Kate and José are sitting at a table in the outside patio of a fancy-dancy, tootie-frootie, high-faluting restaurant.
Kate's treat.
José is furiously working on People Magazine's crossword puzzle, scratching his head occasionally when he comes across a particularly difficult clue. Kate is working on her third margarita.
"Kate?" José pipes up.
"Yesssh?" Kate answers, for a moment taking her eyes off the round part of a young waiter who is bending over to pick up a fork that had fallen to the ground.
"What's a four-letter word for a type of woman that ends in u-n-t?"
Kate picks up her drink.
"Aunt," she says.
José disgustedly looks at the answer he had written down.
"Do you have an eraser?" he says.
