I'm sorry for the long delay but here is the next chapter.

Prelims Part 2

Everyone was looking at the board for the next match. It finally stopped on Tenten vs Mana Tatsumiya.

Both girls walked down the stairs side by side to their places in front of the proctor for this part of the exam.

"Alright lady's, if you're both ready we will begin" Hayate said raising his hand.

Both of them nodded their heads and Hayate dropped his hand saying "Begin."

"Before we start may I ask you why you left your guitar case up with your team?" Tenten asked Mana.

"It's because what I have in there is of a limited amount and I don't want to use it up before I really need it. Also, what it contains can be more accurate and deadly than any kunai or shuriken" Mana told her in reply.

Tenten looked at her curiosly before she just shrugged. She then jumped back and started throwing kunai and shurikens at Mana quickly and quite accurately.

All Mana did was stand there and start flicking her wrist's at the incoming projectiles.

As everyone watched they saw all of Tenten's weapons fall from the air before they could even get within five feet of Mana.

Lee and Guy looked at what was happening with a slightly startled expression.

"I have never seen anyone who could do that to Tenten when she start's aiming at them" Guy said with a little awe.

"Well, Mana usually use's a weapon that travel's at a much greater velocity than what Tenten's throwing at her" Anko chuckled.

"That is quite amazing, but how is she blocking all of them?" Lee asked.

"Look at the floor in front of Mana. There is more lying down there than just kunai's and shuriken's" Anko said while pointing towards the floor in front of Mana.

"Are those coins?" Guy asked with a bit of shock in his voice.

All Anko did was smirk.

After Tenten got done throwing her last kunai she looked and frowned. She noticed that all of her weapons had been knocked out of the air. She then looked closer and saw all of the coins lying on the floor in front of Mana.

"You used coins to block all of those projectiles that I threw" Tenten said a little astonished.

Mana smirked "Yeah, I could've blocked them kunai for kunai and shuriken for shuriken, but this was a lot easier for me because I'm used to the weight of a coin and could judge the distance and speed needed to block them than the other way."

Everyone on the balconies were a little amazed by what she said.

Tenten frowned before she pulled out two kunai's, one in each hand, and charged Mana.

Mana took a second to think and then charged at Tenten.

Both girls met in the middle of the arena with Tenten stopping the thrust of her kunai's just before they would have cut Mana's throat and pierced her chest. Mana had slammed both of her hands into Tenten's stomach making her eyes go wide. A second after that the back of Tenten's dress tore to pieces before she fell to the floor.

Hayate looked at the two before he raised his hand "The winner is."

Mana turned to him before he finished "I'm sorry to interrupt mister proctor but I think this was a tie between the two of us. She could have killed me if she didn't stop when she did, so even though I knocked her out I lost as well."

Hayate smiled "Very good assessment Tatsumiya-san. Then I declare this match a tie."

Mana then picked up Tenten and carried her to her teammates.

While she did this everyone else watched the board to see who would be the next ones to fight.

The board continued for a few seconds before it stopped on Kankuro vs Choji Akimichi

Kankuro smirked to his teammates "This will be easy. I mean look at the fatso."

"Don't underestimate him. That might be your downfall" his female teammate told him.

"Hmph, you worry to much Temari" he told her before heading down to the arena floor.

"Alright Choji, if you win I treat you to an all you can eat BBQ buffet" Asuma, Choji's Jonin sensei told him while patting him on the back.

Choji got a fire in his eyes before he charged down the steps to the arena floor.

Hayate watched as the two contestants stopped right in front of him. The first one was Choji, being an Akimichi he was a very round boy. The second one was Kankuro who was wearing what looked like make-up, a full bodied black cat suit, and had a bundle wrapped up on his back with some black fur sticking out the top.

Hayate raised his hand looking at both of them "Are the two of you ready?" he asked while watching both of them nod. He then quickly lowered his hand and said "Begin!"

Choji immediately had his body expand while retracting each of his limbs and head saying "Nikudan Sensha!" He then started to roll towards Kankuro at a high rate of speed.

Kankuro took the bundle off of his back and tossed it away from himself.

Choji rolled right over Kankuro smashing him into the ground, making everyone wince when he did. Choji didn't stop until he slammed into to wall behind Kankuro.

Everyone thought that the fight was over until Chao told them to look while pointing at the bundle that Kankuro tossed away. They saw the wrappings fall away and a second Kankuro stand up with his hand held outwards. They then looked at the spot the where the first Kankuro had been when he was run over by Choji. They watched as that Kankuro lifted up and the face crumble away to revel a wooden face.

