Author's Note: Sorry for the wait. I promise, this chapter is a lot longer than the first one because we are starting the story in this chapter. There is a time leap because there is a little bit more prologue before we start with the book.

Disclaimer: I don't not own Harry Potter, I only own the OC.

Anyways...LET'S GET ON WITH THE STORY!...

Lupin Cottage, Near the tree lining of the Forest of Dean

For Halloween, Remus got a costume for Selene and wanted to surprise Lily and James. He took her to the cottage to dress her up and to make dinner for everybody before heading over to the Potter's.

Remus had just finished putting the Little Red Riding Hood costume (he was a marauder at heart) and was in the middle of making dinner before he heard a knock on the door. Remus looked up confused. Who would be here at this time that could get through my wards? He thought. He was wary because he couldn't feel the person enter the wards.

He drew his wand and put an array of complex wards around Selene, who was sound asleep in her carrier. He also added a disillusionment charm for extra measure. He edged towards the door and looked outside the window to see Dumbledore and McGonagall standing outside the door. He relaxed, but only slightly as he wasn't sure that it was really Dumbledore, so he opened the door slowly to reveal his wand pointing in the direction of the two professors.

Dumbledore gave a grim smile, but allowed them to do their protocols.

Remus first pointed his wand to Dumbledore. "Who is my mate?" Dumbledore almost smiled at that. The question was tricky as anyone who didn't know the truth would say either James or Sirius as they were technically his best mates.

"Selene Lily Potter." He replied without hesitation. McGonagall's eyes widened slightly as the only people who knew the truth was the marauders, Lily, Dumbledore, and now Professor McGonagall. Remus didn't waste time to point his wand at Minerva.

"Why was the Whomping Willow put in place?" He asked.

"To keep away unwanted visitors from your monthly transformations." She replied, not missing a beat. They didn't move or flinch when Dumbledore trained his wand at Remus's chest.

"What happened the day of November 10th, 1972?" He asked.

Remus gave a slight smile. "My best friends found out that I was a werewolf." He opened the door wider for the professors to step inside. He looked around outside before he shut the door and locked it with complicated spells. He wasn't taking any chance with his mate in the house.

He immediately went over to the sitting area to find that Dumbledore has made himself and Minerva comfortable and was making a kettle of piping hot tea. Dumbledore was in the middle of pouring the hot tea when he spoke up.

"I suppose you'd rather sit down for this." Dumbledore sighed.

"So let's start off. I suppose that you have Miss Potter here?" He asked. Remus nodded and took a few moments to take away the wards and charms that were covering the baby carrier, which held a sleeping baby. Minerva's sigh of relief was very quiet, but Remus still heard with his sensitive hearing. He was confused. Were they looking for her? Why would they be?

Remus grabbed Selene from the carrier and hugged her in his arms. "Did something happen?" He asked, rocking the baby back and forth.

Minerva's face dropped and unshed tears formed in her eyes. Dumbledore looked down in defeat. Remus was on high alert now. Something definitely happened.

"Albus, what is it?" Remus asked slowly, preparing for the worst. After a few moments, he finally got his answer.

"Voldemort killed James and Lily, Remus." Dumbledore said gravely.

Remus stilled and sucked in a sharp breath. No matter how much he prepared, he still wasn't ready for this.

"What?" He croaked out, not believing his ears.

"Harry is still alive, I've sent Hagrid to go and get him." Dumbledore added, Minerva blowing her nose in a handkerchief.

Remus couldn't believe what was happening. In one moment, everything was loud and silent at the same time. All he could hear was his frantic heartbeat as he tried to grasp onto one thought.

Voldemort killed James and Lily, Remus.

Voldemort killed James and Lily...

"No." He refused to believe it. "Please tell me that this is some sick joke. Please tell me this didn't happen!" He was breathing heavily and he was focusing on nothing and everything all at once. He could barely register Moony howling in the back of his mind of his packmates' demise. His limbs grew numb, and he couldn't feel the tears running down in streaks along his face.

He snapped out of it when a small, pudgy hand accidentally made skin contact with his hand. Everything suddenly slammed into him all at once and his breath was caught in his throat and he choked on his tears.

"I'm sorry Remus." McGonagall sniffled softly. "If there was only another way." She added, shaking her head in despair. She wiped her nose gently with the cloth.

Remus unconsciously tightened his hold on Selene and she turned in his arms as she craved his warmth. Remus looked down to see his tears hit the fabric of her costume. He looked up to see Dumbledore eye the bundle of red. Remus immediately knew what was going on.

"No." He stated simply.

Dumbledore sighed. "I'm sorry Remus, but it has to be this way."

"No." Remus demanded, his eyes flickering between amber and green. "You will not take our mate from us."

"Remus, it's for her own good. Selene and Harry's good." Dumbledore explained.

Remus whimpered as he felt all the sadness running through him. "Please let me keep her. Please." He pleaded.

Dumbledore shook his head. "I understand where you are coming from Mr. Lupin, but you've got to understand that you aren't her godfather, so you are not her legal guardian, and I will not separate her and Harry."

"Then give me both of them. I will be more than willing to take care of them. Just please." He tried again, but no avail.

"I'm sorry Remus, but you are neither of their godfathers, and considering your situation and condition, you are in no state to raise a child let alone two." Dumbledore looked at him with sympathy.

The Hogwarts Headmaster unintentionally took a jab at two of Remus's insecurities. He was a werewolf, and because of that, he couldn't hold a stable job and therefore couldn't make enough money.

Remus looked up. "Where are you taking them?" He asked finally.

"To their aunt and uncle's." Dumbledore stated, which prompted McGonagall to scoff. Remus dug in his mind to see what aunt and uncle they had.

Wait...

"Are you telling me that you are taking them to those wretched excuses of people?" Remus reared back in disgust and clung tightly to Selene, for the thought of sending Harry or Selene to that dratted place disgusted him. "Don't you remember that Lily's sister, Petunia, and her whale of a husband despise magic with all their might? How the hell do you expect them to live with people like that?! No, absolutely not!" Remus stood up from his seat, prompting Albus to rise also, wand drawn.

"Remus, calm down. They are their only blood relatives and naturally, they become their guardians if something were to happen to their parents, which unfortunately...something did." Remus now realized that Dumbledore's twinkle that was usually there was nowhere in sight the whole time since he arrived.

After a few tense minutes, Remus sighed and backed down reluctantly. He hung his head and buried his nose in his mate's neck, taking in her scent, engraving it into his mind for years to come.

He knew he had to say goodbye.

Remus looked up slowly at the professors that gave him pity looks. He sighed and closed his eyes.

"Can I have this last...goodbye." He choked out the words, his mind not letting them able to form. Dumbledore gave him a soft smile and nodded.

"We'll give you two a minute." And with that, the two elders exited the room to leave Remus and Selene alone.

