Authors Note: This has nothing to do with Legend of Zelda, I just had no idea what genre to put! Anyways happy reading!

Adelynn trudged down the wet ally, boots splashing the mouldy brick walls, a short cut to the dusty pathway in front of school. Today was her younger brother Nick's birthday, but what would she get him? Maybe a toy? No he was too old for that. Maybe a video game? Fine, there was one around the corner from school. As she passed the school she took a moment to look at it, dull grey buildings with foggy, cracked windows, but oh, the stench! It was a mix of melting plastic, public toilets and unnatural smelling air freshener, that never worked anyway.

Adelynn took several steps backwards(while holding her nose)and continued to walk towards the run-down video game shop. When she got there, it took a moment for her to pull off the boards that covered the door and windows. Finally when she got inside, soundlessly, she ran straight to the third aisle, scanning the games as she passed. After a few minutes of digging around, she found it, 'Runaway Assassin' her brother's favourite game. She even remembered the day: Jacob was pointing at the shop window and begging "Please, Adel, please can I get 'Runaway Assassin' all my friends have it and they say it's not even scary!" But she replied "Not a chance Nick, last night I saw you run into mama and papa's room, saying you had a nightmare, about a carrot!, of all the things, a carrot? Imagine what assassin dreams will do to you!" she scolded. But that was before the apocalypse, before the world turned upside down, before they were the last living people on earth.

Suddenly a loud creak startled her out of her thoughts, I've stayed too long, I need to get back!, She thought. Just as she was poised to run, a rotten, decomposed hand landed on her shoulder! ' Zombie!' she hissed, luckily she still had her pack! Quickly she twister her body and opened the zipper, grabbed her baseball bat and swung with all her might, the hand fell off her shoulder and the undead thing behind her let out a groan. Shuddering, she opened the door and slammed it behind her. Running towards the park, she remembered that behind the crumbling, ancient fountain was a lever, all she needed to do was pull it, but the park was a zombie central.

Ducking and jumping, twisting and turning, trying all she could to avoid the outstretched hands grasping for her. Finally she approached the fountain- by jumping over a short zombie with red and green hair. She reached for the lever, yanked it towards her and stood back. The fountain slid sideways and revealed a gaping hole with a dim, torch lit passage way inside. Without hesitating she jumped in. Landing with a thud, she squinted around and found a matching lever, once she had pulled on it, the passage way closed above her with a grinding moan.

As she walked along the grey, stone tunnel, she became more and more paranoid. After looking over her shoulder for the 34th time, she eventually noticed the she had reached the end of the passage by accidently bumping into the heavy wood door. Rubbing her head, she knocked.

I hope you liked my Fanfiction! Please tell me what you think and whether I should continue the story!
