I know its been a while. I apologize for the long wait. I've been working on most of my stories in a rotating manor. I've also been trying out some new story ideas. I now give you the finals of the Nimbasa City Contest.

Finals

Miyako joined her friends sitting in the stands to watch the Finals of the Nimbasa City Pokemon Contest.

"I'm sorry you didn't make it into the Finals, Miyako," Cilan said as she sat down.

"It's alright. I think I did pretty well for my first time participating in a Contest," she said as she concentrated on the matches.

"Yeah, you did quite well. Tough I hope either Dawn or May wins," Ash said.

"Yeah, what are we going to do if Princess wins?" Kaoru asked.

"I don't know. We'll just have to figure that out after the Contest is over," Momoko replied.

"They're starting the first match of the semifinals," Iris said as she pointed at the stage.

"Our first match of the semifinals is May Vs Jessilina," the announcer said as the two came on stage.

As May walked onto the stage she had an air of confidence. She walked to her spot and stood there looking at her opponent.

Jessilina came onto the stage with a bit of nervousness, but clearly determined to do her best.

"Alright, begin," the announcer said as he quickly got off the stage.

"Come on out Beautifly," May said as she tossed her Pokeball into the air.

What came out was a butterfly looking Pokemon that was about half as tall as she was. It had a long black proboscis, grey limbs, big blue eyes, mostly black wings with spots of yellow, blue, and red. It's head was mostly grey with black antennas and a black and grey body.

Jessilina smiled, "Come out, Yanmega."

What appeared out of the Pokeball was a dragonfly about as big as Jessilina herself. Its body was dark green, with red spots on the sides of its body and the top of its tail, three black spikes on its back and one on its tail. Its six legs were black, red tri-facited eyes, a pair of wings attached to its tail, and a red dot on the tip of its four front wings.

Miyako and Ash used their Pokedexes to identify the two Pokemon.

Miyako's Pokedex said, "Beautifly, the Butterfly Pokemon. Beautifly has a long mouth like a coiled needle, which is very convenient for collecting pollen from flowers. This Pokemon rides the spring wind as it flits around gathering pollen. This Pokemon is male. Its types are Bug and Flying."

Ash's Pokedex said, "Yanmega, the Ogre Darner Pokemon. This six-legged Pokemon is easily capable of transporting an adult in flight. The wings on its tail help it stay balanced. This Pokemon is female. Its types are Bug and Flying."

"A bug vs bug battle. This will be a very interesting battle," Cilan told them as they continued to watch.

"Beautifly use 'Double Team' and 'Silver Wind'," May told her Pokemon while pointing at her opponents.

"Yanmega counter with 'Double Team' and 'Air Slash'," Jessilina replied to May's attack.

Both Beautifly and Yanmega made multiple copies of themselves.

Then Beautifly flapped its wings sending a silvery powder at Yanmega.

At the same time Yanmega's wings glowed before it sent two blades of air towards Beautifly. The two blades of air dispersed the silvery powder and went straight through two of the copies of Beautifly.

May bit her lip before saying, "Beautifly use 'Psychic' to hold Yanmega still then hit it with a 'Bug Buzz'."

After she said that Beautifly's eyes glowed purple before Yanmega was held in place as a purple aura appeared around it. Beautifly then made a loud buzzing sound which sent waves of sound at Yanmega.

Fortunately Yanmega managed to break free of Beautifly's hold. It then dodged Beautifly's next attack.

"Yanmega use 'Ancient Power'," Jessilina said with a smirk.

Yanmega stopped its darting movements long enough to summon a ring of stones floating around its body. After that the stones then shot towards Beautifly at a high rate of speed.

Unfortunately Beautifly was unable to dodge any of them and was hit by them all. The damage that Beautifly sustained was enough to knock it unconscious.

A referee stepped forward and said, "Beautifly is unable to battle. Jessilina will continue onto the Finals."

May and Jessilina both returned their Pokemon to their Pokeballs. Then Jessilina hesitated a bit before she squared her shoulders and walked towards May. When she got there she put out her hand which May immediately took and shook.

"Well that was surprising. I thought May might have been able to win that. She has had a lot of experience fighting in contest battles," Ash said with a frown.

"Actually, I thought they were quite evenly matched. Though the moves they used were nearly identical," Cilan replied.

After Jessilina and May left the stage the announcer came forward and said, "Our second match of the semifinals is Dawn vs Princess."

Both contestants came out onto the stage and bowed to the audience before bowing to each other.

"Come out Togekiss," Dawn called out while tossing her Pokeball into the air.