Remus turned to the baby in his arms. "I promise that I'll be there one day. For now, you and Harry will live together and I want you guys to have each other's backs no matter what. You will grow to be beautiful and brilliant in more ways than one just like your parents. I love you with all my heart Selene Lily Potter." He placed a kiss on her forehead. Remus's eyes never stopped spilling tears and they just kept on coming. He buried his face one more time before he left to his front porch where the professors were at.

The professors turned when they heard the door open. "I would ask how you got through my charms, but never mind that." Remus waved him off because Dumbledore was known to be a very powerful wizard. Dumbledore smiled at him, but it didn't quite reach his eyes.

Minerva gently opened her arms to carry the baby. Remus hesitated and sighed before he carefully put the slumbering girl in the Transfiguration professor's arms. Minerva held her close to her chest and smiled softly at the peaceful face of the baby. She slept through all that has transpired and had no clue that the murders of her parents and the attempted murder of her brother took place.

"Please don't make me regret this decision." Remus closed his eyes and breathed in deeply.

Dumbledore put a comforting hand on the younger man's shoulder. "Of course you won't regret it." His hand slid down as they turned to walk away with Remus's mate along with them. They were about to leave when Dumbledore turned around.

"I really am sorry for your loss." And with that, the witch and wizard disapperated along with Remus's heart. The man in question went back inside his house, but not before reinforcing his wards and charms around his house. He sat down on the couch that he habited a few minutes ago, but this time without his mate in his arms.

He sighed and put his head in his arms, tears still streaking down his face. He thought back to all that had just been revealed today.

James murdered.

Lily murdered.

Sirius is the spy, that fucking traitor.

The love of his life was ripped away from him no matter how much he tried.

His life was going to suck for the next few years.

With Dumbledore and McGonagall...

The 2 magicals apparated in the corner of a street. They didn't even seem to realize that they had just arrived in a place where everything that they support was not welcome here. Albus rummaged through his robes to find his Put-Outer, and once he found it, he lifted it up in the air and opened it.

All of a sudden, the lights one by one popped as they went out. He clicked it 12 times before all the lights in the street were out. He put it back in his coat as the baby whimpered, hearing the loud popping noises. The transfiguration professor rocked the baby and shushed her until she fell back asleep.

"Albus, what are we doing here?" Minerva asked, eyes narrowing. Albus sighed and gave her a knowing look.

"You know exactly why we are here Minerva." He pointed out. Minerva turned to him fully.

"You don't mean- you can't mean the people who live here?" She cried, pointing to Number 4 Privet Drive.

Dumbledore gave a small smile. "Judging by that sentence, you have probably been here long enough to know who they are." He raised his brows.

Minerva turned her nose up and sniffed. "Yes I have. Dumbledore, you can't. I've been watching them all day. You couldn't find 2 people who are less like us. Their pig of a son was throwing tantrums left and right for some sweets! Harry Potter and his sister, come and live here?!"

"It's the best place for them." Albus said firmly. "His aunt and uncle will explain everything to them when they reach of age. I've written them a letter." He stated.

Minerva blanched. "A letter? You think you can explain all of this in a letter? Harry will be famous! They won't understand what he will go through when he's older! I wouldn't be surprised in the next month that someone has written books about him! Every child in our world will know his name." She said faintly.

Dumbledore donned a serious face. "Exactly. Famous before he can walk or talk! Famous for something...he won't even remember. Can't you see that this will be too much for his tiny little mind?" He defended.

Professor McGonagall thought it over before she gave her answer. Albus nodded and continued walking.

"How's Harry getting here?" She looked over from where she was looking at the sleeping baby in her arms.

"Hagrid's bringing him here." He stated simply. Minerva's eyes widened slightly.

"Are you sure it would be wise for Hagrid to handle this task?" She asked hesitantly, not wanting to offend the half-giant.

"I trust him with my life." Dumbledore stated firmly, not looking over at Minerva.

"Of course his heart's in the right place, but he is quite careless and-" She got cut off with a distant grumbling sound. "What was that?"

They both turned around to see a single light coming from the sky. The grumbling grew louder as a motorbike fell onto the road in front of them.

As the motorbike stopped, Hagrid got off the muggle contraption and lifted the goggles from his eyes.

"Hagrid, where on earth did you get that thing?" Minerva looked at the machine warily, holding Selene closer to her chest.

"Borrowed it from Sirius Black ma'am." Hagrid nodded, grabbing something from his coat. "I've got him sir." He told the headmaster.

"No problems I hope?" Dumbledore said nonchalantly, acting normal, but mentally he panicked when he heard the name Sirius Black.

"No sir, the house was almost destroyed, but I got him out of there alright before people started swarmin'. Little Harry here fell asleep as we was flying over Bristol." He gestured to the sleeping boy in his arms.

The professors saw Harry's lightning-shaped scar when they looked at him closely.

"Is that where..." McGonagall trailed off, not wanting to say more.

"Yes, he'll have that forever." Albus whispered.

"Could you do something about it, Albus?" Minerva grimaced at the fresh scar. Albus immediately refused and stated his point.

"Let's get this over with. Hagrid, hand me Harry." Dumbledore said as Hagrid gave him the raven-haired baby. Dumbledore and McGonagall turned towards the Dursley's house and walked down the walkway before Hagrid stopped them.

"Can I say bye to them, sir?" He asked, already sniffling.

Dumbledore agreed. Hagrid gave both of them kisses and cried, Minerva scolding Hagrid as he was bawling loudly. Dumbledore and McGonagall walked up to the Dursley's door and they set the babies down. Minerva transfigured a rock into a blanket and wrapped the baby girl she was holding before putting her down. Dumbledore placed the letter he mentioned on Harry's bundle and turned to walk away. They walked back to the sidewalk and turned to face the babies, the 3 watching the bundles in solemn silence.

"Good luck, Harry and Selene." Dumbledore spoke softly.

They each said their goodbyes and left. Harry and Selene turned around in their bundles to face each other, Harry unconsciously reaching over to his sister to grab her hand. He didn't know that he was special, he didn't know he was famous, he didn't know that he along with his sister would be woken in a few hours by his aunt's scream and his baby sister's cries. And he couldn't possibly know that all over his country, people were toasting to 'the boy who lived!'"

Almost 10 years later...

Selene was dreaming about a man. He had blurry features, so she couldn't discern him, but all she felt was that she had some sort of attachment to this man.

But she didn't know why. She's had this dream many times, but even if nothing happened in it, she could be in that dream for as long as she could.

But unfortunately, this wasn't one of these days.

Rap. Rap. Rap. She heard the door jiggle. "Get up you two! Get up!" She heard the shrill voice of her Aunt Petunia. She groaned quietly so she wouldn't get a beating for it.

She opened her eyes when the warmth around her waist faded away. She turned her head to see the sleepy, blind eyes of her brother, Harry Potter. She smiled and he smiled back.

