Kate and José are on a road trip in the country when—BAM!—Kate hits a skunk that's eating some roadkill in the middle of the lane. The force knocks the unlucky animal to the side of the road. Kate slams on the brakes. José jumps out, picks up the injured skunk, and, cradling it in his arms, brings it back to the car.

"Oh, look," Kate tells José, "the poor thing is shivering. It must be cold."

"What should I do?" José asks her.

"Quick, put it between your legs," Kate orders, taking charge.

"But what about the smell?" José wants to know.

"If I can put up with the smell," Kate says, "so can the skunk."