The real Kankuro then twitched his hand and the fake one split apart with the limbs and head coming off the body of what they all realized now was a puppet. Were the limbs and head had been attached to the body blades popped out. He then sent the limbs and head towards Choji with the blades pointing at him. Before Choji could do anything all five blades had cut him.

After a few seconds Choji's transformation disappeared and he fell down on the floor with sweat poring off of his face and panting heavily.

Kankuro twitched his hand again reforming his puppet "You might want to get him to a doctor. The poison on Crow's blades isn't very lethal, unless it's left untreated."

Hayate frowned "Winner Kankuro. Get the medics in here so that Akimichi-san can get treated." he said trying to get some help for Choji quickly.

"Do you think Choji will be alright sensei?" Ino asked Asuma.

"Yes, if that boy from Suna was telling the truth" he told her as they watched the medics take Choji away for treatment.

Hayate turned to the board to see who would be the next one to compete. It took a few seconds before the board stopped on Naruto Uzumaki vs Yoroi Akado

Naruto raised his hand and said "Yes!"

Before he was able to head down to the arena floor though Chao grabbed him. "Remember, don't reveal your new form unless absolutely necessary. Understand."

Naruto nodded remembering back to how he got his new form.

(Flashback Start)

Both team Ibiki and team Anko arrived at Seal Room Eight along with Naruto.

After entering Zazie turned and hugged Naruto surprising him.

"Umm sis, why is she hugging me?" Naruto asked Chao.

"It's a long story, but I guess I'll have to start from the beginning. You see Zazie's grandmother came to the Elemental Nation's a very long time ago" Chao started to tell them.

Ibiki raised an eyebrow "How long ago are we talking here?"

"During the time of the Sage of the Six Paths. You remember how our history books say that the Sage created the Bijuu" Chao answered him.

Anko, Ibiki, and surprisingly Naruto nodded.

"Well the Sage apparently wasn't as pure as the history books say" Chao told them.

"What do you mean?" Anko asked getting curious.

"Zazie, do you mind letting go of my brother and showing them the note sent from your family servant" Chao said getting a little frustrated with her.

Zazie let go of Naruto and showed them the note from her servant Maugrim.

Anko immediately started laughing after she read it, while Ibiki just shook his head, and Naruto actually was able to figure out why Zazie had hugged him.

"You mean the Kyuubi no Kitsune, Nine-Tailed Fox Demon inside of me is actually one part of her grandmother?" Naruto asked a little dumbfounded.

Chao and Zazie both nodded.

"Alright, that's great and all, but why are we in this seal room?" Anko asked getting right to the point.

"To extract the soul part of Zazie's grandmother from my brother, so that we can join all of the pieces back together to reunite her with her grandmother" Chao told them with a kind of finality.

"Um Chao, I don't know how to break this to you but you can't remove that piece of her grandmother from him without killing him in the process" Ibiki told her with a bit of worry in his voice.

"..." Zazie told them with a nod.

"Wait, your telling me that you know how to do it without killing him" Anko looked at her with amazement.

"..." Zazie said with a bit of a frown before she continued "..."

"So, let me get this straight. The first part of the ritual will only remove her soul, but not her chakra and since it's demonic chakra it will kill me because I'm human. The second half of the ritual will then turn me into a half-demon so that I don't die from the demonic chakra left in my body" Naruto said surprising everyone that he had understood what Zazie had said.

Zazie nodded and added "..."

Everyone's jaws dropped when she said that.

"Does that mean I would be your aunt?" Chao asked her.

Zazie tilted her head for a second then smiled and nodded.

Everyone then turned to Naruto.

He looked at each of them before he sighed "You're leaving it up to me on whether I let you do this ritual, right?"

They all nodded.

Naruto closed his eyes so that he could think for a few minutes. He then opened his eyes and smiled at Zazie "How can I deny you the ability to get your grandmother back. That would be just wrong. Plus, in the process I gain more people to call family for myself. Let's do this"

Zazie smiled the started to direct everyone in what they would have to do during the ritual.

(Flashback End)

Naruto stood across from his opponent with a small fox like smirk on his face. His opponent had the same outfit one that his teammate Misumi Tsurugi had.

Hayate raised his hand "Are you two ready?"

Both Naruto and Yoroi nodded their heads.