"Same dream again?" Harry asked. Harry, of course, knew about all of her dreams as he was her only confidant and she told him everything and vice versa. She nodded and rubbed away her sleepy eyes, Harry doing the same and grabbing his Sellotaped glasses. He put them on and blinked away the cloudiness to see his sister yawning.

"Come on, let's hurry. Don't want Uncle Vernon to get mad." They both shuddered at that thought. They quickly got out of the cupboard and straightened themselves out as best as they could. They walked into the kitchen and Selene went straight to making the orange juice and coffee as Harry tended to the bacon and eggs.

As their Uncle Vernon walked into the room, the two siblings immediately sucked in a sharp breath and didn't look anywhere besides what they were doing, stiffly doing their jobs.

You might think: why are they so afraid of their uncle? The reason is that ever since they were old enough to do chores (which was at the tender age of 3), they were also old enough to be punished for not doing their chores correctly. Harry, being the protective brother he was meant to be, took the brunt of it and suffered the consequences for his sisters mistakes, not wanting his sister to go through so much pain. Of course, Selene had been punished before many times, she had the scars to prove it.

She had welts all over her back, a scar on her jaw and behind her neck, and burns on her sides. Currently, she had bruises across her stomach, and on her arms and legs. Harry had the exact same, just more scars on his legs and back. Uncle Vernon had been very careful not to put any scars on their arms or anywhere visible in case someone notices, which anyone wouldn't anyways.

Selene's scar on her chin was an exception. Uncle Vernon was drunk one night as she was up late doing dishes, and the next moment, the beer bottle he was holding was broken and Selene was on the floor, being hit by the bottle. Harry had been pissed, but he couldn't do anything in favor of not getting punished.

They had no friends. None absolutely whatsoever. Dudley and his gang of idiots chased away anyone who came close to them and convinced everybody, even the teachers, that they are weird and dumb. Probably made up some story that they were crazy or had some sort of dangerous disease. Long story short, the 2 siblings did not not look their age at all, they were extremely skinny and short compared to everyone else on their grade.

"Comb your hair! Tuck in your shirt!" Their uncle barked in his way of a greeting.

"Yes, Uncle Vernon." They immediately replied, not wanting to delay their response, or otherwise they would suffer the consequences.

Soon, their blond pig of a cousin bounded into the room, going to his presents instead of greeting his parents. Selene prepped her aunt and uncle's coffee how they liked it and the kids' orange juice as Harry served their plates, including his and Selene's (their aunt and uncle thought it fair enough that Harry and Selene would get the scraps of the food they make).

Their aunt and uncle started eating without recognizing Harry's presence and watched Dudley count his presents.

Dudley's ugly face fell. "Thirty-six. That's two less than last year." He turned to his parents.

"Duddykins, you haven't counted Aunt Marge's present right here, see?" Aunt Petunia cooed at him.

"Alright then, thirty-seven." Dudley's face contorted and turned red. Harry and Selene glanced at each other and wolfed down their bacon before their pig of a cousin threw a tantrum and flipped the table or something. Aunt Petunia also saw this and took action, telling them that they will buy two presents later. Dudley calmed down, much to the relief of the Potter siblings.

After they watched Dudley open his presents, Petunia was talking to her whale of a husband, saying that Mrs. Figg couldn't take care of them as they went to the zoo. The siblings panicked because their only break from the Dursley's was to be with Mrs. Figg, no matter how boring it was there. Harry even mentioned leaving the two of them there, but that was quickly shot down by by Petunia.

Dudley started to fake cry and complained about the 'two freaks' ruining his birthday, Petunia agreeing with him. His sobs only ceased when his friend with a rat face, Piers Polkiss, arrived.

In thirty minutes, to Harry and Selene's dismay, the kids were riding in the backseat of their uncle's car on their way to the zoo. Honestly, Selene would rather eat one of Mrs. Figg's stale cakes than go to the zoo with her cousin. At least Harry was there with her.

When they arrived, Mrs. Dursley took the 2 friends to the entrance of the zoo as Uncle Vernon pulled them aside. Harry slowly pushed his sister behind him as their uncle turned to them with a dangerous face.

"Any funny business, you'll both be in that cupboard from now until Christmas! Understood?" He barked. The two siblings nodded frantically and Vernon gave them a sneer before walking off, the kids following not so closely behind him.

When they went into the reptile house, the two siblings followed as their cousin found the largest snake in the place. The snake was humongous, probably could've wrapped itself around Uncle Vernon's car twice, but it looked asleep and not in the mood to do anything.

"Make it move." Dudley said from his position against the glass. Vernon tapped the glass, but it didn't work.

"Do it again." Dudley ordered his father. He did it again, but the snake snoozed on.

As Dudley got bored and dragged his friend off to another enclosure, Harry and Selene finally made their way to the tank to see the reptile. The snake 'woke up' as it blinked its eyes open. The snake moved to eye level with Harry and-

It winked.

What the... Harry and Selene thought. Harry looked around to see if anyone was watching before he winked back. The snake gestured to their relatives before giving a look that only Harry understood.

"I know." Harry hissed. Selene's eyes bulged out of her head. Was Harry trying to entertain her or something? Selene almost went through with that thought until it seemed like the snake understood his hissing and answered back with a gesture.

"Where did you come from?" Harry started hissing again. Harry was having a conversation with a snake! What on earth was going on?!

"Was it nice there?" Harry continued to converse with the boa until-

"Dudley! Mr. Dursley! Come and look at this snake! You won't believe what it's doing!" Piers yelled. Dudley immediately waddled his way over as fast as his chubby legs could go.

"Move out of my way freaks." He caught the siblings by surprise when he punched both of them in the stomach. They fell to the floor in pain, only to sit up and glare at the back of their heads.

Man, I really want to grab that fat kid's head and smash it against that-

Selene's eyes widened the next moment as her thoughts somehow came through and, if like with an invisible hand, both the boys' heads were pushed forward and their faces smashed into the glass. The next moment, the glass was gone, and being dizzy from the head injury, they stumbled into the enclosure.

The two boys sat up, but they paused as their eyes widened, staring at the escaping snake. Selene watched as the snaked passed them and hissed at Harry. She for sure was going to talk to him later, but first, she was going to mentally laugh at the expense of Dudley and Piers as her cousin sported a bloody forehead from the impact and Piers had a broken nose that was dripping blood constantly.

Did I really do that? That would be so cool, but Uncle Vernon would punish me if he knew what I was thinking of. Selene shook herself out of her thoughts to look at the running and screaming people escape the reptile house. Her and Harry turned to each other with wide eyes and at that moment, only one thought ran through both of their heads:

What just happened?

After they got everything sorted out with the keeper of the reptile house, they headed home. As Piers and Dudley calmed down from the whole ordeal, Piers had to say something that damned the Potter siblings.

"You two were talking to it, weren't you guys?" He asked, supporting a bloody napkin on his nose. Dudley was doing the same to his cut up forehead.

