CutMan is Rebuilt

Finally I am at the power room in Dr Wily's skull castle. Having only one arm. Really makes things difficult. I will have to figure out the sequences and codes. To start the engines by myself. I have been blacklisted by every University and College. They won't give me access to schematics anymore.

My vision is so poor. I have to put my face on the panels. Just to see anything. It took days but finally the engines started. I slowly limp out of the government building. The faces of my comrades. I don't look at them. I'm too much of a coward to even look them in the eyes. Mom and dad fetch me. I'm at the docks. I start laughing it's so funny. I'm so pathetic now, Alicia needs to help me. I fall onto the floor while still laughing I slide towards the edge of the power control rooms deck floor. Dr Wily's skull castle sank into the ocean at 30 degree angle. Underneath the ledge is a 100m drop till you reach the top of the first engine. I'm still laughing even though. I'm going to die. I don't care anymore. I feel weightless. All my worries disappear...

"CUTMAN!" I am falling...how many seconds? I want to do the calculation but I'd not have enough time to finish doing it. I am being pressed. As if being compacted inside a trash compacter. Seconds pass. I hit the top of the engine I'm still falling I hit the oceans water leaking into the room. I'm still alive. I'm thrown into the wall. "CUTMAN NEVER DO THAT AGAIN, PLEASE!" It's Alicia did she catch me? I see light sparks. The environmental robotic suit, she is wearing protected her from the fall. She caught me while jumping off the deck. "Help me up Alicia."

We move through the castle like structure we go to my stage. I can hardly see the beautiful turquoise bricks my walls are made of. Slowly climbing the ladders on it. I've slipped and fallen of so many times. I just want to lay still and never move again. The moss had started growing on the rungs of the ladders. Alicia found some metal cable and put me on her back. We enter the stage's boss room. My room.

I pull back the secret tiles. I made this when I was still working at this hideout. It connects to all the ducting in the building. My photo's. We took them secretly when Dr Wily was not looking. A "family portrait" Bomb man, Fire man, Guts man, Ice man, Elec man and myself. Me and the boys working the stage together Super Cutter and the crew. I grab my old backpack, It has rainbow colours on it. I take and pack, my old things into it. I hear a scraping noise. I see something silver glitter but my eyes are so poor it must just be a reflection. MY HEAD'S SCISSOR! I HAVE A SPARE HERE! Desperately I put my hands in each and every place in my locker's racks. It's gone. It must have rusted away.

"Where are we going CutMan?""I need new parts lets go."

Alicia starts talking to me. I explain where everybody stayed. We have to move through Ice man's stage for the entrance of the next duct. I slip and fall so many times Alicia can't hold her laughter in anymore. I push the broken door open. In the middle of the room I see a figure laying. "We have to help!" "Alicia! Don't move just help me. Open the tiles here." "But.."

"He's been dead for 25years now. I've shaken him so many times, trying to get him to wake up. When I first found him, begging him to open his eyes. Those many years ago. He didn't move and inch and he won't move now either."

"Can't we just change his parts?" "His core was destroyed. All his memories are gone.""..." Alicia stays quiet. "Alicia if you want to turn back now. I.." "Let's leave CutMan. These are the tiles?"

We move through the stages all my buddies are dead. At the exit of this stage Guts man is in the corner of the room. He is broken into two." "Alicia starts gagging." I move past my destroyed friend and brother.

We reach the experimental room. Dr Wily's "black projects" area. Only Dr Wily and a hooded robot was allowed entry. He was bullying me and pushing me around. His cloak opened for just a moment once. I saw his code Beta/Alpha-Five-Five. He didn't notice and Dr Wily screamed at him to focus on the research.

When I was mopping the floors and cleaning the equipment. I recorded everything I heard and saw. The data I stored on 3.5inch high density floppy disks drive. I would hide them under secret tiles. I told nobody about. I got my hands on an old Hackintosh Classic Colour. Dr Wily was throwing it out. I repaired and upgraded it as Dr Wily threw out his old experimental parts. His technologies was years ahead of the best the world had.

I know the research he did here. Time has passed but even now. This technology is still cutting edge. "CutMan tell me what to do." I start the computer and type in the password "1234". The fusion generators powering the research room power on. Alicia falls on her backside. The hundreds of robots hanging like carcasses in a butchery in front of us. They look so lifelike, they just lack skin.

I found the magnetic tape reel in the racks of tapes in the room next to the computer. I load it into the computer. It says select face. I just put default. I need eyes first. This is his best type of eye technology. He designed it to be as close as possible to natural eyesight. Without any of the weaknesses. My vision goes white and clears, "FINALLY! I can see again!"

I try to move I am still restrained. Alicia enter the room she is looking at me with a cold look in her eyes. She pulls something at the back of her neck. Its a thin cable with a metal connection. She pulls the cable out. "CutMan my job was to watch you. The witch Rita had seen that in the future you would destroy Lord Zedd's empire. I've come to kill you CutMan. That you discovered Mega Man was the last straw, we can't risk anymore of your interference. I'm sorry CutMan I...CutMan."

I let out a robot sigh in my head. If it is not one thing, it's another.

"Alicia I'm sorry if I caused you trouble. But you have a job to do. If you kill me, I won't hold a grudge against you.""...cutman..."

She puts the cable into my data connection. My mind goes dark.

My BIOS system boots. It asks for date and time and which time zone. Antarctica UMC +8. It's at night. I hear Alicia's voice she is crying. Someone is screaming at her asking why she did not kill me. My eyes open they go in opposite directions focusing and then locking together looking both in the same direction. They have adjusted. The room is dark. Immediately the room is bright and "colourful". I hear a slapping sound someone is hurting Alicia. I move my arms and break the restraints. I am up and off the table.

"ITS HIM AND HE'S HURTING HER!" His head is inside the metal wall. I pull him out. My hand is covering his head. I close with as much force as I can, he goes limp. I hear cracking noises. His head's shape is changing it starts to flatten. Instantly he disappears. Alicia is cowering in the corner and bruised. Her lifelike skin has been damaged. Ten of those things are in the room. I punch them so hard all their insides are liquefied their corpses disappear.

"Alicia let's leave." I pick her up. I lower the shield that has been installed into my upgraded body. She is also covered by my shielding the energy field protecting us both."

"CutMan I'm sorry I had...""Alicia its fine now. Lets go home."
