At 4:00, Sam nervously walked into the music club room.
"Hey," Luna called. She was standing next to Sully, but Mazzy was absent.
Sam asked, "where's Mazzy?"
"Eh. She's always late," Sully explained, "we should start without her."
As if on cue, Mazzy rushed in. "Sorry I'm late."
Sully snarked, "late by anyone else's standards, early by your standards."
Mazzy was offended. "Hey!"
Luna excitedly said, "Let's rock, dudes!"
The band began to practice. Sam noticed that Luna, Sully, and Mazzy were all playing in sync, while she seemed out of line. She began to worry that she might not belong.
Luna noticed Sam's anxiety and asked, "is something wrong?"
"It's just.. you all are so in sync. I just don't feel like part of the band."
Luna reassured Sam, "listen. I felt that way when I joined, it just takes time, you know."
Sully added, "yeah. You're definately one of us."
The band continued practicing. After practice, Sully and Mazzy immediately left. Sam was about to leave when Luna called to her. "Hey, Sam. Do you want to come over to my house this weekend? We could do some one-on-one practice."
Sam replied, "okay. Thanks, Luna."
Sam left the room, not noticing that Luna was blushing.
That Saturday
Sam walked up to 1216 Franklin Avenue, aka, the Loud House, and knocked on the door. Leni answered.
"Oh hi," Leni said, "are you Sam? Luna's been waiting for you?"
"Uh yeah, that's me."
"Come on in," Leni offered.
Luna rushed up. "Hi, Sam!"
"Hey, Luna."
Luna enthusiastically asked, "are you ready to rock?"
"Heck yeah!"
After Sam left to get set up, Leni tactlessly asked Luna, "so is she your new love interest?"
"Leni!"
The rest of the Louds rushed in. "Did you just say Luna has a crush?" Lori asked.
Luna grew frustrated, "dude."
Leni excitedly told Luna, "you totes have to tell us everything."
Luna snapped, "there's nothing to tell. I just... she's kind of cute. That's it."
As Luna's siblings were squealing, Luna left to go to the garage, where Sam was waiting.
Luna and Sam practiced music for hours before someone arrived at the house.
Luna shouted, "Chunk! Hey!"
Chunk climbed out of his van and asked Luna, "Hey Luna. And who's this?"
Luna replied, "this is Sam. She's the newest member of the music club."
"Pleasure to meet you. I'm Chunk, Luna's roadie," Chunk said, shaking Sam's hand.
"Nice to meet you."
Chunk told Luna, "anyway, I got your amp back from the theater."
"Thanks, Chunk."
"Better be off now," Chunk told Luna as he drove away.
Luna and Sam continued practicing. Eventually they decided to finish up. As Luna walked to put up her guitar, she tripped on the cord to her amp.
Before Luna could fall, Sam caught her. Luna cautiously said, "uh, thanks."
"No problem."
Sam carefully pulled Luna back up, once again failing to notice Luna's blush.
A car pulled up. "That's my Mom," Sam explained, "I need to leave."
"Bye. See you in class!"
"See ya."
After Sam had left, Luna told her siblings, "you were right! I do have a crush on her."
The squealing was deafening.