"No I wasn't..." Selene's reply fell on deaf ears as her uncle turned a deadly purple in the front seat and clutched the wheel till his hands were white. Harry and Selene gulped as they knew what was coming. But nothing happened as they dropped off Piers, and they drove home.

When they got out of the car, immediately, Vernon bounded over to them and grabbed them by their ears, leading them to their basement as Petunia led Dudley inside to distract him with the TV. Harry and Selene knew not to resist as the punishment would be worse, but Selene was still whimpering as her uncle held her ear in a death grip. Harry heard her whimpers and grabbed her hand.

Selene turned her head as best as she could and gave him a watery smile, Harry doing the same. He rubbed his thumb over her hand in a comforting way as and their uncle threw them to the floor and left to go get something.

Harry promptly went over to his sister and hugged her as she silently cried. "Don't worry My Moon, everything will be alright. Later, someone will find us, and they'll take us away. Shh Shh, it's okay." Harry lightly brushed his fingers through her fiery red locks. Selene's body was still racking with sobs as their uncle came back with a rolled up wire.

A whip. Harry cursed in his head. His sister wasn't going to suffer any consequences if he had anything to do with it. And Merlin was he going to do something about it.

"Uncle Vernon, it was my fault! I don't know how, but one minute the glass was there, then it was gone! It was like magic!-" Harry instantly shut up. He just made his punishment worse than what it was going to be. Everyone in the family knew that the word 'magic' was forbidden to be spoken of in this household.

Well...at least all the attention was on him, not Selene.

Uncle Vernon turned fuchsia as his face contorted to a scowl. He stared at Harry as his fat arm pointed to the door that lead to the hallway. Selene knew it was for her, but she hesitated as she knew Harry was going to get it real bad.

She gave Harry a pleading look, but Harry stared right into her hazel eyes and his own green ones shined with an expression that said, 'Go, I'll be fine.' She knew that was bullshit, but she reluctantly ran up the steps and out of the basement before her uncle turned as tears streaked down her face.

It's all my fault. She thought as more tears streamed down her cheeks. What she didn't know was that she hurt the boys and Harry made the glass disappear. To her, it was all her fault. She went to their cupboard and stayed there until Harry came back.

It was a while before Harry came back, but when he did, what Selene saw made her start sobbing again.

Harry was limping badly and he was holding himself up against the wall as blood dribbled down his back. His face was stained with silent tears and it was scrunched up in pain. Selene didn't have to see his back in order for her know that he had welts. He was holding his shirt because the fabric of the shirt would irritate the fresh wounds.

Selene gasped and stood up abruptly to grab her brother by the biceps, to which he winced.

"Why did you do that?" She choked out. Harry brought a hand to her face, trailing it along her temple down her cheeks to end up cupping her cheek.

"I did it for you." He rasped out. Then, he fell unceremoniously onto the bed that Selene was just occupying and promptly passed out. Selene's body kept shaking as she sobbed, kneeling beside her brother to look at the wounds.

Ever since she reached the tender age of 5, she was just as knowledgeable as a nurse when it came to cuts and bruises. She had found a book in the public library that was meant for medical students, but she still read it and surprisingly (with the help of Harry) she understood how to treat cuts, what to look for in infections, and other things.

So every time Uncle Vernon or their cousin Dudley would beat them up, Selene would be the one to heal their cuts. Harry, of course, would help when she couldn't reach her own cuts, but Harry wasn't as great at it as his sister was. "It just comes natural to me." She would always say.

She looked at the dried blood clogging up in his wounds, but she would have to sneak out later so she could properly heal his wounds and he won't get some sort of disease or something. She sighed and wiped her face from any stray tears. She pushed her brother to one side of the bed and set him up comfortably as someone with a fractured leg would be. She stared, with a grim expression at his passed out form for a long moment before she shut the cupboard door and immediately started cooking dinner.

When the family started eating, the family was acting like nothing was wrong. She clutched her fork until her knuckles turned white as they were laughing and talking about Vernon's work and pretending that a broken and bloodied boy was not in their cupboard at the moment. Dudley kept on complaining and talking about his 'perfect friends' as his parents gushed over him. This irked Selene. Sadly, she couldn't do anything as she didn't want to face the punishment, but that didn't mean that she couldn't curse them to hell in her mind.

When they were done, Selene picked up all their dishes and washed them as the rest of the family went to the front room to watch television for exactly 30 minutes before they went off to bed.

Yes. Selene knew their schedule perfectly. Of course she would, she had to sneak out a lot. But there were days where someone found her sneaking out, hence the reason why she had scars.

After she washed the dishes, she sneakily took the leftovers of the large dinner she made and put it in one of the bowls and quickly brought it to the cupboard. She opened the door and put the dish on one of the shelves and closed the door behind her.

She sat on one edge of the bed and looked at Harry. She didn't want to wake him up right now in favor of letting him get his rest after that beating. She waited and eyed the watch that Harry stole from the trashcan when Dudley thought it didn't work anymore.

When the clock reached 9:30, she opened the cupboard slowly, looking to see if there were anybody out. She saw all the lights out in the family room and dining room, so she took that cue to go and run up the stairs (skipping the creaky step), and went to the bathroom where she knew the alcohol, ointment, and cotton balls were.

Once she grabbed them, she ran back to the cupboard without getting caught and quickly started setting up her 'workspace'. She didn't need to get wraps as her and Harry have stolen the old and used wraps that Aunt Petunia didn't use.

She prodded Harry to wake him up so he won't be awoken by the pain. Harry groggily rubbed his face, but stayed in the position because of the pain and because he knew what his sister was going to do. Harry prepared himself.

She first started on the fresh wounds as the fracture could wait a little longer. She grabbed the alcohol and soaked the cotton balls with the liquid. She waited till Harry gave her the thumbs up, and went ahead with cleaning his wounds.

Harry hissed quietly, but otherwise didn't make any noises to indicate that he was in pain, his face being the only indicator as it was scrunched up from the pain.

Selene made quick work to clean his wounds and rub medicine before she grabbed one of the wraps (clean, they weren't that stupid) and with the help of Harry lifting his body, she got the wraps around his waist and back, covering the welts. When she finished wrapping Harry, she looked down at the increasingly swelling leg and sighed.

It's all my fault. She thought, unshed tears welling up in her eyes. Harry knew what she was thinking when she paused and reached over to grab her hand.

"It's not your fault." He said, lifting his head to face her. "I said the word and knew the consequences. Don't blame yourself because I'd rather be here than you be in this position. Anyways, you can practice becoming a doctor with me." He smiled, trying to bring up the mood. It worked partially.

Selene laughed while still crying. No matter the situation, her brother never failed to make her smile. She swatted him on her arm and started to work on his leg. That didn't take long as all she needed to do was to wrap it so the leg can heal in the proper spot.

"Now don't you move." She pointed a finger at her older brother as he rolled his eyes.

