Adjusting her glasses as she carefully examined herself in the mirror, hair neatly curled, set to go under her veil, brilliant sleeveless white wedding dress elegant and contrasting well with her olive skin tone, Sarah Chaikin couldn't help the smile that crossed her face as she readied herself for the final preparations of the upcoming wedding.

"Wow, I can't believe we've managed to organize this so we're getting married at the same time." She said cheerfully.

She was talking to another girl in the room, also clad in an elegant white sleeveless wedding dress, albeit a little more daring being strapless and exposing the young woman's upper back, showing a little more of her smooth caramel skin. Golden brown eyes shining, Clementine Everett laughed and replied.

"Well, it was you who convinced Violet and I to try it out, a winter wedding huh?" She shook her head. "Still, it is pretty amazing, me marrying Violet, you marrying Frank, both on the same day."

Sarah just grinned wider at that, enjoying the moment and looking forward to the next one. She reflected on how her friend Clementine and Violet Adlon had finally come together to this stage, about to be married. The two had met in high school, two years after Sarah left for college, meeting her soon to be husband during that time. Clementine had been dating a friend of theirs, Gabriel Garcia but after an amicable break up, Clem found herself getting involved with Violet and the drama surrounding the pensive blonde girl and her fiery red-headed ex, Minerva Leigh.

Sarah however smiled as she and Clem let the bridesmaids make the finishing touches with their make-up and clip their veils into place.

'But that's all water under the bridge now and Minerva's even here as one of the bridesmaids.' Sarah noted.

Soon they were ready and the other girls began rushing about to get ready too. Only their respective maids of honour remained, confirming the girls were ready first. Sarah found it funny how for all the bullying she'd suffered from her at school, come their time in college, she and Becca would finally become friends and now here she was as Sarah's maid of honour. Clem's being a girl she had met at the same time as Violet, Brody Burress, a good-natured girl who, if Sarah heard the stories right, Clem had help overcome a frantic battle with chronic anxiety during their school days.

'We've all come so far now…' She noted.

As she did so and waited, her mind moved to her own beloved, Francis Cleburne, Frank to those close to him. An Irish-American gentleman with the accent to prove it, he had been studying law at college when they first met, with Sarah pursuing a degree in nursing. She had got to know him well and through him, his family, Patrick, a lawyer, Maureen, his stepmother who was a housewife and his stepsister Stacey, a New York native like her mother and also a bridesmaid. While Sarah had worried about it at first Stacey had reassured her that she'd be fine here at the wedding, both referring to her type one diabetes. Frank had actually been born in Ireland before he and his family moved to the US when he was 7, first to Arkansas then Georgia.

It was then Carlos and Lee entered, both smiling at their respective daughters, ready to begin as the bridesmaids all went to get into position.

"Well, this is it, honey, you ready?" Carlos asked her.

Sarah grinned. "Of course dad, I...I can't believe this is really happening."

Beside her, Clem stood up, also smiling as Lee stepped forwards and hugged her, the two of them talking quietly as Carlos also stepped up, hugging her. Finally they began to make their way down to get ready to begin, Sarah could already picture the scene, Violet and Frank waiting for their brides at the altar. It had been his easygoing nature and good sense of humour that had helped Frank win over Carlos, but any wariness her father may have had evaporated one seeing Frank could be tough when necessary, standing up for Sarah when some old high school bullies tried to interfere with their date at one point. Still smiling at the memory Sarah stood by her father, Clem standing by Lee as the bridesmaids began to enter to the music as finally, the moment was upon them, soon, she and Clem would be married to the loves of their lives.

Standing by the altar, in probably the nicest clothes she'd ever worn, a rather elegant white suit, Violet couldn't keep the smile off her face. This was it, the big day, she and Clem getting married, along with Clem's friend Sarah marrying her beloved Frank. Frank also stood by the altar, a young man of medium height, a little overweight but still athletic enough in build, green eyes and red hair with blonde highlights. He was whistling under his breath, Violet caught enough of the tune to notice what it was and rolled her eyes, still smiling.

'God, I've heard him that many times singing those Irish songs when he was nervous, now he's whistling them?' She mused.

Still, she couldn't deny her own nervousness and fought to keep her hands at her side, not to fidget with her hair, especially it was now long enough for her to do so, reaching down to her shoulders. Hearing the music and seeing the bridesmaids enter, both Violet and Frank stood ready, their eyes wide and almost at once their emotions overcame them as their respective loves entered on their fathers' arms. Watching them approach, it was clear to both Violet and Frank that Clem and Sarah were just as nervous, and overwhelmed with love, as they were. In what felt like no time at all they stood together, hands entwined as the ceremony began.

Together they stood, both couples facing each other as, with the rings fresh on their fingers, they both sealed their marriages with kisses to their respective partners, their families and friends all overjoyed to see the two young couples so happy together, finally binding their respective lives together, outside in the snowy courtyard of the wedding venue as a soft gentle fresh snowfall began.
