Chapter 240
A week later.
As expected Tegan and Sara won all the big Juno awards for the year. They had a great few days and enjoyed the bit of freedom they had to party without the kids. Lindsey had to take a very early morning flight to LA for a big photo shoot that day. Tegan miraculously forced herself awake to say goodbye.
"I'll miss you hot stuff" Tegan said kissing Lindsey's hand before she left the hotel.
"I'll miss you too!" said Lindsey and made a sulky face. She leaned over Tegan where she was lying naked on the bed and squeezed her breasts before kissing her hard.
"Damn… don't do that to me if you don't want to be late" Tegan giggled.
"It's so hard not to" said Lindsey and ran her hand through Tegan's hair.
"You sure you don't want me to come with you now?" asked Tegan.
"No, you deserve a bit of a lie in. I'll see you tonight. Take it easy super star" said Lindsey.
"Hope you don't feel too bad when you have to work. I for one feel like total crap" said Tegan.
"Sorry for waking you so early but at least you can sleep in luxury on the plane. I'm going to have some geyser drooling on my shoulder" said Lindsey rolling her eyes.
"Oh, I'm sorry you had to fly coach when you could have flown in a private jet with the three of us. The things you won't do for your career" Tegan laughed.
"That's mean Tegan" Lindsey sulked but smiled before yawning.
"Sorry, what can I say? I offered to get you a first class ticket but noooo" smiled Tegan.
"I'm not a spoilt brat rock star" joked Lindsey.
"What do you mean I'm a spoilt brat? Sure I'm spoilt, but I'm not a brat. It's not my fault the record company is treating us like royalty" Tegan laughed. "Oh, ouch my head" she complained.
"I need to run or I'll miss my flight" said Lindsey and kissed Tegan briefly.
"Hey, zip up, it's freezing out there" said Tegan and kissed her wife goodbye.
"See you tonight babe" said Lindsey and blew Tegan a kiss.
"Good luck with the shoot baby, you're going to be great" said Tegan and kissed Lindsey.
Tegan plonked back into bed and went back to sleep when the door closed.

Later that morning.
Tegan, Sara and Kate were sitting in an airport lounge in Toronto nursing their hangovers.
"Damn I feel rough. My shift starts at seven, I need to shake this hangover by then. If a kid barfs on me I'm going to be barfing back" said Kate taking a large swig of coconut water.
"Oh poor Coco" Sara teased.
"Ugh, I think I'm gonna be sick" said Kate looking a bit green and got up fast to go to the airport bathroom.
"What a lightweight" Tegan chuckled with her feet on a coffee table wearing sunglasses.
"Coming from the one wearing sunglasses inside" Sara chuckled.
"It's just 'cause I'm cool like that" said Tegan.
"You mean dorky like that" laughed Sara.
A few minutes later Kate was back.
"Feeling a bit better babes?" Sara asked.
"Yeah, I feel a bit better thanks" said Kate but still looked a tad under the weather.
"Just got a text, Mom's at Erin's with the twins. They want to have a video chat" said Tegan.
A few minutes later Tegan held her phone up in front of her as the faces of Casey, Ryan and Amelia appeared on the screen.
"Hey kiddos!" everybody exclaimed and waved.
The kids laughed kids chattered away and tried to touch the screen.
"How's it going grandma? Everyone been good?" asked Tegan.
"Yeah they've been so good! It's nice to spend some time with Amelia too today" said Sonia.
"Do they miss us?" asked Sara.
"Meh! I think they prefer me" Sonia joked.
"Nice… thanks guys" Tegan mock sulked.
"I think they miss you like crazy okay! Come home already" Sonia laughed.
"Okay guys, we need to go, they're calling us to board" said Kate.
"Bye mommies! Have a good flight" said Sonia. She and the kids blew kisses and the adults did the same before disconnecting with a "Love you, see you later".
Ten minutes later the girls were called to board.
A/N: Very short chapter, muuuuch more to come (not necessarily today but soon enough). BTW, just noticed that this fanfic is now almost 620 000 words long. That's crazy, considering an average novel is 50-80 000 words long. So this is 8-13 novels long! I think it might be time to call it a day after the next story line ends. Nothing lasts forever. Don't worry yet, there's a big story line still to come first.