"I've been in this position many times before to know what to do." He deadpanned, making Selene let out a sarcastic laugh.

"Oh hardy har har." She said sarcastically to which Harry replied with sticking his tongue out at her.

She immediately had a random thought cross through her mind. "Harry...what exactly happened at the zoo?" She asked him.

Harry furrowed his brows. "Honestly, I don't know. The glass just disappeared..." He trailed off, thinking back to earlier that day.

Selene gave him a confused look. "If you didn't talk to the snake to entertain me, then what were you saying to the snake?" She narrowed her eyes when Harry gave her a confused look.

"You were there! You heard me!" He exclaimed not-so loudly as he didn't want to wake up their relatives.

"You were actually speaking to it? I heard you hissing." She crossed her arms.

"I was hissing?" Harry's voice lowered, so she could barely hear him.

"Harry, if this is some joke, stop. You already took it way too far when you got punished for it." She raised her brow. Harry scowled at her.

"This isn't some joke! You heard me ask it questions! You even heard it say something when it escaped!" He pointed out, hoping he wasn't going crazy.

She shook her head. "No I didn't, Harry. It was hissing. I...I think you can understand snakes." She put her hand up when Harry was going to retort. "I know it sounds crazy, but when has anything around us ever make sense? Remember when we teleported to the roof when we were being chased by Dudley's gang? Or when my teacher's chair flew across the room when I got mad? Or when Aunt Petunia shaved your hair off and it grew back overnight? Nothing around us makes sense!" Selene whispered yelled, waving her hands everywhere.

Harry nodded. "That's true, but you've got to see it from my point of view, I'm not supposed to be talking to a snake! Or any animal at that! Don't you see this looks unbelievable?" He told her.

She huffed. "I know this sounds crazy, but that's the only reason I can think of! Face it Harry, unexplainable things do happen around us." She sighed. Harry begrudgingly agreed with her.

She gave him a empathetic smile before returning the stuff she took (luckily without getting caught) and got back to the cupboard to lay down with Harry.

Harry spooned her and brought her back to his chest. "It's okay My Moon, everything will be alright. Sooner or later..." Selene drifted off to sleep with that hopeful thought.

A few weeks later...

For the past few weeks, Selene and Harry made a good, working system. Since Harry was not allowed out of his cupboard (unless it was to make meals or go to the bathroom), at school, Selene went to his teacher everyday to get his work and Harry would work on it when she brought it home so he wouldn't fail. The teacher just gave the work to her without asking for a reason why Harry never showed up for class.

Also, every night, Selene would sneak in the leftovers of the dinner she made that day because Harry wasn't allowed to eat at all, even whatever he made for breakfast and lunch.

Selene felt bad as she thought she could've done more, but Harry quickly shot down that thought and expressed his gratitude when he (without Selene's help) cleaned her wounds. That day, Uncle Vernon got mad when someone else at Grunnings got the the position of CEO and not him and she was the first one he found.

When Harry was finally let out of his cupboard, school had finished and the summer holidays had started. He found out by his sister that Dudley already broken half of his birthday gifts and had even hurt Mrs. Figg by accident when he was playing with one of his toys.

When they were allowed to go out (which was often because they finished their chores fast considering they had teamed up a lot), they were only allowed to go to the park, but they had to be home early to start making dinner.

The only reason why they did this is so the neighbors wouldn't get suspicious when the other kids who lived with the Dursley's would never be let out of the house. There was just one problem with going to the park:

Potter Hunting.

Harry and Selene would always evade them the best they could because they may not look like it, but they were wicked fast. Dudley would never tell his parents cause that would mean admitting that he was fat and slow.

Whenever they went to Mrs. Figg's, it was the best time out of the whole summer. Even though others would deem it to be boring, they actually got interesting stories about cats and they watched shows on the telly for the first time there.

One day in July, Aunt Petunia enrolled Dudley into Uncle Vernon's old school, Smeltings. Selene and Harry were having a field day when they tried not to laugh at their big and stupid cousin parading around the house in his uniform.

The only downside was Dudley's Smeltings stick. He almost broke Selene's leg when he whacked it on the back of her leg with full force. Other than that, he would use it to trip or hit any of his cousins, their aunt and uncle turning a blind eye each time.

Selene felt bad for her brother when one day, Aunt Petunia made her dye Dudley's clothing gray so Harry can wear it when he goes to Stonewall High. To the siblings, it would look like old elephant skin on him.

She wasn't as lucky either. She was even smaller than Harry, but they still made her wear Dudley's old clothes, so they looked even bigger on her. Even the underwear! Her nor Harry had ever owned their own clothes and it looked very degrading. The only clothes that actually fit them almost good was the clothes Dudley owned when he was 3. But they opted out of that when the designs were very childish and had vomit stains that Aunt Petunia couldn't get out.

After Harry cooked breakfast, Mr. Dursley barked at him to go get the mail. When Harry came back, Selene noticed that he was staring at a letter in his hands as he passed the other letters to their uncle. She was going to go and whisper to Harry to go back and hide it in the cupboard, but unfortunately, Dudley saw the letter.

"Dad! Harry's got something!" He said suddenly, startling Selene and Harry, who had the letter in his hands taken away from him immediately. Harry disregarded all of his beatings in the next thing he said.

"That's mine!" Harry said, trying to snatch his letter back. Selene gasped and her hands flew to her mouth, the Potter siblings have never talked back to anybody, ever. Dudley and Aunt Petunia looked at Harry with wide eyes. Harry didn't mind them as he stood there, facing Uncle Vernon.

"Don't you talk back to me, boy! And who'd be writing to you?" Vernon sneered at him. Vernon was red at this point in contained rage. Vernon quickly turned back to the letter in his hands and opened the letter that Harry was about to open.

When he glanced at it, his face went from red to green faster then a set of traffic lights. Within seconds, his face was the greyish-white of old porridge. Selene's face went from worried for her brother to confused about her uncle's reaction to Harry's letter. Harry was confused also, already expecting to be in the basement by now.

"P-P-Petunia!" He gasped out.

Dudley made a grab for it, but his mother snatched it in time. She read it for only 2 seconds before her eyes widened and blood drained from her face.

"Vernon! Oh my goodness- Vernon!" She choked out. All the kids in the room were ignored, and Dudley, not used to being ignored, hit his dad with his Smeltings stick.

"I want to read that letter!" He ordered his dad.

"I want to read it, as it's mine." Harry said furiously.

"Get out, all of you!" Mr. Dursley shouted. Selene walked out of the kitchen, but when she turned around, she facepalmed her forehead as Harry didn't move. Did he want to get hurt?! She asked herself.

"Harry." She hissed lowly, but he ignored her.

"I want my letter!" He shouted at their uncle. Selene paled. She didn't want to know what was going to happen to him.

"Let me see it!" Dudley demanded.

"OUT!" Roared Uncle Vernon as he grabbed the scruff of each of the boys' necks and threw them out into the hall, much to the surprise of Selene: Vernon never did anything to his son.

