If there was one thing Kyouka hated more than anything it was bars. Aside from the fact that she wasn't really a drinker, she just hated dealing with the types of idiots found in these places. The only reason she was here was because she was supposed to meet with Yaomomo. Why the rich girl wanted to meet here of all places was beyond the rocker girl. She had thought she knew how Yaomomo's mind worked by now since they've been best friends since high school, but it seemed that wasn't the case.

With a sigh, Kyouka entered the establishment, ready to knock out any drunk who tried anything while she waited for her friend. As her eyes scanned the room they landed on a familiar mop of fluffy green hair sitting at the bar that Kyouka was NOT expecting to see here.

"What the hell?" questioned the purple-haired woman as she made her way over. Reaching the individual, she found his head down on the bar and surrounded by a few empty bottles. She frowned at this sight since as far as she knew he, like her, wasn't a drinker. She reached over and gave him a gentle shake. "Midoriya."

The man let out a groan before lifting his head, revealing the glazed look in his eyes. Yup, definitely drunk. "Huh? Who z'ere?"

"Midoriya, it's me, Jirou," replied Kyouka, frowning even more after hearing his slurred words. "What are you doing here?"

"…Drinkin'."

"I can see that," said the rocker girl in a deadpan tone. "Why though?"

"I needz it."

Kyouka let out a sigh and pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration. "Okay, you're drunk, which means you need to go home."

"No!" exclaimed Izuku, surprising Kyouka. "I can't go home. Not z'ere…not z'ere."

Kyouka raised an eyebrow in confusion as she saw tears coming to Izuku's eyes. She had always known that her former classmate was emotional, but something about this worried her.

"Midoriya? Did something happen?"

"…"

Somehow that was all Kyouka needed. Taking out her cellphone, she sent a text to Momo saying that something came up and she would need to take a rain check. Putting her phone away, she grabbed Izuku's arm and placed it around her shoulder.

"Come on, Midoriya. Let's go."

"Where we goin'?"

"My place. It's close and you need to sober up," replied Kyouka as she led him towards the exit.

"…M'kay."

She was so glad that Izuku wasn't a difficult drunk.

-:-

Entering her apartment, Kyouka led Izuku over to the couch and laid him down on it. She then quickly retrieved a bucket and placed it nearby, just in case he needed it. Looking at the passed out greenie, she wanted to know what the hell happened to cause him to go binge drink.

Hopefully she'd get some answers in the morning.

-:-

A groan escaped Izuku's throat as he regained consciousness. He opened his eyes before closing them again with another groan, as the bright light of the sun was too intense for him. Sitting up slowly, thanks to his hangover, he blearily took in his surroundings.

"Where am I?"

"Morning, sleepy head," said a voice, making the man flinch. "As to where you are, you're at my place."

Turning to where the voice came from, being a nearby recliner, Izuku's eyes widened when he saw who it was.

"J-Jirou-san?!"

"You recognize me, so that's good," said Kyouka, putting down her coffee on the table. She then gave him a narrowed look. "Seeing as how you're coherent now, you can answer a few questions I have."

Nervousness welled up in Izuku. What happened last night?!

"Ano, c-could you m-maybe tell me how I got here first?" asked Izuku.

"I found you drunk at a bar, which is what I want to talk about," explained the shy rocker. "What the hell possessed you to drink like that?"

Memories of what happened earlier yesterday came back to Izuku and he became depressed once more. "I…I don't want to talk about it."

"Dude, I found you drunk last night, something no one expects from you. Something must have happened to make you go to a bar and get sloshed," said Kyouka with a frown. "If something happened I want to help you."

"…I doubt you could help me with this," stated Izuku, looking away from her with a frown.

"You don't know that. Do you want me to get a hold of Ochaco? See if she can help?"

She watched as he clenched his fists at the mention of the anti-gravity girl.

"She…She would only make things worse," replied the green-haired man.

Kyouka watched as he closed his eyes and could see tears escape, running down his face. Now she was really confused, as well as concerned for the man before her.

"Midoriya, did something happen between you and Ochaco?" asked Kyouka. As far as she knew, the two were a happy couple.

"…I don't know what happened. I thought I made her happy," stated Izuku as he started shaking. He then looked up at her as if she had the answer he was looking for. "Why did she cheat on me, Jirou-san?"

Purple eyes widened in shock. Ochaco cheated on Midoriya?! That didn't even sound possible!

"Are you absolutely sure about that, Midoriya?" asked Kyouka, thinking that maybe he was jumping to conclusions.

