Chapter 233
The sun was setting over the lake and the family was having loud, animated discussions while the kids were playing on a blanket on the ground.
Kate leaned back in her chair and smiled at Sara. "We sure have… vocal families don't we?" Kate laughed.
"I know… but I love it" said Sara.
"Your hand looks really lovely with that ring on" said Kate and kissed Sara's palm.
"So does yours. Will you have to take it off for work?" asked Sara.
"Oh hell no! Honestly, I don't know, I'm going to try and keep it on at all times but I guess I'm going to have to see how it feels during surgery" said Kate.
"Just don't lose it hot shot… and make sure all those pretty nurses see it on your finger!" Sara joked.
"Oh I'll make sure they get the message loud and clear" Kate smiled.
"But how about all those screaming, feinting fans? They're going to be gutted that all the Quins are off the market now" Kate laughed.
"I don't care. I'm posting an update tomorrow telling them exactly how happy and in love and married I am. But today I want just for us" said Sara.
"Your fans are cool anyway. They'll be happy for you" said Kate.
"They will. Tegan got married and we've never been more successful" said Sara.
The fairy lights in the trees went on and softly illuminated the scene.
"I'm going to get these two monkeys inside so Kirsten and Nici can get them through the bath and into bed. Can I take Amelia for you too?" said Tegan.
"Those two have been hanging around on the porch to get a glimpse of the action all afternoon" laughed Sara.
"Must be torture for them being stuck up there" said Tegan.
"I'll go with you Tee. Would like to deliver baba myself" said Kate.
"I'll come too" said Sara.
"I won't be long. You stay with our guests" said Kate and snuck in a quick kiss.
"Okay. God you're sexy when you're in mom mode" said Sara.
"O really" said Kate seductively.
"Agghhh go…. Goooo and come back quickly" laughed Sara. She picked Amelia up and kissed her.
"Goodnight sweetie pie. We love you so much"
Half an hour later the kids were settled in the house with the babysitters. Dinner was about to be served.
"O yay! It's opening dance time baby" said Sara.
"Tee, you ready? I really want to dance with my wife now" said Sara.
"You got it lovers" Tegan smiled and picked up her guitar that was already plugged into the sound system.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this song is a special request by the happy couple. I know it's cheesy but they like it" Tegan laughed.
"Tegan!" Sara said making a face.
"Just kidding, I think it's the perfect song for a perfect couple. Please welcome onto the dance floor our newlyweds, Sara and Kate" said Tegan and started beautifully playing the Ed Sheeran cover.
Kate took Sara's hand and led her to the grassless spot under a tree. She took her hand and held it gently against her chest, her other arm encircled her bride.
Tegan started singing.

Kate and Sara swayed in each other's arms. Sara had a silly grin on her face and her eyes closed. When the next part of the song started they loosened up a bit and Kate swirled Sara around, laughing out loud before kissing her passionately.

"I love you… I never want this to end" said Sara softly into Kate's ear.

Sara breathed in Kate's familiar smell as the song continued.
"I don't know what you're wearing but it smells amazing" said Sara. She put her mouth close to Sara's ear. "I'm really, really horny now" she whispered.
"You have no idea" Kate laughed and squeezed Sara's bum.
Sara cupped Kate's face with her hands as the song ended. "You're so beautiful… I'm so incredibly lucky to have you" Sara said staring into Kate's eyes that had now turned a blue-grey green.
Kate just kissed Sara again.
Music started playing and the rest of the family got on the dance floor. Sara felt somebody staring and turned her head. Her dad and Kate's dad were standing, patiently waiting for their father, daughter dances.
"Aggghh…. I can't believe I have to share you with your dad right now… I'll miss you" said Kate and snuck in another quick kiss before turning to her dad.
"Dad" she smiled and held out her hand.
"Kitty Kat… may I have this dance?"
"I would love that" Kate smiled and started dancing with her dad.
Sara danced with her father. Everything was perfect.
"I'm so proud of you Sara. So, so proud" said Stephen.
"Thank you dad. I'm so happy" said Sara.
"Kate's quite the catch" smiled Stephen.
"Tell me about it! She's great isn't she? She's gorgeous, she's so smart, sensitive, funny… everything I've ever wanted. I don't know how I lucked out like this"
"You didn't luck out Sara. She did. And you deserve every bit of happiness, every bit of love"
Sara blushed and looked down.
"I'm so happy" said Sara and put her head on her father's shoulder.
"You said that already" Stephen laughed.
"I know… I can't stop saying it" Sara sighed.
Tegan was dancing with Bruce and when the song stopped Sara stood next to them.
"May I have this dance?" Sara smiled.
"You're so sweet" he smiled and started dancing with Sara.
"I hope you know how important you are to me" said Sara.
"Thank you Sara, that means a lot to me" he smiled.
"Are you having a good time?" he continued.
"I'm having the time of my life. Best day ever" said Sara.
"I'm so happy for you Sara" said Bruce.
"Thank you Bruce" Sara smiled.
"I should have married your mom when I had the chance" he said out of the blue.
"Huh? That's kind of out of the blue?" said Sara.
"Maybe if I did… we would have tried harder. I… I think I still love her Sara" said Bruce. Sara stopped dancing and looked at him.
"Really?"
"I always have"
Sara glanced at her mother. Sonia had a huge smile on her face. Her hand on her heart as she watched Sara and Bruce dance.
"It's not too late you know" smiled Sara.
"I don't know… she's moved on years ago"
"People can move back you know"
"It's all this romance… I'm not thinking straight" said Bruce.
"Ask her to dance" said Sara.
"I don't want to ruin the friendship we have now"
"Just… play it as it comes. You'll never know if you don't try"
Bruce snorted and gave Sara a hug.
"I love you kiddo… go dance with your wife. She looks ready to cut in" smiled Bruce.

