A/N: Sorry about the hiatus. I just needed a bit of a break, plus I felt my writing quality was going down. My other fanfics should return soon, but it'll probably be a while before I have a regular update schedule again. Thanks for your patience!
Sam woke up one morning, incredibly nervous. She walked down the stairs, thinking about backing out. It was still an option, of course, but did she want to take it. This was as good a chance as any.
She walked up to her parents. "Mom. Dad." She took a deep breath. "There's something I want to tell you."
"Yes, honey?" Sam's dad, Sebastian, asked.
"I... I'm..." she turned away. "I can't do this."
Sarah, Sam's mother, noticed her daughter's distress. "What's wrong?"
"I just don't know how to tell you. I'm... I'm a lesbian."
"Oh, that's it?" Sarah asked.
"What?"
"Sorry, it's just... I don't really know how to handle this. We accept you, and all that." She then whispered to her husband, "can you take over?"
Sebastian told Sam, "look. We love you for who you are."
"Thanks."
Sarah added, "so, do you have a girlfriend yet?"
"MOM!"
At the end of the next music club practice
Mazzy explained, "okay. It's the end of practice, meaning someone is going to either make a life announcement or invite another member over. It's tradition."
Sam said, "um. I have something."
Luna shouted, "no! Don't encourage her."
Sam, ignoring Luna, blurted out, "I'm gay."
Mazzy immediately replied, "darn it. Outnumbered again."
"What?"
Sully rolled his eyes and explained, "she's always going on about how she's the only straight member of the club."
Luna added, "both me and Sully are bi, in case you were wondering."
Mazzy ignored the other three and continued talking. "I guess it's better to be outnumbered than to have to deal with Shirley."
"True," Sully said.
Meanwhile
At the Loud House, only three of the eleven siblings were home: Lincoln, Lori, and Lily.
Lincoln went through the mail and found a letter. "Lori," he called out, "look what I found in the mail!"
Lincoln handed Lori the letter, and she opened it. "Do you thinnk it's a response?"
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Loud