He nodded. "I was going to do the laundry, so I went into the bedroom to collect any scattered clothes that needed to be washed. I checked under the bed just in case something might have got pushed under there and…I f-found a pair of b-boxers. Th-They w-weren't mine."

Kyouka could just hear the pain in his voice. "Wh-What did you do?"

"I confronted her about it, asking her where they came from," replied Izuku, clenching his eyes shut. "She got defensive and accused me of not trusting her, but I kept pushing before she admitted that she was cheating on me."

The purplette could feel anger building up. Thanks to her Quirk, she could tell that Izuku wasn't lying. "Why? Why would she even cheat on you?! You never did anything to give her a reason to!"

"I don't know. She didn't give a reason why she did it. Sh-She just yelled at m-me and th-then kicked me out," cried Izuku, quiet sobs escaping him.

Now Kyouka was really pissed. That bitch was the one who cheated, yet Izuku is the one who gets kicked out?! Next time she saw the anti-gravity woman, she was kicking her ass. Right now though, there was a greenie that needed comfort.

Moving from the recliner to the couch, Kyouka immediately brought Izuku into her arms, letting him cry on her shoulder.

"It's okay, Midoriya. It's okay. Everything will get better, I promise," said Kyouka as she rubbed his back.

She just hoped she could keep that promise.

-:-

It had been a few days since Kyouka had found Izuku. Right now they were on their way to Izuku's apartment to pack his things and get him out of there. Luckily they would have some help in getting everything packed as Kyouka had called a few of their friends and told them what had happened…with Izuku's permission, of course.

"I can't believe Uraraka would do that!" exclaimed Momo, angry with the brunette.

"Yeah, man. I'm sorry that you had to go through with that," added Kirishima, giving Izuku a brotherly pat on the shoulder.

"You don't need to apologize, Kirishima," mumbled out Izuku, still a bit depressed. "You didn't do anything wrong."

"Do you know who the other guy is, Midoriya?" asked Shouto, looking at his best friend in worry.

Izuku just shook his head.

Kyouka knew she had to tread carefully with her next question. "Do…Do you think it could have been Bakugou? He does still have it out for you after all these years."

Kirishima looked at the shy rocker with wide eyes, while Izuku shook his head again.

"I doubt it. Kacchan might hate me, but he wouldn't go that far. If anything, he'd curse out Uraraka and then tell her to get lost if she came up to him for that. Besides, Kacchan wants nothing to do with women since he thinks they're a distraction for heroes."

Both Kyouka and Momo grimaced at hearing that.

"Let's just get your stuff and get out of here," stated Kyouka. "If we run into Uraraka, I can't promise that I'll keep my hands off her."

Izuku couldn't bring himself to worry for his ex's safety as he and the others followed Kyouka up to his old apartment. When they reached the door, Izuku brought out his key and opened the door. He was surprised that Ochaco didn't change the lock on him.

When they all entered, they looked around and were surprised that Ochaco wasn't there.

"Maybe she knew better than to stay with us coming?" questioned Momo.

"Could be," replied Kirishima, still looking around. His eyes then landed on the answering machine. "Looks like you got some messages, Midori-bro."

The redhead pressed the button, but soon regretted it when Ochaco's voice came through the speaker.

"Deku, if you're hearing this I'll keep it short and say that I moved out of our apartment and in with my new boyfriend. I wish we could have worked out, but I guess we just weren't meant to be. Goodbye."

Kyouka glared hatefully at the answering machine while the others (minus Izuku) stared at it wide-eyed.

'Stupid, ungrateful bitch,' thought the purplette, wanting nothing more than to kick Ochaco's ass. 'If she ever comes near Izuku again, she'll be sorry.'

Without another word, the group started packing Izuku's things, the atmosphere tense, as they were afraid that Izuku could break even further.

They just hoped that he'd get better soon. He didn't deserve this.

-:-

"I'm sorry, Jirou-san."

The purplette frowned as she looked at Izuku. They had just gotten back from his old apartment and had placed all of his things in the guest room. She had claimed responsibility and decided that Izuku would be staying with her until he could get back onto his feet. That and she really didn't want to leave him alone in his state of mind.

"Why are you apologizing, Midoriya?"

"Because I'm nothing but a burden. You're letting me stay here and taking time out of your life to help me when you probably have better things to do," replied Izuku, starting to shake. "Just b-because I wasn't g-good enough f-for Uraraka."

Kyouka had to hold back a growl of anger. How could anyone hurt this man before her? It was bad enough when back in high school everyone learned of the things Bakugou had done to him in the past, but then Uraraka did what she did, knowing how Izuku's been treated, and made things worse. He never did anything to deserve any of that.

