Here's the first chapter of Spirit Guardians. I hope all of you who for this one enjoy it.
Italics - Spirit speaking
Chapter 1
Voldemort made his way towards the house of the Potter's. Thanks to his spy Wormtail he was able to bypass the wards that had been setup to prevent anyone from finding it. He was going to kill the entire family so that he could stop the prophecy that Severus had happened to over hear.
Next to him his Spirit Guardian moved unscene by anyone else. It was a massive snake. It's belly was grey, there were green diamond shaped scales against its black back, and it had brightly glowing yellow eyes.
"You should not worry Tom. We have should continue on with our take over of England," his Spirit said with a slightly hissing in its voice.
"How many times do I have to tell you. My name is Voldemort. You calling me Tom is like me just calling you Geh," Voldemort said as he blasted the front door down.
Inside he saw a dark haired man with glasses standing in front of the stairs.
"I won't let you pass Voldemort," the man yelled. He then started to fire spells at him.
Voldemort batted them aside easily as he cast the Killing Curse at him. It hit the man dropping him instantly.
"See, he called me Voldemort," the Dark Lord said as he started up the stairs.
"That's because he didn't know your original name. If he did he would have called you Tom," Geh replied.
When they got to the top of the stairs Voldemort saw a door at the end of the hall slightly a jar. He quickly moved to it and kicked it open.
Inside he saw that it was a nursery for a small boy. There was a red headed woman who was standing in front of a crib. In the crib was a toddler who looked like a miniture version of the man he had killed down stairs.
"Spare Harry! Take me instead!" the woman yelled while trying to stand in front of her child.
"Be silent woman," said as he used the Killing Curse on her.
When it hit her she dropped like a puppet with its strings cut.
"Now I can finish what I came here to do," he said as he pointed his wand at the boy and cast the Killing Curse for a third time.
Just before the spell hit the child an angel appeared behind him. The angel then quickly folded his wings around the boy.
When the spell hit the angel's wings it rebounded and came flying back at Voldemort.
Just before the spell hit him Geh hissed, "This is not the end. We have taken measures in case of Death."
"We know," the angel replied.
Albus Dumbledore waited patiently for everyone to show up for the Potter's Will reading.
Standing next to him was his Spirit Guardian, which only he could see. It was a large yellow metallic bird with fire coming from parts of its body.
"Do you think everyone will show up for the Will reading?" Dumbledore asked his bonded.
His Spirit looked at him, "I believe that they will."
Just then the door opened and in walked two people. The first was a tall man with shoulder length white hair and wearing a red business suit. With him was a woman with blonde hair and wearing a blue dress.
Dumbledore stood and greeted the two, "It's good to see you again Maximillion, though I wish it wasn't under these circumstances."
"So do I Albus. I told James he should have left England like Cecelia and I did after we graduated from Hogwarts," Maximillion said as he grabbed the woman's hand.
"That did surprise everyone. We thought that you would stay and start taking over some of your father's duties. You were the heir of the family," Albus replied.
"I'm was still the heir before the Dark Lord's lackeys killed my parents. Now I'm the head of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Potter," he told him as a tear ran down his check.
Cecelia turned and gave Maximillion a hug, "It will be alright dear. You may have lost most of your family, but you still have me and your nephew Harry."
Maximillion nodded, "Your right. So, where is my nephew?"
"Poppy is bringing him," Albus told him just as the door opened and more people entered.
The first was a woman with an old fashioned nurses hat on and carrying a little boy in her arms.
Next were a man with short dark hair and woman with short blonde hair. When they saw Maximillion and Cecelia they rushed to them.
After them came a haggard looking man with disheveled clothes.
The next person was a woman with short graying hair and holding a red headed little girl.
After her was a red haired man who was slightly over weight.
Another couple came in after him. Both had blonde hair, with the man's being short and the woman's at waist length. The woman was also holding a little girl with blonde hair.
The final person to walk into the room was a Goblin.
A hush fell over the room when the Goblin took his seat behind his desk. Everyone found somewhere to sit and waited.
"Good morning everyone. My name is Skullcrusher. It's my job to execute the Wills of the deceased. In the case of the Potters they had four of them made. Each one for a different outcome. The one I will be executing is if both James and Lily die leaving Harry behind," Skullcrusher told them while pulling out a piece of parchment from one of the drawers of his desk.
Everyone was very surprised when they heard that there had been four different Wills made.
Skullcrusher cleared his throat.
"To everyone gathered. Don't be sad. We knew this might happen with Voldemort targeting us. Please live your lives to the fullest.
1. Albus Dumbledore - Please return the things you have borrowed for your research. Also make sure the Rat that betrayed us is properly punished.
2. Maximillion J. Potter (Pegasus) and Cecilia - We ask that you and Cecelia take in Harry and raise him as your own.
3. Sirius Orion Black (Harry's Godfather/Padfoot) - Don't blame yourself. Find a good woman and try not to corrupt Harry.
