I couldn't wait to hear what happened at the exams from my pretty bird. So when I saw her, head buried in her crossed arms in her pyjamas. The shake of her shoulders threw me off. Rushing to her side, I wrapped my arm around her shoulder to comfort her.
"What's wrong Pretty Bird" When she just cried harder, I picked her up from the couch placing on my lap. She flung her arms around my neck, sobbing into my neck.
"I failed the exam, I was so focused on saving others I only destroyed 3 robots." she choked back her tears, holding her close, was all I felt I could do to calm her tears.
"I'm so sorry Pretty Bird" I whispered into her green hair, running my finger through the silky strands.
I sat there the rest of the night, listening to Izumi's cry herself to sleep. Once I was sure she was out I carried her to my room laying her down before grabbing a pair of loss bottoms. Changing quickly, I didn't want Izumi to wake up by herself. Joining her I pulled her close, she reached her hand to rest it on my side.
"I love you Pretty Bird" kissing her hair, I let myself drift off already planning a way to cheer up my little love.
Next Morning

Throwing the phone against the wall, I raged inside my office, after having gotten off the phone with U.A, pacing the length of the room. Those bastards weren't going to recognize Izumi's actions in the exam Because they didn't see her. A teacher told them the truth but was ignored because of All Might. The blond shit told the other teachers she couldn't possibly be that powerful after only having her quirk for less than a year and they believed him.
"Egotistical Asshole" I screamed making a hole in the wall with my fist. knowing I had to get out of here before, I blew up on one of my sidekicks or worse Izumi. Looking towards the open window I smirked 'Perfect' I thought jumping out, flying into the city, hoping to find a villain to pulverize into the ground.
It seems God was on my side today as a large group of villains was running down the business district, destroying the buildings as they went. I let some feather fly, digging them in one's flesh.
"HAWKS" the leader screams upon seeing me coming at him at high speeds.
With all the rage inside me, my primal instincts take over my mind. All my mind could comprehend at this point was, my mate was hurting and I didn't know how to help her and that made me angry. I didn't even notice when other heroes showed up as back up.
3rd Person P.O.V
Everyone watched as Hawks landed his head down they thought something was wrong. The heroes had never seen Hawks this way unresponsive to their calls. they watched him pull two feathers from his wings as if they were swords. Keigo looked up at the band of villains his eyes cold, unforgiving as a feral grin crossed his lips.
"I've been having a bad day, prepare to be crushed," He said the twisted grin never leaving his face.
What happened could only be described as a massacre. Hawks for the first time killed in front of civilians, the feral part of his mind not caring, thinking them a danger to his currently vulnerable mate.
At U.A
The teachers were horrified at the sight of the hero that had called them only ten minutes ago. The carnage he left in his wake was worse than Endeavours. Hound Dog knew the look in the hero's eyes though, having seen it only twice. It's not well known, but people with animal mutations can go feral for several reasons. Most of them come out of it but their feral instincts will control many of their actions the rest of their lives.
"He's gone feral" He breathed out.
Nedzu heard him and had to agree, the girl Hawks called about had to be family in some way.
All Might blamed himself for those deaths he was the one who told the other about Izumi's circumstances blocking her from joining the hero course. Even with everything she did to help others and protect them. He had seen everything she had done but judged her for her possible connection to HIM.
Back to Hawks

I felt numb to the blood on my coat, tossing it to the laundry before Izumi could see it. Seeing my door still, a jar told me all I need to know, my little bird never left the bed. Walking in was worse, she was staring blankly at the wall.
"Pretty Bird," getting her attention, she sat up before turning to me, a shaky smile on her face.
"Welcome back, Keigo" The joy in her voice was forced, it hurt to hear her this way. Every part of me was screaming to take her somewhere safe I almost listened. The only thing that stopped me was knowing Izumi would hate it, she despised being coddled.
So I just held her tight to my body, arching my wings around us hiding us from the world.
"I love you Izumi"
"I love you too Keigo"