Grabbing his rough, scarred hand in her soft, dainty ones, she led him over to the couch where they sat down.

"You are NOT a burden, Midoriya, and you never will be," stated Kyouka, looking into his eyes, eyes that were filled with so much pain. "You're my friend and there's nothing more important than that."

"But…"

"No buts. Let me put it this way, Midoriya. If our roles were reversed, where I was the one cheated on and you found me trying to drink my miseries away, what would you have done?"

She could just see the conflicting thoughts bouncing around in his head.

"Th-That w-wouldn't happen s-since you're b-better than m-me. N-No one w-would w-want to ch-cheat on you."

"Don't say things like that, Midoriya," replied Kyouka, another frown appearing on her face. "There is NOTHING wrong with you and anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. I might not know why Uraraka cheated on you, but it wasn't your fault."

"But…"

"Listen to me, Midoriya!" she said with a slight growl, catching his attention. "Any woman would be lucky to have a guy like you in their life and Uraraka was stupid enough to throw it all away. So don't go selling yourself short, okay?"

A blush appeared on Izuku's face. "O-Okay, although…"

"Uh-uh, that's another "but" and we'll be having no more of that, got it?"

"Y-Yes, ma'am," replied Izuku, making Kyouka smirk.

"Good," she said before taking out her phone. "Now, how about I order some take-out and then we can watch a movie? Sound good?"

"…S-Sure."

After placing the order, the two found a movie to watch while they waited. As they watched the movie, Kyouka glanced at her new roommate.

'I won't let anyone hurt you ever again, Izuku.'

-:-

"So has Midoriya had any luck finding a new place yet?"

"Hm?" hummed Kyouka as she glanced over at her best friend before looking back at her coffee. She and Momo were currently at a small café. "No, not really. With all of the hero work he does, he doesn't really have time to look."

"I see," replied Momo, looking concerned.

"…Yaomomo?"

"Yes, Kyouka?"

"…Is it wrong that I don't want Izuku to move out?"

It had been two months now since Izuku moved in with Kyouka and the two have become closer friends in that time. Apparently though, they're closer than Momo had thought.

"Wait, what exactly are you saying, Kyouka?" asked Momo, staring at her friend with wide eyes.

Kyouka glanced away with a slight blush as she nervously twirled one of her earphone jacks around her finger. "I…I may or may not have a slight attraction towards Izuku."

The raven-haired beauty's jaw dropped. This was big news! "When did this happen?!"

"…Ever since our first Sports Festival back in high school," replied Kyouka, her blush becoming brighter.

"Wait, wait, you've had feelings for Midoriya this whole time?!" questioned Momo in a whispered hiss.

"…Yeah."

"Why didn't you do anything before?!"

"Because why would Izuku have wanted someone like me, especially when he had someone like Uraraka around?" she asked in return a scowl on her face as her insecurities were creeping up.

"But considering what we know now…"

"Yeah, well back then we all thought they were perfect for each other," spat the purplette. "Because of that I had to bury my feelings to keep peace. I guess with him living with me those feelings came back to the surface."

"…Are you going to tell him?"

Kyouka could only stare at her best friend with wide eyes. "Are you crazy, Yaomomo?! He's still hurting from what Uraraka did to him! This would only make things worse!"

Momo gave off a frown. "But doesn't he deserve happiness?"

"Of course he does! I just don't want to push him into something he might not be ready for yet."

The Creation Hero could understand that, now that she thought about it. "Very well, Kyouka, but don't wait too long. As I said, Midoriya deserves to be happy."

The shy rocker let out a sigh, but nodded in agreement.

The two women then decided it was time to head home. Leaving money for the bill, they stood and took their leave…only for Kyouka to bump into someone as they exited the building.

"Ah! I'm sorry!" she exclaimed her eyes closed as she bowed her head in apology.

"N-No, I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention! Wait, Jirou?"

Upon hearing her name, Kyouka opened her eyes and looked up, only to scowl as she looked at the round, smiling face of Uraraka Ochaco.

"You," hissed Kyouka as she glared hatefully at the brunette. Momo wasn't too happy to see Uraraka either.

Ochaco's eyes widened in surprise at the hostility shown her way. "Me? What did I do?"

Kyouka tried to take a swipe at the anti-gravity woman, but was held back by Momo.

"What did you do? What did you do?! You cheated on Izuku, you bitch!"

The brunette froze. "H-How…?"

"I found Izuku trying to drink himself into a coma because of you! Why the hell would you cheat on him?!" demanded Kyouka as she continued to glare.

