In this particular reality, Anastasia Steele is still married to Christian Grey. It's in her contract, the one Christian had prepared by Scientologists.
I know it sounds impossible, but there you are.
"Kate?" Ana, not quite jaded yet, asked her friend.
"Mm-hmm?" her friend answered, looking up from drinking her zero-calorie iced vodka.

"Have you ever seen your husband's face when you were having sex?"
Kate put down her drink.
"Just once," she said. "I was having the most incredible sex, when I opened my eyes and saw a look of pure rage on José's face. It almost kept me from having an orgasm."
"Oh, my!" Ana gasped. "Why would he be so angry during sex?"
Kate picked her drink back up.
