of his lessons today, I will think about it after he is in a condition to think clearly" Watcher smiled at the Carnage which was going on in the tengu village. "I should go and stop my daughter"