This made the other woman to frown and look away. "It's complicated."

"Complicated my ass! You know damn well Izuku didn't deserve what you did to him and you couldn't even give him a reason why you did it!" snapped the rocker girl. "You're damn lucky Inko didn't come after you when she found out!"

It was true, too. The day after Izuku had moved in with Kyouka, he had gone to his parents' place to tell them what had happened with Kyouka going with him for support. Needless to say, Toshinori was quite disappointed with Uraraka, while Inko…well Kyouka didn't think it was possible for the short, plump woman to have an angry side that could put Bakugou's to shame. She had a feeling that not even All Might in his prime could stop the mother from reigning hell on anyone who hurt her baby boy. The purplette almost wished Izuku hadn't convinced his mom NOT to go out on a witch-hunt.

"Does it really matter anymore? What's done is done," replied Ochaco, starting to get annoyed.

"…If you don't tell me why you cheated on Izuku in the next ten seconds, I CAN and WILL kick your ass in public," said Kyouka in a serious tone. "You and I both know your Gunhead Self-Defense is useless against my Quirk."

A growl escaped from Ochaco as she glared right back at the rocker. "What business is it of yours, Kyouka? Why are you trying to get involved?"

"Because unlike you I actually give a damn about Izuku. You know just as well as I do about the things he's been through and you do this?! Now tell me why you did it!"

"Because of money, okay?!" snapped the anti-gravity woman, getting fed up with this. "I cheated on him because of money! Are you happy now?!"

Silence surrounded the three women as Kyouka and Momo processed what they just heard.

"Money? You cheated because of money?" demanded Kyouka, wanting nothing more than to slap the bitch before her.

"Deku has no idea how to handle money!" exclaimed Ochaco, throwing her arms up in the air. "He donates most of our money to charity, leaving us with just enough to scrape by!"

Something didn't sit right with Kyouka and Momo. While it's not surprising that someone like Izuku would donate to charity to help the less fortunate, they couldn't see him giving away ALL of his money. Especially since his old apartment didn't look cheap.

"Uraraka, we've been in the apartment you shared with Midoriya. It looked like you were well off," said Momo.

Ochaco could only give off a huff. "What would you know, Yaoyorozu? You've ALWAYS had money. I on the other hand had to grow up poor, watching my parents struggle every single day! The whole reason I wanted to become a hero was so I could support my family and give them an easy life and when I FINALLY achieve that, Deku ruins it by giving away our money! I worked too hard to go back to my old life! How can he be so selfish like that?!"

A loud smack echoed through the air as Kyouka slapped Ochaco across the face. The brunette, who fell to the ground due to the force of the slap, looked up in shock at the glaring eyes of the purplette. While that was going on, Momo was stuck with crowd control as they were gaining an audience.

"You stupid bitch. Do you really think I'm going to believe that?! Especially when I can tell when someone is bullshitting?!"

"It's the truth!" snapped Ochaco, glaring at the earphone jacks that were pointing at her.

"Say what you want, but's clear to me that there's more to this story than you're telling. Now get out of my sight and if I find out you got anywhere near Izuku, I'll make you regret it," stated Kyouka, ready to strike with her earphone jacks.

With a scowl, Ochaco turned and marched away from Kyouka, not wanting to deal with her anymore. Once she was gone, Kyouka turned and went in the opposite direction, ignoring the crowd around her.

"What are you going to do now, Kyouka?" asked Momo as she followed after.

"The only thing I can do. Talk with Izuku," replied Kyouka with a sigh. "Like I said, there's more to the story than what's being told and I think Izuku can shed some light on it."

Momo looked worried. "Do you really think Midoriya was throwing away all of their money?"

"Hell no," enforced Kyouka, her scowl returning. "But I do want to know why Uraraka would think he was."

But would Izuku have the answers she sought?

-:-

When Kyouka returned home she found Izuku sitting on the couch looking through ads for new apartments. She felt her heart clench at the thought of him leaving.

Having heard the door open, Izuku looked up smiled when he saw that it was his music-loving roommate. "Hey, you're home."

"…Hey," replied Kyouka, twirling one of her earphone jacks in nervousness.

Seeing this, Izuku's smile turned into a look of concern. "Is everything alright, Kyouka?"

He had been getting better in the last two months and she knew what she was about to say would only hurt him, but she also knew she had to tell him.

"I…I ran into Uraraka earlier while I was out."

"…Oh…was she with HIM?"

"No," she replied with a shake of her head, knowing whom he was referring to. "She was alone as far as I know."