When the boys started fighting about who would listen at the door, Selene rolled her eyes. Idiots. She thought, heading over to the entryway of the living room because there was no wall between the living room and to kitchen. She plastered herself against the wall stealthily.

"Vernon." Petunia quivered. "Look at the address, how could they possibly know where he sleeps? They might even know about Selene too! You don't think they're watching the house?"

"Watching, spying, might be following us." Vernon muttered like a crazed man.

"But what should we do Vernon? Should we write back? Tell them we don't want-" Vernon cut off her rant.

"No. We'll ignore it...yes, that's best...we won't do anything..." Vernon thought about it. To Selene, it looked like her uncle might've been on the verge of madness.

"But-"

"I'm not having one in the house, let alone two, Petunia!" He scolded his wife. "Didn't we swear when we took them in we'd stamp out that dangerous nonsense?"

Selene's brows furrowed. Stamp out what? Is he talking about us? Well he obviously must be when he said 'took them in'. But what is he talking about? Her mind started wondering when she heard the door to the hallway opened.

"Well Dudley, I'm off to work. Be a good boy for your mother." He said goodbye to his son, ignoring the two siblings who ran into the cupboard.

"What were they talking about?" Harry immediately got to the point when they knew they were alone.

Selene thought for a moment. "I'm not sure, but I reckon it must be about us. He said and I quote, 'when we took them in'. Who else did they take in besides us? When mum and dad died, someone probably took us to them." Selene explained.

Harry glowered. "Yeah, what good they did." He muttered sarcastically. Selene shrugged.

"How were they supposed to know this would happen? Anyways, they said stamp out the dangerous nonsense? What do you think they are talking about?" She wondered.

"Well maybe this connects to what you keep saying about my snake speaking? Although I don't know how speaking to snakes can be dangerous..." He trailed off in thought.

The siblings racked their minds for a few minutes trying to connect the two when all of a sudden, Selene snapped her fingers, startling Harry.

"I've got it! I think...Maybe it's all these things that have been happening around us! Remember how I mentioned that nothing makes sense? All the things that we've never done, but somehow always get blamed and punished for it? Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon know something that we don't!" Selene surmised.

Harry smiled, showing all his surprisingly pearly whites. He hugged her and ruffled her hair. "Ellie, you're a genius! I knew you weren't the smart one for nothing." Selene laughed and struggled against his grip. When Harry finally let go, she sat up straight and her hair looked like a bird's nest. Harry started laughing hard as Selene tried her best to get her hair back to the original straight locks that she usually had.

Selene shoved him. "Shut up you prat. It's not like you're any better." She teased, pulling on Harry's messy hair. He narrowed his eyes and slapped her hand away. She giggled.

When Mr. Dursley finally came home in the evening, he went straight to the cupboard, much to the Potter siblings horror and surprise.

"Where's my letter? Who's writing to me?" Harry immediately asked him as he opened the door. Selene flicked his arm to make him stop, but Harry paid no attention. She rolled her eyes. He's such an idiot.

"No one. It was addressed to you by mistake. I've burned it." Vernon said shortly.

Harry clenched his fists. "It wasn't a mistake. It had my cupboard on it." He said angrily. Selene felt worried. If Harry kept on feeling brave, something bad is going to happen to him and Selene didn't think her nor her brother could handle it.

"SILENCE!" Roared Uncle Vernon. Dirt, dust, and spiders fell from the ceiling at the sound. Selene and Harry winced.

Surprisingly, Vernon took a few deep breaths and then contorted his face into something painful looking.

"Follow me. Take your stuff." He ordered the siblings. They glanced at each other with wide eyes. Is he kicking us out?! They got worried.

When they got their things (which wasn't much), they follow their uncle upstairs and went to the smallest bedroom, which was Dudley's second bedroom.

Their eyes widened dramatically. What are we doing here? They thought. They walked inside to see two lumpy and dusty beds (why did Dudley need 3 beds, no one knew) sitting on each corner of the room.

"Clean this up! Boy, you start making dinner!" He barked at the siblings. They immediately went to their stations. Selene went to grab a broom, a mop, a duster, and cleaning liquid. She went back up to the room and started working.

When she was almost finished, Harry, with a plate of dinner, walked in quietly behind her and closed the door softly. He snuck up to her and tapped her shoulder.

"HEY!" Harry shouted in her ear, effectively scaring his sister as she squeaked in fear and jumped a meter in the air. Harry started laughing loudly and clutched his stomach as he howled in laughter. His sister's scolding fell on deaf ears as he just kept on laughing at her.

Selene let a small smile slip through her mask. They haven't had a good laugh in a while, so Selene felt relieved and happy that they at least had this moment.

That night, Selene didn't even try to sleep on the other bed. She and Harry slept on his bed, not caring about if there was space or not. Selene snuggled up to Harry as he pulled her closer to his body, her head on his chest. They soon succumbed to the exhaustion.

July 29th, 1991

Over the next few days, Harry and Uncle Vernon have been fighting over the letter. Selene was really shocked that Uncle Vernon hasn't snapped yet and punished Harry.

She tried to stop Harry, but her attempts were half-hearted as she also wanted to know who wanted to contact Harry so bad and what was on that letter. Soon, her attempts stopped completely as they fell on deaf ears.

Somehow, these letters knew exactly where Harry slept as they mentioned the cupboard and the smallest bedroom. Selene thought this was very odd. No wonder Uncle Vernon started getting paranoid. They probably moved us to the bedroom not because they wanted to, but afraid that they were going to get caught by these people.

Today was Sunday. Uncle Vernon mentioned so, only because of the post.

"...no damn letters today-" He got cut off by an envelope that caught him on the back of the head. Selene covered her mouth as she tried not to laugh. One look at her brother told her that he was in the same predicament.

All of a sudden, a hundred or so letters flew out of the fireplace. Harry immediately jumped onto the table and tried to grab one of the flying letters.

Selene hit her forehead. Idiot. She thought. Suddenly, she got a mischievous idea and smirked. When she made sure no one was looking, she crouched down to the floor and grabbed a letter, stuffing it into her pants.

When Uncle Vernon successfully got everyone out of the dining room into the hallway, he yelled at everyone to grab their things because they were 'going away'. Harry grumbled under his breath and Selene smirked. She felt smug for the first time in her life as she would finally figure out what was in that damned letter.

When they arrived at a hotel in the middle of nowhere, that didn't work for Uncle Vernon as the next morning, a hundred letters showed up at the front desk.

When Dudley mentioned that it was Monday (count on Dudley to know the days of the week) and complained about his shows, Harry and Selene shared a secret smile. Harry's 11th birthday was tomorrow and Selene was excited because for the first time, she had a present for him.

Granted, it may not be much, but they have never gotten each other things as they didn't own anything, much less give someone something else. Their birthday gifts each year were hugs and cuddles, but that was all that they needed.