"Finally, my lovely wife's turn again" Sara grinned and slid up close to Kate's body.
"Are you having fun?" Kate smiled.
"Of course, any time I'm in your arms dancing is fun"
"I missed you just now"
"Oh really… Well you have me now"
Kate kissed Sara tenderly.
"You taste so good today" Sara smiled.
"Stop that or I'll rip your clothes off in front of your family" Kate grinned.
Sara just laughed and put her head on Kate's shoulder.

"Remember our wedding? Gosh it was amazing" said Tegan.
"Yeah... Incredible" said Lindsey and squeezed Tegan's bum.
"And I'm even more in love with you now than I was that day" said Tegan.
"You…." said Lindsey and touched the tip of Tegan's nose with her forefinger. "Are so damn adorable"
"I love you baby… always" said Tegan and kissed Lindsey.
"You and me babe" Lindsey said their special words.
"Me and you" Tegan smiled.

The evening was balmy and you could smell moisture in the air. The family was sitting around the large, exquisitely decorated table enjoying dinner, drinks and each other's company.
"Thanks again for everything my loves. You're all so special and amazing and we love you. And to my gorgeous wife, you look amazing. You are phenomenal and I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Thanks for marrying me... I love you" Kate smiled.
"When we first got together a lot of people were perplexed. A surgeon and a musician… weird. But from our very first kiss I knew, I don't know how but I knew that I found the one. We're actually, strangely very alike. We just get each other, and even when we don't, we love each other and in the end that's all that counts. The last two years of my life has been my happiest ever and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my days with you and our little family my darling Katherine" Sara smiled.
A couple of hours later.
"Are you sure Amelia can bunk with you tonight Tee? It's not a big deal, she can stay with us" said Sara.
"Are you kidding me… goooo. I've got the bambino… go be with your wife" said Tegan.
"You know where to find us if she's being difficult right?"
"She's an angel! I've got this, really. If you don't go now Kate's going to come tearing in here and rip your clothes off and quite frankly I'd rather be spared that" said Tegan, mock disgusted.
"Yeah yeah… thanks Tee, appreciate it"
"Try and keep the screaming down will ya, I'm beat"
Sara snorted a laugh. "I'll try but we're newlyweds you know"
"Lucky for me I'm a good sleeper after a few glasses of wine"
"Are you drunk Tegan? Because I can't leave Amelia with you if you're drunk"
"Are you shitting me… I'm not drunk Sara. Do I look drunk? I'm certainly less drunk than you are" said Tegan sounding affronted.
"No… I just"
"Sara we're just down the hall… if all hell breaks loose you'll hear her. Go! Have fun" said Tegan and slammed the door in Sara's face.
Sara chuckled and turned away. Kate snuck up on her from behind.
"Hello gorgeous" she said and kissed Sara's neck.
"Hey you. Everything okay outside? Lights out? Bonfires out? Parents home?" asked Sara.
"Yup, kid squared away?"
"Yes, let's get to bed" said Sara and took Kate's hand.
The second they were in the bedroom Sara had Kate pinned against the door. She attacked her lips while her hands tangled into her hair.
"I want you so bad" Kate muttered as her hands travelled to Sara's buttons.
"Hang on… taking too long. Strip down fast and meet me in bed" Sara chuckled.
Kate just about ripped her clothes off and in her rush to get to bed tripped over her own pants.

"Oh baby… you okay? Are you hurt?" asked Sara concerned but stifling a laugh. She was naked on her knees in front of Kate.
"I'm perfect" said Kate casually and kicked the offending pant leg off. She laughed and pulled Sara down for a kiss.

"Bed… I'm lying on a shoe" Kate complained through kisses.

In the next room Tegan heard a thump followed by giggling.
"It's going to be a looong night" she sighed.
"You were a newlywed once too" said Lindsey.
"Yeah and if I remember correctly I was so buggered after that wedding that I fell asleep before it was even done. Oh and by the way, they hardly qualify as newlyweds" Tegan laughed.
"You were ill baby… anyway we more than made up for that" said Lindsey and lifted an eyebrow.
Tegan giggled and kissed Lindsey softly. Her hands skimmed Lindsey's full breasts.
"We can't…. we have three babies in the room" Lindsey whispered.
"This is why we employ child minders… what were we thinking?" laughed Tegan.
"They'll owe us for this" Lindsey grinned.
"You bet they will… I guess I'll just have to cuddle up. Haven't had the koala for a while. I love you" said Tegan and flung her arm and leg over Lindsey.
"You're remarkable Tegan… I hope you know that" said Lindsey softly.