A soft hum escaped his throat as Kyouka made her way over to sit next to him. Glancing at her, he noticed that she didn't have any scuffs or bruises on her.

"So how badly did you hurt her?" he asked, knowing that she's wanted to fight with Uraraka.

Her mouth twitched into a small, amused smile. "Unfortunately I didn't get to do too much to her outside of a slap to the face. There were other people around so I didn't want to embarrass her too badly."

Izuku couldn't help but chuckle at that. "Well aren't you considerate."

That got a giggle out of her, but any amusement she had went away when she got back on track. "Izuku…she told me why she did what she did to you."

He tensed up a little, causing her to grow concerned.

"D-Do I want to know?" he asked, barely above a whisper.

But she heard it anyway thanks to her Quirk. "I think you should. Izuku, what exactly is your money situation?"

The greenie blinked in confusion at the sudden change in subject, but it didn't take him lone to understand the question. "Wait, Uraraka cheated on me because of money?"

Kyouka let out a sigh before looking him in the eye. "That's what she said. That's why I want to know what your money situation is, because the way Uraraka worded it didn't sit well with me."

Rubbing the back of his head he started to explain. "Well we weren't struggling. We always had more than enough to get by."

"How so?"

"Well…we had a shared account where we would each put half of our paychecks in it and we would use that to pay for things like bills and groceries. Then we each had our own separate accounts that we would use for spending money. I don't know how Uraraka used hers, but I would put a quarter of my paycheck in mine and then give the last quarter away to charity."

"And you never touched that shared account for anything beyond its intended purpose? Or ever asked her for money?"

"Of course not!" exclaimed Izuku. His eyes then widened. "Wait, did Uraraka accuse me of stealing from the account?"

"Not exactly," replied Kyouka with a sigh. "She kept referring to the money you make as both of yours and pretty much didn't like the fact that you would donate money to charities."

"…What?" questioned the greenie, trying to understand what he was hearing.

"She also said something along the lines of how she didn't want to go back to being poor because you were "throwing your money away" and that you were selfish for doing that," explained Kyouka with a slight scowl. She then raised one of her earphone jacks. "But I can tell that you're telling the truth by the sound of your heartbeat. I guess Uraraka became a bit too obsessed with money over the years that she couldn't understand that you can do whatever with YOUR money."

Izuku felt something he rarely felt. Anger. Any sadness and despair he felt over what Uraraka did to him were replaced with a furious anger. Not only was he angry at Uraraka, but at himself as well.

He abruptly stood up and marched towards his room. Worried, Kyouka stood and went to follow him. When she got there, she found him rummaging around in one of the dresser drawers.

"Selfish? She has the damn nerve to call me selfish?!" muttered Izuku as he pulled out a small object. "If I was so damn selfish I wouldn't have saved up to buy this fucking thing for her!"

Kyouka flinched, not only from the rarely used curses that came from Izuku's mouth, but because he threw the object in his hand and made a dent in the wall. Looking at what he threw, her eyes widened when she saw that it was a velvet box. Picking it up and opening it, she held in a gasp when she found a simple diamond ring with a gold band tucked inside.

"I-Izuku?" questioned the rocker as she turned to look at him. She saw him slightly shaking.

"Th-The day I f-found out sh-she was ch-cheating on me w-was the day I w-was g-going to pr-propose to her," stuttered out the green-haired man. Kyouka could tell he was crying.

Putting the box down, Kyouka quickly brought him into her arms and let him cry on her shoulder as he held her as if she was a lifeline. She didn't care how many times she would have to do this. She would not allow him to hurt anymore.

"I am so sorry, Izuku," she said, holding him close.

"Wh-Why am I n-not allowed t-to be happy, K-Kyouka?"

Kyouka vowed to show no mercy next time she saw Uraraka.

-:-

Time moved on and it was starting to get colder as the autumn season came closer. Currently, Kyouka was relaxing on the couch after a long day at Creati's agency and was wearing one of Izuku's All Might hoodies for extra warmth.

'Speaking of which, I wonder when that cinnamon roll of a man will get home,' thought the rocker girl with a slight grin.

Her grin became a beaming smile when she heard the lock rattle. Standing up as the door opened, she went to meet the greenie.

Seeing her come his way, Izuku returned the smile. "Hey. Have you had dinner yet?"

"Not yet. I was waiting for you to get home," replied Kyouka, before she stood on her tiptoes to place a kiss on his cheek.

She remembers the first time she kissed Izuku like that. It was six months ago, a few days after her encounter with Uraraka. She had done it on impulse, not even thinking, and when they realized what had just happened they both blushed up a storm. She desperately tried to apologize, but all he did was bring her into his arms and held her close as he placed a kiss on her forehead.