The brother and sister grew increasingly worried that their uncle might've gone mad. He was driving in the middle of nowhere, exiting the car, then coming back in, all the while muttering to himself, ignoring his wife's comments. The last time he did it, he was gone for a while.

When he came back, he was holding a mysterious briefcase that made Selene gulp. He stated that they were going to ride a random man's boat all the way to a house on the rocks, to where they were going to stay for the night. Turns out, he forced the two siblings to row the boat, which was proving to be very difficult as their uncle and cousin combined was over 226 kg (500 lbs).

Eventually, they made it to the house on the rocks. Everyone got out of the boat as Harry and Selene fell to the ground unceremoniously, clutching their throbbing arms as they groaned in pain. They eventually got up (not wanting to be sprayed by the cold and freezing water) and walked up to the door that entered the house.

When they opened the creaky door, what they saw made them scrunch their noses as they smelt the sea, mold, and fish among other things that made up the odor of the house. The fireplace that could've brought warmth to the cold and damp room was wet and there was no fire.

Uncle Vernon brought rations for him, Dudley, and Aunt Petunia, so Harry and Selene knew that they were going to starve, but they were used to it. Aunt Petunia got some moldy and moth-eaten blankets that she found in a closet and gave half of the blankets to Dudley while her and her husband took the rest.

Dudley took the couch in the living room as his parents took the only room there was, so the siblings had to make do with the cold, hard ground. It only took a few minutes before their pig of a cousin fell asleep. His snores kept them awake, but Selene still had to show Harry his present.

Harry eyed her as she started getting excited and bounced around in her spot. "Why are you so excited?" He asked warily. Selene rolled her eyes and swatted his arm.

"Ow!"

"Oh shut up. I've got you a present."

This made Harry sit up straight and a smile made it's way onto his face.

Selene couldn't contain her excitement. "Oh! I have to give it to you right now! I can't wait any longer!" She stuffed her hand into her pants and Harry's eyes widened in worry.

"Um...Elle?..." He started, but his voice faded as he saw the letter graciously made it's way into his line of vision. His eyes widened to the size of tea saucers.

"Bloody hell Elle, where did you get this?!" Harry asked, looking at the envelope as if it was the most precious thing on earth.

Selene scoffed. "While you were being an idiot trying to catch the letters from the air," Harry blushed at that, "I grabbed one from the floor and stuffed it in my pants." She brandished the letter in front of his eyes. "Well, aren't you going to open your present?" She smirked as Harry abruptly grabbed the letter from her grasp.

Harry tore it apart and opened the folded letter. Selene ran up behind him and looked at the letter's contents.

Selene's eyes widened for a second, but then she narrowed her eyes at the piece of paper.

Is this a joke? Was all she thought. She really wanted to believe it, but then she didn't want to believe it because of the doubts running through her brain.

"Is this a prank?" Harry voiced both of their thoughts. Selene thought through it, and the pros weighed out the cons.

"I don't think so. Don't you remember the argument Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon had a few days ago? They were talking about stamping things out of us. Do you think this might be it?" She reasoned.

Harry nodded after a moment. "By the way, your memory is amazing." He gave her a grin as she snorted.

"That's because yours isn't. Focus! Think about it: why do you think we can't say the word magic? Everything connects. The way something happens when our emotions are high, or when you talk to snakes, it must be magic!" Selene exclaimed, not worrying about keeping quiet.

Harry smiled. "Wow. We might actually be wizards."

Selene shrugged. "Maybe. But who knows?"

Selene turned to Dudley's watch and watched as the clock struck 12. She tackled Harry in a hug suddenly, bringing them to the floor in a fit of giggles.

"Happy Birthday, big brother." She said into the crook of his neck. Harry only tightened his arms that were around her waist.

BOOM!

All of a sudden, they hear booming sounds coming from the door and they jumped apart in surprise. They quickly scrambled to their feet as they see their uncle bound into the room with a rifle in his arms. Both of their eyes widened in fear as the door that led to the stormy outside was knocked clean off it's hinges.

Harry held Selene behind him when a giant man that was bigger than the door stepped inside the house. Selene held Harry's arm in a death grip as she was worried about the random man's appearance.

The giant slowly crouched down to the floor and grabbed the door to put back to where it was, blocking out some of the loud noises from the storm outside.

Harry eyed the 'threat' as he still held his sister behind him, trying to see what he will do. Selene just peered over his shoulder to look correctly at the giant.

"Couldn't make us a cup o' tea, could yeh? It's not been an easy journey..." He said, walking over to the couch

"Budge up, yeh great big lump." said the giant. Selene almost snorted out loud when Dudley waddled from the couch to hide behind his mum that was 3 times skinner than him.

"An' here's Harry and Selene!" The stranger exclaimed, not noticing when Harry's eyes narrowed and he pushed his sister back as he stepped back.

But his expression softened when he saw that the giant was smiling at him through the tangled and wild mane that the man called a beard.

"Last time I saw you both, you guys was only babies. Yeh both look a lot like yer parents. Harry, yeh look like yer dad, but yeh've got yer mum eyes and Selene, yeh look like yer mum, but yeh've got yer dad's eyes." He said with some nostalgia leaking through his voice.

In the background, Mr. Dursley made a choking noise.

"I demand that you leave at once sir! You are breaking and entering!" He tried to intimidate the giant, but he was failing miserably.

"Ah, shut up, Dursley, yeh great prune." The stranger made a quick show to bend the gun and continued on, ignoring the mouse-like noise that Mr. Dursley made.

The stranger surprised the siblings when he brought a homemade cake for Harry. It touched their hearts, but Harry's thoughts were running through his mind so quickly that he said the first thing that came to mind.

"Who are you?" He asked. Selene, who was standing next to Harry, smacked the back of his head.

"Ow! What was that for?" Harry rubbed the sore spot on his head. Selene just shook her head. The giant chuckled at their display of sibling love.

"True. I haven't introduced meself. Rubeus Hagrid, Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts." He held out his trash can lid-sized hands and shook Harry's whole arm and proceeded to do the same with Selene. Harry and Selene just stared at each other with wide eyes.

So the letter was true. They both thought. They immediately had blinding smiles spread across their faces as Hagrid made some tea. They watched as the giant bent over the fireplace (they couldn't see what he was doing) just to draw back and there was fire in the fireplace. Harry's and Selene's eyes widened in shock.

Hagrid took out many things from the many pockets that his oversized coat sported: a kettle, a package of sausages (Harry and Selene's mouth watered at the sight), a poker, a teapot, chipped mugs, and a bottle of amber liquid (firewhiskey, but the kids don't know that).

When the giant made the sausages, the smell filled up the room, prompting Dudley to fidget.

"Don't touch anything he gives you, Dudley." Uncle Vernon said sharply.