What appeared was a white Pokemon that was about as big as Dawn was. It had a large oval shaped body with a pair of large wings. There were three large spikes coming out of its head.The right one was red while the left one was blue and the central one was white. It had a pair of small feet with a smattering of blue and red triangles on its belly.

Princess gave a smirk before she tossed her Pokeball into the air calling out, "Come out Liepard."

The Pokemon that appeared looked like a very large cat. The top half of its body was a reddish brown with its chest, front half of its face, and the lower half of its legs being a light tan. It also had a pink mask going from ear to ear and around both eyes and across the nose. There were also light tan spots and circles on top of its body.

Kaoru and Momoko point their Pokedexes at the revealed Pokemon.

Momoko's identified the white one first, "Togekiss, the Jubilee Pokemon. It shares many blessings with people who respect one another's rights and avoid needless strife. This Pokemon is female. Its types are Normal and Flying."

"Liepard, the Cruel Pokemon. Stealthily, it sneaks up on it's targets, striking from behind before its victim has a chance to react. This Pokemon is female. Its type is Dark. This is also a shiny form of this Pokemon," Kaoru's Pokedex says aloud.

"What's it mean by Shiny?" Kaoru asked slightly confused.

"Shiny Pokemon are ones that don't have the standard coloration. They also are usually stronger than their non-shiny counterparts. It's also extremely rare to find them," Misty answered her.

Dawn bit her lip before she said, "Togekiss use 'Safeguard' and follow it up with 'Aura Sphere'."

"Dodge her attack and use 'Fake Out'," Princess told her Pokemon.

Togekiss's body glowed white briefly before it launched a blue sphere at her opponent.

The Shiny Liepard jumped out of the way of the sphere and ran at Togekiss. It moved to Togekiss's right before quickly sifting left and hitting Togekiss with its paw.

Dawn winced when Togekiss got hit. She then said, "Use 'Sky Attack' and pin Liepard down."

"Liepard dodge it at the last second and use 'Fury Swipes'," Princess commanded.

Togekiss rose into the air before glowing blue and then speeding towards Liepard on the ground.

Liepard watched Togekiss come at it. Just before Togekiss could connect with its attack Liepard moved about three feet away from where it had been standing and extended its claws before swiping at Togekiss three times.

Togekiss quickly moved away after it was scratched by Liepard.

"There's nothing I can do to stop Liepard's speed. I think I'm going to have to use that move," Dawn thought before she said, "Alright, Togekiss use 'Metronome'."

Princess raised an eyebrow before she told her Pokemon, "Use 'Pay Day'."

Togekiss started to wiggle its wings before chunks of ice began falling onto the field.

At the same time Liepard jumped doing a front flip and a handful of coins flew at Togekiss.

The chunks of ice hit both Liepard and Togekiss hurting them both while the coins hit Togekiss damaging her further.

Dawn bit her lip, "I don't know what I can do." "Togekiss use 'Metronome' again."

Princess pointed with a smile, "Liepard finish Togekiss off with 'Hyper Beam'."

Togekiss wiggled its wings again and sunlight began to collect in front of her.

Liepard opened her mouth and gathered energy quickly before she sent out a beam that slammed into Togekiss causing a lot of smoke to fill the stage.

When the smoke cleared Togekiss was on the stage unconscious.

The announcer came forward and said "The winner is Princess. She will go onto the Finals with Jessilina."

Princess smiled as she returned Liepard to its Pokeball before she picked up all the coins that were summoned by 'Pay Day'.

Dawn also returned her Pokemon to its Pokeball. She then walked up to Princess and held out her hand.

Princess looked at Dawn's hand before she turned up her nose and walked away.

"She's become full of herself since the last time we saw her," Kaoru said with a shake of her head.

"I don't know who Jessilina is but I hope she gives Princess a loss that she won't forget," Miyako told everyone.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

It was about fifteen minutes later when the announcer stood on the center of the stage. "Without further adue we will start the last match of the Nimbasa Contest. First we have the red haired unknown Jessilina," the announcer said as he indicated the right side of the stage.

Jessilina walked onto the stage and gave a twirl before bowing to the audience and the judges.

"And the other unknown the orange haired, crown wearing Princess," the announcer said indicating the left side of the stage.

Princess walked onto the stage with her head held high. When she got to her spot on the stage all she did was look at her opponent with disdain.

"Are both contestants ready?" the announcer asked.

Both teens nodded.

The announcer dropped his hand, "Then begin."

Jessilina tossed out her Pokeball, "Come out, Seviper."