Did that make them a couple? She wasn't sure. They hadn't really talked about it, but that didn't really stop them from kissing each other like that from time to time since then.

"You didn't have to do that," stated Izuku giving her a look of concern.

"I wanted to. Now come on, I'll make your favorite," said Kyouka as she led him into the kitchen.

"One of these days I'm going to find out what your favorite dish is," he said with a chuckle. "It's not fair that you know mine, but I don't know yours."

A giggle was the only response he got as they got started on making dinner.

Later, after dinner had been eaten and the dishes were washed, the two were now sitting on the couch watching TV. Kyouka had positioned herself to lean up against Izuku and had one of his arms wrapped around herself. As the program on the screen played, Izuku kept glancing at his purple-haired roommate, feeling nervousness building up inside him.

"Is something wrong, Izuku?" asked Kyouka, causing him to jump slightly.

"W-Wrong? Wh-What makes you think something is wrong?"

She adjusted herself so she could look at him, giving him a frown as she held up one of her earphone jacks. "Your heart is beating a mile a minute, dude. Come on, if something is bothering you, you can tell me."

"…It's not so much that something is bothering me, but I've just been doing a lot of thinking recently and wondering if I'm making the right decision."

Red flags were going off in Kyouka's mind. Was he going to tell her that he was moving out and was afraid to tell her?! She prayed to whoever was listening that, that wasn't the case. She didn't want him to leave! She loved coming home and seeing him here and she knew it would be lonely once he was gone.

"W-Well, whatever you decide to do, just know that'll support you all the way, Izuku," replied Kyouka, hoping the smile she gave him was believable. She may not have wanted him to go, but she knew she no right to stop him.

A blush covered Izuku's face before he let out a shaky sigh. "O-Okay then. Here goes n-nothing. K-Kyouka…w-would you p-possibly w-want to g-go out on a d-date…w-with m-me?"

Her mind completely blanked out at the question. Of all the things he could have said, that was honestly the one she was expecting the least. Once he brain rebooted, it was her turn to blush as she started to tap her earphone jacks together in that shy manner Izuku had grown to love.

"A d-date? Y-You w-want to g-go out on a d-date w-with m-me?" squeaked Kyouka, unable to look him in the eye.

Even though she couldn't see him, Izuku nodded anyway. "Y-Yes. You've done so much for me when you didn't have to that I couldn't help but fall for you over time. The only reason I was afraid to ask you out was because I didn't want to make you think that I was just using you as a rebound…th-that and I was thinking that someone as cool and b-beautiful as you wouldn't want someone as b-broken as me."

Kyouka's blush returned with a vengeance when he called her beautiful. Even though she was no longer a teenager, she was still insecure with her appearance, so to have someone call her beautiful and mean it made her insides flutter. But then there was the other stuff Izuku had mentioned. She reached up to hold his face in her hands so she could look him in the eye.

"I know you well enough that you would never treat me as a rebound," stated the woman in a soft tone. "And you are not broken. You are the strongest person I know because no matter how many times you get knocked down, you'll get right back up and fight on."

"Kyouka…"

She leaned up and placed her lips upon his, to which he returned just as sensually. When they ended the kiss, they looked back into each other's eyes.

"So where do you plan on taking me for our date, Izu-kun?" she asked with a slight grin.

He could only let out a small laugh as he held her close, never wanting to let her go.

-:-

Izuku and Kyouka were a happy couple. They had been dating for little over two weeks now and were enjoying every second of it. Like most couples they enjoyed going out for dinner or to the movies, but they would also occasionally go to this one music club that Kyouka enjoyed where indie bands would occasionally play. The first time Izuku had gone he only had one thing to say after Kyouka had asked him what he thought.

"I personally like your singing a lot more," he had said in that honest way he was known for.

Needless to say, Kyouka had to hide her face in his chest so no one could see the massive blush on her face.

Right now, the shy couple was at a cozy little café to unwind after a long day of heroics.

"This is nice," said Kyouka as she leaned up against her man. The two were in a booth in the back for privacy.

Izuku hummed in agreement as he wrapped an arm around Kyouka and held her close. "It is, although I don't think it matters where we are. As long as I have you with me, I'll be happy."

A giggle came from Kyouka as she snuggled the greenie. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

"Well aren't you two getting intimate," said a voice with a slight edge, catching the shy couple's attention.

Snapping to where the voice came from, Izuku and Kyouka could only frown as they made eye contact with Uraraka, who looked at the couple with a jealous glare. They also noticed that she wasn't alone.