4. Remus Lupin (Moony) - We leave 100,000 Galleons. You can't refuse it. Invest it wisely.
5. Frank and Alice Longbottom (Alice - Godmother) - We hope you allow your Neville to still be Harry's Godbrother. We also thank you Alice for becoming Harry's Godmother.
6. Amelia Susan Bones - We still feel for you with the loss of most of your family. We would also like to inform you of the Betrothal Contract that you brother setup between Harry and Susan.
7. Arthur and Molly Weasley - Please accept 100,000 Galleons and no you can't refuse, Molly.
8. Brandon and Sylvia Greengrass - Thank you for being our friends and allowing us to setup a Betrothal Contract with your daughter Daphne. Please explain to Maximillion and Amelia why there are two Betrothal Contracts.
That's everything that needs to be said. Please look after each other."
After Skullcrusher got done reading both Maximillion and Amelia turned to Brandon.
"The reason is because after James and Lily got married they checked the Potter family vault and found five ancient Betrothal Contracts. Lily read through each of them and found out that they were set up as a way of forming alliance's in the future," Brandon told them.
"Why would James and Lily activate them? Exspecialy Lily?" Amelia asked.
"She agreed to it because she found out at the time of the five contracts making they were the five most influential families," Sylvia said.
"What families and how long ago?" Cecilia asked them.
"Bones, Greengrass, Weasley, Lovegood, and Granger. They were made before the founding of Hogwarts," Brandon replied.
"Wait did you say Weasley?" Arthur asked a little stunned.
"Yes, as well as Lovegood," Sylvia answered him.
"We are expecting another child and Xenophilus is expecting his first," Arthur told them.
"Do you know why the contracts were made besides for an Alliance?" Albus asked.
"Yes. At the time those six families wanted to create a place to teach Magical beings how to control and use their Magic for the purpose of helping bring back the world of our Spirit Guardians," Brandon answered.
"So something like Hogwarts?" Remus hesitantly asked.
"Correct, but more geared towards bringing the two worlds together. At least that's what Lily and I could figure out from some diaries we found in our vaults," Sylvia told him.
"Okay, but why those six families?" Cecilia asked.
"Because of each families magical specialty. The Potter family specializes in a unique form of Transfiguration," Maximillion said while looking at the others.
Brandon nodded, "We Greengrass's specialize in unique uses of potions."
"The Bones family are specialist with a specific variant of some Charms," Amelia said as she started to realize what being aluded to.
Everyone then turned to Arthur.
He blinked a few times before he said, "The Weasley family have always been good at figuring out new ways to use different types of Magic."
"That just leaves the Lovegood's and Granger's," Albus said as he started to stroke his beard.
"I don't think I've remember there being anyone with the last name of Granger when we went to school," Cecilia said.
At that moment Skullcrusher decided to say something, " The reason you don't know anyone of that name is because the family line squibbed out just before the founding of Hogwarts."
Everyone turned to him with Maximillion asking, "How do you know that?"
"Besides being in charge of the executing of Wills. I'm also the one who keeps track of the inactive vaults. The Granger family vault is closed until someone of that family line is born with Magic again," he told them.
"So if the Weasley's and the Lovegood's both have a daughter will you activate those Betrothal Contracts like James did?" Albus asked Maximillion.
Maximillion looked at Cecelia who nodded before he answered, "Yes. As long as both the families agree. Then we can only hope for there to be a girl who is born with Magic and starts Hogwarts within the same few years as Harry from the Granger family line. Then we might be able to accomplish what our ancestors wanted."
"What do you plan to do now that the war is over and that you are Harry's guardian now?" Remus asked Maximillion.
"I plan to continue my research on the Shadow Games of Ancient Egypt. I will also be trying to setup a company in the muggle world. Though what it's going to deal in," he said with a shrug.
Poppy spoke up for the first time then, "I hope you don't expect to take a toddler on your trips through the deserts of Egypt."
"Of course not Poppy. Harry will stay on our family island with me," Cecelia replied.
"Are you sure you will be safe there. There will be those who would want to harm young Harry for the part he played in Voldemort's defeat," Albus asked them.
"They will be perfectly safe. The island is under a very powerful and ancient Fidelius Charm. Only the Head of House can give the location to people and when the Head of House changes all of those who knew it previously will forget it," Maximillion told him.
Poppy smiled, "That's good enough for me." She then handed Harry to Cecelia.
After that everyone said goodbye, wished each other good luck with the future, and promised to get together at times in the future.
A/N: Well there's the first chapter of the winner of my poll.
Through out some of the upcoming chapters I will describe some of the Witches and Wizards Spirit Guardians. I won't actually be saying who they are though you can guess in the reviews. I'll PM those who guess right.
In this chapter I hinted at three of them. The first was Voldemort's. I described what he looked like and Voldemort insulted it by calling it Geh. Next was the angel that protected Harry. The only hint for who it was is in its ability to reflect or make one stronger when attacked. The third and final one was Dumbledore's. A yellow metallic bird with flames coming from parts of its body.
I'm putting another poll up. This one is another choice poll. I'll let you see it and decide.
