The First 3 Years on Maunos was concentrated on building up infrastructure, the six colony ships were dismantled to provide the materials to build the automated strip mines on the surveyed mines and with the sheer amount of valuables on the ground, the operations were barely making a dent ,with the remaining hull was constructed to provide housing for the menial population to ensure efficiency.
Three of the colony ship's Plasma Reactor were kept intact to provide power for the colony while another one was used to smelt the harvested minerals from the mines. Their power output was increased by the Archmagos himself although this increased maintenance requirements which forced the inclusion of additional Tech-Priests.
In addition, he also prioritized the construction of multiple fishing vessels to harvest the bountiful fish and algae on the ocean to feed the menials and begin aquaculture on less rich waters.While this will ensure that the colony will not be on the brink of starvation, this will not be a permanent solution as Forge Worlds are notorious for their pollution.
The Skitarii have also been fully settled in their quarters on the ground, although they are fine for the moment and bought plentiful supplies, the need replenish their equipment is a major concern and the construction for military factories are set to be completed next year.
The orbit itself is no less busy, the two mining ships have began their harvest of the mineral rich asteroid field but their output remains low as the ships can only concentrate on either mining or refining but not both, still the amount is still a welcome addition to Maunos' mineral stock.
With most of the mining and refining done by automation, the remaining menials were busy constructing manufactorums and a spaceport for the trade, although construction is on going, the small amount of menial allocated means that it will take up to next year to finish.
The Fabricator General himself sent a message from Beta Cortix,he and his subordinates congratulates for achieving self sufficiency although the lack of currenty industry bothers him and requests that it be remedied as soon as possible.
In addition, the Forge World will to provide some additional assistance. After being provided with multiple choices Archmagos Lemodo chose the schematics for the so called Orbital Farm, a hive city sized Space Station dedicated to growing food and cloning grox meats. The Fabricator-General was bemused on his decision but agreed on the choice. He also agreed in sending an additional Gothic-class Cruiser for the defense fleet alongside the STC Blueprints.
While this cannot be constructed at the moment, the potential is there.
Gallan himself sequestered himself on the labs, currenrly tinkering with multiple patterns of lasguns and other weapons for future production of weaponry while tending to the needs of the Skitarii. While his current lab space is sufficient, he hopes that a proper Forge Temple be made soon to begin proper research.