Standing next to Uraraka was a man, who was giving the couple an unimpressed look, that Kyouka could swear could pass off as Izuku…if Izuku grew his hair out a bit more to cover one of his eyes, never smiled, and wore a suit.

'Yeesh. Everyone knew back in high school that Uraraka was kind of obsessed with Izuku, but this is just disturbing,' thought Kyouka, as she looked between Izuku and the doppelganger. She then let out a sigh as she gave the anti-gravity woman a narrowed look. "What do you want, Uraraka? Whatever is it, make it quick and get lost."

Uraraka's glare became a bit fiercer as she stared at the purplette. "I always thought it was odd how you defended Deku during our last encounter. Now I can see why."

"For your information, Uraraka," spoke up Izuku, anger seeping into his words. "Kyouka and I started dating about two weeks ago. And she defended me because unlike you, she's a true friend who won't betray me. So to repeat what Kyouka said; get lost."

He would not allow anyone to bad mouth Kyouka.

That was when the mystery man let out a chuckle. "How strange. This Deku seems different from the one you described, Ochaco."

Kyouka narrowed her eyes on the man. "Who the hell are you?"

He gave off a smirk that gave off the impression of him saying that he was better than you. "My name is Akatani Mikumo and as you can see, I'm the upgrade Ochaco has made."

Kyouka wanted nothing more than to punch this bastard in the face. Judging by the way Izuku was clenching his fist; he wanted to do the same thing.

"Yes, because picking a prick who thinks he's better than everyone else over a nice guy who cares about others is such an upgrade," replied Kyouka in a sarcastic tone. "You might as well have picked Bakugou or Monoma if that's all that mattered to you, Uraraka."

This earned her a smirk from Izuku and glares from Uraraka and Akatani.

Akatani merely gave off a scoff. "You best watch your tongue, woman. In case you couldn't tell I am better than Deku because unlike him I can actually provide for Ochaco and her family."

Izuku clenched his teeth in anger. This man was REALLY starting to piss him off.

"Newsflash, jackass. It's not Izuku's responsibility to provide for Ochaco's parents," stated Kyouka as she glared at Akatani and Uraraka.

"Maybe so, but if he actually cared about Ochaco he would have helped them with their money problems, but as Ochaco said, he was selfish when it came to money," argued Akatani. He then gave off a smirk. "I on the other hand have the money necessary to support a family."

Izuku and Kyouka watched with wide eyes as Akatani reached towards Uraraka and patted her on her rounded belly, which was slightly hidden by her thick sweater. The action caused her to give off an embarrassed smile.

"As you can see, Ochaco is growing MY child and has been for six months now. Another thing I'm better than you at, Deku," continued Akatani with a taunting look.

"Why don't you just slag off, you egotistical bitch," growled out Kyouka, having enough of this prick.

The taunting look was replaced with a scowl as Akatani turned to Kyouka. "I told you once to watch your tongue, woman. Now do so or I will MAKE you."

Now it was Izuku's turn to glare. "Don't talk to her like that."

"Or what?" replied the doppelganger, returning to his taunting. "You going to hurt me? You'd be a fool since you'd lose your hero license for hurting a civilian."

The next thing Akatani knew was him letting out a yelp as Izuku got in front of him and held him by the front of his suit. How did he move that fast?! For this first time in his life, Akatani felt fear as he stared in the hardened eyes of the hero Deku. Kyouka and Uraraka could only stare wide-eyed; surprised by the intensity that Izuku was giving off. They've only seen this sort of intensity from him when he fought villains.

"She is more important to me than a piece of plastic with my name on it," said Izuku in a quiet, deadly tone. "So I'll repeat myself; don't talk to her like that. Do not even THINK about touching her or I WILL break you. Got it?"

"Y-Yes! Wh-Whatever you s-say!" stuttered out Akatani with a whimper, showing what kind of person he truly was.

"Good," replied the greenie as he shoved Akatani away.

Not wanting to stick around, Akatani ran out of the café like the coward he was with Uraraka trying her best to keep up.

Once they were gone, Izuku turned to sit back down next to Kyouka, only for him to return to his shy self when he noticed Kyouka staring at him in shock. Before he could say anything, Kyouka placed some money on the table to pay for their bill and then grabbed Izuku by the wrist and dragged him out of the café.

"K-Kyouka? Are you upset with me for wh-what I did just now?" asked Izuku as he was dragged down the sidewalk.

"Upset? No. Turned on? Very!"

"Eh?! B-But w-we've only b-been d-dating for t-two weeks!"