The giant chuckled darkly. "Yer great puddin' of a son don' need fattenin' any more, Dursley, don' worry" And with that, he handed the sausages to Selene and Harry, who gobbled them down because they were so hungry.

When nobody said anything, Selene spoke up. "Mr. Hagrid sir?"

"Jus' call me Hagrid." The giant cut in.

Selene smiled. "Hagrid, what can you tell us about Hogwarts? We only know that wizards go there, but to do what?" She asked.

Hagrid looked shocked. "Sorry." She said quickly, not wanting to offend the giant.

"Sorry?" He barked, making Harry hold on to Selene as she flinched. But they needn't worry as the giant turned his angry face to the Dursleys, who shrank back into the shadows. "It's them that should be sorry! I knew yeh weren't getting your letter but I never thought yeh wouldn't even know abou' Hogwarts, fer crying out-" Harry cut him off.

"Actually, we read one of the letters and we've found out about wizards and magic, but we didn't think it was real-" He got cut off also.

"YOU READ ONE OF THEOSE DAMNED LETTERS?!" Uncle Vernon roared, making them flinch and Hagrid turn to face him sharply. Vernon simply just cowered in the giant's withering gaze.

"Did any o' yeh ever wonder where yer parents learnt it all?" Hagrid carried on as if there was no distraction.

Harry and Selene exchanged curious glances. "All what?" Selene asked.

"ALL WHAT?!" Hagrid thundered. "Now wait jus' one second!" He leapt to his feet in anger.

"Do you mean ter tell me," He growled at the Dursleys, who cowered in fear again, "that these children- this boy and girl!- know nothin' abou'...abou' ANYTHING?!"

Harry spoke up. "I know some things. I can, you know, do maths and stuff." Selene sighed.

"Harry, I don't think you learn Math and English in a school of magic." She snickered at Harry's blush.

"I mean about our world. Your world. My world. Yer parents' world.

"What world?" Harry asked.

"DURSLEY!" He boomed. Uncle Vernon who had gone very pale, whispered something that sounded like 'Mimblewimble'. Hagrid ignored him to stare at the siblings in bewilderment.

"But yeh must know about yer mum and dad. I mean, they're famous. You're famous, Harry."

The siblings looked at each other confused. "What? Our- our mum and dad weren't famous, were they?" Harry looked at Selene for confirmation, but she only shrugged.

Hagrid ran a hand through his wild hair. "Yeh both don't know what yeh are?" He asked finally.

"Stop! I forbid you to tell them anything!" Uncle Vernon suddenly found his voice.

Selene crossed her arms and smirked. "Yes, we do. Judging by the letter that Harry and I read, I can infer that we are both wizards."

"Well, yeh would be a witch while yer brother here is a wizard." Hagrid corrected her.

"Sorry. I'm a witch and Harry is a wizard. You can't take that back Uncle Vernon. We have a conversation long overdue." Her and Harry scowled at their relatives. She waved the letter in her hand and smirked as they flinched away from it.

She read it over again. "Hagrid, what does it mean, they await my owl?" Harry asked, supposedly looked at the letter also from over her shoulder.

Hagrid proceeded to send a letter to Dumbledore and used an owl that was in one of his coat pockets. Then came up the topic of Lily Potter nee Evans.

"Knew?!" Shrieked Aunt Petunia as if the word offended her. "Knew! Of course we knew! How could you two not be, my dratted sister being what she was? Oh, she got a letter just like that and disappeared off to that- that school- and came home every holiday with her pockets full of frog spawn, turning teacups into rats. I was the only one who saw her for what she was- a freak! But for my mother and father, oh no, it was Lily this and Lily that, they were proud of having a witch in the family!" She exclaimed.

Selene narrowed her eyes. She has really bad jealousy problems, doesn't she? At least my mum was 100 times better than her. Selene felt proud of her parents for the first time.

Petunia took a deep breath before continuing. "Then she met that Potter at school and they left and got married and had you two, and of course I knew you'd be just the same, just as strange just as- as- abnormal...and then, if you please, she went and got herself blown up and we got landed with you two-" She got cut off by a very pissed off Selene Lily Potter.

"BLOWN UP?! NOW YOU LISTEN HERE BITCH, I'VE BEEN TOLD RECENTLY THAT EVERYTHING THAT I'VE KNOWN HAS BEEN ALL A FUCKING LIE, ALL BECAUSE OF YOU! I WON'T STAND FOR YOUR PETTY ACTS OF JEALOUSY OR ANY GRUDGES THAT YOU HAVE AGAINST MY MOTHER THAT WAS BETTER THAN YOU IN EVERYTHING!" She had tears streaming down her face. Her hands were clenching and unclenching as her red face.

Harry went white. In his whole life, his sister has never been this pissed, and seeing this now made him scared of what his sister might do to him when she learns magic. He hesitantly walked over to his sister. She suddenly hugged him with all her might as her body racked with sobs. Harry took them both to the couch and held her close to his chest as he rocked her back and forth.

As Harry was comforting Selene, Hagrid spent the whole time threatening the Dursleys and their relatives ended up looking as if they might piss their pants. When Selene's sobs reduced to hiccups, Hagrid was sitting next to them with a concerned look. When Selene told them that she was fine (not convincing Harry), Hagrid continued on.

The next few hours were spent with Hagrid explaining the whole 'Voldemort' ordeal and explaining the whole reason behind Harry's scar. But only one thing was on Selene's mind that wasn't voiced.

Where was I through all this? Does it have to do with the man I keep dreaming of?

After some threats from the Dursley's, which were followed by Hagrid's own threats, Harry began questioning his ability to do magic. He voiced his concerns to his sister, and she just hugged him.

She spoke up when she pulled back. "Of course you have magic, Harry. I don't think that this prestigious school would just allow anybody who didn't have magic enter. Remember, you can speak to snakes. Never doubt your magic ability." She patted his head like a puppy. Harry only smiled softly at her and kissed her forehead.

He placed his forehead on hers. "Thank you, Moon." He told her. They weren't listening on the conversation until-

"NEVER," Hagrid thundered. "INSULT ALBUS DUMBLEDORE. IN. FRONT. OF. ME!" Hagrid turned the pink umbrella he was holding to Dudley.

A shot of light escaped the tip of the umbrella and the next moment, Dudley had a pig's tail coming out of his butt. Harry and Selene stared at it for a moment before they started roaring in laughter.

"Oh...my...gosh, Hagrid. That was so funny!" Harry breathed out, his sister rolling on the floor while clutching her stomach as she laughed. Hagrid blushed and shrugged shyly, saying it was 'nothin'.

Hagrid explained his magic problem until he didn't want to say anymore and changed the subject. He threw his oversized moleskin coat to Harry and Selene and told them to use it for a blanket, seeing as they had none.

Harry brought Selene to his chest as she tucked herself against his body. They both sighed in contentment as they drifted off to sleep.

To be continued... :)

Phew! That was a long chapter. Sorry, I didn't mean for it to go this long.
