"I woke up that morning, not expecting anything. 3 weeks ago, I learned about my girlfriend and my best friend. 3 weeks ago I learned the cold hard truth of this world, that not everything is real. I knew I couldn't keep moping, but I wasn't ready to face anyone yet. Not after my world came crashing down. My parents didn't question it. Of course they didn't. They never cared about what happened to me. Hell, I could go missing and they wouldn't so much as bat an eye. I walked to the convenience store. A different one this time. I have many painful memories in the old one. I went in and bought my stuff. A bag of mayo chips and some ramen. I continued to walk before feeling something change. I rubbed my eyes because it might've been the fact that I was tired. I stayed up all night gaming. While I continued to walk out, I blinked, and woke up a different area than where I was two seconds ago. What the hell? Everything was so strange. Everyone around me had some kind of strange quirk around me. Cat ears? In the corner of my eyes, I notice a kid with blonde hair blowing his hands up. He was screaming something about Deku and Quirkless turd. He said something about losing as well. The thought dawned upon me then. Was I in another world?"
I knew I was getting away with a lot in my life. Not going to school. Refusing to do my chores, hell I didn't even speak so much as a word in the past 3 weeks to anyone but my parents. I hope they don't mind a trip to another world. Being honest here, I was excited. I wanted to get away from it all and I had. I shut-down any unsettling doubt from before. I was in a different world now, I didn't have to worry about anything. Well I did, just not the same things I did before I came to this world. Singing my praises. As I walked about, I noticed something interesting. Everything was written in Japanese. Oh thank you gods, not only do you send me to another world to be an Isekai Protagonist, but you also gave this world Japanese. You truly are gods.
Ring ring ring. I heard it in the distance. It was the sound of a train coming by. I looked to where the train was going by and noticed a flea market. All sorts of cool things had been gathered here. I waited for the train to go by when I noticed a very familiar brand. "Tintendo is releasing their newest gaming console, the Tintendo Warp." Tintendo? Why was that here. Upon closer inspection, it seemed this world had a lot of the same brands I remember back at home. Bucci, Killuvaton. Even the Gon track was there. With even close inspection, does my phone have signal? I guess that isn't very far-fetched. I look at the time and realize I still have it on Auto-Update. It said it will take a while to update due to the amount of trafficking around me, and that it will send me a notification when it's done. Putting it in my pocket, I begin walking around. Everything seemed so new, so different. Everything seemed so much more advanced than what my old world was like. I noticed a green haired buff man. He looked downcast, like he'd done something terrible and wanted to repent. It looked like he needed to vent and I couldn't bring myself to not help him. I too looked that way a few weeks ago.
"Hey, old timer, what's wrong?" I said to him. He was shocked and as he breathed out, some fire came out. He looked cautious of me. Like he couldn't trust me. But I couldn't blame the guy, given the look in my eyes, I wouldn't trust me either. I offered him the bag of mayo I just bought as we sat down and talked. Food always makes everyone more trusting. Subaru smiles to himself as the man gets ready to speak.
"A… a couple of years ago, I was married to this woman. Her name was Inko, Inko Midoriya. She was my heaven and earth. Three years into our marriage, I had learned that she was pregnant. With my kid. And I made my biggest regret ever… I ran. I ran from the responsibility I failed to take. All because I believed in some stupid prophecy of someone coming through time." He said.
"I see, I see. Well, let me tell you a story…" I started. "A month ago, I was dating this girl, her name was Itsuka Yaoyorozu. We had been dating for nearly a year. But one day, when I went to get some chips and ramen, I noticed her and my best friend. They had stopped in front of her house and started making out. They had the same look you just did, the face of knowing you did something wrong without any real reason, only an excuse, a lie, or just something stupid. And to be honest, yeah, you did mess up all that time ago. And horribly, but you know. I believe in life, that if you own up to your mistakes, and serve your penance, and life will smile upon you." I ended. He simply stared at me, like what I said was crazy. But then he smiled and did a really big stretch.
"I think I get it. Thanks young man. Maybe it's true that old men like me can learn from young guys like you." He said. He thanked me for the chips and walked off. I left, going the other way, now realizing that my chips are gone. Oh well, this place is modern, I could probably find some more while exploring. I go into this dark alley, and realize something. It's unusually dark in here. In fact it was too dark. I turn around to be greeted to a palm hitting my face. It attempted to grip my face but thankfully because I just turned around, I bounced right off.
"Tch" a raspy voice said. Someone my height with silver hair. Just like Hiroki. No. Stop thinking about them. They're gone, and they can't hurt you anymore. I looked up and noticed that he had tried again to grab my face. His movements are slow and like an amature. I moved back and noticed something. Everywhere where he had hit was turned to dust. What the hell?
Emilia was thankful. She knew the position she was in was a high one, but she wasn't exactly the brightest. Her quirk allowed her to connect to mythical beings, allowing them to become physical, and share their experiences. Specifically, she connected with "Spirits". The spirit that she was mainly contracted with, was Puck.
Puck was considered a great spirit. In the ancient times, far before quirks, Spirits were considered gods. But ever since people began creating, they had come to the spirits less and less. Then, over the centuries, Air Pollution had weakened the spirit's power. But there were spirits that were different. There were two kinds, Artificial Spirits, and Great Spirits. Artificial Spirits are half-human half spirits who were born with quirks. Some of the great quirk families, the Natsuki's, Yaoyorozu, Todoroki and others had family members who were half spirits who developed quirks. It was the beginning of the quirk era. Unfortunately, the Natsuki's kid, someone with an unknown name, had gone missing one day. That brought an end to the Natsuki Lineage. The end of a lineage before it began. That isn't to say that it wasn't great. The Natsuki household had helped people all over with two different types of healing quirks. One for physical injuries and one for mental injuries. They had also begun the heroes association. They began it originally to see if they could find people with quirks to help look for their unnamed son. Unfortunately, not even quirks specialized in finding things were able to find him. However, they never gave up hope. They said, if you found a boy with Jet black hair that was messy, a sharp look in his eyes, wearing a white sweater with black sleeves and an N on it, that it was him. Normally, anyone could pretend to be him, but the sweater was a gift that they had given him. It was the only kind there's ever been. That's how desperate they were. They were banking it all on a single sweater.
Such a minute detail wouldn't have helped in a run away case that was over 100 years old. It shouldn't have. Yet it did. Emilia, despite being considered one of the possible heirs to the Lugnica Yakuza throne, couldn't ignore a person in need. So when she noticed a black haired boy getting attacked by a silverette, she had to help. It was a habit of hers. She went in, expecting to meet someone she never knew she would.
A/N: Hey, I'm glad people enjoyed my writing. I dont think im the best at this because all my other fanfics failed, so I used a new idea on a new platform. You guys must be wondering a lot of things, most of which will be explained in due time, but I want to clear something up here right now. This is NOT a Subaru x Momo story. I know in the last chapter I made it seem like that, but that isn't what I meant. The pairings will be the ones I choose. Yes, there will be canon from both shows mixed into this. Yes, this story will diverge a lot, and at times will remind you of other anime probably. And no, the ending to this part of the Re:Zero x My Hero is not a happy one. Chapters 1- somewhere between 10 and 20 will be Arc 1, which is already planned out. Arc 2 is also somewhat planned out already and Arc 3 is also a thought. I have a plan, so I do hope you stick with me. Kuruno~