"And we've been living together for much longer," she replied, looking back at him with a hint of lust in her amethyst eyes.

Despite blushing up a storm at what was to come, Izuku scooped up Kyouka and rushed back home.

Snow fell gently as Izuku and Kyouka were getting ready spend Christmas Eve with their families.

"Are you almost ready, Izu-kun?" asked Kyouka as she finished applying a light coating of purple eye shadow. "You know if we're late your mom is going to start worrying and call."

"She wouldn't be her if she didn't worry," replied Izuku with a laugh as he entered the room. He was just finishing tying his tie…or at least he TRIED to tie his tie.

Kyouka merely rolled her eyes, but gave her man a loving smile as she moved in to fix his tie. "All these years and you still don't know how to tie one of these things."

He could only blush in response as she fixed the knot. Once she was satisfied with it, it was time to go. But first…

"W-Wait a moment, Kyouka," spoke Izuku.

She turned to him in confusion. "Hm? What is it, Izu-kun?"

Her confusion grew when she watched him reach into his jacket and pulled out a small gift the size of her hand wrapped in purple wrapping paper.

"Here, this is for you," replied the cinnamon roll as he handed her the gift.

"…But we were going to open gifts when we got to your folks' place, Izu-kun," replied the shy rocker, still confused as she accepted the gift.

"I know, but I want you to open this one before we left."

Not wanting to disappoint Izuku, Kyouka complied. She gave it a slight shake at first, but didn't hear anything rattle around. Now even more curious, she gently tore at the wrapping to reveal a simple white box. It was only when she took of the box's lid and saw inside did her heart stop and eyes widen.

It was a small velvet box sitting on a pillow of tissue paper. Looking back at her fluffy-haired boyfriend, she found him on one knee.

"I-Izu-kun?"

"I love you more than anything, Kyouka, and I can't even imagine my life without you in it. S-So w-would you d-do me the honor and m-marry m-me?"

The only sound that could be heard were the sound of the sniffles coming from Kyouka, as tears welled up in her eyes and trailed down her blushing cheeks.

"Y-Yes…Yes! Of course I'll marry you, Izuku," cried Kyouka as she almost tackled her new fiancé to the ground when she hugged him.

Happiness swelled up in Izuku as his own eyes tear up when he returned the hug. He then took the velvet box and opened it, showing off the ring to Kyouka.

Whereas the ring he originally bought for Uraraka was a diamond ring with a gold band, this one was amethyst with a silver band.

"I even had it inscribed," said Izuku as he showed her the inside of the band.

My Better Half, My Beautiful Kyouka

Tears renewed in Kyouka's eyes as Izuku slipped the ring on her ring finger where she continued to admire it. "It's beautiful, Izu-kun, but it must have cost a fortune."

"You're worth it, Kyouka," replied Izuku as he kissed her temple. "Besides, I used the money I got from selling the ring I originally got for Uraraka and just added the difference."

Kyouka let out a giggle before giving her future husband a kiss. "You know, the moment your mom sees this ring she's going to flood the place."

"…And your dad is probably going to kill me," added Izuku with a slight shudder as that fact made its way to the forefront.

"If he does then he's not invited to the wedding."

"If he does there won't BE a wedding!"

"All the more reason to make sure you live."

Another giggle escaped Kyouka as Izuku let out a groan. She then stood on her tiptoes so she could lock lips with the greenie that held her heart. Izuku gladly returned the kiss as he hands started to roam her curves.

Needless to say they were a little late making it to the get together, but when Inko and Mika saw the ring, that more than made up for it.

Wanted to try my hand at an "Ochaco cheats on Izuku" fic, but with my own little twist.

Most cheat fics have her with Bakugou to hurt Izuku even more. A few have had her with Iida, which is completely out of character for the speedster. He's like a dog, loyal to a fault, and would immediately inform Izuku should Ochaco try anything. I went with Akatani Mikumo, who is actually the concept version of Izuku. I made him an asshole because if you've ever seen the Akatani sketches, he and his hero costume actually look like a villainous version of Izuku. Think of Akatani as the Owlman to Izuku's Batman.

As for Ochaco's reason for cheating…I went with money for two reasons. One, every other cheating fic I've seen doesn't actually give a reason for Ochaco's cheating. She seems to cheat on Izuku just for the sake of cheating. And two, I wanted to make her somewhat similar to Nami from One Piece, in that even after she got the money she needed to accomplish her goal (Nami's to free her village and Ochaco's to make her parents' lives easier) she would still be obsessed with money. The only difference here is that Ochaco became selfish in the end.