What came out of the Pokeball was a very large black snake with a blade like tail. It had yellow diamond spots on its back with a yellow lower jaw, long red fangs, red eyes, and purple slash like marks on its body.

Princess threw out her Pokeball saying, "Come out, Nidoqueen."

The Pokemon that appeared was almost as tall as its trainer. It looked almost like a reptile, except it stood up on its rear legs. Almost all of its body was light blue in color with two patches of light tan on its chest, two stripes on its lower belly, and its lower jaw. It had large ears and spines on different parts of its body.

Miyako and Kaoru used their Pokedexes to identify the two Pokemon.

Miyako's Pokedex went first, "Seviper, the Fang Snake Pokemon. Seviper's sword like tail serves two purposes - it slashes foes and douses them with secreted poison. This Pokemon will not give up its long-running blood fued with Zangoose. This Pokemon is Male. Its type is Poison."

Kaoru's Pokedex went next, "Nidoqueen, the Drill Pokemon. Nidoqueen's body is encased in extremely hard scales. It is adept at sending foes flying with harsh tackles. This Pokemon is at its strongest when it is defending its young. This Pokemon is Female. Its types are Poison and Ground."

"This looks like it might be an interesting match," Ash told them.

The others nodded in agreement.

"Seviper, use 'Poison Tail'," Jessilina said as it looked like she might be a little intimidated by her opponents Pokemon.

"Nidoqueen, use 'Ice Beam' and follow it up with 'Thunderbolt'," Princess told her Pokemon with a confident smirk.

Seviper's tail glowed purple before it slithered towards Nidoqueen. Nidoqueen opened her mouth quickly gathered light blue energy and then shot it at Seviper. Seviper almost avoided being hit, but the beam hit Seviper in its middle freezing it in place. Nidoqueen then let out a roar before about ten bolts of lightning slammed into the stage shattering the ice and hurting Seviper badly.

As Seviper was sent flying from the from the lightning strike he was able to hit Nidoqueen on the side of the head with its tail dazing her slightly.

"Nidoqueen, use 'Earth Power' and end this," Princess said with a slight growl.

"Crud, if I don't think of something I'm going to lose this," Jessilina thought before she smiled, "Seviper, jump at Nidoqueen using 'Wrap' and follow it up with 'Crunch'."

Nidoqueen stomped its foot on the stage causing the stage under Seviper to exploded upward. Seviper managed to launch itself at Nidoqueen at the same moment the the stage exploded. When Seviper got within a few inches from Nidoqueen he curled around her body. After Seviper's body had fully encircled Nidoqueen's he started to squeeze as tightly as possible before he opened his mouth and bit down on Nidoqueen's neck, causing Nidoqueen to let out a high pitched cry.

Princess stood there in shock not being able to think of what to do to turn the tables.

"Seviper, continue to use 'Wrap' and 'Crunch'," Jessilina told her Pokemon.

Seviper continued to follow Jessilina's instructions slowly wearing Nidoqueen's health down. All Nidoqueen could do was thrash about in pain while crying out in pain.

In about thirty seconds after the start of Seviper's attack Nidoqueen fell to the ground unconscious.

The referee quickly walked forward and raised his arm pointing at Jessilina, "The winner of the match is Jessilina. Meaning Jessilina is the winner of this year's Annual Nimbasa Contest."

Jessilina blinked for a few seconds before she let out a whoop of joy.

Her Seviper unwrapped himself from his opponent before coming over to her. He curled himself around her and rested his head on her shoulder.

It was this image that was taken for her contest victory photo.

At the same time Princess recalled her Pokemon and sent a quick glare at Elesa before she walked off the stage.

Elesa came onto the stage and gave Jessilina her ribbon for winning the contest.

The ribbon was electric yellow in color and had a blue lightning bolt holding it together.

Jessilina thanked her before holding the ribbon up as she walked off stage with her Pokemon following her.

"Wow, I actually thought Princess was going to win that," Momoko said while blinking in astonishment.

"I don't think she expected Jessilina to pull what she did at the end. As you saw she just stood there when that happened. She just frooze up," Iris told them while shaking her head.

"Yeah, but we're going to have to hurry if we want to catch her before she disappears," Kaoru said as she got up.

The others followed her hoping to capture the Villianess before she left the city.

A/N: First off I'm apologizing for the long wait on this chapter. I unfortunately got really busy with things and was unable to do any writing this past month. I actually wanted to have this written and posted last month.

Next I do have a new poll on my profile. This one is about whether or not I should do a Harry Potter/Pokemon crossover. I hope you put in a vote, though I don't plan on doing anything with it for quite some time.