Hayate dropped his hand saying "Begin!"

Yoroi charged at Naruto with his hands starting to glow blue. When he got near Naruto he went to punch him in the head, but he did it so sloppily that Naruto was able to grabbed it before he was even close to hitting him.

"You're going to have to do better than that to hit me" Naruto told him as he started to twist Yoroi's hand behind his back.

Yoroi smiled "Who said I was actually trying to hit you."

Naruto started to feel his chakra drain as if someone had left the facet open so that it dripped out very slowly.

At this same time Yoroi's hand started to burn. When he felt this he tried to pull his hand out of Naruto's grip, but couldn't.

"There's something wrong with your chakra" Yoroi hissed at him.

Naruto raised an eyebrow "So, that's why your taijutsu was so horrible. You wanted me to grab a hold of you so that you could start to drain my chakra. Though it seems that my chakra doesn't agree with you" he said as he raised Yoroi's hand to watch as the skin was starting to burn.

Yoroi in a despreate move quickly swung a kick at Naruto's head.

Naruto leaned back avoiding the kick, but still managed to hold onto Yoroi's hand.

"You could give up now, because I'm not going to let go of your hand until you do" Naruto told him.

Yoroi quickly went through the options in his head about what he could do and he couldn't come up with anything to give him an advantage at the moment. He then raised his other hand "Proctor I surrender."

All of Naruto's friends from the village couldn't believe that he had just won his match by only grabbing his opponent's hand before he hit him.

Naruto let go of Yoroi's hand and headed back up to the balcony to stand next to Chao and her friends.

Chao leaned towards him "Why did your opponent quit?"

Naruto smirked "It seems my new chakra didn't agree with him. He apparently can absorb the chakra of his opponent's through skin contact."

"So he had a bad match up with you. Though it would have been bad for him if it was Zazie or Kotaro instead" Chao chuckled.

Naruto nodded while watching who would be fighting next.

The board stopped on Shino Aburame vs Kin Tsuchi.

Naruto looked over and saw Shino head towards the stairs "Do think Shino will be OK against her. I've never even seen the village symbol that she wears before."

"He be fine as long as he find out that she use sound for attacks" Ku told them.

Chao looked at her "What do you mean?"

"My opponent use sound from gauntlet to make me feel sick. She probably use something similar" Ku said while eyeing Shino's opponent.

After Shino stopped in front of Hayate he looked at his opponent very closely. She was slightly shorter then him with black hair tied in a ponytail that went down to her waist. She also was wearing a sleeveless jacket with black and grey cameo pants and a cameo neck protector in the same colors.

Hayate looked at the both of them "Are you two ready?"

They both gave him a nod.

"Then Begin!" he shouted before jumping away.

Kin jumped back and flung four senbon needles at him.

Shino easily sidestepped them and watched as they imbeded themselves into the wall behind him with a raised eyebrow. He then looked at her "Your use of sound waves will not help you against me."

Kin looked a little startled but just smirked "I doubt that. Everyone uses sound and if the right frequency is used you can do almost anything." She then proceeded to tug on the strings attached to the four needles which had the bells on them start to ring.

Shino watched as it appeared that his opponent started to multiple. He shock his head "There are creature that don't rely on sound to communicate as well. Such as the Kikaichu that are now attaching to your back and draining you of your chakra."

Kin not really believing him just smirked before she felt something crawl along her neck. She then turned her head to look at her back and saw it covered in a black swarming mass of beetles. She screamed just as her eyes rolled up into her head and she fainted.

Hayate came forward looking down at the girl as the beetles left her back and headed back to Shino, crawling underneath his clothing. He shook his head "The winner is Shino Aburame."

Medics came and took Kin away as Shino walked back up to the balcony to stand with his team. When he got there one of his Kikaichu came out from under his sleeve and flew to land on the back of Zazie's hand. He watched as she lifted up her hand and looked at it before it flew back to him, with her watching it the whole time.

While that was going on everyone watched the board to see who would be fighting next.

A/N: I leaving it there. For those of you who were wondering about how they would extract they Kyuubi from Naruto, you just got your explaination. Now as I said the ritual only removes the soul of the Bijuu not the chakra. That means to save the person it was removed from they have to be turned into a half-demon and yes you will see what Naruto looks like in his new form. The reason he still looked normal was because Zazie taught him how to disguise himself in the short time they had from them removing the Kyuubi's soul from him as the start of the prelims.
