it was mothers day in the monastery. Master Wu was allowing them to let their mother's come so the ninja could show them around. Jay was showing Edna the flying ship and explaining how it worked, Kai, and Nya was talking with their mother after not seeing her in so long they just wanted to enjoy each other's company. Llyod was looking in the scroll room with his mother.
The only two, not celebrating were Zane and Cole. Zane because he just never had one so he was just hanging out with pixal. Cole on the other hand didn't celebrate because she died. Cole usually spent this day with his dad but, Lou had a couple of different performances today so he and cole couldn't this year.
So that left cole alone in his room. cole always thought about her on this day he still remembered that day in the hospital she died.
flashback His mother was about to go to surgery to try and remove the cancer inside of her(i don't know how this works so...). as cole looked up to her he could see that she was hurting and in pain as she told cole she will be alright and that the nice doctors are going to help her. As they rolled her into the room she cast Cole and Lou one last smile before she turned the corner. They waited for hours pacing and when Cole asked what was taking so long Lou responded I don't know. Minutes later a nurse came out and said I'm sorry for your loss. instantly they both started sobbing on the floor. it was after that day Cole swore to himself he would always be strong for his dad.
Cole's eyes started glimmering when he thought about it. When it was time for dinner kai knocked on cole's door saying dinner's ready. cole quickly wiped his eyes getting rid of the tears. Coming! he responded. When Cole finally made his way to the dining room he got himself a plate and quickly sat down. The other ninja and their moms were talking about embarrassing childhood moments when suddenly Jay asked Hey Cole where's your mom and they turn their heads and stare at Cole wanting to know as well. Cole responded with "she can't". why not? questioned Maya because she died when I was younger cole finally responded. oh, I am so sorry said, Lloyd. it's okay. Cole muttered back. If you don't mind I'm going to go lie down for a bit. ok's were heard all around the table.
When Cole finally got to his room he started crying when memories of her flashed through his head until he finally cried himself to the point of exhaustion. I miss you, mom cole whispered before he fell asleep.
